generation of late night tonight. culturally the show hit its peak under stewart. clips from his time behind the desk still go viral to this day like when he mocked the hangier reaction that came with trying to talk about israel and palestine. in 2010 the rally to restore sanity and/or fear in washington showed how he had crossed from comedy to also real world influence with young voters. the show has been using a series of fill-in hosts since trevor noah left as the permanent host and at the same time stewart's show on apple tv ended last year. we're told he is set to return in 2 1/2 weeks, but only on mondays. the other days he's going to work with a rotating cast of comedians as host and also executive produce the show. that is a moment of zen for many of his biggest fans here tonight. thank you so much for joining us tonight. king charles starts right now. ♪ >> hi, you know what i was

it was going to be. i am absolutely over the moon for what is going on right now for our detroit lions. we have this young team that is so talented and so resilient, much like our city, i'm kind of in a dream state. >> key, i just got to say this, number one, i'm a tremendous fan of yours for all your success, number one, continued success. i can't believe i'm talking to you about the detroit lions out of all the questions i want to ask. >> you can ask. maybe i can come on the show another time and you can ask all those other questions after we win the super bowl. >> i fell in love with the detroit lions. i have a man crush on dan campbell. i know nothing about dan campbell, but i'm like i play football one day. i want to play for dan
