>> reporter: tough story but it is an important one to share with the viewers today. matt perry died october 28th aft28 after an apparent drowning in a hot tub at his home in the pacific pala sides area of los angeles, he was 54. according to the la medical examiner, there were trace amounts of ketamine in his system, the exact method of intake was still unknown. interestingly, there are a number of contributing factors according to the examiner including obviously drowning, coronary artery disease, the effects of a painkiller which is actually meant to combat opioid abuse but also it is notable that there were no alcohol detection, fentanyl, none of that found in his system so he was doing his level best in recovery. he reportedly received ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety.
