doing right in the first two sets and i guess this is one of the worst grand slam matches i've ever played. at least that i remember. so, yeah, not a very pleasant feeling playing this way. well sinner was the only man to beat djokovic twice last year, as part of the davis cup and the groups of the atp finals, but has never beaten the world number one at a grand slam, with djokovic winning their only two meetings at wimbledon. it means so much for me to beat novak djokovic here in melbourne, but i know that the judgment is not over. sunday is the final. there are different emotions because a final is always different. it doesn't really matter how big the tournament is. in my mind today i knew it was

the semifinal, it's not that you win a tournament like this, so i am looking forward to sunday and let's see what's coming. and what a fightback to bring you in the other semifinal, where daniil medvedev in the last hour has sealed his spot in the final after coming from two sets down to beat alex zverev. zverev, who'd beaten britain's cameron norrie and world number two carlos alcaraz stormed ahead, taking the first two sets and was looking confident of making a first australian open final, but his opponent is another used to battling back and levelled the match at two sets all, winning both on tie breaks. with that momentum, he clinched the decider 6—3 and has the chance to win his first melbourne title. elsewhere, alfie hewett and gordon reid won theirfifth consecutive wheelchair australian opens doubles title. andy lapthorne also win his seventh quad doubles title in melbourne. but there was disapointment, for britain's neal skupski earlier, who lost in the final of the mixed doubles. he and his partner, desirae krawczyk, were a set up and leading 4—2, until their opponents fought back to win the decider on a tie—break.

india lead england by 175 runs at the end of the second day's play of the first test. it started well for england in hyderabad. joe root took a wicket in the first over of the day, yashasvi jaiswal unable to add to his 80 overnight. then there was a wicket for debutant tom hartley. he struggled on his first day of test cricket, but picked up two on his second. but almost all of india's batsmen made contributions and ravindra jadeja was still there not out on 81 at the end as india closed on a21—7. and just a reminder of our top story now and jurgen klopp has announced he's leaving liverpool at the end of the season. he is checked talk at a press conference at three o'clock this afternoon. there's live reaction on the bbc sport website. former liverpool defender jamie carragher says "this news was always going to be a body blow to the club whenever it came.

whilst the winds are lighter in the south, it's still quite blustery further north. overnight through the night we're still likely to have some gales in the far north—west of scotland. it's going to be across the northern half of scotland we continue to see the showers into the night. the odd one possible for northern ireland and then maybe into the far north of england just for a while with a bit more cloud. further south the winds will be lighter, skies will be clearer. it's going to turn quite chilly in the south—east of england, temperatures could be close to freezing by saturday morning. not quite so cold further north in scotland and northern ireland. the weekend is looking pretty good for most of us. a lot of dry weather around, some sunshine at times and those temperatures are going to be rising, as well. most of the rain, i think, as we head into saturday is going to be on that band of cloud and rain in the far north of scotland. we could get one or two spots of rain in the afternoon for northern ireland, later in western scotland, otherwise it's going to be dry. the sunshine will be a bit hazy at times, but temperatures will be higher than today at around nine or ten degrees. there is a weather frontjust sort

of lurking out in the atlantic and eventually it will arrive in the far north—west of the uk, but, ahead of that, the winds are going to be picking up. it's going to be a southerly wind on sunday and that means temperatures will continue to rise. maybe a bit more cloud around on sunday, especially around some of these western hills and coasts. the best of the sunshine likely to be across the eastern side of the uk. there's that band of rain approaching northern ireland, more especially the north—west of scotland later on in the day. ahead of that temperatures will be higher. it could make 1a degrees perhaps around the moray firth in that southerly wind. heading into the beginning of next week and that weather front bringing that rain in from the north—west is going to stumble its way towards england and wales. there may well be some heavy bursts of rain for a while and, with colder air in the north—west, the risk of some snow over the scottish mountains. ahead of that rain, as it pushes into england and wales, it should still be dry across east anglia, the south—east, maybe the midlands, as well, and temperatures here could reach 1a or even 15 celsius.
