that is very similar to ours. they have changed their national coach recently, they have young players, it is almost like we are looking in the mirror. we are a growing and developing team, we are developing in the sense of our teamwork and cohesion, and so are they, so i think it would be a very, very even match, played at a very high level. scotland's fans are in better heart today after the improvements made by scotland's team last night. the 1—1 draw against switzerland puts them a victory away from the knockout stage with their final group game against hungary to come on sunday. obviously it was an action—packed evening, and emotional eating, we felt we had to go out there and put a performance on. i think we did that. the fans last night were obviously incredible from the national anthem to the lap of honour at the end, i thought they were excellent and that was meant for us, they push us on and would be vital for us looking forward in this

tournament, and hopefully that would be a bit more after sunday. openly we can take this momentum now. it feels good, we felt we got a bit of justice last night in the performance, and hopefully we make the country a bit more proud and what they felt as well. after that evening in germany, so it's a lot to look forward to know, obviously it is in our hands going into that game and something to relish. this court has come into the tournament scene we would never have got out of the group before, so definitely this court is hungry to change that, and if we are to take the last game that it is into our hands to get the last three points, we probably take it. this court are well aware of that and we are determined to make history on sunday against hungary. chris mclaughlin is still in cologne. crestfallen after friday night, but an improvement in mood no doubt today?
6:38 pm
yes, absolutely. most of the tartan army have moved on here from cologne, there are still if you hang around the city before they head off to stuttgart, but you are right, what a change in mood. crestfallen is the word after that dismal display against germany on friday in munich, 5—1 to the hosts. it is going to be obviously very tough for them to beat hungary on sunday, but i think the scotland manager steve clark would have taken this before the tournament kicked off, one game left and it is in scotland was or hand. a much improved performance from scotland, lots of passion and fight and good passages of play. safe to say, not quite back to where they were in their qualifying campaign in terms of performance, but certainly so much better than that game against the germans in munich. * , ~ .

well, actually, yes, it is going to be warm. there will be some spells of sunshine, although it won't be all plain sailing, some rain at times in the west of the uk. in fact, on the earliest satellite picture you can see quite a lot of cloud gathering out in the atlantic. ahead of that, we've had some areas of high cloud in the sky turning today's sunshine quite hazy. but it does mean that many of us will see clear skies overnight, particularly across parts of england and wales. but for northern ireland, for scotland will see more cloud, outbreaks of rain, particularly in the northwest of scotland. temperatures, well, they will hold up, actually, where we have the cloud in the west, 12 degrees for glasgow, 13 for belfast, but a little bit cooler further east where we have the clear skies, but it will be across central and eastern parts where we have the best of the sunshine tomorrow morning. and so many central and eastern parts of england, the eastern side of scotland, to holding on to a little bit of sunshine. but for western england, for wales, for the western side of scotland and perhaps most especially northern ireland, we will see cloud, we'll see some showery rain at times. 17 degrees for plymouth, 18 for belfast and glasgow, but further east newcastle,
