welcome along to the programme. we'll start with the action from melbourne on day four of the australian open, where men's defending champion novak djokovic survived a scare to make it into the third round. he was up against a home favourite, in 24—year—old alexi popryin, who won the second set to level the match at one set all. djokovic admitted afterwards popryin was playing the better tennis. at this stage and it went all the way to a tie break in the third, that djokovic eventually won. from there, momentum shifted back to the serb, as he racked up his 30th successive victory at the australian open, his last defeat coming in 2018.
