national team, he had an unbelievable rookie season and hopefully he can translate that in the european game. he played when he was young, he played a lot with the national team so i think he is used to the european style, hopefully he can carry us all the way to the finals. george russell took the chequered flag at the belgian grand prix, but was disqualified two and a half hours later after his car was found to be underweight. his mercedes team—mate lewis hamilton was then given the win. russell had the perfect race with a brilliant one—stop strategy as he saw off hamilton to secure his second win of the season and mercedes* third in four races. russell's car was initially weighed at 798kg, exactly on the minimum weight limit but stewards found the car hadn't been fully drained of fuel and when it was, its weight was 1.5 kilograms under the limit so after george russell's disqualification all the other drivers move up a place. hamilton the winner, he's the only driver aside from max verstappen to have won more than one race this season.

zak crawley, hit the fastest test half—century by an englishman, offjust 2a balls. earlier mark wood took five wickets after lunch in the space ofjust 6 overs as windies were bowled out for 175. leaving england with that very meagre target to chase down inside three days. one of the most impressive things to take away from me as captain about how the team has responded to queries we have been put under pressure, because it has been more than a handful of times where the west indies have fought back in every test, i don't think we should get lost in this about where we were in the game, west indies got to 280 and we were 50—5 so to end up getting the lead of 90 to then be on day three with a win come i don't think we should underestimate this win whatsoever. i thought the boys were outstanding, it wasn't always one—way traffic and while the scoreline did 3—0 we were tested on numerous occasions.

really is in the far northwest of scotland. the cloud will break in other parts of scotland, but the best of the sunshine will be for england and wales. just a bit of patchy fair—weather cumulus. the winds will be light in england and wales. there will be some cooling sea breezes. there is a stronger breeze, though, blowing for scotland and northern ireland, where temperatures aren't changing much. it's still going to be warm for eastern scotland, but the heat is really concentrated on england and wales. inland temperatures in the southeast, 28 or 29 degrees. that weather front continues to weaken as it moves down into the high pressure overnight and into tuesday. just that sliver of cloud there. more sunshine to come for scotland and northern ireland on tuesday, the odd light shower in the far northwest. sunny skies on the whole for england and wales, a little bit hazy at times. and those temperatures continuing to rise, particularly towards the southeast of england, could make 31 or even 32 degrees here.

quite different temperatures for scotland and northern ireland, and you can see the temperature difference overnight tuesday night into wednesday morning — an uncomfortable night for sleeping in the southeast, particularly in london. there's more sunshine and generally dry weather to come on wednesday. signs of one or two showers breaking out, particularly towards the southwest of england. this could be the first signs of some change. but ahead of that, it's still going to be a hot day through the midlands and the southeast. temperatures, 29, 30 degrees quite possible once again. things are changing, though, wednesday and through the rest of the week in particular, its not going to be quite as warm. there's the chance of more cloud and some rain, which could be heavy and thundery. on wednesday night and through thursday, that moves its way northwards. and then after we start the week with high pressure, we're going to end the week with low pressure in the west.
