for years conservatives have been gunningce to impeach mayors as the border has become the number onech issue for the republican party. democrats stonewalled and insisted that republicans had failed to provide evidence of the constitutional standardin of high crimes and misdemeanors. the articles passed out of committee along party lines. let's take a look at what congressman mark green said, he's the chair of the homeland security committee, and he openedse yesterday's meeting arguing that secretary mayorkas hasn'' lived up to his oath of >> this is not about policy differences at all. we certainly object to success secretary -- secretary mayorkas' policies, but this goes far deeper. according to the committee investigating iran contra, quote, government officials must observe the law even when they disagree with it, end quote. or when they think that, quote, congress is to blame for passing laws that run counter to administration policy, end quote. the case we're dealing with

it's always great to follow a democrat call because it makes it so easy to set incredibly intelligent. couple things. i support thehe mayorkas impeachment because failure to enforce the law is breaking the law. that's what people don't understand. the legislative branch past immigration laws. when the executive branch fails to enforce those laws and puts the american people in danger, that is an impeachable offense. as far as the border goes now, real quick and no, i were public itck cut off because you are not allowed to tell the truth on c-span, this lie that you just heard for the series of lies that you just heard and you will hear from democratic callers is, number one, the breaking up with families at the border. listen to what the last caller said. they still haven't found the pants for a lot of those children that were taken away from adults at thead border.

president. i'm an old marine. i supported him. that's working for me. my loyalty is to the united states, not a party, got it, john. let's take a look at what constitutional lawyer jonathan turley said about this topic. he said this, secretary of homeland security alejandro mayorkas has been denounced as dishonest, felicitous, and derelict by his critics. in my view, all of these things are manifestly true. it is also true in my opinion that none of these things account to high crimes and misdemeanors warranting his impeachment. moreover, being bad at your job is not an impeachable offense. even really bad. even his level of bad. if that were the case he would be only the latest in a long line of cabinet officers from marched into congress for constitutional termination. and that is a conservative
