we were picking up the sticker books and it was always men but for these young girls, they can dream and they can believe that they can be in these sticker books one day. whose card are you desperate to get hold of? that one! from the playground to the office, shinies and swaps are here to stay — sticking these wsl stars into the history books. sarah dawkins, bbc news, manchester. time for a look at the weather. here's chris fawkes. hello. for many parts of the uk the weather is slightly brightening up. some cloud around than one or two shells but for most at least, a little more sunny out there. but there is one exception to that theme and that is across parts of eastern england, where we have a very slow moving weather front which has been bringing some drizzle. east anglia and the south—east of england. temperatures here struggling to get above 5—6 so optically cold. milder

weather in the west, ten in glasgow and highs up to around 13 in plymouth this afternoon. overnight, a few more showers coming and going across the north of the uk. further southwards, we had some clearer spells developing. that is where we will see some of the lower temperatures. holding up in the countryside to see the odd nip of frost. a cold start tomorrow but an area of high pressure is moving in. despite that, i suspect it will be quite cloudy in wales and southern counties of england. the best of the sunshine to the east of the pennines, for a time in eastern scotland but then rain arriving across the north west in the afternoon. the highest temperatures across western areas, still a little on the cold side in eastern england, just seven for parts of east anglia. into the weekend, we get a weather front stuck across the north—west of scotland. this will be bringing some very large falls of rain, particular focused in on the highlands, where over the high ground we could look at as much as 175 millimetres of

rain, enough to cause flooding issues here and that is a landslip over higher ground. away from that feature, south—westerly winds will be bringing most areas of the uk some mild weather. but i reckon across western areas it will be quite cloudy again, they can offer the odd patch of drizzle, some mist and fog patches. the best of any breaks in the cloud to the east of the pennines and perhaps in eastern areas of scotland, although any sunshine breaking through here will be likely hazy. temperatures around 12 or 13 quite widely, so it will be turning noticeably milder. probably a bit more in the way of sunshine to come for the second half at the weekend in england and wales but rain looks be a bit more extensive across scotland and probably a bit of rain for a time at least getting

we are expecting a police update on the ongoing search in the next half hour, but first let's go live to our reporter maria veronese who's in norwich. thank you so much forjoining us, what is the latest on the search? this morning the police from lancashire, specialist divers resume the search looking for gaynor lord and have broken up now for lunch because that is freezing cold water in the river wensum. yesterday the released footage of gaynor lord leaving her shift which she left an hour before she was due to finish and they released cctv footage showing her running into a london street and then a part of norwich entering an area in the direction of
