win? that was the question democrats asked of president biden and when the answer was no, he can't win, he was forced out by party leaders. next question: can kamala harris win? it seems shall we say unlikely. she does not do well in the polls, and has a miserable track record after three and a half years in the vice presidency. she's on the progressive wing of the party, which is not popular nationally. but what really sets her back, this is my opinion, is her demeanor. on television and in those short video clips that pop up in your news feed, she's all too often laughing at inappropriate moments saying stuff that nobody understands. she didn't win a single delegate four years ago and only got her place because of her identity. the image you present in a presidential election is very important, and she does not have the appearance or demeanor of a serious candidate. that's just my opinion. so follow the money. big donors will not pony up the cash if they think she can't

a close election and it will be with her. i don't think that she's going to get challenged because i don't think -- look, i don't think there's a white male in the democratic party that hopes to be president one day that will knock the first black woman to ever be a major party nominee off the ticket and think they're going to survive. they're not going to get cross wise as a con depressional black caucus -- congressional black caucus and james thigh burn and all of them -- james clyburn and all of them. if trump wins, 2028 it's an open seat and he can only serve for four years and most of the democrats think they're going to lose this election and she's a perfect sacrificial lamb to go up and represent them in this then she's finished and they can move on from this sorry spectacle and then win the open seat four years from now. stuart: have you ever seen a democrat party as split as this: obama and pelosi and schumer on one side and clinton and biden folks on the other. ever seen a split like this?

>> it's a mess. it's a kind of civil war in a way in the democratic party and, look, she's taking the nomination without having ever won a single primary vote in her entire life. because as you pointed out in your opening, which was terrific, the -- she didn't get to the iowa caucuses and had no delegates or votes in 2020 and wasn't on the vote in 2024 so she's got no primary votes. know who has more primary votes than her? dean phillips, marion williamson, uncommitted. they all very delegates and more primary votes than kamala harris but she's going to be the nominee. stuart: with a track record like that, marc, why do you think that a trump kamala harris matchup would any way go to kamala harris? >> i don't think it's likely to go to kamala harris but not impossible just like i don't think a trump biden matchup was likely to go to joe biden but it

was possible. he wasn't out of it. until the assassination, trump wasn't out of the margin of error in the swing states except for three of them. he was leading consistently and presume he was ahead because almost every single poll showed him ahead, but in most of the states by 2, 3 po points and ony three state where is he was clearly outside the margin of error so this is going to be a close election because there are a lot of people, and i'm going to break news here, there's a lot of amer americans that don'e donald trump. john fetterman had a worse debate than joe biden and won his election because people didn't like the alternative. if you don't like the alternative, they'll vote for somebody they don't like. stuart: something that concerns a lot of people, biden dropped out of the race by writing a letter. a monumental political movement with a letter. there's no picture of him signing the letter. nothing like that at all. and i want to see and hear from the president doesn't he need to

physically speak out and explain why he's leaving? >> of course and why he's citying in the office. if he's not up to being the nominee and running for four more years, why is he still in the presidency? the thing also i'm hearing, all the people are praising joe biden as a modern day george washington and did the patriotic thing and stood aside for his country. yeah, he's like george washington if george washington hid his senility from the american people and hounded out of office by the other founding fathers then like george washington. they engaged in a massive coverup and not like he had a stroke or had a sudden illness. they've known for years that he was in this situation, and they would be backing him to this moment if it wasn't for that debate and the fact their coverup was exposed for the american people for all to see. there's no george washington here. stuart: and they realized he couldn't win and he's out.

those trump trades are very much alive and well. stuart: i want to talk about big tech. over the next ten days, big tech companies will be reporting their quarterly earnings. i'm told they're going to be spectacularly good, that good? >> i have no doubt the earnings will beat. 85% of the companies beat by an 8% margin at least and i expect the same. interestingly last week, we saw the s&p 493 do much better than the mag seven and everyone thinks you have to have this rotation where money moves from your left to your right pocket. i'll tell you that i think you're going to see the mag 7 hold in there and earnings catch up to them. a catch up of 493 doesn't mean a catch down for mag 7. you have to remain long in those names. stuart: i am. and staying long on those names. >> microsoft. stuart: there we go. paying for vacations and

>> no, the critics will have a field day. look, everybody sort of rallying around kamala harris right now. she's going to be a great candidate, very enthusiastic. she's not going to wear well at all and she's not necessarily the candidate. the senior people haven't endorsed her and not throwing their weight behind her and that ukraine quote, it's a country and russia is a bigger country and they're all in europe together. they're going to be dozens of those. the more she talks and less anybody likes her. stuart: does all this election chaos have any effect on the war in israel? >> just a minute away from a ceasefire in gaza.

no, you're not. houthis and hezbollah and iran big time against israel and there's no ceasefire in the making, and if joe biden walks away from israel because he's worried about the muslim vote in minnesota and bet your bottom dollar kamala will walk away from israel and adopt a more maybe not pro hamas but certainly not pro israel position. stuart: really? you think that is a possibility that kamala harris would walk at least a bit away from israel, a little bit towards hamas? seems so outrageous to me. i can't see it. >> they don't walk -- of course it's outrageous but they care about the tuesday solution, minnesota and michigan. they don't care about the middle east. they're showing you, there's a lot of american people and the entire world for a couple of years because they're clinging to power. they'll do anything to cling to power and whether it's peace in the middle east, no peace in the middle east, walking away from israel, that's chump change for

ashley: well, as kt just said, probably not but blinken suggested that a ceasefire is within "the ten yard line driving towards the goal line". speaking at a security forum in aspen, blinken said the issue is what happens once a ceasefire is agreed. either hamas comes back, which sun acceptable, israel prolongs its occupation, which sun acceptable, or there's just a vacuum filled by lawlessness. it's been nearly two months since the biden administration released a three-part peace proposal that outlines a permanent ceasefire in gaza and the release of the more than 120 hostages still believed to be held by hamas. the hopes of a deal have faded pretty quickly after israel's legislature passed a resolution rejecting palestinian state hood, which by the way is one of the key parts of biden's plan. don't hold your breath. stu. stuart: thanks, ash. now this, israeli military has

evidentiary standpoint, she doesn't have a lot of support within the democratic party. she's obviously been vice president, obviously president biden has endorsed her but as i think you pointed out and others have pointed out, president obama declined to endorse her and nancy pelosi declined to endorse her and major democratic power brokers and shoved joe biden off the race and they need to be taken seriously and whether she's expecting a coronation, she want as coronation and hoping for a coronation, but i don't know that it's going to be a sounding the alarm of a road as she's -- smooth of a road as she's hoping. stuart: any idea who harry would choose as -- harris would choose for her running mate? >> looking at governors and the consensus is they need to pick a white handout to balance the ticket so you've got people like andy beshear in kentucky, senator mark kelly in arizona, you've got josh shapiro, the governor of pennsylvania and these are all states she has to win or would be in play and they're all very popular in their states and those are all among the candidates she's

stuart: on the markets, we're seeing the same pattern, strong gain for the nasdaq and technology stocks pretty much across the board. minor loss for the dow up two points. a look at chip makers and they're recovering nicely this morning, nvidia, amd, qualcomm, taiwan semi, monolithic power, they're all up. cryptos are rallying, not so much ethereum but bitcoin up $67,000. tram subpoena a crypto kind of guy. he -- trump is a crypto kind of guy and looking positive in the election, bitcoin goes up and it's up now.
