>> our pilots put themselves in harms way protect the innocent and deserve the sensibility. i spoke to the raf earlier today. they are the best of the best. with this attack, iran has again shown their true colors. they want to further destabilize the middle east. although the middle east is thousands of miles away, it has a direct effect on our security and prosperity. we are working urgently with our allies to de-escalate the situation and prevent further bloodshed. we want to see calm her heads

prevail. we are directing all about diplomatic efforts to those means. we are united in our condemnation of this attack. we have discussed further diplomatic measures that we will be working on in the coming days. i will be shortly speaking to prime minister netanyahu to express our solidarity with israel and talk about how we can further help them. our actions show a wider strategy. i believe there are three vital steps to put the region onto a better path. we must uphold regional security against hostile actors. we must ensure israel's security. that is not negotiable.

it is a fundamental condition of peace in the region. in the face of threats like we saw this weekend, israel has our full support. we must invest more deeply in the two state solution. that is what we have been doing over the past six months. so when the time comes, they can provide more effective government to gaza and the west bank. it is significant that other regional partners worked to prevent a much worse attack. this holds out precious hope for the region. the conflict in gaza must end. hamas started this war. they wanted not just to kill and murder but to destabilize the

entire region. this weekend day offered a road to a cease-fire. it is israel's right and duty to defeat the threat from hamas terrorists and defend their security. nothing that has happened affects our position on gaza. the entire country wants to see an end to this bloodshed and see more humanitarian support going in. the recent increases positive, but it is still not enough. we need to get in vital supplies. i want to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the three british aid workers who were killed inside gaza.

they were heroes. the children of gaza who they were risking their lives to feed need humanitarian help immediately. that is the fastest way to get hostages out and stop the fighting. saturday's attack was that of a despotic regime. it is emblematic of the threat that we face today. tel aviv was not the only target.

test threats to stability are growing not just in the middle east but everywhere. we are meeting those threats time after time with british forces. it is wise sailors are defending the freedom of navigation. and soldiers are on the ground. it is why we have led the way in backing ukraine and we will can and you to back them for as long as it takes. when peace and prosperity is threatened, we will always stand in the way, ready to defend our values and our interests, shoulder to shoulder with our friends and allies.

>> thank you. i would like to thank the prime minister. for the regular briefings on the situation in the middle east. i want to pay tribute to your father. he was a great servant. we offer solidarity with the victims of the horrific attack in sydney. and rescuing the heroism of the british aid workers killed in gaza. turning to the events of this weekend, we support the defensive action taken by the u.k. over the weekend along with our international allies against the iranian attacks on israel. we welcome your call for restraint.

as the condemnation from our allies, the response this weekend was unprecedented. a further step toward the destabilization of the region and the risk of escalation. no one in this house should be under any allusion, this is terror across the middle east. they repress their own people and they support the efforts of vladimir putin in ukraine. we want to be updated about any new steps you are taking to pursue sanctions against the regime. can you clarify what steps you are taking limit the power of the revolutionary guard to glorified terrorism here in the united kingdom. there is no justification for these actions.
2:38 am
one of the drivers of tension in the region is the ongoing war in gaza. six months on from the horrific terrorist actions, hostages remain separated from their families. thousands of palestinians have been killed. now more than a million people facing imminent threat. i urged the government again to use every how of leverage that we have to make sure that aid to gaza is on heated and drastically scaled. we reiterate our call for an immediate cease fire. for hamas to release hostages. and to the return to a diplomatic process i can rekindle hope for a two state solution. we condemned the actions of iran. it is right that we work with others to defend the sick ready of our allies.
