wouldn't be having this conversation speaking to us from his podcast studio williams senior said his son is no gangster or crime boss, shock collar involved in a street war as alleged by investigators. he insist his sons only wrongdoing was hanging with the wrong crowd. is there any merit to this indictment? was there ever a war going on between young thug and wiifm lucy, were you ever targeted was your safety ever at risk? >> i run by myself every day i go to i go to every part the town every day i can go in awareness, sit in by myself every day, young thugs trial is already the longest in georgia history. the jury selection process alone took nearly ten months. the rico case has been unwieldy featuring no shortage of bizarre moments. a codefendant in an accused of a hand-to-hand drug exchange in the courtroom another co-defendants stabbed multiple times inside the county jail, and earlier this month, a secret meeting with the

prosecutors, the judge, and a key witness without any of the defense attorneys. that's attorney-client privilege, which led to the case being paused indefinitely. motions are heard on the judge's possible recusal. the president of the georgia association of criminal defense lawyer says the meeting itself is grounds for a mistrial. ashley merchan represents young thugs. attorney brian still in the matter has gone off the tracks. is there's too many charges. there's too many defendants being charged. there's too many witnesses being called and obviously the state has a right to prove their case, but they also have to ensure that there's due process. >> the case has dragged on for months that's a major concern to some defense attorneys who spoke to cnn who wonder if da willis is miss applying the rico statute. fulton county district attorney's office told cnn they can't comment on the case at this it's time, but former fulton county prosecutor, tanya miller says casting a wide net with a rico charge was the right move. >> it allows you to get at crimes that perhaps were

committed in the past, even if someone has already been convicted of murder, extortion there alleging that they all happened at the behest of your son my son, not a convicted felon. and as any loving father would, he hopes for his son's case. it stays that way. with the global popularity of young thug, millions of people have watched this clays closely, hundreds of thousands of whom tune in live online to watch it when the case is in session. the bottom line here is that fulton county da fani willis may have another problem on our hands. her case against donald trump is stalled and now this one, fred, is two fredricka. >> all right. nick valencia. thank you so much. a new our of the cnn news central starts right now unscripted events and an aggressive travel schedule. those are the pillars of the biden campaign's new plan to save his reelection bid. as he

struggles to reassure voters and donors that he is fit for a second term. the top brass of the world group that oversees swimming competitions. ordered to testify in a us criminal well investigation. those investigators want to know why 23 chinese swimmers failed doping tests. but we're still allowed to compete and win medals at the tokyo olympics. and a shark scare at a texas beach, at least three people injured. now authorities are trying to figure out how to keep swimmer safe. water. i'm fredricka whitfield with erica hill, john, kate, and sarah are off today. and this is cnn news central well. this is a crucial day for president joe biden for the camp payne. he's team really putting a lot of eggs in this basket with an interview, of course, that is coming up
6:04 am
later today, you will be making couple of campaign stops as well. is it enough to quiet some of the concern out there? a new memo also from the white house laying out what he calls an aggressive july schedule for biden, kicking things off today, as i noted with that rally in the key battleground state of wisconsin. and who also sit down then this afternoon for an interview one-on-one with abc's george stephanopoulos. it is, of course, his first tv interview since the debate. and it will air later tonight. donald trump now pushing though for round two of a debate, calling for a second match with biden he said should be no holds barred, seen as priscilla alvarez is live at the white house this morning with the very latest, i would imagine the white house, the campaign, not responding to that invitation at this point. what would they have said that president biden will campaign? again in september? that was what they had said shortly after the cnn debate last week. but look, this is a make or break moment for president
6:05 am
biden. this is a high-stakes interview that he's going to go into later today. but also important campaign stops in the battleground states of wisconsin and pennsylvania. now allies over the last week have said that they wanted to see more unscripted moments from president joe biden also seeing him engage with voters to try to underscore that vigor and aggressiveness that they are told it happens behind in closed doors and that they have also seen at other rallies. and so in some ways, the campaign memo laying out july as a we hear you from the campaign with this quote, aggressive travel schedule, what that includes is president biden, vice president kamala harris, and the first lady and second gentleman collectively going to every battleground ground state that also includes the president going to nevada where he will speak at two conferences targeting black and latino voters. and it also includes a $50,000,000 paid media blitz. so some conventional methods being used here as well. now, the president was seen here at
6:06 am
the white house yesterday during the july 4 celebrations, where he also spoke to military families and in a candid moment when someone yelled in the crowd, we need you. he said he's not going anywhere. also, notable that when he was watching the fireworks with his family, he was also joined by vice president kamala harris, who has not been on that balcony before for fireworks over the course of this administration, often taking part in other july 4 events. so clearly, a show of unity at a time when there have been so many questions about the biden campaign and its trajectory over the course. of this presidential race. so the next few days are really going to be used to try to shift the narrative after a very challenging stretch here where they have tried multiple times to reassure allies these next few days, are an opportunity for them to do that. erica it's really priscilla. appreciate it. thank you. fred all right. thanks so much. all right. joining me right now to talk further about all this democratic strategist, keith blinken, and cnn political commentator and republican
6:07 am
strategist at christian solace anders anderson hello to both of you are a christian. you first so so much is riding on president biden biden's abc interview, which errors and primetime tonight. what does america need to see after his fourth of july appearance saying, i'm not going anywhere american needs to see a president who is clearly in command, clearly has all of his faculties and has the endurance and stamina not just to get through november, but to get through another 4.5 years. >> and the bar is now extremely high for that, you had a number of white house staffers, good i'm sort of on background no, not for attribution quotes where they say things like, well, the president works now, he's really lucid from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or he really needs to be embed by 8:00 p.m. and that's just not what americans expect from a president. so they need to see in this interview tonight that he is not what they either saw on the debate stage on thursday or the picture that is now
6:08 am
being painted in interviews on background by the media the kth last hour democratic donor and marty dolan had this to say, listen i think give you put everything else aside. the simple question that the democratic leadership has to ask is, are we nominating somebody that has the confidence of the party and the country to do the job for another four-and-a-half years i think when you ask the question that way, it sort of leads you to the answer. i don't believe biden has the confidence of the party and the country that he can leave, that he can lead the country for another four-and-a-half years so keith, how resonating and messages this sending that donors are joining a chorus, including at least two democratic lawmakers who say biden should step aside. well, i think that people are getting this thing blown out of proportion. biden had a very bad debate
6:09 am
performance. nobody can deny that. but the point is that he is the best candidate at the moment that i can tell who can beat down trump. i mean, perhaps kamala harris could do it, but according, to one or two poles, but to have the democrats at this late stage in the game disrupt the process and bring in a new candidate and an uncertain environment is not a very risky thing for the democrats to do, especially given the power of incumbency. i contrast with republicans and i'm not saying a democrat to do do the same thing, but donald trump was impeached once and republicans tick box took stuck by him. he was impeached a second time republican stuck by him. he was indicted or republican stuck by using guided a second, third, and fourth time republicans continue to stick by him. he was convicted of 34 felonies in criminal court, and republicans continue to stay joe biden, democrat and well, that's not the point i'm making yeah.
6:10 am
>> when i'm not saying that democrats, they did fall exactly what the republicans doing, but democrats need to have a little bit is fine and think about this more logically and not just emotionally, logically. it doesn't make a lot of sense to replace an incumbent president with a risky alternative when incumbent presence almost always when. and so i think it's a risky move that has consequences. i'll take whoever the democrats nominate over, over, over donald trump because he is the real threat so christian, the white house, says biden will embark on this aggressive campaign scheduled to help him hey more spontaneous in interact with people. but biden also said that he'll try to get more sleep and have fewer after 8:00 p.m. engagements. so how do you see this formula working? >> there is no strategy at this point that isn't risky for democrats. it is risky. of course, to change course. but in some ways i feel like this is a real vote of no confidence in the vice president that given that the president seems like he really does not have the ability to serve for
6:11 am
another 4.5 years with the kind of vigor stamina that we really need an a commander in chief the vice president is a heartbeat away. and the fact that there is such a reluctance to do what to me seems very obvious to hand over the reigns. it doesn't need to be a messy process. it to say since she's going to be it's gonna be hitting battleground states as well. i mean simultaneous to the president that is now because the way round sorry, go ahead. well, yes. she's in a very tough position right now because of course she would be the logical next person and she does need to be loyal to the person who picked her on the ticket. but right now, there is no no risk strategy for democrats. they are in a tough position where there's no great plan b for them. but their plan hey, if sticking with joe biden when it seems very clear that there may not be the ability to give the kind of campaign performance necessary to beat donald trump. he's now trailing donald trump by 456 points in polls, not just nationally, but in battleground states there are in trouble if they stick with joe biden than or trouble if
6:12 am
they don't, democrats are in a very hard position. right now and they may just need to rip the band-aid off and do the hard thing now, before you get closer to november, if they want to have any chance at beating donald trump all right. >> go case i think that's a mischaracterization of the race. >> i remember years ago in hillary clinton was running. she was behind in the polls around this point, people were questioning her ability this whole thing about looking at polls, this several months out before an election is ridiculous. if the election were held today, yes. joe biden might not do so well, but you know what the election is not held today and once you get the fall campaign going and people have a chance to actually go in the voting booth and look at the candidates. i'm convinced that more people will come back to the democratic probe plus democrats have won the popular vote in seven of the last eight presidential elections clearly are, clearly republican party brand is unpopular, and donald trump himself is incredibly unpopular. he is a convicted criminal who will be sentenced in september if he doesn't find another way to delay that. and the idea that the american
6:13 am
people would go to the polls, the ballot box, not luck. convicted criminal two months after he is sentenced, is the risk that needs to be the point, not about joe biden's bad debate. it's about electing a twice-impeached quadruple indicted, convicted criminal to the highest office in the land. that's the real risk for america all right. still fire it up one day after fourth of july or cave waken kristen, so salt is anderson thanks so much to both v. appreciate erica. hurricane beryl right now is slamming mexico. this of course, after leaving a trail of direction and killing it nice nine people across the caribbean, very latest on that swarm as it makes its way toward us, plus sharks terrorizing the beach in south padre ireland in texas. what we know about three bytes into very close calls sunday dr. sanjay gupta reports on hold for the devastating effects of alzheimer's reversing, something that seems

6:19 am
it's overland. but it's still capable of storm surge up to four to six feet. we're looking at four to six inches of rain as well, up to ten inches possible. and that could cause some flooding tonight, it gets back into the gulf of mexico where it will be over warm water so it can get its act together again reorganize a little bit before it heads towards texas as we get into sunday, that turned to the north with an area of high pressure weakening will give you some hurricane conditions possible on the texas coast as we get towards the weekend, either way, we're looking at some rip current conditions through the holiday week began friday. >> oh, my goodness. and then of course, there's the west coast of the u.s that's a big concern because of this very persistent heat yeah, a lot of these warnings here go through it next week, i'm talking like 30 of next week because we're looking at multiple days of temperatures, well over 100 degrees for places like stanford just go los angeles, portland, and seattle. >> the weather service office in san francisco has been using
6:20 am
really strong wording, calling this heat wave possibly lethal and dangerous because it just lasts so long. look at these temperatures in 114 degrees in bakersfield on sunday, 119 and palm springs, 111 in fresno, sacramento hundred and ten degrees, las vegas could break. they're all-time hottest temperature on record by sunday at 217 degrees. so just incredible record-breaking heat, more than 500 records could fall over the next couple of days, both daytime highs and overnight lows because we just don't get that relief at night, which just adds insult to injury where we're talking he'd sickness and safety temperatures up in the triple digits even from metaphoric oregon, some records in jeopardy there, portland as well, 140 degrees by tuesday. this is a part of the country that just not used to this, or they don't have as much, they're not they don't have as much access to air conditioning so some extreme conditions when it comes to that heat risk, fred that's incredible. all right. lisa
6:21 am
rafah. thank you so much, erica. well, at least for shark it and incidents rather in texas, have beachgoers on edge this holiday weekend and it's thought to be the same shark. you see this video here behind me that's the shark that authorities believe is responsible for each of these instances are 30, say, two people were bitten in the waters off of south padre island on july 4th, a third beach gore was injured, though not bitten. a fourth said they felt a sharp brush against the meantime, in florida, a shark did by a man on the foot while he was in knee deep water, the 21-year-old was ultimately taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries for a little bit more on these incidents specifically, what's happening in texas, cnn sorts of flores is with us now from houston. so in terms of these incidents i'd south padre island, what more do we know at this hour, rosa? well, erika, we've been learning more about those intense moments when these beachgoers are afraid of the shark and law enforcement is trying to do everything they can to save lives and to keep
6:22 am
that shark away. >> let me start with the heroic acts by us border patrol. take a look at these photos because according to a cbp official, there happened to be members of the elite bore star unit. now, this is a unit that rescues people for a living and they just happened to be at the right place, at the right time and they jumped into action according to the cbp official, they ran into the water pulled a victim out of the water and started rendering immediate medical aid. now, according to this official, they applied a tourniquet and if you know anything about first response, if somebody needs a tourniquet, they could bleed out in the matter of minutes. now, i talked to the city of south padre island. they said that there are no fatalities. i don't know the specific condition of this individual, but according to them, there's no fatalities. now, the response was not just by land, it was also by air. take a look at this video that we obtained by the texas department of public safety, and this is from lieutenant crystal uveitis. you can see the actual shark. how do they know that this is the
6:23 am
shark will, according to the lieutenant? the helicopter pilot was flying very low on south padre island trying to keep that shark away from people. so these were maneuvers that the pilot was doing to make sure that that shark didn't come back closer to shore or humans. were. now, according to olivares, the texas dps stayed there until well, there was no threat. now, just imagine being one of those beachgoers and take a look at these photos that we obtained from social media because there was a family there, a mother from arlington, texas. this isn't the rio grande valley. she says that her two daughters were in the water when the shark was in there and all of a sudden she's she heard her daughter screaming. they started running out of the water. one of her daughters had blood on her leg. that's the 18-year-old that you see with a gauze. both of them are okay. according to the mother. and then there was another incident another man also was in the water. they two men were actually swimming and the mother-in-law of the man says that he just saw his son-in-law
6:24 am
go under. take a listen i turned around. >> he wasn't there anymore assuming clergy and any jumped up out of the water saying char, char chart when adrenalin kicked in, i went i read after him. >> now, erica, according to officials, there were at least foreign counters, at least two individuals were taken to the hospital. we don't know their conditions, of course. but again, according to south padre island city officials there are no fatalities and that's a good news here. yeah, that is definitely the goodness, whereas i appreciate the reporting. thank you. fred car pretty frightening stuff, erica. alright. so the u.s. has now launched a criminal investigation into possible doping the chinese swim team, just weeks before some of the athletes are set to compete in the paris olympic games. and cnn's dr. sanjay gupta shares what he learned from a five-year investigation about how to treat and prevent alzheimer's i love milwaukee

and see how much you can save the athletes in awe or pushing the limits of what is capable ready to show the world how good i've trained all over the globe. and that's what you're going to see an aw, whole, whole different bst we wednesday night, dynamite at 8:00 tbs with just three weeks until the paris olympics. the u.s. has now launched a criminal investigation looking into doping allegations involving nearly two dozen chinese swimmers where's 11 of them are scheduled to compete in the upcoming paris games. some were allowed to compete in the tokyo olympics in 2021. and actually one metals, the pressure has been building following a congressional
6:30 am
hearing which included olympic swimmer michael phelps morning that doping issues threatened the olympics future sure. cnn's andy scholes has been following all the developments and he's joining us now, andy, a i mean, what was what were the swimmer is being tested for? >> well. fredricka you mentioned china had 23 swimmers test positive for a banned substance ahead of the 2021 tokyo games, but nothing was ever done about done about that was because chinese authorities, they said that all of those swimmers had eaten contaminated food at a hotel. and essentially the world anti-doping agency said, you oh, okay. yeah. sounds good. go ahead and compete. or that didn't sit well with many including legendary swimmer michael phelps, as you mentioned here, he recently testified at that congressional hearing saying that athletes and water need to be held more accountable. so now the top administrator of world aquatics, he has been painted to answer questions about how all that went down with those
6:31 am
chinese swimmers. this comes after a house committee on china on may 21 asked the justice department and the fbi to investigate the case under a federal law that allows probes into suspected doping conspiracies even if they occur outside of the u.s. now, 11 of those chinese swimmers are set to compete in paris in three weeks. they won three gold medals in tokyo. so the spotlight will certainly be on them whenever they step in to the pool. but frederica none of this is going to be settled before the paris games. the hope is that through investigations that the competition's can be cleaned up as the u.s. is set to host the summer games come 2028. >> yeah, one more thing to look for her during the paris olympic games. andy shells. thank you so much. erica. this week the fda approved a new medication that may help some of the nearly 1 million americans affected by early stage alzheimer's for decades, doctors and researchers have been trying to come up with ways to treat the condition seen as chief medical correspondent, dr. sanjay gupta has spent the last five years
6:32 am
investigating the breakthroughs and putting them all together in a documentary, the light as all timers patient, which airs this sunday. here's a preview it was probably only maybe three or four months in to the study that i realized mike wasn't asking repetitive questions the way he had been and those stopped and those have kind of stayed away you're a meat and potatoes kind of guy. >> yeah. they're asking you to do a vegan diet? yep i'm from kansas city. there's me there how hard was that for you? >> it was pretty difficult to start with. >> then i just had to turn around and say this is the best i can do to stay alive and i
6:33 am
want to live with my wife as long as i can and sanjay joins me now, sanjay, one of a number of incredible stories. >> i'm so talk to me more about this study. and what was learned from well, you know, for a lot of people, erica who received the diagnosis of alzheimer's and mike received the early onset alzheimer's diagnosis in his mid 60s they're often told them, look, there's nothing you can really do about this. >> people are told to often plan their affairs and things like that. i think what this study showed us was that in a percentage of people, not everybody, but in the percentage of people like mike. you can slow down, stall and maybe even reverse the diagnosis of alzheimer's and then cognitive impairment that comes along with it. so it's pretty incredible. and that was true lifestyle changes alone, 40% of cases of alzheimer's dementia are probably preventable according to these
6:34 am
larger studies now and that's not something we could have said even just a few years ago so basically again, lifestyle changes are pretty intensive if depending on your perspective as mike was sort of alluding to, but it does involve things like a vegan diet, 30 minutes of daily exercise, three times a week of strength training our day of stress relief, hourly online support sessions, things like that, which are demanding time-wise, but also very doable i think what the study showed us is that again, in some people you could reverse these symptoms and it can happen quickly. it was really within 20 weeks that you saw big change in mike and he noticed that his wife notice that he's a changed man. >> it is amazing to me to sanjay zero point out that this is just with lifestyle changes. i mean, that's really remarkable and that it does happen so quickly. i also want to ask you about the fda just this week approving a new drug for early all time timers. how promising are drugs like that well, they're promising in the
6:35 am
sense that for a long time there were really no new medications than over the last couple of years, you've seen these new fda approvals on a few, but let me give you a little bit of context in terms of what we're talking about here. >> these, these drugs, by the way, if they end with the word mab, that's monoclonal antibody, these are medications that require infusions and did not mab, which is the medication you're talking about that had a slowing of cognitive decline by about 29% when it came to patients in the trial. so it's not a home run. but again, for many of these patients, they've been told there's really nothing you can do. so 29% could be significant. now there were side effects with these medications and that's always the balance. but there's something that is known as amyloid-related imaging abnormalities. aria these small bleeds that typically happen in the brain and they saw that happening definitively more in the patients who received this medication versus the placebo. so i'm giving you a sense, erica, the sort of decision
6:36 am
matrix that the physicians and the patients more importantly, have to sort of go through. and also these are just wildly expensive drugs yeah. i mean, it's it's kinda mind numbing to think about if many of these patients end up on these medications, how much that will cost? about $26,000, 500 for a another approved medication, the kim b and 32,000 for not a mab orca. some law as it, as it is called so, you know, it's, it's it's hopeful that you're seeing these new medications. but frankly, again, when you look at the lifestyle changes, not going to work for everybody, but when to work for somebody like my carver. as you just saw in that clip, i think that also provides a signal and if i can't amount of hope for people, yeah, it does. and well, it may seem like a lot as you put that list up there, i think most people would look at it and say, this is fairly manageable. and to your point, worth a shot, dr. sanjay gupta, always great to see you, my friend. thank you be sure to tune in to see sanjay special. the last alzheimer's patient

6:42 am
election, former conservative leader or rishi sunak's step down and laborers keir starmer became britain's newest prime minister. cnn's nic robertson is live outside ten downing street. the prime minister's residence. so nick, we heard starmer speak just a short time ago. what was his message as the new prime minister? >> his promise a lot well, has been campaigning and is still talking about that, about improving the economy, about working on the health care system to make it better for people improving crime and justice, trying to build more jobs in the green energy sector. but i think what we heard from him today was really laying the framework of the party that he wants to bring to power one that will engage with the public. and win back the confidence of the public. remembering that the turnout in this election, 59 59.9% in the last century, there's only ever been one turnout that's been slightly lower than that. so actually a low turnout, not a
6:43 am
lot of enthusiasm necessarily for his party. the conservatives clearly lost massively. he did get a huge majority that will certainly help him deliver on all the all the campaign issues or get him started on the middle east. he did in a way, set expectations by telling people not to expect it all at once for this building back, will take time, but he made it very, very clear that this his government will be a government for everyone in this class country whether you voted labor or not in fact especially if you didn't i. >> say to you directly my government will serve you politics can be a force for good we will show that we've changed the labour party returned it to service. and
6:44 am
that is how we will govern building faith of the public in politics. that's really what he feels has been missing in the country. but of course the nuts and bolts of doing that begin now he has to appoint cabinet members, has got a very strong shadow cabinet is expected a lot of them will fill the primary roles here. the chance with thanks, checker will move into number 11 finance minister, if you will rachel reeves has been the shadow chancellor of the exchequer an if she gets appointed as is expected, shubi, the first-person in the first female in the uk to take that job. she had her training and roots at the bank of england. and in terms of the business sector, here is widely respected as somebody very competent in that role. and that's exactly what style mob wants to deliver competency across all departments and more

>> and this is cnn knew this morning a fresh data shows us job growth cool that last month, but the labor market is still strong, adding 206,000 jobs in june. >> that's a little bit better than what was expected. unemployment though, also ticking up just a bit too, 4.1 on percent. that is the highest since november of 2021 economists the federal reserve, the white house, certainly watching the jobs market very closely. joining me now, acting labor secretary, julie su, madam secretary. good to have you with us this morning. so as i noted a little bit better than expectation in terms of jobs 206,000 added unemployment though ticking up a little bit as well. how are you feeling about the report that's right. >> we feel great about it. this is another solid jobs report showing that jobs continue you to grow under president biden's leadership. this is now nearly 16 million jobs created since the president came into office. as you noted, the unemployment rate remains at a history doric low. so prior to last month, it was at
6:51 am
or below 4% for the longest stretch since neil armstrong stepped foot on the moon, it's ticked up slightly now but it remains historically low and labor force participation rate, especially for prime age workers, has ticked up a bit and real wages for workers continues to exceed the rate of inflation. and that is fundamental to the presence vision that when we invest in america's workers, america is stronger in terms of america's workers in terms americans full stop the issue as i'm sure you know, is it americans are not feeling this necessarily despite the rosy picture that you're painting. why is that i think that even some of those workers sentiment surveys are changing. >> but one of the things that we have to make sure that we do and that we are doing this administration is to drown out the noise and focus on the work. we have a strategy the president has been clear about that from day one, invest in america, fix roads and bridges, make sure that every family two turns on the phosphate gets
6:52 am
clean drinking water. make sure every community has access to high-speed, reliable internet. all of those require work. there also reversing decades of disinvestment and underinvestment in america's communities and in america's workers, the changes will not be done overnight, but we are making significant progress. we're on the right track and we need to continue doing the work. and when i traveled the country, i've got a good job summer tour, going across all communities to talk about the importance of good jobs i see he that working people and working families are feeling that bit of breathing room. they're seeing opportunity in their community. they didn't have before. those are all fundamental to what we are trying to do to make life better for america because workers, as we know, there's so much talk about housing and the housing issue and the expense, the cost of housing, whether it's rental or buying and that tends to bring a focus on the fed and what may or may not happen at the september meeting. the fifth wasn't expecting unemployment as i understand it, to go above 4% until next year. so that coupled with this report which
6:53 am
shows a little strong in terms of jobs added, but still shows a little bit of cooling. do you think that these combined could be leading us perhaps to a rate cut? >> i mean, we don't speak about fed policy, but remember, most people said that the unemployment rate would not get blood hello, 4% for a long time. and instead, again since 2021, when the president came into office, the unemployment rate has gone down from remember where it was? in july, this exact de and 2020, it was nearly 12 12%. and people were being told stay home for july 4th, they away from other people and we're in a very different moment right now. and it did not happen by accident. it did not happen it was not inevitable. it happened because this present had a national strategy that did not exist in 2020. and we are continuing to put that strategy into place. before i let you go, speaking of the president, i'm curious when you're last interaction
6:54 am
was with president biden and whether you have noticed in that last interaction or the last couple of months, any evidence of koblin cognitive decline or any concerns about his mental fitness i, see no evidence of that. i'm not concerned your question, but what i'm concerned about, i'm concerned about the same things, the presence concerned about i want to make sure that workers get a fair shake i want to help him to combat the massive gap between ceo pay in frontline worker pay, world worker has to work for years to make what the ceo makes in a week, we're concerned about retirement. so dirty, forgiving student loan debt. so people can look forward to their futures with hope, making sure that we bring down the cost of prescription drugs. those are things that concern us. those but things were working on and we have a strategy for to do it. this is president biden's vision for this country that we are putting into place. we know we have more work to do and we're laser-focused it's done, it acting labor secretary, julie su appreciate your time this morning. >> thank you all right.
