9:36 pm
campus. the university of nevada campus. the university of nevada campus. let*s return to what we were discussing come of their public and debate which will be taking place tonight in alabama. just before we went to that, we were obviously focusing on what donald trump said last night at his town hall, this idea or a concern that there is in the country that were he to be elected he would use the department ofjustice to go after his enemies, those who have pushed some of these court cases that he*s facing. it struck me listening to back that he suddenly given his base a get out here. he*s basically saying that if i were returning to the white house, i were returning to the white house, i will be securing the border, i will be drilling for more oil. want to they say, if that is dictatorship, i am all in for that. yes, but what is so odd about the platform committees are just two elements in a platform, what does that have to do it being a dictator?
9:37 pm
this is part, there are two things going on with trump. one, they are trying to sideline the guy with all of these legal things. this is a little bit like imran khan and pakistan. he is the most popular politician in pakistan. they got the guy locked up injail, about 200 cases piled up against him, so it is the same kind of playing on the legal side. the second aspect in terms of sidelining trump is this fearfactor terms of sidelining trump is this fear factor that terms of sidelining trump is this fearfactor that he is terms of sidelining trump is this fear factor that he is some kind of... he is basically going to be a dictator. we are going to have pollutant in the united states in the white house. that is the of narrative, but drilling for more oil and opening up more public lands for oil exploration and development, that doesn*t sound very much like a dictator to me. and doing something about the southern border. we have
9:38 pm
already talked about this whole issue of of the sovereign right of the country to control our borders, and this is an ongoing debate. if you have something in the white house that has a different view than the current president, i don*t see that as much to do with being a dictator. * ., that as much to do with being a dictator. * ~ ., _, . dictator. but i think that concern has been that _ dictator. but i think that concern has been that some _ dictator. but i think that concern has been that some of _ dictator. but i think that concern has been that some of the i has been that some of the comments he*s made on the campaign trail where he has talked about his opponents as being vermin in the fact that he would prosecute them, and actually, people who are very close to him who it may well be in the next white house saying they would go after opponents, including members of the press riots as well. just more broadly speaking, we are not in the primaries and it*s arty starting to look like a national debate between biden and trump and yet you have these four candidates on stage tonight pitching to be the

next president, and i wonder if anybody is really listening. now my country people are listening but the fact that this _ country people are listening but the fact that this crazy _ country people are listening but the fact that this crazy system - country people are listening but the fact that this crazy system has i fact that this crazy system has thrown — fact that this crazy system has thrown out two extremely elderly men to run— thrown out two extremely elderly men to run the _ thrown out two extremely elderly men to run the world's superpower, one of whom _ to run the world's superpower, one of whom is— to run the world's superpower, one of whom is clearly, well, one of whom _ of whom is clearly, well, one of whom is— of whom is clearly, well, one of whom is qualified and totally unfit for any— whom is qualified and totally unfit for any public office. when we talk about _ for any public office. when we talk about and — for any public office. when we talk about and act in a dictator, we are not talking — about and act in a dictator, we are not talking about whether he wants to drill— not talking about whether he wants to drill for— not talking about whether he wants to drill for oil, we are talking about— to drill for oil, we are talking about some of who actually tried to overthrow — about some of who actually tried to overthrow democracy. the legal cases he's overthrow democracy. the legal cases has facing _ overthrow democracy. the legal cases he's facing are not some conspiracy theory— he's facing are not some conspiracy theory legal cases, you know, sort of dreamt — theory legal cases, you know, sort of dreamt up by some nutcase. these are iegal— of dreamt up by some nutcase. these are legal cases that involve the active — are legal cases that involve the active overthrow of democracy. it is active overthrow of democracy. it is a terrifying — active overthrow of democracy. it is a terrifying prospect, but the vast majority _ a terrifying prospect, but the vast majority of — a terrifying prospect, but the vast majority of people that have batman anywhere _ majority of people that have batman anywhere near power ever again, and i do understand why biden feels that

talk about his management of the economy. usjob openings fell to their lowest level in more than two years in october, which is further evidence the us central banks efforts to damp demand with higher interest rates is working. it is somewhat counterintuitive that lower demand is good news. but of course the banks* main focus is inflation. and the fed board has been debating for weeks how much more to squeeze the economy to get inflation under control. this is one of the markers they look at. the other is the monthly payroll data, which has the stats on wage rises, that comes friday. when i look at what is the most read on the bbc website, it*s always about the cost of living and specifically about mortgages. is this the first sign from america that may this rise in interest rate rises is at an end?—

we need to have a responsibility about protecting the integrity of when you work through all of that, on balance, we feel that that at this point, 15 yards for the longest taters is fair and we will have a meaningful impact. but i would think, it*sjust very meaningful impact. but i would think, it*s just very important to understand the average recreational golfer will have an impact of less than five yards. and that*s all the sport for now. hello there. earlier on today, there were about 20 flood warnings in england — we could see the numbers rising in the next few days, because we*ve got spells of wet and windy weather heading our way, and some higher temperatures, as well. and this is the first belt of cloud, starting to bring some rain this evening into more western areas of the uk. that*ll run eastwards, and into the cold air — it was a very cold start in scotland

and double figures are likely in northern ireland, west wales, and the southwest of england. that band of rain continues eastwards during tomorrow evening out into the north sea, lingering up towards shetland on friday. the main driver is that area of low pressure, and it*ll wander eastwards across the uk. there may be some early sunshine across eastern areas, but cloud will increase. we*ve got these showers and longer spells of rain wrapped around the low. and on friday, it*s still quite windy across southern areas of the uk. but it*s milder air — temperatures could reach nine celsius in scotland, and maybe 12—13 in the southeast of england. now into the weekend, and we keep this run of west—to—southwesterly winds coming in. all our weather continues to pile in from the atlantic. now, it won*t be a complete wash—out this weekend — there will be some sunshine and maybe a few showers in between these spells of rain coming in from the west, driven on by some strong winds which should keep it on the mild side.
