it is always important, we are here winning at least four medals but we are part of the incredible global movement, the paralympic movement which on and off the field want disabled people to be realised in society. those performances on the field can only help us in that cause. the 2021 us open champion, emma raducanu, is out of this years tournament, losing herfirst round match to sofia kenin. she lost the first set, 6—1 but fought back well to win the second 6—3. but kenin, herself a former grand slam winner, came through to take the deciding set 6—4. she plays fellow american and sixth seed jessica pegula tomorrow. world number one, jannik sinner, came from a set down to beat american mackenzie mcdonald to book his place in the second round. while four—time grand slam champion, carlos alcaraz, also dropped a set in his victory over australian qualifier li tu. he won the first, 6—2, but lost a scrappy second set,

6—4, before regrouping to win the next two. england and sri lanka are making theirfinal preparations before the second test at lord's tomorrow. england beat the visitors by five wickets in the first test at old trafford last week, chasing down a fourth innings target of 205. england captian ollie pope says he's expecting another challenging game from sri lanka who impressed with their tenacity in manchester. for the guys to put together some good scores, and set us a chase from a hundred deficit is a credit to them. but i think we can hopefully keep getting better and i'm sure they'll be confident and they will feel strongly. if we can play our best cricket we can come out on the rights and the result. we have to be — the rights and the result. we have to be accurate when executing our plans either batting _ executing our plans either batting or bowling. we have to bring _ batting or bowling. we have to bring our — batting or bowling. we have to bring our a batting or bowling. we have to bring oura game batting or bowling. we have to bring our a game into the first innings— bring our a game into the first innings and that is the point we missed in the first match in

manchester. we have ended better— manchester. we have ended better in_ manchester. we have ended better in the first innings while _ better in the first innings while batting and bowling and we have — while batting and bowling and we have to bring it into the first — we have to bring it into the first innings here. liverpool are close to agreeing a deal to sign juventus winger federico chiesa. though a deal is yet to be finalised, the reds hope to agree a fee in the region of 13 million euros for the italy international. speaking to italian network sportitalia outside an airport on wednesday, chiesa told reporters he was "ready for this new adventure". meanwhile, his italy team—mate, newcastle midfielder, sandro tonali, returns from his betting ban later. newcastle paid more than £50 million for him last summer, but he only played eight games before he was sanctioned for placing bets on matches. after ten months without playing a competitive game, tonali is back in the squad for their game at nottingham forest in the second round of the carabao cup. he's thanked the fans for their support while he's been out of the game, the microscope is on everybody. and it will be on him for a

period of time, i think he understands that. i think it is small steps, for us, wejust expect him to be himself and play his game. he is a very intelligent footballer, a good technician. he has to play to his strengths and not try to do anything out of the ordinary. that will be hugely effective for us. and that's all the sport for now. in south korea, a large number of online chatrooms have been found to be sharing sexually explicit deepfake images of women. in an emergency meeting, south korean authorities called on telegram and other platforms to work with them to delete and block this type of content. the images — which are generated using articifial intelligence — combine the face of a real person with a fake body. it comes as the founder of telegram, pavel durov, was arrested as he landed in paris over the weekend. he's being held as part of a french probe into child

abuse images, drug trafficking and fraud on the messaging app. for more on this, i've been speaking tojennifer moon, a journalist based in seoul. she told me more about the problem. now that in the wake of local media reports that sexually explicit deepfake images and videos of south korean women, especially that of underage girls atjunior high schools and universities, were often found in telegram chat rooms. now, one telegram chatroom had a user of 227,000 people. that's sparking public outrage here in korea. of course, as you know, south korea has one of the fastest average internet speeds. and with that, according to activists, it also has an acute epidemic of digital sex crimes, including revenge porn and the use of spy cameras with inadequate legislation to punish offenders. and this time around, it's deepfake, a digital sex crime.

the victims are usually female and include school students as well as women in uniform in this country. rrecently there's been a deepfake abuse rapidly escalating in schools nationwide. but what's more concerning here is the fact that the creators, a large number of offenders, are also believed to be minors, according to authorities. nfl stars travis and jason kelce have signed a lucrative podcast deal with amazon, reportedly worth one hundred million dollars. the three—year deal gives the company's wondery audio network exclusive multimedia rights to the brothers* new heights podcast. the super bowl champions discuss football and share personal stories on the podcast, along with hosting celebrity interviews. the weekly series is one of the most popular podcasts on both the apple and spotify

charts, particularly since travis kelce began his relationship with pop superstar, taylor swift. james cridland is the editor of podnews, he told me more about the deal and the so—called *taylor swift* effect on the podcast*s viewing figures. it*s actually it*s the third biggest deal so far this year in terms of the podcasting world. call her daddy slightly more, slightly more money. and joe rogan, who resigned with spotify for $250 million. but even so, $100 million is a pretty big sum of money. you*re right. and how much of that is down to the taylor swift factor, do you think? 0h, there*s no doubt about the taylor swift effect. we covered a story, actually, at the end of last year from a company called edison research, and they said that once the relationship became public, the audience got four and a half times larger and the audience changed from being 68% male
2:52 pm
to 50% female. so very clearly, taylor swift has had an impact on it. and in fact, the show won a podcast of the year award earlier on this year, specifically because the kelce brothers had asked taylor swift fans to go and vote for it and released, you know, a thank you, thanking them for that so very much. you know, taylor swift has had a big effect. the editor of pod news. as a dog owner, you might feel a sense of pride in getting your pet to sit on command, maybe even a bit smug if you can teach them something more advanced like rolling over. well, jason smawfield—huby and his dog, hope, have taken their training to the next level and won gold at the dog agility world championships in belgium. 0ur reporter, simon spark, has been to meet them. injune, we saw the preparation. good girl. representing team gb for dog agility in the first

ever senior competition held in belgium. it*s the first time a competition has been run internationally, specifically for the over 55s and over 65s. jason was in the over 55s category, and hope was in the fluffy, cute small doggy category, with some serious obedience and serious speed needed. but then, the practising was over. run! i walked into the building. it was absolutely huge. never run my dog in front of so many people before, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. but, on the start line, you forget about everything else, and it*sjust you and your dog. she was clear in every round, in all four rounds. her worst placing was a third. so, we had a number of silvers and a couple of bronzes. come on! but if hope hoped for a win... stop, stop, stop, stop, stop!
2:54 pm
yes! come on. ..she got one. come on! yes! i didn*t know i*d won the title. i came out, i knew i*d got a clear round, but the noise from, say, my friends on the balcony was absolutely incredible. and i still didn*t believe it. i don*t cry a lot, but i was absolutely bawling my eyes out. especially when two people came to congratulate me and cuddle me. so now it*s our turn to see this gold medal performance close up. whee, whee, whee, whee, whee, whee! you*re looking at the first ever gold winners of the over 55s title of the senior open agility world championships. there*s no other dog agility trainer in the world that can boast that category of win. and no other dog quite like hope. yes! super girl!

coming in from the north sea, at times with an onshore breeze, and temperatures 1a to about 2k degrees, so those temperatures slowly starting to come up. then into the weekend. high pressure still firmly in charge of our weather. this weather front here could bring some showers into southern england later on sunday and overnight into monday. but on saturday, first of all, still a lot of dry weather around. fair bit of sunshine. some cloud at times coming in from the north sea and up from france. that may well affect the temperatures. looking at 22 degrees as our top temperature in london, 21 in glasgow, and then as we head into the outlook period, for sunday, starting with some mist and fog as well. it*s later on sunday we could see some showers coming in, but a lot of settled weather too, with a few showers as we head through the new working week.
