it does mean that here we're going to have periods of wet and windy weather, whereas high pressure is clinging on across parts of the south, so here it will be drier and warmer as we go through the week. this is the low pressure with its fronts bringing in some heavy rain initially across scotland and northern ireland, but it will continue to move into northern england and eventually wales as we go through the latter part of the day. some of this will be heavy and thundery. ahead of it, some sunny intervals and on the other side of it sunshine and a few showers. but wherever you are, it's going to be a blustery day with temperatures 16 to 26 degrees. through this evening and overnight the weather front bringing the rain continues, ao still some heavy, potentially thundery, rain for northern england, wales, the west midlands. largely dry ahead of it and behind it, but it's going to be a warm and a humid night more or less across the board. we start tomorrow with the weather front, which is weakening all the time, pushing into the south—east, taking any dregs of rain with it.
11:57 am
then a lot of dry weather, a fair bit of sunshine, but frequent showers across western scotland and also northern ireland. also a blustery day again. as we head on from tuesday into wednesday the low pressure starts to push across the north of the country. what you will find is this is where we will see some heavy rain, the rainfall totals really continuing to mount up. head further south and we are looking at something drier and brighter, but it's going to be windy, especially so across scotland, northern ireland and northern england. in that wind it will make it feel cooler than these temperatures suggest, but the temperatures are down a touch anyway. we're looking at 15 to about 23 celsius. as we head on from wednesday into thursday the first area of low pressure moves away, only to be replaced by another one bringing in more fronts. we start off on a dry note across eastern areas. the rain coming in from the west, pushing north—eastwards. the position of this could still change. it will be windy, especially
