come on, ed! this time round he was cheering them from a support vehicle as they raced past all his old rugby clubs, and arriving at the home of rugby close to midnight before heading back to gloucester. to see where he's at now is heartbreaking, really. but, yeah, you know... he never stops smiling. yeah, exactly. he is positive, he's got to, you know? i think, you know, that's part of what he's got to do. that's who he is as well. me and ed got up at five this morning to try and track them down and even then we were trying, "where are they now, where are they?" but we are so proud of them and it's been so amazing to see the support along the way. amazing, amazing feat. when have the tears hit? a moment ago, when i hugged billy, actually, to say thank you. and they are probably going to come again soon. so i best go! it wasjust awesome.

the risk of developing mnd is one in 300. six people are diagnosed every day, and six people will die every day. the rugby community is committed to making a difference. 24 hours of pain is nothing compared to people with a life of mnd, and we've got to make a change. it's got to change. jayne mccubbin, bbc news. still to come on today's programme... wildfires have been raging across europe — we'll find out how new heat—seeking drones could soon be the answer to tackling them. first, it's time to join our colleagues with the news where you are. do we know how his health is? it

putting extra pressure on the emergency services. if he had come in the days after the after the attack the emergency services had so much on with what was happening in southport, the visit of the king would have been too much to do with. he has waited until he has had time to come and had more time in the town to meet people but the king obviously very welcome here in southport. tomorrow, another meeting with the families of those three little girls killed in the attack. another meeting behind closed doors, incredibly private and you would imagine incredibly emotional. i you would imagine incredibly emotional.— you would imagine incredibly emotional. ., , , emotional. i am sure it will be. so much of the _ emotional. i am sure it will be. so much of the visit _ emotional. i am sure it will be. so much of the visit will _ emotional. i am sure it will be. so much of the visit will be _ emotional. i am sure it will be. so much of the visit will be private i much of the visit will be private and behind closed doors but, charlotte, what do we know of the response to what happened, did we have a statement from the king and queen camilla after the attacks? they were incredibly upset, worried by what had happened. we know the king had been asked to be kept informed of what was going on. he had spoken to police chiefs up and

secretary of state antony blinken has been having talks with egyptian president in cairo, pushing for a ceasefire and hostage roy still in gaza. i've been speaking to the former director—general of the foreign ministry of the route. this is what he said about the possibility of any kind of ceasefire deal going through. i think this really is the key issue. if isreal will agree and the war in gaza at this stage and i don't see netanyahu agreeing to it. between phase one and two there will be negotiations about
1:44 pm
it, i think you cannot get from a promise that the war is over in gaza from netanyahu, especially as long as there is a worry of netanyahu and many of his ministers is that if we stop the war now it will take months or years to recover and we will have this nightmare again and i think part of the israeli public is having these feelings, is afraid of an incumbent of hamas in a few years. it was expressed something many palestinians feel, i would like to have a response. i think what netanyahu wants is not just the continuation of this war of extermination,
1:45 pm
but also a new regional war. a horrible regional war, which could affect other countries in the region, and could even drag the united states into a horrible war again and affect the population of the middle east. this is what netanyahu wants. it's his dream — trying to push the united states to be in a war with iran. that has been his dream for decades. what is your view about those words on the intentions of netanyahu? i don't think that netanyahu has such a dream but i think he has a dream that there will never be a palestinian state and this is his promise to the israeli voters and he sees the international situation in which there is growing support for two states, more recognition of the state of palestine, it worries him very much. i think israel itself is more vulnerable than we were
1:46 pm
before this war. an overall regional war is extremely dangerous to the future of israel and i do not think netanyahu wants to take such a risk. still to come, to edinburgh. at edinburgh fringe speaking to some of the performers, and some moments, you will hearfrom the performers, and some moments, you will hear from a couple of grounds. —— a couple of clones.
