border security has to be involved. are you looking for? >> well, britain, that's exactly right. joe biden seems to care more about other country's borders than america's border. we care about both. we think we can support ukraine and israel and taiwan and rebuild our own military while also addressing the crisis at our southern border. i mean, just last week we had days in which 12,000 illegal migrants crossed the border. those are as ainsley said just the ones we know about. so, i just imagine the scale of that. i mean, jeh johnson, barack obama's homeland security secretary, said the system is overwhelmed with just 1,000 migrants a day. if you had a week of 12,000 migrants every single day, it would be almost as big as portsmouth, arkansas. so we have to address the problem at the border, which is driven primarily by the biden administration's abuses of asylum and parole. allowing people into the country who have no legal right to be here. if we can address asylum and parole. that's the key to passing

legislation to that will not only help secure our own border. but help our allies protect themselves as well. >> brian: right, the thing is right now, 27% of the country support president biden's border policy. it's a disaster. nobody is happy about it. this should be -- this could be a life preserver for his political career and maybe his re-election campaign. and now zelenskyy is here to pitch a cause that you support. you believe you want ukraine to prevail. but you also believe this administration is response sickle for the fact it hasn't. in which way? >> brian, we always welcome foreign leaders to the united states congress. and i support ukraine. i don't support joe biden's ukraine policy. for two years, president biden pussy footed around and he didn't provide ukraine with the weapons it needed to fight the war to fend its own territory. he always flip flopped three or six or nine months later. what did that delay mean? first it meant ukraine doesn't have the weapons today that they needed to push back russia and

second it made it harder for ukraine to push back russia because it allowed russia to dig in defensive lines in southern and eastern ukraine. i mean, you hear a lot anonymos sniping from the administration about how ukraine didn't fight well in its most recent offensive. but that's because they didn't have the kind of long range artillery and aircraft that we would use to fight such a war. it's called combined arms warfare. it's pretty hard to fight combined armed warfare when you don't have combined arms. rather than armchair quarterbacking what the ukrainians are doing on the frontline to fight their own war in their own territory, president biden should have been providing them the tools from the very beginning so this war wouldn't have lasted so long and been so costly and been so bloody for ukraine. >> brian: ukrainian cause they wiped out 300,000 russians, they fight like warriors. that's not your problem. the problem is the pace in which we are arming them. we get them eventually what they need but not enough. we still haven't trained enough f-15 pilots. senator lankford leading this

conversation on the senate side says we are not going to be able to get it done by thursday or friday of this week. so guys are going home for vacation. that means nothing gets funded and nothing gets addressed. just merry christmas? >> well, brian, i regret we are not going to pass legislation this year, this month. last month because we're in a crisis situation at our southern border. we need to close our border months ago. but, also, ukraine needs funding, israel needs to be supported. and we need to be watchful about the threats that china is posing towards taiwan. but we are at the situation now, this impasse because democrats seem to care more about keeping our border open than they care about helping ukraine get back to its old borders or help israel protect its borders. democrats have to recognize that the american people, while they support our friends overseas, are also appalled at the crisis at our own southern border and are insisting we gets control of it.

summarize briefly what you are talking about. >> people ask me how could the best universities in the world have anti-semitism as a problem? i remind them the best universities in the world in the 1920s were the german universities. they far outranked harvard and penn. but anti-semitism was not just a problem there. it became the basis for ideology that took control of those universities. there is a very important lesson that harvard and its counterparts need to learn german history. they need to look in the mirror and recognize they have certain things in common. >> steve: if you are a jewish student going to harvard today, would you feel safe? would you feel supported? would you be looking online for a different school? >> well, i know harvard, students and students at other ivy league cleanings do not feel safe or supported. they are not yet looking for other colleges, though i would like to recommend a new university at austin if anybody is interested in moving. i hope they stand tall.

♪ >> ainsley: new polling shows president biden falling behind several republican rivals in hypothetical matchups. namely in key swing states that he won in 2020. >> lawrence: ainsley, look at the numbers and see how it will impact the campaign as we inch closer to election day. we are going to start with georgia. if you all remember the last election, it was thousands of votes that separated joe biden and donald trump. joe biden ended up winning it but when you look at the current

polling right now, donald trump had 49%. biden has 44%. and a lot of people are saying it is because of the economics there. it's because of the -- what happened with the all-star game and looks like trump is rallying minority voters in georgia, ainsley. >> ainsley: that's amazing. he is winning in georgia. look at donald trump vs. biden in michigan. trump getting 50%. biden getting 40%. he won in 2016 in this state which is usually a blue state. biden won by 2.8 points in 2020. look at his approval rating. biden's job performance 35%, lawrence. >> lawrence: pretty close in line especially, ainsley when you have two senators that are in georgia right now that are -- of course, the governor there is republican. but the same thing for michigan as well. when you get to nikki haley, she is at 49%. biden is at 43%. and, of course, we told you about the favorability that was there. >> ainsley: nikki haley beats biden in georgia. let's look at michigan.

nikki haley is beating biden in michigan. she is getting 50%. biden is getting 38%. pretty astonishing. what is happening in michigan. >> lawrence: looks like the muslim voters that are there. the manufacturing jobs, the economy is really hitting michigan right now. >> ainsley: yeah. >> lawrence: go to the next hypothetical with ron desantis. this shocked me right here. you have got ron desantis. he is the only candidate so far in the top three tier with donald trump as well as nikki haley and then you have got desantis. but is he losing to joe biden in the state of georgia. >> ainsley: why is that? >> lawrence: when you look at minority voters, they look like they haven't shifted over. plus, georgia is known for a lot of the lgbtq issues and everything. some of the perceptions of ron desantis in georgia i think it's hit him as well. >> ainsley: university comments? >> lawrence: yeah. >> ainsley: it was the wording of that with the benefit of slavery look at michigan. desantis is getting 49%. joe biden is getting 42%. is he doing better than joe biden in the state of michigan. and biden won in the last

gulf coast, and into florida. but nothing of, you know, a big deal that people should be aware of. however, you know that travel is happening across the country. and we have got flights delayed in new york, atlanta, los angeles, and chicago. and you know that's going to be the routine over the next couple of weeks. let's take a look at the temperatures. as we go into christmas, if you like it warm, my friends, much of the country will be above average as we get into christmas. and there is historical chance of a white christmas. count on it and for sure for parts of the rockies and the northern plains and the upper midwest as well as the interior sections of the northeast. for new york city and d.c. and philadelphia and boston, looks like it's going to be a green one. we always have january, february, and march to watch that fox weather.com for all of your latest details. i think i'm tossing back to everybody. everybody in the studio. >> steve: indeed. >> janice: hands up if you want a white christmas at some point or some snow? >> steve: a little. >> janice: brian does not.

but, because of high costs, and high interest rates, as many people aren't buying them as ford thought they would. >> ainsley: right. so they were planning on making 3200 on average per week. now they are cutting that to 1600 per week. >> lawrence: it's one of those things that you have got to know your audience. those of us that drive trucks we want it go. we want it to be rugged. we don't want to have to charge it. when we need it, we want it to be able to perform. i think when you look at the people that are out there, this was never going to be a success. >> ainsley: cowboys don't want ev. >> brian: i went out to ford and did a whole special on electric car the lightning. i was really impressed. it drives itself. they were really high on it. they said they were backed up on orders and they just had to figure out a way to satisfy those orders so something went wrong with the business model, whether people are trying it and they are not lying it or the cost.

but we have video of instead of using -- you have me which is extremely valuable i would license it to the show of me actually at this very plant with the president. >> ainsley: mr. farley. >> brian: that's when i introduced the diagonal walk back. steve is nodding along. i don't know those people. you know me. you could use that footage. >> lawrence: go ahead, ainsley. >> ainsley: in august we did that story on the man. i looked the story up again. it's a guy who lives in canada. and he came down into america to drive his ford pickup truck. it was an ev and f-150 and brought his family for vacation. he said when he brought it he said he was told he thought i he was going to spend 77 to $80,000. all in he ended up paying 130,000 plus tax. he had to install two chargers one at home and one at work. 6,000 to upgrade his home's electric panel. then he had an subsequent. his car was in the shop for six months because they couldn't get it fixed. then he went on 1400-mile road

trip and he said he went to a fast charging station in fargo, north dakota. he was there for two hours charging it with his family. it cost $56 to charge it to 90% which cost more than gas for the same mileage. then he goes to minnesota. there is a free charging station. it didn't work. so he calls the company. no one answers. eventually he had to have his truck towed and he had orent a gas powered car to finish out his vacation. >> brian: is this chevy chase? it sounds like chevy chase vacation. incredible. >> steve: people who like the idea of well, that would be fantastic if you could get a car and it runs on electricity. but, you have got that range anxiety where it's like okay, it can go 300 miles. i told you about a year ago, i bought a hybrid, which is great. i plug it in steve e. >> lawrence: do both. >> steve: 50 free miles of. when i run out of electricity, it runs on gas. the problem is when i go to visit peter and mary down in washington, i can't find a place to plug in this particular car.

and so i wind up running on gas. i still average 100 miles per gallon, which is extraordinary. they haven't built out the grid yet. we did this story last week about how the biden administration and congress set aside $7.5 billion for electric chargers all across america. they have not built one so far. that's the problem. >> lawrence: so ford is saying that they will continue to produce this, but it would only be for the demand. >> brian: they are subsidized. everything is subsidized. the federal government is paying for the electric cars that america is curious about. >> ainsley: a lot of these uber drivers are driving teslas now. he said as a driver, i am saving a lot of money. so it's important to me i said i hate to tell you this, please don't take offense to this. i don't like sitting in the back seat of a tesla. you can't move the seat forwards and backwards. i had like an hour drive. so i really just wanted to put my feet back just a little. they don't have heated seats. these are ainsley's complaints.
