globally. now, of course, the left refuses to see illegal immigration as a problem despite what the polls have consistently revealed. americans support same legal immigration not the travesty of what we have now unless of course child labor fueled by the fueled by the democratic platform. >> the labor department just found over 100 children working for slaughter houses cleaning slaughter houses in the middle of the night. this problem of migrant children, particularly those from guatemala working inside u.s. meat packing is really pervasive and something that's now caught the attention of federal investigators as they try to really weed out what employers may be taking advantage of and how these children end up here in the first place. chance and do it in 2020. i don't think barack obama has ever been impressed by joe biden. so it's a warning signal to other democrats. and, laura, i think there is a 50/50 chance. maybe one in degree chance that joe biden is going to get dumped by the democrats at the republican -- at the democratic convention in august. you look at democrat senators, congressman, the people who have to run for re-election. do they want unpopular 81-year-old at the top of the ticket right before the election? they have lot to do something about it. tremendous internal discontent inside democratic circles. >> laura: chris, i'm reading the stories about biden's fund raising, they do expect to have taken in $67 million in the last reporting. and just in the last few weeks i think they raised another 15 million. they are outraising republicans that's not nothing. that is something as you are going into election year.

shop for christmas this year. how much money it cost to get a roast beef for your family or some other kind of meat. how much steak and ground beef costs. how much chicken costs. these things you can't lie your way out of. they are trying. every time someone goes to the grocery store they're reminded of the difficulties of this economy. >> laura: ari, they don't really seem to get these major issues voters keep saying we need this worry that biden might actually do something. watch this. >> this is something that the base voter in the democratic party will hate and will be outraged about and a lot of people in the white house who will not love details of this. but, in the general election electorate. there is a fear of chaos at the border, border security. it's a real issue it. doesn't mean it's entirely valid but it's a perception challenge. >> laura: well, it's always a perception problem. they perceive it to be a problem, ari, but it is a problem. in every major city and even in

suburbs now. thank good for the governors who flew to mart that's vineyard to chicago so the rest would see it not just border states. jen psaki is right about that. the base of the democratic party does not want rethe system allow people in if they are supposed to come in. and we want immigrants you have to come here illegally. that's something where i don't think joe biden is going to make the deal. he still governs from the bernie sanders wing of the democratic party. that's what he has done since day one with the spending blowouts and all the different things that he has done as president. he has always caved to the base of the democratic party. he wasn't like that as a senator. he is like that as a president. that is one of the biggest reasons he has collapsed as president. he is governing frghts far left.

laura. i have to give you some thanks here as a child of jackson, mississippi, i never thought i would be able to talk about dickey scruggs on national television. that is quite a pull from the archives. family steep in the corruption. will he they live and thrive in it. this is the business they have chosen. one they have really made their absolute best to try to get as much money out of it throughout their tenures. and one of the things we should understand about this is this is kind of, you know, the dog catching the car. it's like joe biden was always going to be this lifelong senator. somebody who just flew under the radar. he was never going to get the kind of attention that you get if you are the commander-in-chief. and then, by accident, by dent of simply being there at the right time and being the only option that democrats realistically had, he ends up being president and so suddenly

the outcome of a hearing that morning. now, the monument has been there since 1914. and buried at its foot is the sculptor who fought in the civil war and three other confederate vets. it seems like no one has bothered to actually read though with arlington national cemetery has written about the monument itself. the confederate memorial offers an opportunity for visitors to reflect on the history and meanings of the civil war, slavery, and the relationship between military service, citizenship, and race in america. the history of arlington national cemetery allows us to better understand the complex history of the united states. well, all that is out the window now. now we just learn from i object brim kendi. joining me now is victor davis hanson fellow at the hoover institution.

>> i don't know. i think reasonable people accept very standards of a president and go back 160 years and start declaring some people guilty because they don't they don't live up to our expectation. there were almost 300,000 confederate soldiers, about 4% of them, of the free population of south held slave. many of them may have fought for slavery. i think the vast majority were misled and fought for their sovereignty of their states. and we lost 700,000 people to end slavery. and to go back now and to try to destroy what this genuine effort at reconciliation is so hypocritical. there is not a good record, laura, historically of the iconic class in 16th accept be tri europe or the taliban, you remember, they blew up the

buddha statues that you blow up the mums rather than to learn from them. it's also a really a waste of our time and energy. given the problems the military have. are a the humiliation in afghanistan we are short 40 or 50,000 soldiers. we very existential problems in the military. and a monument from the civil war about reconciliation is not one of our problems. >> laura: victor, the "new york times," of course, on purpose, i think, pretends at least to not understand what this is about. and they wrote that the cemetery will still include monuments to confederates in the form of hundreds of graves of fallen soldiers and the tomb of the civil war unknowns which is believed to contain remains of combatants from both the north and the south. so, victor, so they are saying well, we haven't yet, you know, actually just ripped up the

a bombshell lawsuit from the federalist and others is accusing biden's state department of intentionally destroying their ability to get advertisers and smearing them as per varies of disinformation. it also claims biden administration is giving grants and product development assistance to global information index also known as gdi and group for profit known as news guard. we have warned you about this group before. they have something called a dynamic exclusion list that they use to urge companies published a will top 10 list of news sites for the least risky it was npr, the "new york times," pro-public can a and "the washington post," shocker. for the riskest it was the "new york post," real clear politics, american conservative and the

federalist. you kind of see the pattern here? joining me now is mollie hemingway, fox news contributor, editor and chief of the federalist that is suing, mollie. what can you tell us about this global disinformation index and this group called news guard and how this tries to demonetize conservative media. >> so these are just two of the hundreds of censorship technologies that are out there that help elevate left wing news and information, and hurt those media organizations that are not toeing the government line. that are not toting the biden administration line. yes, the gobel peddled the russia collusion conspiracy if you have done anything to debunk those stories with real facts and real information, you are rated as risky or not to be

the state department actually put together a platform where they told government and military sources and educational institutions to come check out these hundreds of censorship tools. and, again, news guard and gdi. true that news guard and gdi have received funding -- there are lots of different federal agencies that have funded or helped launch these various censorship technologies. it's not just the state department. it's also the pentagon. it's also the department of homeland security. i think americans would be really horrified to know how much of their taxpayer dollars have gone into not just helping launch some of these things, but also helping market, promote and work with them. there is a reason why this censorship has been so effective. and it's not, you know, it's not any one thing but there are lots of these companies, organizations, for profit companies and federal government agencies they are working together. that's why, you know, in our lawsuit we were also joined with the state of texas on some of these issues because it is so
