6:00 pm
>> santa, how are we doing? this year for christmas how about? >> he's on the naughty list. >> what do you want to tell jesse watters? >> this is our world. >> take care of who takes care of you. take care of this guy right here. >> has jesse watters been naughty or nice this year? >> the producers just told me that johnny requested to sit on santa's lap and santa refused. i think that was a good idea, santa. that is all for us tonight. dvr "jesse watters primetime" and always remember i am watters and this is my world. welcome to "hannity". we start with a fox news alert.
6:01 pm
federal prosecutors have filed three felony charges, six misdemeanor counts against the president's 53-year-old sun hunter biden. all of this related to the alleged scheme to evade taxes on a massive amount of income. these years between 2016 and 2019. quote, rather than pay his taxes, the defendant spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle. remember hunter was previously indicted on federal gun charges in delaware. the doj's original plan, let's take you back in time, was to not charge hunter at all, with nothing. they wanted to sweep all of hunter's misdeeds if you will under the rug. the biden and family misdeeds under the rug. for a while it was all going according to plan. remember federal prosecutor david weiss had been investigating this for years. he dragged on what appeared to be a fake investigation allowing the statute of limitations, this is important tonight as we go through all of this, to actually
6:02 pm
run out on several serious tax crimes alleged that corresponded with the burisma years. we will explain that. then he seemed content to just wrap up the probe without any charges at all up until the point were two whistleblowers, brave whistleblowers at the irs, sounded the alarm. according to six separate witnesses david weiss said that his hands were completely tied in regards to his investigation. remember they took contemporaneous notes. remember david weiss told them, i can't charge him in california. i can't charge him in d.c. i can't charge in other jurisdictions. he lacked the authority to do so and override local authorities. biden appointed prosecutors. those whistleblowers, gary shapley for example, took contemporaneous notes at the time validating his claim. it's all contradicted, by the way, the sworn testimony of the attorney general of our country merrick garland.
6:03 pm
later a statement by david weiss himself who was on both sides of this issue. and one letter to one senator and one letter to another congressman. david weiss moved on to plan b call. remember plan "b"? that was a sweetheart plea deal for hunter masquerading as justice. never before in the history of the country has a deal been so sweet, but the one they were offering hunter. no felony charges, slap on the wrist after all these other charges get swept away under the rug. it wouldn't happen if your last name was trump, i tell you that. unfortunately for hunter the plea deal, remember the plea deal collapsed? the federal judge in delaware started asking real questions. remember when the delaware judge was asking prosecutors if they ever ever in their history saw a deal like this before. they had to admit they had not. this was all deeply humiliating for david weiss and the attorney general garland who now look extremely compromised and
6:04 pm
frankly corrupt especially given the doj's unrelenting pursuit of donald trump. but still tonight the politicize, weaponize doj still have the same goal. let's be clear. they don't care about hunter biden. frankly, nobody seems to care about hunter biden. this is not about hunter biden. instead this has always been and continues to be an effort to protect the big guy, the brands, joe biden. remember without joe biden there is no biden brand. how do we know about the biden brand? devon archer told us about it. tony bobulinski told us about it. that would mean without the joe biden part of this there wouldn't be multimillion dollar payouts from romania and russia and china and ukraine and kazakhstan and other countries around the world. there would be no cushy job on the board of burisma, the oil and gas giant in ukraine for hunter even though he had no experience admittedly in oil, gas, coal, energy or even
6:05 pm
ukraine itself. there are no mysterious shell corporations without joe. no suspicious activity reports. none of this business would occur without joe. this entire case revolves around the president of the united states, joe biden. now on the surface level, this looks bad. the deeper you dig, the worse this gets. payments classified as loans over and over and over again. but we don't get to see the paperwork as to when the loans were given and what the terms were. hunter claiming that his dad used a wells fargo account to pay his bills. an e-mail detailing 10% to the big guy, a mountain of evidence that joe biden regularly was interacting with hunter's business partners. we learned more this week about that. yet biden is lying about every bit of it. in order to save joe and keep his campaign afloat while hunter is likely being offered up as the quote sacrificial lamb. they will prosecute hunter and
6:06 pm
distance him and his crimes from his father and declare justice has been served. that's with the new plan is. we know better. to their credit, so do house republicans. earlier today they released the text of the impeachment inquiry resolution along with the following statement. quote, the biden family and associates received more than $24 million from foreign nationals. joe biden received $200,000 from his brother james biden. the same day james biden received a $200,000 loan from a failing rural hospital operator. joe biden also received $40,000 in chinese money from his brother and sister-in-law. now it became clear that the biden family, what brand were they selling? were they selling hunter's expertise in art? i don't think so. they were looking for, let's see, d.c. help. those words come to mind. that was the influence they were using.
6:07 pm
that was the biden brand. they were using joe biden's name as the product, the brand. don't forget according to article two, section four of the u.s. constitution, the president, vice president all civil officers of the united states shall be removed from office on impeachment for and conviction of treason, bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors. biden has got to be held accountable. he has a lot of questions to be answered. we know he has lied as a candidate. we know he has lied as a president. let's be very clear. this is not a story about a father's love for his son. this is a story about a father using a struggling son to fill the family coffers. the house oversight committee has identified over 10 biden family members that benefited financially from all of this foreign money. we can't find a single service that was offered in return for tens of millions of dollars. joe biden is a disgrace. this is now going to be coming to light.
6:08 pm
here with the full report on the new hunter biden charges out of california, our very own david spent on the ground with the latest. what have you've got? >> good evening. as you see on the screen, nine charges, six are felonies. three are felonies, six are misdemeanors. this came down in the central district of california, los angeles. that's where hunter biden has lived since april of 2018. according to this indictment and special counsel david weiss he willfully chose not to pay his taxes. i want to read some of this release from david weiss. it says he engaged in a four year scheme in which he chose not to pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for 2016 through 2019. and also it says he spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying those tax bills. in 2018 he stopped paying his outstanding and overdue taxes for the year 2015.
6:09 pm
notably in this indictment, it does not include any charges on registering as a foreign agent. there was some speculation that the special counsel would go down that path given hunter biden's overseas business dealings. he stopped short of doing that, only charging him with these nine tax charges. you mentioned at the top of the program that weiss is also taking hunter biden to trial in delaware on those federal gun charges. when he will appear in california we don't quite know yet. we are waiting to see when he will make that first appearance. we have also reached out to hunter biden's attorney abbe lowell. still waiting for some reaction. >> thank you for that report. we appreciate it. joining us now is the editor-in-chief, founder, investigative reporter of just the news.com. as we check in with john solomon tonight. john, you have more than any reporter in this country been following this story and have broken pretty much by yourself
6:10 pm
every big aspect of this story. i want to go through this slowly because i think there so many parts of this that people don't know about and people have missed. let's first go to the tax charges. wasn't it david weiss that was contradicted by the whistleblowers? didn't david weiss originally planned not to bring any charges and only as a result of the whistleblower testimony that he than bring it to another level? and that became the sweetheart deal that blew apart in open court because of a delaware judge? >> yeah, listen. first off, this indictment tonight affirms every fact that the whistleblowers gary shapley and joe zigler gave. they have been tormented by some in the media and certainly by hunter biden's defenders. their truthfulness is 100% confirmed in this indictment tonight. they change the course of history. david weiss team was content to give hunter biden a small misdemeanor plea deal for hunter
6:11 pm
biden. now he is facing three felonies, nine charges, 17 years in prison. they changed the course of history. also tonight, joe biden has a very bad mark on his record now. just think about this. this indictment portrays hunter biden as a quintessential tax cheat, a guy who would rather spend money on sex clubs and pay taxes. a guy who made millions in foreign money but wouldn't pay his taxes. even when he filed his own taxes from time to time he would cheat even when he filed taxes the indictment alleges. there is a very important fact. back in 2019 i reported and i was ridiculed for reporting that ukrainian prosecutors wanted to tell the united states government that hunter biden did not pay taxes on some of his burisma income. tonight david weiss indictment through the grand jury confirms hunter biden did not pay taxes on the money he earned from burisma holdings in 2014. just like the ukrainian authorities tried to tell the
6:12 pm
united states government and 2019, but they were turned away. this is a devastating indictment for a president. his own son is portrayed as a tax cheat. the president has told us he wants to crack down on tax cheats. he wants to hire 89,000 more irs agents. in this case here, his own son is the poster child for what a tax cheat looks like, at least in this indictment. >> john, let me ask you this. i want to go back. the burisma years, and this is where almost from the very beginning this tipped everybody off. because it was so unusual. let me focus in on that one deal in particular. am i wrong or right on the issue? in october 2015, didn't it become official obama administration policy to give a billion dollars of lone guarantees to ukraine? that was after an interagency investigation. they decided enough progress on
6:13 pm
the corruption of ukraine warranted the billion in lone guarantees. that happened in october 2015. is that correct? >> that's right. september and october 2015. the treasury department, justice department and state department agreed together that ukraine and its prosecutor generals office made enough corruption reforms and it deserved a billion dollars in new loan guarantees. europe also concurred with that opinion. >> let me ask you this, john. in december 2015, this is the same year we are talking about, hunter is with burisma executives. correct me if i am wrong. this is at the time they needed d.c. help or maybe they needed the biden and brand if you want to use devon archer's analogy. at that time they were in dubai. hunter was in dubai and burisma executives were in dubai. they had a phone call with joe biden. five days later i believe joe biden went to ukraine. that is when joe biden was bragging about the issue that in
6:14 pm
fact he said fire the prosecutor. you've got six hours or you are not getting the money. he fires the prosecutor. as a result of that firing ukraine got the loan guarantee which was already official obama administration policy. hunter biden admits he had no experience on good morning america and oil, gas, energy or call. he continue to get paid millions of dollars for a job he clearly was not qualified for at a time where they are admitting he was addicted to drugs and alcohol. is that the proper timeline on that? >> that is exactly the timeline. in october burisma started to get worried that ukrainian prosecutors were ramping of the investigation. hunter biden starts talking to people around joe biden. one of joe biden advisors talks to joe biden about it. give ukraine the money. they have done enough. joe biden according to the washington post which has changed his story. they say joe biden called an audible. you know that's a change in play in a football game.
6:15 pm
he called an audible and decided to withhold the billion dollars and enforce the firing of the prosecutor that was making burisma panic. hunter biden's company was panicked and they fired victor jochen. that's what i reported in 2019. today the evidence validates that timeline. >> let me go back. how is it that david weiss investigating this, how did he let the statute of limitations pass on the issue of taxes him involving the burisma years? we are talking about millions of dollars they are there that not the timeline x the statute of limitations past their? that would have been highly unusual because they could have gone to hunter biden's attorneys at the time and said we are extending this are we are going to charge you. wouldn't that be the normal practice? >> yes. normally they do a tolling agreement. you keep negotiating and maybe get a deal. you preserve the government's
6:16 pm
ability to bring the charges. that agreement was allowed to expire in the fall of 2022. meaning the $400,000 in income that hunter biden, and david weiss confirms $400,000 in income that hunter biden got from burisma in 2014 could no longer be charged as a felony tax evasion case. today they mentioned it in the narrative but cannot charge them with it because of the fact they allowed the statute of limitations to go. all of this would have been swept under the rug based on all the reporting i have done with the fbi, irs and other officials. this would have been swept under the rug if gary shapley and joseph zigler didn't come forward and blow the whistle to congress. >> joe biden has said over and over again, he said as a candidate and president and said it this week that he never once talked to his brother or his son or anybody for that matter about the foreign business dealings. we know that is not true, john solomon. we know because devon archer told us it's not true and he
6:17 pm
himself as a partner new of at least 20 occasions when joe got on the phone with hunter, the foreign business partners. and then of course we have photo evidence of joe biden meeting with elayna, the russian oligarch, former first lady of moscow. $3.5 million deal that they did with her, later leading to her investing over $100 million in a real estate venture with them. joe biden met with her at the café milano, didn't he? he met with other foreign business partners at the café milano, didn't he? >> he did. he met with one in the naval observatories. the official residence when he was vice president. the guy connected to because extend. joe biden is not telling the truth when he said those are lies. the only lies are his response. the evidence is overwhelming that he did meet and get some money from the senate. he lied and said my family never got money from china. today david weiss documents millions of dollars coming from china to his family.
6:18 pm
tomorrow morning we will provide new evidence and show you that joe biden is right in the middle of this with the help of senator ron johnson. we will reveal tomorrow there are six suspicious activity reports that came in from banks that were flagging two possible criminal activities. human trafficking and money laundering. that list joe biden's delaware residents as the source and origination of the financial transactions that result in their concern. joe biden's house was sort of a crime scene for these banks reporting possible money laundering and human trafficking. his home, the home that he allowed his son to stay and for some time. it is listed in six banks, $12 million of transactions in these six suspicious activity reports. the first time we knew joe biden's house was in the middle of what banks that were money laundering and human trafficking schemes. that will come out tomorrow morning. >> unbelievable. your reporting has been dead on
6:19 pm
accurate. there is also a issue of david weiss contradicting himself in separate letters i believe to one senator and one congressman. and also the comments by merrick garland. didn't he testify before congress that david weiss had the authority to charge in other jurisdictions? that is what david weiss was telling the whistleblowers that he did not have. he did not have the authority to charge in other jurisdictions. but he said something else to one branch of congress and something else to a different branch. correct? the house and senate. different houses. >> there is a lot to sort out here. other witnesses have affirmed the whistleblowers stories. they have rebuked both accounts of merrick garland and david weiss. david weiss now has given a more complete account when he finally sat down with jim jordan. he acknowledge that i got turned down by the biden and appointees in washington and california. i let the statute of limitations go. i couldn't do anything without getting approval of the tax
6:20 pm
division that was run by joe biden's appointees. david weiss has the story right now. it matches the whistleblowers stories. and others that jim jordan and james comer have interviewed. early on there was a lot of fast and loose. the only people that turned out to be consistently accurate were the irs whistleblowers. >> you have been following the story of kevin morris who made a loan of $4.9 million. but as part of that, didn't you discover that one of the reasons he thought it was important to help hunter out financially was because the issue of taxes would be front and center in the 2020 presidential race? >> yes, he writes an e-mail saying there would be political and personal peril for hunter biden if he doesn't start paying his taxes. this occurs in 2020 after he meets hunter biden at a joe biden fundraiser. those e-mails came out yesterday. kevin morris is mentioned as an unnamed person. david weiss confirms that kevin morris was starting to pay.
6:21 pm
he is an unnamed person. we know kevin morris started to pay hunter biden's bills including rent and tax bills starting in the 2020 timeframe. that story has been affirmed. there is a lot to dig in. and any other presidency of a donor started giving millions of dollars to the president's son or children or wife or brother it would be a big scandal. most of the media have tried to ignore this over the last few weeks. david weiss puts it front and center in this indictment. scenic is joe biden really the tip of the spear? in other words we wouldn't be talking about any of this, would we, if joe biden was in the brand? if joe biden didn't lie to the american people repeatedly? why lie if you are not involved? why lie if you did nothing wrong? joe biden lied to the country repeatedly and is lying again and even this week on this issue. is it true that the center of all of this is the president of the united states? it involves 150 some odd suspicious activity reports.
6:22 pm
all of the shell corporations, all of these biden family members including grandchildren that are being paid millions of dollars from some of our top geopolitical foes. being paid into this family, no evidence of any services that we can find rendered in exchange for that money. is that where we are tonight? last question. >> we are. hunter biden himself admitted this in an interview two years ago. a lot of things came his way solely because of his last name. yes that's why he got hired. yes that's why millions came into the family. they lied about it in 2019. today the american public have a much clearer example of a graft screen scheme that the biden schrand that involve tax evasion. also money laundering concerns at the banks. joby home joe biden aided and abetted this game for a long time. his family got rich off it. the last remaining question for james comer and jim jordan, how
6:23 pm
much did joe biden benefit from it? the impeachment inquiry will ultimately be able to answer that. >> i wonder if he will use this as an excuse not to appear before james comer's committee? we will watch that in the days to come. john solomon, thank you. here is fox news legal analyst gregg jarrett along with alan dershowitz. greg, we begin with you tonight. you've been following this story and writing column after column. i want to go to the heart of this issue. i've been calling this the joe biden bribery and money laundering scandal allegations. does this take us one step closer tonight to joe biden the president and his involvement in his lying to the country? >> it does. his complicity, sean. the evidence is mounting that joe biden actively aided and abetted his son's schemes. he's been lying about it all along. everybody knows that. he even lied about it yesterday.
6:24 pm
there is documents, testimony, white house logs, e-mails, text messages that prove that he talked by phone with hunter's clients. he met personally with his son's over steve's partners. he even attended their meetings that were closely guarded. joe biden appears to be complicit in pushing the biden brand, which was selling access to him. promises of influence. devon archer confirmed that joe sent signals and operated in his leverage for all of that money, millions of it. it's obvious that hunter was selling his dead to the world and the family was getting rich from it. it doesn't matter whether joe pocketed a single penny of it. under the bribery statute it is still a crime if the money goes to any other person or entity other than the public officeholder. of course as you pointed out earlier, bribery is an impeachable offense.
6:25 pm
by the way, there is no statute of limitations on impeachment as there were in some of the charges that david weiss allowed to lapse intentionally. >> professor dershowitz, i doubt you would disagree on the issue of joe biden line. it's clear he lied to the country when he said he never spoke to his son, brother or anybody for that matter about the foreign business dealings. but it's bigger than that. hunter and his own laptop, the very real laptop, not the fake laptop that the media claim to. he implicates his father. half his income he complained goes to pops. he had to pay for pops home repairs. that is backed up by e-mails we learned this week with joe biden himself directly with eric sherman who is the money person in the corporation. and then of course e-mails with hunter and eric sherman. what account should i pay pops home repairs bill this time? complaining about paying the
6:26 pm
home repair bills for 11 years. and then tony bobulinski, the big guy, money set aside for this. none of this would be happening but for joe biden. if you focus on one issue, professor, this is what stands out in my mind. hunter biden said he had no experience in energy, oil, gas, coal or ukraine. now if you look at the burisma example, he is paid millions. in that case, we know joe biden leveraged the billion dollars. then we have the whatsapp message. this involved cefc, the chinese oil conglomerate. again, no experience in energy. i am sitting here with my father wondering why you did not fulfill your commitment. he will use everybody he knows and my ability to hold a grudge. you will regret not following through with what you agreed to. a few days later $5 million shows up in one of those bank accounts, professor.
6:27 pm
what james comer is calling shell corporations. tell me, professor, what does that look like to you? >> first of all, let's remember who is responsible for all of this coming out. we have to give credit to judge noriega. judge noriega made sure this was not all covered up by a deal that made no sense. i predicted on your show and other shows that judge noriega would not accept the deal. i was trashed by many academics, cnn and many other media. she did the right thing. she sent it back and the result has been now much more information coming out to the american public. as i said before, i hope that this results in the appointment of a real, real special counsel outside the justice department. looking at the president of the united states. it becomes just an impeachment
6:28 pm
concern, than half the country won't believe it in half the country will. the same thing happened with drum. if there is a special counsel who is credible and who can get to the bottom of this and either clear president biden are accuse president biden i think the american public will-- >> let me stop you. we have merrick garland who is contradicted by davis weiss and david weiss contradicted by merrick garland by the whistleblower testimony. originally we know that mr. weiss planned on bringing no charges. that evolved into that sweetheart deal with no time spent in jail. that fell apart in front of the judge that you rightly praise who said to the prosecutors, you've never seen a deal like this before. okay. prosecutors had to admit they never did. now we are back at the drawing board. merrick garland than appoints the guy that allowed the statute of limitations on the very important tax years of the
6:29 pm
burisma money to expire. why would he who also contradicted what he himself, merrick garland, said. he said he had given the authority to mr. weiss to press charges in other jurisdictions. according to the whistleblowers it took contemporaneous notes. david weiss said just the opposite. why would he be appointed unless somehow they are looking to protect the bidens? >> that is why we need to have a special prosecutor who is above reproach. my suggestion has been that a group of very distinguished people recommend five people to garland and tell him to pick from those five people. nobody from inside the justice department. nobody involved in politics. people of the stature of archibald cox who was the special counsel in the nixon case. everyone believe that. our criminal justice system not make our criminal justice system
6:30 pm
into a weaponize to place. >> can you explain. you are such a smart and honest man. can you explain to this country tonight how it's possible that somebody that is admittedly addicted to drugs and alcohol, somebody that has no experience, is making millions of dollars from all of these countries, even our top number one geopolitical foe. why would they be paying him that kind of money if he has no experience? does that make any sense to you? it doesn't make sense to me. >> it makes complete sense. they wanted access to the president. it's called the american system of lobbying. you pay people to give you access. there is no doubt he was not qualified to have any of these positions. no doubt. >> let's look at it legally. are they paying for influence? is that a crime, professor? >> they are paying for influence. that is clear.
6:31 pm
it's a crime to the person paying for the influence. whether it's a crime to the person who was to be influence, that is something that has to be looked into. >> let me press you further. when joe biden went against obama policy on the billion in lone guarantees and he leverage them to get the prosecutor investigating burisma fired in six hours after he had spoken with those executives five days earlier with his son when they were in dubai together. and son of a "b" he got that guy fired. my question to you, did he take official action as vice president and that resulted in a financial gain for his own son? if he did, what would you call that? gregg jarrett called it bribery. if i am wrong, correct me. >> remember it's beyond the statute of limitations. we don't have a statute of limitations on impeachment. can you impeach a president who committed an impeachable offense while vice president? that's an interesting issue. >> what do you think gregg jarrett?
6:32 pm
>> look, it is burisma as you explained is exhibit "a" in bribery. 18 usc 201. also under the impeachment clause in the constitution. there is far more than that. investigators have tracked at least 24 million from beijing sent to hunter and funneled through this labyrinth of shell companies and eventually to his family members. that figure is actually a fraction of the total cash halt. factor in millions from china, millions from ukraine, kazakhstan, romania and half a dozen other countries over which joe biden exerted influence. you're probably closer to $15 million banked by the bidens in these suspected influence peddling schemes. i think, frankly, the committee has only spent a few months uncovering mountains of evidence. but it may just be the tip of the iceberg.
6:33 pm
this may be the largest bribery influence peddling scandal in american political history and shameful. >> do you agree with that, professor? >> if the evidence supports what the investigations have shown by greg, john solomon and by you, there is a smoking gun here. that's what we need a special prosecutor to look into. this has made a very significant matter. we need to get the evidence. it can't be based just on allegations and can't be based on partisan investigations. the american public deserves to have a person of great integrity and reputation look into these matters. >> what we know now, you admit this is influence peddling based on what we know, the facts we know and the words of joe biden and hunter biden. i have no experience. son of a "b" they fired him. we know what the policy was.
6:34 pm
we know when the phone calls took place. pretty if you ask me, professor. i appreciate you being with us. we have breaking news moments ago. house oversight committee chairman james comer is now crediting the brave irs whistleblowers for holding the justice department accountable and forcing them to take action. he is 100% right. here with more reaction is former speaker of the house newt gingrich. they said two brave whistleblowers, gary shapley and joseph zigler, place their careers on the line to blow the whistle on misconduct and how things have been politicized in the hunter biden criminal investigation. the doj got caught in its attempt to give hunter biden an unprecedented sweetheart deal. today's charges filed against hunter are the result of mr. shapley and mr. zigler's efforts to ensure that all americans are treated equally under the law. every american should applaud these men for their courage to
6:35 pm
expose the truth. irs whistleblowers also revealed that investigators were prevented from following evidence that could have led to joe biden. the house oversight committee's investigation of the bidens influence peddling schemes reveals how joe biden knew about participated in, benefited from family cashing in on bidens name. hunter biden's corporate entities implicated by today's indictments funneled foreign cash that landed in joe biden's bank account. unless u.s. attorney weiss investigates everyone involved in the biden's fraud schemes and influence peddling, it will be clear that president biden's doj is protecting hunter biden and the big guy. your reaction to that, newt gingrich? >> look, i think that a practical level, when you look at all the information, what you have is essentially what i call in a recent newsletter, the delaware sopranos.
6:36 pm
this is a crime family. they were willing to sell out the interest of the united states. as somebody said the other day, you now have an effect a chinese russian paid agent sitting in the oval office. it's very hard for me to think that any normal person looking at the mound of evidence that every single day gets bigger. chairman comer has been part of that and has done a good job of digging into this. you also have people at the ways and means committee. you have people with jim jordan at the judiciary committee. every day something new comes out. and presently you are going to have such an enormous mound of evidence that it's going to be very hard for reasonable people to not at least say we need to know what is going on. i will be very curious whether there won't be some democrats
6:37 pm
who vote for the impeachment process when it comes to the floor of the house. i can't imagine, given everything which has been surfaced, why any republican would vote against. this is not an vote on impeachment. it's a boat on investigating. and using the system in order to bring to the surface things that at least today look like they are amazingly criminal. >> i won't repeat all the details i gave professor dershowitz, but in the case of burisma and cefc, the chinese oil and gas conglomerate, and the sheer amount of millions we are talking about and no experience in joe pa is a direct involvement in both of those cases with china and the whatsapp message. in ukraine he leverage the billion dollars to fire the prosecutor. that is pretty big evidence that he was involved. and of course the big lie that he told that he never talked about these issues with his son, brother or anybody for that
6:38 pm
matter. that's been blown out of the water. he made that same lie again yesterday. >> , there are a couple clear things here. joe biden is a liar and a crook. second, there was an amazing amount of foreign influence pouring into this country from kazakhstan, romania, ukraine, russia, china. this is clearly the biggest presidential scandal in american history in terms of sheer influence. in addition, it's very clear, to me at least, that they built an entire structure. you have to say to yourself, why would they have all these shell companies? why would they have this elaborate system of trying to hide what was going on? we know more and more there were all sorts of e-mails. i saw one report today that joe biden as vice president may have sent several hundred e-mails to various people who worked for one of the companies that hunter had set up.

this is a fox news alert breaking tonight. if you are just joining us, federal prosecutors have filed nine new charges against hunter biden all related to a tax evasion scheme. but the pressing question of the night is, what does this mean for the president? what did he know? when did he know it?
6:46 pm
when are charges going to be filed? will they be filed? here with analysis is fox news contributor jonathan turley. you have been one of the few honest democrats that have been pointing out this is a very real scandal with real implications for joe biden. even though people in the media wanted to go away, people in the democratic party wanted to go away, you have been warning them it's not going away. i think all roads now lead back to 1600 pennsylvania avenue and joe biden has a lot to answer for starting with why he lied repeatedly to the country including yesterday. >> well, i think that's true. the fact is that this is a circle that is getting tighter around the president. it is clear that the president has lied. he obviously lied during the first campaign when he said he had no knowledge of these dealings. hunter himself contradicted that.
6:47 pm
hunter's associate said it was utter nonsense in recent statements after his testimony. he also said that his son didn't make any money in china. that obviously is not true. but there is a more serious problem here. and that is what the president knew of was not business dealings. it was corruption. that's what influence peddling is. the united states has pushed international agreements to stop influence peddling in other countries. the united states believes it's a leading source of destructive corruption. if the president knew that his family was engaging in that type of corruption, of course it is serious. we are looking at two events next week. one is when hunter biden is supposed to appear. that may now be effectively scuttled. hunter maybe able to use this to plead the fifth, to refuse to answer questions. but the second event is the

expected vote on the impeachment inquiry. this indictment might make it easier for hunter not to speak. but it may make it more difficult for president biden to avoid that inquiry. the fact is that this indictment shatters years of denials by the bidens and frankly by an enabling media. it shows these massive amounts of money going to hunter biden from romania, ukraine, china. all of these sources. it also shows a knowing and continual effort to evade taxes, to commit criminal ax. now as the circle is getting closer to the president, then he has to answer some questions. it leads us to the simple question for next week. is any democrat going to stand up and have this moment of
6:49 pm
courage and to say, you know what, enough? we can't say we are against corruption and influence peddling and then say we don't even want to do an inquiry. >> so, when you look at the lies, you start there. then you look at the sheer number of suspicious activity reports. then you look at the identified shell corporations with no real business purposes except to move money around. then the sheer amount of money, tens of millions of dollars, with no evidence of any services rendered of any kind. and then the big question is, like for example, in the case of burisma, did joe biden as vice president take official action that financially benefited his family? because 18 usc 201, that's the bribery statute, jonathan turley. bribery, high crimes, misdemeanors. i think you know where those words come from. >> that's right.
6:50 pm
when i testified in the first biden and impeachment one thing i emphasized was this speculation of weather the president benefited from this money is absolutely absurd. in federal cases as well established that if people give money to your family, it can be bribery. many of the democrats are simply ignoring that fact. but there is also a collision problem here with hunter biden. in the gun charges, his counsel has said, you know what? he came out of an addiction around the time that he signed that form. and so he was signing it truthfully because he had clarity. the problem is a lot of these crimes occurred during that period. did he have clarity with the tax evasion is being committed during the same period? >> amazing. a lot of questions to be answered. karine jean-pierre's job just got a lot harder tonight. we will see what she tries to say tomorrow to spin out of it.
