welcome along. thank you forjoining us. we start then at the top of the english premier league with liverpool extending their lead to five points after a 4—0 win away at bournemouth. after a goalless first half amidst high winds on the english south coast, jurgen klopp's side pushed on with two goals from darwin nunez and a couple too from diegojota. the win moves them five clear of manchester city, arsenal and aston villa, though city have a game in hand. despite missing some big names through injury, the liverpool boss is pleased with how his side are reacting. everything was better. the counter press was better, and so we put them really under pressure and scored wonderful goals. and we all know, sometimes

the ball rolls in the corner and goes inside posts, stuff like this, but it was well played anyway. impact from the bench again as well, so...yeah. it turned into a pretty good evening. i think we were really good to keep the game more or less level for 45 minutes, i would say even we had more chances in the first half, but at the end, you need to beat this kind of opposition, some moments of inspiration to make a difference, and they had the special in the second half, and we didn't. the bournemouth manager there. meanwhile, mohammed salah will to return to liverpool for treatment on the hamstring injury he suffered at the africa cup of nations for egypt. the striker is set to miss his country's next two games at afcon after the muscle injury he sustained in that 2—2 draw with ghana on thursday. egypt face cape verde on monday and need to win if they're to be guaranteed a place in the knockout stages. the latest ever goal scored in the english premier league

saw bottom side sheffield united snatch a 2—2 draw with west ham in sunday's other game in the premier league. frustration for hammers boss david moyes at the end as a 103rd—minute penalty was scored by oli mcburnie with both sides ending the game with ten men. sheffield united are seven points from safety whilst west ham remain sixth. their manager david moyes was unhappy with the decisions that went against his side. disappointed in the end, because, look, we should have easily — not easily, but we should have comfortably got ourselves three points today. i see it as two points dropped. but, look, i'm not going to come out and i'm not going to say too much, because we are the ones who get in trouble. we'd like to, but we are getting to a stage now, the managers, where we are seeing a level of officiating where we are alljust shrugging our shoulders and saying, this is what we're getting now. i've been a sheffield united supporter for about 35, 40 years. it's never any different,

whether it's a game, whether it's the bulk of games, or the season. it's interesting, but it's interesting because we stay with it, and we give it a go. it isn'tjust about the effort and the application and the competitive aspects of it. i thought we played well. chelsea have some breathing space at the top of the women's super league thanks to lauren james. the england international*s hat—trick took her team three points clear as they beat manchester united 3—1 at stamford bridge. khadija shaw also scored a hat—trick as manchester city kept the pressure on chelsea with a dominant victory over liverpool. elisabeth terland scored a 95th—minute winner for brighton in a 3—2 win over bristol city, and grace clinton scored twice as tottenham held on to win a 7—goal thriller at west ham. in spain, england midfielderjude bellingham inspired real madrid as they came from two goals down to beat la liga's bottom side almeria 3—2. the winless visitors took a shock 2—0 lead at the bernabeu with goals from largie ramazani and edgar gonzalez.

bellingham scored a 57th—minute penalty, before viniciuer equalised 10 minutes later. in the ninth minute of added time, bellingham headed across for dani carvajal to poke in the winner. the dramatic victory briefly took real top, but girona moved back to the summit with a 5—1 victory over struggling sevilla later on sunday. next, to the africa cup of nations. morocco are still top of group f after a 1—1 draw against the democratic republic of congo. in the other game in that group, tanzania drew with zambia. in group e game, themba zwane scored twice in 16 first—half minutes as south africa beat namibia 4—0. and at the asian cup, saudi arabia are through to the last 16 with a game to spare after a 2—0 win against nine—man kyrgyzstan in what was a fiery encounter. the central asians were down to ten men as early as the ninth minute when ayzar akmatov was shown a straight red card there following a var review. it took the saudis 26 minutes to break kyrgyzstan*s resilience
3:50 am
and after hitting the post, the ball was eventually turned home by mohamed kanno for his third international goal. kimi bjorn merk followed akmatov in seeing red for this challenge on hassan al—tambakti — also given after a var review. saudi arabia wrapped up the win and progress to the last 16 thanks to this moment to forget from the goalkeeper who allowed faisal al—ghamdi's speculative shot through his fingers. 2—0 it finished. saudi arabia's last group match will be against thailand who are second in the group on four points after drawing 0—0 with oman whose goalkeeper, ibrahim al—mukhaini, made a great save in the first half. this was oman's best chance which came after half time. they secured their first point of the tournament and play kyrgyzstan next. fifa president gianni infantino has called for the implementation of an automatic forfeit

of games for teams whose fans commit racist abuse. it follows incidents which he described as "totally abhorrent" at udinese and sheffield wednesday on saturday. ac milan's win in udine was briefly suspended after alleged racist abuse from home fans towards milan goalkeeper mike maignan. coventry city's kasey palmer said he received similar abuse at hillsborough in a match in england's championship. south yorkshire police have launched an investigation into alleged racially aggravated abuse. infantino coming out with that this morning, the pressure that he would have been under because of the starter walking off the field of play means he can't ignore it. now, i hope what he does then is to provide the further information behind what he means by "forfeit". there's many different ways this can go. i've been...we*ve been as an organisation an advocate of walking off the field of play from the players and an advocate of deducting points
3:52 am
or else we're just going around in circles with the same conversation time and time again. there now need to be actions that are fit for purpose to support the players. i wouldn't have liked to have been in maignan*s situation, as a goalkeeper yesterday, hearing the stuff he had heard, deciding that, you know what, i am going to mentally break through this and play on and then having to do it again, he said, no, enough is enough, i've gotta to walk. i applaud the players around it as well. so i think everybody now — now infantino has come out and said what he said about the forfeit, everybody will be waiting for the next stage. milan keeper mike maignan has released a statement on social media in which he says this isn't the first racist incident he's had to deal with, and he isn't the first to receive such abuse. he is calling for the "entire system" to take responsibility. maignan also thanked his club, ac milan, and the udinese players for their support. england batter harry brook is returning home from the team's preparations for their test tour of india
3:53 am
due to personal reasons. brook has been out with the squad in dubai and his family have requested privacy. the first test against india is in hyderabad on thursday. and england have announced that surrey*s dan lawrence will replace brook in the squad. and despite heading into the weekend ten shots off the lead, rory mcilroy has won the dubai desert classic for a record fourth time. a 63 on saturday put the northern irishman in contention. and while his final round contained fewer fireworks, rivals adrian meronk and overnight leader cameron young couldn't take advantage. and a 2—under par 70 was enough then for mcilroy to win by one shot in the end as he finished on 14 under. ijust have a really good feeling when i come back to dubai, so, you know, that helps me stay relaxed and play some good golf,
3:54 am
and, yeah, i had to hold it together on the back nine there today, it was very tricky, and i was not really thinking about trying to get my name on there for a fourth time, i was just trying to win a golf tournament and, thankfully, i hit enough good shots coming down the stretch to make that happen. yeah, a great comeback there from rory mcilroy. just enough time then to recap our top story. that is liverpool five points clear at the top of the english premier league. nunez scoring twice. diego with two goals as well. they had a 4—0 win at bournemouth. city do have a game in hand. meanwhile, mohamed salah is set to return to liverpool for treatment on the hamstring injury he suffered playing for egypt at the africa cup of nations. jurgen klopp confirming that

news after the game. remember — egypt play that game on monday that they have to win to guarantee their place in the knockout stages at afcon. from me and the team, that is all for now. goodbye. hello there. storm isha is likely to cause significant damage and disruption to parts of the uk as we push into monday morning. met office amber warnings remain in force for severe gales with these damaging gusts of wind and heavy rain. then this heavy rain combined with snow melt, because of the milder temperatures across northern areas likely to lead to localised flooding. the centre of storm isha passing just to the north of scotland, widespread severe gales on its southern flank pretty much covering most of the uk. these are the sorts of wind gusts we can expect, even inland up to 60mph or more, and in excess of 70, 80mph around some irish sea coasts. we could be looking

at in excess of 90mph across parts of northern ireland and western scotland. this amber warning is valid until 6am this morning. these are the sorts of temperatures we can expect to start monday morning — 6—ii celsius. so, storm isha's likely to bring significant disruption to travel for the monday morning rush. stay tuned to your bbc local radio bulletins and also bbc breakfast for all the latest updates. monday itself looks very windy, though storm isha pulling away into the norwegian sea, stays blustery with scattered showers, most of these in scotland, northern ireland with some snow falling on the hills. some of the showers will be heavy at times. best of the sunshine will tend to be across eastern parts of the country, and these sorts of temperatures can be 7 to ii celsius. but as we move through monday evening and overnight, the winds will begin to ease down as a ridge of high pressure starts to build and the showers will also die off across northern and western areas. it'll turn dry, clear and cool across the north and east

of the uk, but the next spell of wet and windy weather will start to work its way into western areas early on tuesday morning. here it is then on the pressure chart, the next low—pressure system to bring a spell of rain and gales. not as severe as storm isha, but still, a blustery day to come, wet and windy weather across western areas will spread to all areas through the day. could see some transient snow on the mountains of scotland before the milder air starts to move northwards across the whole country, and it will be very mild indeed for the time of year with temperatures reaching 14, maybe 15 celsius. the weather remains quite changeable as we move through the rest of the week, wet and windy spells interspersed with drier and sunnier moments. and generally for the time of year, it's going to stay mild throughout.
