rates but not right now but you agree in terms of watching inflation but you think they should not wait. >> they should cut sooner and get confidence moving in their. >> that certainly will get confidence on the path of rates but what would that do for the economy. >> cover growth investor i love to see low rates that's good for my growth companies that need capital but it's fascinating you are the first one i've heard to make the argument that they should get ahead of us because they typically wait too long, you're saying cut now. >> i would absolutely cut now because we want to show the confidence that were ready to go in inflation is under control and get cheaper capital back in the. >> is not under control. >> that's always a question but shouldn't we think it's going in that direction. >> i know you been focused on artificial intelligence let's

take a look at google the company rolled out new features to the gemini a.i. program at the developers conference yesterday the new program can have conversations and can caption images, videos, summarize large documents, this unveiling coming one day after the microsoft backed rival openai announced the newest model gpt 40, what is your take on what google is doing. >> is all about a.i. for google it's been interesting if you look at the two-hour presentation it was just a.i. typically they have different topics but it was all about what were doing on photos and all the stuff, competition, game on let's go for. >> is you look at a.i. we spent a lot of time about the technology and application but we never talk about the implementation, what you looking at as it relates to the energy sources for a.i. is good required a great deal of power and we seen rollback of nuclear

energy in an administration adverse to natural gas. as we cai doing more and more and inquiring more and more you take that into consideration as you allocate capital. maria: same question around data centers, data centers need more energy and were basically scaling back on all the things that we know that provide the robust energy, do you see that as beta potential problem as people begin to consider which a.i. they will double down on. >> i don't see it as much of an issue because you have nvidia to continue to look at empowering them with us, the calculation of computing in the money's been going to what is going to enable all of this and is focused on the chips than the energy itself. otherwise you would make that point with the big coins. >> as we see the moratoriums on mining at home we see china preventing the u.s. chips abroad

does not play in here. >> it certainly does but is not where the investments are going to go much more about the application et cetera what are you going to do with it not just b2c but b2b. >> joe was talking about the underlying energy needs and that's one of the most important points that people make about the climate change agenda that in america were seeing a movement to shut down fossil fuels but in reality with a.i. and all the other sources that were looking for growth is going to need more energy and more electrifying but specifically on a.i. give us your take given your broad sense of a.i. and all the boards that you were on what is most important for us to understand a.i. being a game changer for the economy. >> that's a great question at the end of the day it enables us to do more in parallel, for example when you think about an event coming up to the sec today settlement going to one-day settlement of equities how to

that the chinese people are coming from all the way from the southern border which doesn't make a lot of sense they are getting encountered what is going on and assess the situation today. >> thank you. the real concern is incredible spike in the past 18 months last year we had 20000 chinese nationals coming in this year so far and six months with 24000 that's more than 13 years prior to president trump or president biden being in office it is a massive increase in we have the reports of over 100 intrusions per military installation with chinese nationals posing as tourist taking pictures things that got it's very concerning to the fact that democrats don't seem to care, their talking points are out of the ccp.

maria: do believe that the tens of thousands of people coming from china are being directed and is that their job to do surveillance at america's military installations. >> i'm not suggesting that there directed. i'm suggesting it's very concerning and we need to look at it. they decrease the vetting from 40 questions to five to speed people into the country and they're overwhelmed because they created a migration crisis and now we have an enemy, china who is clearly doing everything that they can to upset the current world order and take over the world they are sending live tens of thousands of people coming is something we should consider as a national security risk and the democrats don't seem interested. maria: that's what i'm saying you can pick up and leave china move to america you have to have approval, authorities have to okay something like that.

for what's happening in the interest of pushing back against the chinese, and his party that's trying to infiltrate the homeland. >> i do think the democrats wanted to any increased vetting at all they want more people in the country as many as can get here and they will withstand drug cartels bring infected all in and killing americans and withstand tens of thousands of chinese nationals coming in to get their agenda and that is massive immigration, i don't think there's any will on part of the democrats and that's why us digging into this issue and republicans want to do it, democrats don't. maria: why not? >> to have an agenda for an open border in everything that they can do is to get people into the country in there are conspiracy theories about why that in some of those are probably true, they have no interest in securing the border. maria: there is a new report on
