a luxury that many americans and us right now can't afford while these things are happening? particularly the border and overseas in the middle east? >> joey: yeah, i don't mind somebody going on vacation. taking the time they need. at his age he needs more time. that's not a hit against him. that's true. he needs to rest. over 400 days or close to 400 days vacation so far in this term that far surpasses president trump his entire first term it. surpasses president obama in both of his terms. so if you are going to take a vacation, maybe make sure the house isn't burning before you leave it. >> carley: he has already spent 411 days on vacation. former president trump spent 381 days his entire first term. obama even less, only 328 days over two terms. i say only, that's a lot of vacation for just four years. we certainly don't get that and that's the thing. this is a great time of year. the week between christmas and the new year's is such an

awesome time. most people just get to hang out. the president isn't most people. this happens every single year where there is some major event that takes place and then the president is off to vacation. he did the same thing last year there was a big snow storm and he got all the negative headlines for it. i was speaking to one woman. she was israeli american citizen. a and she said this a couple weeks ago. she doesn't think the president should take vacation until every single american hostage is returned home. i thought that that was a great idea i'm going to work for these american citizens i won't sleep until they are back home. >> well, i think is he going to sleep. i think is he going to rest and spend time in the caribbean. i guess he needs to worry about what comes next when he gets back from vacation. >> griff: is he facing impeachment. >> joey: impeachment inquiry that now republicans in congress are starting to talk about impeachment itself. take people back here.

what republicans have not done a great job of explain something impeachment inquiry really their messaging has been this is their investigative tool regardless of whether they want to impeach him or not if they want to get the answers they seem to need the justice department seems to have fallen flat on. start this inquiry to move those levers and have that mechanism. one of the ones leading the charge representative james comer had this to say about what may come next. >> i think most americans real lines that something stinks here. most americans real lines that we provided bank statements as hard evidence, statements that show the bidens have received well over $20 million from our enemies around the world. and they can't answer a simple question. what did you do to receive the money? they also know that joe biden stated during the campaign he never met with any of these people who sent his family money and that he had a wall between the government and his family's shady business schemes. we know he communicated with every single person that he said he never met with. that sent his family millions

and millions of dollars around the world. so the american people know something stinks here. that's going to be a problem for joe biden moving forward. not only are his policies are a disaster, but the american people think he is a crook. >> joey: those are pretty direct words there. in other words, what he is saying is as they get information here, he believes that the american people are going to see that our president has taken money in either unlawful or unethical way. i think that's something to lets sit and think about that. as a leading member of congress. somebody who is partisan leading an important effort saying listen, i think this president is so corrupt that we're going to be able to prove it and it's going to be a big deal. >> there has been calls that this is a fools errand. right? critics say this is just tit-for-tat because trump was impeached now the republicans are going after him. what comer is laying out there he is the chairman of the oversight committee. they subpoenaed. they called hunter biden up there. they didn't do depositions. he held a press conference. in that press conference he said

a lot of things which a lot of defense lawyers say he shouldn't have said. the one thing you didn't hear from hunter biden and what james comer keeps hitting on you didn't hear hunter say my dad didn't benefit. and americans have grown frustrated with this pay-for-play scheme it appears that this families, led by joe biden, has been doing for years. and that is why they consistently say and move forward on it. it's not his policy on the border or his policy in the middle east or any other policy for that matter. it's really the focus on really what this family has done and have they benefited politically as a result? >> carley: all of that is going to play out in 2024. ' then you have donald trump on the other side, of course, with his 91 federal indictments. it will be dueling court cases involving the biden family and donald trump. back to president biden being on vacation starting today, again, i understand that, you know, people all go on vacation.

this is always the criticism that takes place. but there is a lot that is going on this week. and right now where the president could have said maybe now is not the time, especially when it comes to like you were just talking about foreign policy. iran nuclear weapons is a big headline this morning. iran just tripled its production of nearly weapons grade uranium. they are at 60% purity right now. 90% is weapons grade. and to put that into perspective, the iran nuclear deal 2015 capped uranium enrichment at 3.67%. maybe that's another reason why the president should stay home. even if it's just optics. they always say you could work when you were on vacation. just optically it would be better, right now, for the president to stay in the white house. >> griff: if i were the president's adviser i would walk in there and say mr. president, you are the commander-in-chief. you have an american critically wounded. if he dies or any other in these repeated attacks, that's the red line. of a dead american has always been the red line.

>> joey: we're back with a developing story out of san antonio, texas. police believe they found the bodies of missing teenager and her boyfriend. david spunt joins us with the details. david? >> very sad story. the 18-year-old pregnant mother and her boyfriend are believed to be dead after authorities found two bodies in a car outside an apartment complex in san antonio. her name is is a van noe soto nine weeks pregnant and week past due date according to family. the families did not specifically confirm the identities of t the deceased.

families confirm the identities to our affiliate in san antonio. she disappeared before she was scheduled to be induced. here is her grand mother. >> she was a good girl. she didn't deserve to go this way, especially with her baby. he was an innocent child. nobody deserved this. >> according to our affiliate soto's boyfriend matthew was on a probation for assaulting her last christmas, 2022. court records show he could have contact with her as long as it wasn't in any harmful manner. he was due in court january 9th. according to local police, the bodies were believed to be there for several days in the car. >> what we are looking at right now is a very, very perplexing crime scene. and detectives right now are looking at this as a possible murder. and but we don't know for sure. so, again, because of the complexity, the complex crime scene, we can't say for sure.

policies are to blame. national border patrol council president brandon judd joining us. brandon, let's go right to this meeting. now, it's going to be blinken, mayorkas, and the white house's sort of border national security adviser liz sherwood randal. but, if you were there, what would you say to obrador? what would be y your inyour insight? >> you used a phrase fools errand earlier. this is exactly what this is going to be. we are setting ourselves up for failure because we are expecting another country to fix our problems. they are never going to do it. it all comes down to inventive. dolls the mexican government have incentive to stop this illegal immigration taking place and they don't because they are generating billions of dollars for their own economy. so, if i were there, i would look at, you know, what is it that they could do to help us and why would they want to? but, my fear right now is that they are going to try to extract

concessions from us. whether that's monetary, whether that's easing sanctions on venezuela. there's a lot of the different things that the mexican government wants us to do. so they are going to try to extract those concessions for them to be true border security farther necessary. that doesn't help us. we have got to look at what the solutions are right here in the united states. we have those solutions. this administration just doesn't want to exercise their authority to stop this. >> griff: you know, brandon, it's interesting the leader of this caravan you are looking at luis we groff. he said to a reporter that's following it that this meeting, talking about blinken, mayorkas and obrador meeting will quote be between fools and fools who want to use women and children as trading pieces. we are not trading pieces. what mexico wants is money. and that's essentially what you are saying. >> yeah. and that's exactly what they want. they do want money. the mexican government wants to generate profit. they want their comeefl to succeed. if you look at the cartels. >> the cartels are generating

billions of dollars for the mexican economy so all of this chaos that we see that's hurting our country is helping the mexican government. and so that's the reason why they are not going to become true border security partners. i have to go back to the trump administration and look at what is it that they did right? and what they did was threatened tariffs that were greater than the amount of money that these cartels were able to bring in. and that's why mexico during the trump era was willing to actually step to the plate and do what was necessary to stop all of this illegal immigration through their own country. but, unless we're willing to give them something, they are not going to do anything. or unless we come from a position of power and that's what i don't think that blinken and mayorkas is going to do. i do not believe they are going to come with a big stick and tell them if you don't do something, we're going to start using our power to go back and force you to become true border security partners. there is no incentive for the mexican government to do

anything. >> griff: that's such an important point, brandon. the big stick is bringing back remain in mexico which migration don't like and that's why they stopped come and economic consequences on mexico for not doing anything about it. but, if the administration, if mayorkas and blinken are not willing to bring that big stick, what's the point of this meeting? >> there is no point. but, so, let me take that back. the point is the optics here in the united states. and the mainstream media. the mainstream media is always going to give them a pass as long as they show that they are trying to do something. but, in reality, again, let's go back to that phrase. it's a fools errand. this administration knows that by sending them down there, they are going to get the mainstream media to say look, they are doing something. they are doing something. when in reality nothing is going to change unless we force them to become true border security partners or unless this administration uses the authority that they have right now to secure the border on our

our next guest, retired air force brigadier general rob spalding led the security coordination during the 2007 iraq surge. he joins us now. general, thank you for being here with us. i look at this. i look at what is happening. we are talking 103 attacks. i think we in the intro talked about 100 bases being targeted in iraq, syria, and other places. are we at war? is the united states at war? we're having to shoot down antiship missiles. we have three service members. one is critically injured. seems to me we are at war whether we want to be or not. >> we really are and i think that's the -- you have to look at the service members that were recently injured by the attacks and realize that everybody that's in the region now, including whether on the ground or in the sea are coming under fire and you have to, you know, do the things that are needed to protect the folks that are there. i think the problem is we're not

going after the real issue here, which is iran. iran's leaders have started this war. and unfortunately we haven't acknowledged it and done anything about it to dissuade it. we will see acts continue. >> joey: general, we took all of our service members out of afghanistan. we did if a very odd way and really tragic way when you look at the lives lost. our president believed we didn't need service members, troops in afghanistan. why do we need 2500 service members in iraq? what is the mission there? why is that necessary? >> well, i guess, you know, witt the defense department would say they needed to be there to prevent any continuing attacks coming out of that region. unfortunately though, if we are not going to do the things that are needed to protect those service members, then we ought to bring them home. >> joey: you say they are there to prevent attacks. if they're the ones being attacked they are really there to be attacked unless we show there is some sort of recourse. what can we do? if iran is the problem. we have, you know, our second topic here, they are escalating

what they're doing with their weapons grade uranium. to them down a little bit. you have to take your uranium and it 235 to 90%. they are up to 60%. they are like 20% before this nuclear deal was -- the first jcpoa was introduced. 60%. 60 to 90 be that's a short leap. that's what iran we know they're doing that increase the rate from 3 dill low grams to 9 over the last six months i guess. so they are creating uranium potentially to be used for a nuclear weapon. that's the big problem, that's the big scare. they are also backing groups that are attacking u.s. service members. take nuclear weapons off the table. they are trying to kill us right now. what can we do as the american -- the department of defense or our administration, state department, what can we do to stop this? >> well, if you remember, back during the reagan administration, the libyans were

being provocative in much the same way. and, essentially, reagan sent aircraft into strike targets within libya and all of that went away. if you go back to during the trump administration, and the attack on general soleimani, iran quieted down pretty quickly. so you have to show them that you are serious and they have to feel threatened. i mean, the iranian leaders have to feel threatened. i think the other thing we have to consider if this uranium enrichment continues we are likely to see an attack from israel if not the united states. >> joey: it leaves me wondering what is stopping us from taking a larger action in iran if it's the trilateral relationship with russia and china, i don't think they would want them to have nuclear wednesday either it. leaves a lot of americans puzzled. that's for sure. brigadier general, thank you so much for joining us. thank you for your service. >> thank you. >> joey: all right. coming up, a potentially game changing comment for the millions of americans living

>> carley: almost half of american adults suffer from high blood pressure and for more than 30 million of them the condition is resistant to most traditional medical treatments. doctors are calling a new minimally invasive procedure a game changer for people with resistant hypertension. so will this be the future for all americans who suffer from high blood pressure? fox news medical contributor dr. janette nesheiwat joins us now. >> dr. nesheiwat, this sounds like really good news. tell us about this procedure. >> this is great news especially kicking offer the new year. carley, yes, about 120 million

americans suffer from elevated blood pressure. many of them are already on blood pressure medicines, maybe two or three blood pressure medicines. and sometimes it's just not enough or they forget to take their blood pressure medicines. so about 30 to 40% of patients aren't taking as doctors prescribe. so this new procedure called reasonable de, the nirves and kidneys being calmed down. what the doctors do is they go into the reasonable arteries and the arteries into your kidneys a and sort of zap and calm down the overactive nerves. when they zap those nerves overreactive that are responsible in part for the high blood pressure, then it can lead to a drop in blood pressure. now, it's not for everyone. so you have to make sure you are healthy, got good healthy kidney as and healthy blood vessels first. you have to obviously speak to your doctor to see what is best for you. >> carley: talk to your doctor first. what are there any side effect. >> potentially. one thing that could happen -- and it's rare -- you could have

damage to the blood vessels as you are doing this procedure. doctor also usually go in through the wrist through the blood vessels into the wrist or the groin. the purpose is because high blood pressure or what we call hypertension is known as the silent killer for many, many years you may not feel anything. and it's one of the issues, one of the medical complications that could lead to heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, those sorts of things. even kidney failure. so that's why it's so important that we try our best to get it under control. >> carley: so this is for people like you said with resistant hypertension. so people who have done a bunch of other things to get their blood pressure down and just can't. for people who may be able to get their blood pressure down in a less invasive way, what should those folk does? >> that's a good question. i'm all about conservative measures first. for most people, it's take your medicine as your doctor prescribes, again, many people, about 25% have uncontrolled or their blood pressure is under controlled. everyone else there is a little

bit extra that we can do. so i always tell my patients when they come in and i see -- i look on the wall and see that blood pressure is elevated i say hey, we need to watch our salt intake. make sure you are not smoking or vaping. make sure you are not drinking too much alcohol. then i talk to them about activity and very important, also, their stress levels. all these things together can raise your blood pressure. if you can make these minor changes, then can you drop your blood pressure and maybe not need to be on any blood pressure medicines at all. >> carley: i do like what you said this could be good for people who forget to take their medication. if you have high blood pressure and older person who struggles to remember to take the medicine this sounds like a possible solution for them. >> this is possible. also remember it is meant to be an add on and adjunct. not necessarily you do this procedure and you won't have to take any other blood pressure medicines. it's possible for some people. it is still new. it is still in experimental phases even though it was recently fda approved. they just did it for the first time here in a local hospital

something we need to talk about. it is this growing trend i had not heard of before a couple weeks ago. it was initially, joey, targeting mostly i was reading up on it jewish owned businesses, especially in new york city. now it has spread to targeting politicians. that he was the mayor of boston. it's called swatting. she just was a victim of a swatting. what happens is unidentified person calls the police station and they say that something bad happened. a bomb threat, a shooting, so there is this huge police force that comes to your home or a swat team comes to your home, hence the name, and i think will there are several reasons why people do this. although it's kind of unclear. i think it's supposed to scare you. supposed to drain police resources. so michelle woo was the latest victim. there was also marjorie taylor greene this happened to her on christmas for the eighth time. imagine the police resources drained there also congressman brandon williams as well.

>> joey: this has been happening for years. it's a tactic because it's taking advantage of our emergency response system. you can call 911 and say hey, there is a shooting or active shooter or someone has been stabbed or there is someone that's broken into this house sand holding them hostage. they call 911 anonymously. give address and say an emergency is happening there that involves a violent act or actor. when police show up they are in offer posture not a defensive posture. they don't show up making sure they protect themselves and see what is happening. they somehow up, guns at the ready, looking for potentially an active shooter or someone that's holding people hostage. and so what makes this violent is when police are already in that state of mind, they believe someone is there to do harm, you know, i was saying kind of jokingly but it's true. i will put a gun, a rifle on my kitchen table to mount a scope on it. and what if the police showed up and surrounded my house and all they see is a gun in my hand. i might be shot before i have a chance to tell them who i am or

what i'm too long. when do you this to an innocent people. when you call basically like a prank call it's called swatted. you are sending a swat team there to save lives and take out bad guys to an innocent person's house. it's happened for years in different ways. but now starting to be targeted toward political folks. >> griff: it happened on christmas day. a member of congress, brandon williams speaking out about what happened to him. listen here. >> i got a call that i didn't recognize the number and it went to voice mail. and just reflexively i looked at it and said it's the sheriff. their office, we're on our way to your house for a shooting incident. and i called them back and i said hey, everything is cool here. but i stepped outside to greet them outside. just think of it through the eyes of a police officer you see on the screen of them coming into heavy in noah high house. ththey don't know what they're facing.
