treasury is coming down, at 449 right now. that should inspire some investors, get below 4.5%, the price of oil $77 a barrel and bitcoin last time we checked was 68. still $68,000 a coin. now this. you may dislike donald trump, you may oppose his policies, you may think his behavior obnoxious but to bring him to a criminal trial for falsifying business expenses many years ago shows the depths to which new york's legal system has sunk. this was an entirely political trial organized by the biden administration. it was the deliberate use of the courts to hamstring a political opponent, with 34 guilty verdicts, they think they have won. have they won anything by trashing our legal system. trump hatred is at the heart of it, doesn't the liver a fair

trial and when trials are seen to be unfair, we the people lose faith in the system. they sacrificed our judicial system to the demands of biden's political campaign. we know with these verdicts america has last. i don't think somebody democrats realize what they've done, they think branding trump a convicted felon ensures a biden when in november, that remains to be seen. we have to go through the sentencing a few days before the republican convention. how will peel people feel about that. if a biden's cognitive ability wants to slide, he can't think straight but is trying to put his opponent in jail. verdicts have fired up the republican base, they are furious and there are going to be a lot of independents who will lean republican because they don't care to see america brought so low. as for the trump haters they will still hate but they have to live with what their hatred has done.

stuart: you should be pleased at stock payments. for the first time, a former president has been convicted in a criminal case, trump has vowed to appeal the guilty verdict. eric shawn outside in new york, what happens next? >> it ain't over as you said, donald trump has said he will appeal the verdict to that was reached yesterday afternoon. his defense attorneys believe they have a variety of issues to challenge, they say pretrial publicity made a fair trial impossible. and some of the judge's rulings were too restrictive. as for stormy daniels's salacious testimony, his defense attorneys say that should never have been allowed. they.out that judge mechon has a conflict of interest. he donated $15,000 to president

prosecutor joins me now. jonathan turley, law professor, george washington university says, turley says he's convinced the decision will be reversed. do you agree with that? what's the point? when might it be reversed? >> a lot of appellate issues. an appeal would not be likely for at least a year before the intermediate up how that politics should not play a role in these things but we have to be cognizant that every appellate judge in new york, intermediate court and high court is a democratic appointee. stuart: if trump is in the election and loses but then after the election his conviction on felony counts is reversed, then what? >> there is no recourse. lauren: no-confidence. stuart: that sinks my

confidence in the judicial system. >> appeal rarely in less then a year and a voluminous transcript, makes it even longer potentially. stuart: does it have to be all 34 counts reversed? >> most likely the same issues would impact all of the counts. my suspicion if there was a reversal it would affect all 34 equally. stuart: if he is sentenced to jail on july 11th before the republican convention, will he actually go to jail? >> he shouldn't be sentenced to jail because it's the lowest level felony, he doesn't have a criminal record. it would be the exception rather than the rule to sentence him to jail but they would move for a stay of sentence ending appeal, if you have a short jail term you would be deprived of the benefit of the appeal if you serve the full term for the rebuke. stuart: i think i am following this. what kind of precedent to these

guilty verdicts create? >> we have been having federal elections in the confines of new york state since it was founded 230 years ago. no one has ever been charged with the business reference violation arising from federal election ever before in those 230 years. stuart: what precedent does that set for elections in the future? >> makes you worry about the weaponization of the committal justice system and everyone should put the shoe on the other foot test. stuart: this is the weaponization of the judicial system? >> if his neighbor not donald trump this would not go to state court. stuart: do you think the new york judicial system, this is difficult for you to answer because you are a lawyer in new york but do you think our legal system in new york city is in good standing in this country? >> a nonpartisan prosecutor would not have bought these charges so that raises concerns about how this precedent could be followed by prosecutors of any political stripe.
