we'll start with that big news in golf, that masters champion john rahm has switched to the controversial liv golf tour for next season. it's a major u—turn for the world number three, who had refused to join the saudi—backed breakaway set—up, and was criticial when plans were announced for a partnership between liv and the existing us tour. he's been explaining his decision. i think the innovation in liv is what would push me over to it. ultimately what i wanted to hear. i

believe in the growth of the game of golf. i've spoken about how the game is approved in spain and i've always said how i would like to do the here and if i could reach that audience it would be amazing and i believe this process will help me do that. let's get more on this with our golf correspondent iain carter. thanks forjoining us. jon rahm outlining some of the reasons but a lot of people pointing to the money. why do you think he has gone now? think the money has been a huge factor in this, especially when you consider the criticisms that he has had in the past over the format, the 54 had in the past over the format, the 5a hole shotgun starts that they play but clearly things change from june the 6th when that announcement was made of a potential partnership between the pga world tours and the saudi arabian public investment fund. after thatjon rahm called it

a betrayal and his attitude had changed somewhat, as it has done for a number of players since then because there was much unhappiness about the secret way that deal was done. clearly liv recognised what a huge asset he is potentially going to be for them, and he leaves the pga tour somewhat in disarray. i think the one difficulty faced with this decision was his ryder cup feature because as we've seen with many of the other big european names who have gone one, they ultimately resigned their european tour status and with that any opportunity to play for europe in the ryder cup going forward. i think is very significant that the likes of rory mcilroy are turning round and saying, well, if that's the case we will have to change the rules because europe can't do without someone likejon rahm in future. i someone like jon rahm in future. i know it's hard to predict what's next but where do you think this leaves liv golf in the future with

relatively to the last two seasons. we have lost sight of that. but the mentality is key for me. we took a knock, we know that. there have been a lot of knocks of the last couple of the seasons but the mentality has been growing, the team mentality. the commitment to each other. the connection with each other, that's a really powerful thing. we have belief in each other, it is sticking and that's important. in contrast, tottenham's ange postecoglu said they'd let themselves down again. it was the fifth game in a row they'd dropped points from a winning position, taking them from top of the league, with a five—point lead, down to fifth place. they haven't won since october, and postecoglu is well aware of theirfailings. it all concerning because ultimately, you want to be in a position where you want to be able to take winds and it's always challenges there and the only way to fix that is by recovering and putting on a performance on sunday

and winning the game of football and then move forward from there. but still a long way to go as a team and days like today show clear evidence of that. arsenal manager mikel arteta insists goalkeeper david raya's form is not a concern, despite some costly mistakes. he gifted luton two goals on tuesday, before arsenal eventually won 4—3. arteta, in effect, has two number ones, with raya and aaron ramsdale, as well as backup in karl hein — but he sees no issue and refuses to criticise raya. what he has achieved with us, he's really impressive. but what can i say? i have great goalkeepers. i'm really happy i have great wingers, some of them on the bench. but we have to accept that as well, we have to support our players and the best possible way, we have to protect them and we have to get the best out of them. so i will focus much more on that end of a player needs to write support in the right love and
