>> big happy. it is a big, big happy year for america, a big, happy year for jesse watters, prime time. it is a big year for you, paula. thank you for joining us. >> my pleasure. thank you so much for asking me. >> we're going to take this to the bank, shall we? >> absolutely. people do. there is a gorgeous vacation photo of gigi waters. look at this little treat. she is now crawling. she is almost doing a three-point stance. this little, delicious creature, peed on me during oi plane ride from florida. then, she spit up on me. dvr jesse watters, prime time. always remember, i'm waters and this is my world.
6:01 pm
>> sean: welcome to hannity and happy new year and happy election year. the exodus out of big states like new jersey, california, illinois, new york, it continues. in fact, tonight, we are broadcasting from my new home, the great free state of florida. like so many americans, i left new york for good and now am in the state with warmer weather, law and order, better education, more freedom, better quality of life and no state income tax. now, here is my prediction. this mass migration out of deep, blue states like the ones i just mentioned, that will continue unless and until they change their governing philosophies that are overtaxing people, overregulating people. they are underperforming at schools and safety and issues of public importance. that's why it is happening. no matter what state you call home, i will say this, 2024 is going to be a critical year, not only for our country but for the
6:02 pm
world, as anyone who has lived in new york will tell you. elections have consequences. in just 11 short months, and they will fly by, you, the american people, you will determine the future of our country and, frankly, the trajectory of the world. now, no one can predict the outcome. i can tell you what the next year will look like. by the way, anyone who does predict the outcome, they don't know what they are talking about. it is too unpredictable. probably the most unpredictable precedential year in our life times. democrats, the media mob, they will work in unison. they will be on a never-ending, non-stop smear campaign, regardless of the republican candidate. they will obsessively focus on donald trump, donald trump, donald trump. january 6th, january 6th, and, of course, abortion. they don't want to talk about joe biden's accomplishments. why? because there really aren't any. they won't defend biden's
6:03 pm
radical agenda because it has resulted in one national disaster after another. you can see it. they don't want to talk about bi bidennomics. the american people are getting wrecked by job's economy, inflation, high interest rates. they don't want to talk about biden's performance on the world stage. the president has been bullied over and over and over again by our top geopolitical foes as joe has abdi kated america's role. we see china starting an invasion of taiwan, while harassing our military in the pacific in international airways and waterways, spying on our nuclear sites here in the united states with a slow-moving spy balloon that they knew all about on top of all the intellectual property theft, all of the
6:04 pm
unfair trad practices. we see war in european as russia invaded ukraine and war continues there and there is no end in sight. biden has utterly failed to deter one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history. we have iran, the number one state sponsor of terror, enriching uranium at the fastest pace ever to attack americans and our allies all over the region. we have war in the middle east, u.s. troops, 118 specific tacks including five in the new year. the huthi rebels, they are using fishing boats and rifles to wreak havoc on important shipping channels while joe biden does little to nothing to respond. our southern border, worse than ever. we have a lot more on that.
6:05 pm
crime is spiraling out of control in many major american cities and some small towns. to put that special cherry on top, yeah, tax collection is now at an all-time high. with the extra two plus trillion dollars, biden added to the debt last year, we started this fiscal year in october with the national debt now more than $34 trillion. that is a record. i don't know how we pay that back. make no mistake, joe biden is your president, has been and continues to be an abject failure at home and abroad. don't expect to see much of joe in the leadup to november. he will campaign probably less than any other candidate in modern history. if donald trump or any republican is the candidate, i doubt he will show up for one debate. he will lurk in the shadows, hide in the basement, hide on the beach in delaware while the media mob does all the heavy lifting for him.
6:06 pm
it is not clear joe can do the lifting at all. most basic conversations are really difficult for your commander-in-chief. here is the latest and greatest. take a look. >> mr. president, what sort of holiday foods have you been en enjoying? >> a lot of chicken, chicken parmesan. >> and ice-cream. >> and chocolate chip ice-cream. >> what's your new year's resolution? >> anything else? >> that's the biggest one. >> joe biden's cognitive ability is not good, anybody with eyes to see, you can see it. every week it gets worse and it is getting worse by the day. biden is also dealing with very real and serious corruption and bribery allegations along with a very real impeachment inquiry. his image as a loving father and
6:07 pm
grandfather, that is forever shattered and tarnished of his disgusting treatment of his own 4-year-old granddaughter in arkansas. there are endless reasons to like joe biden both politically and personally and now according to gallup, his year-end approval rating is now lower than any other first-term president in modern history going into a, quote, re-election year. he is losing support monkey demographics, a big part of what is the democratic coalition, that which propelled him to victory in 202. look at "usa today" suffolk university poll. only 63% of african-american voters support joe biden. that's down from 87% he was receive ng 2020. he trails trump among his stanic voters by five points after winning a majority in 2020.
6:08 pm
biden is down four points with another key constituency among the democratic base. voters under 35. a usually very reliable democratic voting bloc. if these numbers hold, joe biden, if he is their candidate for re-election, he would lose today in a landslide. a lot can happen between now around november. let's be very clear. let me start this year with a warning to conservatives and republicans. if you want any chance of winning in november, you need to do a couple of fundamental basic things. one, any conservative, any republican, any voter that has any reluctance or any resistance to voting by mail and voting early, you have to get over that. you just can't start out these races on election night down by hundreds of thousands of votes and depend on people voting day of to make it up. also, many states that allow legal ballot harvesting, key word, legal, and republicans,
6:09 pm
they need to start matching the very, very well-organized democratic party efforts that would be critical. gop organizers in every state need to do it, especially the swing state. they have to adopt a robust operation that basically puts them on a level playing field and working within the system, not the one you want them. it is not the one i want. i want day of voting day to be a national holiday and i want babe balance lots. that's not going to happen. i want vot ter i.d. and partisan observers watching the voting all day and all night. in a perfect world, that would be what happens. that is not our reality. republicans, you have to deal with the system, the hand you dealt, not the one you wish you had. my last piece of advice is on the controversial issue of abortion, not my moral point of view. first, leave abortion to the states. that's what roe v. wade did.
6:10 pm
that is more constitutional. if you want to put restricted bans on abortions. doug mastriano running for governor in pennsylvania, he lost by a margin of 16 points. that had not been seen in pennsylvania history since the 1940s against a non-incumbent opponent. you will pay a heavy political price. you will have no ability to stop late-term abortions that many democrats support. you can get the high ground on the issue. look at ohio. that is a state that donald trump won twice by a very comfortable margin. voters overwhelmingly approved a measure to make abortion a constitutional right in the red state. gop candidates, be smart about this. in eleven months, you have a prime opportunity to regain power in d.c. and get our country back on track before it is too late.
6:11 pm
here now with more. south dakota government, kristi gnome, is with us. great to have you back. happy new year. >> happy new year, sean. you are in florida, a beautiful state. the news is still bad. we still have joe biden as our president and the country is in trouble. i'm in iowa having conversations about critical issues you were just discussing. >> let's talk about what i am say being reluctance and resistance to voting early and voting by mail. that's not the system i want. i don't think it is the system that has the most integrity that would give us the most confidence in results. however, it is the system we are living with. it will be the system in 2024. do you agree with me that conservatives an republicans need to get over reluck tans and resistance towards early voting and vote big mail? >> absolutely. if it is your state law, you need to use the law to get victorious and get the right man
6:12 pm
in the white house and fix the problems in this country. we've see what secretary of states will do. look what happened where the secretary of states, the chief election officers, broke the constitution to remove donald trump off the ballot an another one spoke out in support of her. the democrats will do anything to win. they don't care about the constitution. they don't care about law and order. they don't care about our election laws. we do. we have integrity. we are going to use this system to our highest performance level and run it with excellence so we can win. >> let me talk about the issue of abortion. i am not asking you about your own personal view. i happen to be pro life and believe in the sanctity of life. i donate to a group, preborn.com. i believe in their mission. they use the science of 4-d ultrasounds to give them free ultrasounds to choose life. on the political side, where do you stand politically? i believe politically, probably, the country, poll after poll
6:13 pm
that i read is probably a first trimester, 15 weeks, which was the dobb decision. nobody that says they are pro-choice supports late-term abortion, which many democrats do. what is your position there? >> what bothers me, sean, is that people aren't having these conversations. they are not talking about it and avoiding it. this causes the public not to trust them. at the federal level, that's where the public is landing. us, as leaders, we don't get to be dictators. we follow the public and public opinion. i get to have personal views and advocate for policies. at the end of the day, the voters decide and decide what the laws are. that's one of the things that we as conservatives mess up so often. we don't have the conversations. we talk like crazy people and never get the chance to actually govern. we need to be a little smarter and wiser in how we have these conversations and let people know we care about these
6:14 pm
families, we care about mothers, we care about their health. in south dakota, we have started a website that is all about how we can come alongside and support women in these situations that are unplanned. >> any other advice you would offer unprompted by me? >> i think americans need to start sitting down and having conversations. conservatives can't shy away from these issues. that's what i think they are having lots of different debates. roe v. wade changed everything. put the conversation at the state level. my state law looks very different than what is in place in florida or illinois or any other state. if there is a decision that's made at the congressional level, the public will be weighing in on this election cycle. that is what the leaders will follow. >> governor nome, great to see you. you have thousands that are
6:15 pm
incentivizing to go to south dakota. that's a tribute to you. even people that get an apprenticeship are making $80,000 a year by moving to your state. that's a great program. >> it is fantastic. >> thank you, governor. >> according to a new poll, many americans seem stunned by the president's lack of action overseas as american troops are targeted. they sunk three baby huthi red boats in the sea. the commander-in-chief has done little to command this aggression. iran is sending a warship to the region. china's dictator after the meeting in california threatened what he called reunification of taiwan. we would call it an i visualization. the biden while house doesn't seem to care. now, war in the middle east. my sources tell me joe biden is saying one thing publicly about
6:16 pm
israel and different things privately. here with analysis, fox news contributor and former secretary of state, mike pompeo. i look at the situation, this new access of evil, china, russia, iran, as probably the biggest threat since the cold war. i think they are more emboldened than ever based on their actions. what do you see? >> sean, first of all, happy new year. i think your analysis is exactly right. what we saw happen on october 7th, happen in afghanistan where 13 americans were killed, these things are connected by dictators and authoritarian regimes that do not fear the united states of america. president biden has allowed a decay of deterrence, has done the american people a disservice. it is dangerous, not only for the israelis and folks in the middle east and for folks in the united states of america as
6:17 pm
well. a wide-open southern border and a north korean and chinese and russian leader that don't think the united states will stand up and defend its most sacred values is a very dangerous place. >> when president shi recently spoke with reunification with taiwan, he said it before, it feels more real to me, because in, in fact, that is his geopolitical ambition, it is going to happen while biden is president. that means he has at least -- they have in their mind about a year to get it done. i predict that's probably going to happen. i hope i'm wrong. i think i am going to be proven right. >> sean, i hope you are wrong too. it is not an independent thought. we have the capacity to deter x
6:18 pm
i gee ping. we need to make clear that we are not going to allow him to steal our property and run spy rings and spy balloons against the united states on our own soil and let him take over an independent and free taiwan by force in the pacific. it will be a very dangerous thing for all of us, whether that's the hawaiian islands, alaska, guam. when you see what he is doing in taiwan, his intentions aren't limited to what he calls the reunification, you properly described as the takeover of taiwan. >> what do you make of the advancement of the iranian nuclear program? they are sending a warship to basically seemingly help out the huthi rebels and they have been using them to fight a proxy war against saudi arabia.
6:19 pm
they are firing missiles into the area. is that not a bold move by the iranians to send that warship there? >> remember, the history of this administration, they have embolden the regime, provided them $6 million in exchange for six american hostages. we released that $6 billion. this is all iranian driven. the israelis have at least a three-front, maybe as many as a five-front war underway today. it is not something in the future or might happen if there is an escalation. if we don't impose real costs on the iranian regime, we coming up on the fouth anniversary of when we took out soleimani. if we keep taking out dingies and firing at empty warehouse, the iranians will feel emboldened and empowered and they will attack middle eastern
6:20 pm
countries and i fear the homeland as well. >> did you ever think you would see this much anti-semitism in the halls of congress and universities, at the site of the world trade center? that day, we lost 2,977 americans. they were shouting gas the jews. you see anti-semitism rampant across europe. it is beyond disturbing. how do you analyze it? >> i never thought i would see this volume and depth of activity. i never thought i would see our central institutions, whether that's the united nations or our universities fail to understand, this is black and white, good versus evil, to allow anti-semitism to run rampant and not to do anything about it is morally indecent. i never thought i would see
6:21 pm
that. i regret it. i hope american will find its way back. i am confident we will. it is going to take real american leadership. this is just unacceptable. >> we do need people like you, adults like you back in charge. i hope you are not busy in about a year or so. i think there is a big job waiting for you somewhere. secretary pompeo, happy new year, sir. coming up, harvard president, claudine gay has stepped down. alyse stepanic kind of made it happen. where does trump stand with attempts to throw him off the ballot. we'll check in with senator ted cruz straight ahead.
6:22 pm

6:26 pm
president, claudine gae announced her retirement. after a month of a disastrous testimony of anti-semitism. she made the announcement in a pretty bitter letter she shared with students and colleagues. no shock to me. it should be shocking. she refused to apologize for all the disasters leading up to her resignation. no apology for her vile testimony before congress on anti-semitism or the allegations of rampant plagiarism throughout her academic career but resorted to the left's favorite talking point, get used to it. you will hear it all year long. she played the race card. congresswoman alyse stepanic called this resignation long overdue. congresswoman, stepanic joins us now.
6:27 pm
you ex poised something. it was a moment you don't see often in congress, three college presidents, three of the most prestigious universities that gave the most appalling answer when you were asking a question about anti-semitism. i am surprised it took the charge of plagiarism to make this happen. what is your take? >> my take is there is a reason that the testimony of the presidents of harvard, penn, and mit made history as the most viewed testimony ever with over 1 million views. their testimony was morally bankrupt and pathetic. my question was a moral question. does calling for the genocide of jews ruin your school's code of conduct? does it go against your school's code of conduct? >> every single one said it depended on the context. we know it doesn't. it should be condemned. all three failed abyssmally and
6:28 pm
the world saw it. it is unacceptable that it took harvard a month to demand the resignation of claudine gay. penn made the right decision immediately after it was forced in front of the world to see. i believe niece university presidents sit atop these institution that is have rotted out and have institutionalized anti-semitism particularly after hamas' terrorist attack against hamas. we have seen jewish students physically harassed and facing vile attacks every single day. >> sean: if it didn't violate the code of conduct and it depends on conduct, would they apply that standard and answered it the same way if it was clearly something said that was racist, masagonist, xenophobe
6:29 pm
bic. i suspect the answer is no? >> they would not have. that's why it was so pathetic and so clear for hoefrn saw that, how wrong that testimony was. i will tell you what you can't see in the video, viewed 1 billion times, there were jewish students from each of those universities at that congressional hearing. as i was listening to their responses to my questions, you could see the jewish students shaking, abyssmal lack of moral leadership. you have seen the shredding of academic integrity in harvard's case. claudine gay was a planlgerist president. i say this as a harvard graduate. i graduated from undergrad with honors. students, if you plagiarize, you
6:30 pm
are expelled. >> congresswoman, take a bow. that was one of the best moments i have ever witnessed in terms of a congressman or woman out there being able to able to literally stump college university presidents on what was a layup question. two down, one to go. they deserve to get fired. thanks for being with us. >> former president trump said he is appealing maine's secretary of state opinion to ban him from the ballot. they have repealed his ballot disqualification in their state. here with reaction, ted cruz. you are a harvard grad. i don't know how you feel about claudine gay. let me ask you this. i always believed in the presumption of innocence. you were innocent until proven guilty. i don't even know if you are going to use the fourteenth amendment to keep trump off the
6:31 pm
ballot. has he ever been accused of insurrection in any of the cases that have been brought against him. i don't recall seeing that. >> in no case in a court of law. he is accused of insurrection every day by democrats on twitter and media pundits. insurrection is a formal crime defined in the united states code. even jack smith, the wild-eyed partisan who is like gentleman var going after john vel john in les mis. even smith did not bring a charge of insurrection. the evidence doesn't remotely support it. as you know, i do a podcast three days a week, verdict with ted cruz. yesterday's podcast was entirely on the colorado decision and the main decisions. they are utterly unsupportable, utterly lawless. my prediction is the u.s.
6:32 pm
supreme court will take the colorado case and reverse it. there is a real chance the supreme court will reverse it unanimously. it really does reveal the lion the left, the favorite phrase, the favorite slogan of democrats today, we are saving democracy. nothing saves democracy like trying to stop the voters from voting for your opponents. these cases show what utter hypocrites today's democrats are. >> it seems to me whether the supreme court wants to or not, that they are going to have to get involved in a number of issues involving this election. >> yes. >> i know they did not go along with jack smith's arguments in terms of expediting the ruling that should go to the appellate court in terms of precedential immunity. they are going to have to weigh in on something like this. i can see a number of cases where they are not going to have a choice. do you see the same? >> perhaps. i think the one they will
6:33 pm
inevitably take is the colorado case. that goes to the heart of, can you have judges preventing the voters from voting for one of the major two parties nominees assuming donald trump is the nominee. colorado, they are trying to take him off the primary ballot. i don't think the supreme court. i think they are going to reverse that quite easily. i think that decision is utterly lawless. the main decision is even more laughable. more and more we see in courts, at the department of justice, among elected democrats, we see in the corporate media, they are motivated by this overwhelming hatred of donald trump an they are corrupt. i will point out, this is also intertwined, you were mentioning claudine gay re-ssigning from harvard. she was a symptom of our elite academic institution vs. been
6:34 pm
thoroughly corrupted by cultural marksism. you look at the testimony of the presidents of penn, harvard, and mit. the president of penn has resigned. the president of harvard has resigned. the president of mit needs to re resign. our universities are so embracing cultural marksism and divides everyone into victims and oppress sores. anything is justified on behalf of the tickets against the oppress sores, why they can't stand up to anti-semitism. they view donald trump as an oppressor. that's why they justify anything to go after him. >> sean: i am not so sure had the plagiarism issue not followed up to the horrific answer that alyse stefanic was able to get out of these three presidents, i'm not sure she would be gone today. where i think the issue of her appalling comment on
6:35 pm
anti-semitism should have been enough to get any college president fired. >> well, the double standard on plagiarism was really galling, as alyse mentioned a minute ago. if you are a student at harvard, and you are guilty of plagiarism, you will be expelled. claudine gay had nearly 30 instances. she is still expected to receive her $1 million a year salary, even though she has some 50 instances of credible allegations of plagiarizing. nowhere in her resignation letter is a word of apology or acknowledging what she did wrong. nowhere in harvard corporation statement is any acknowledgment of the willingness of the university to tolerate anti-semitism. i have a number of very close friends who have kids in college and who are jewish, who tell me their children are frightened for their safety, because the
6:36 pm
universities when given a choice between pro-hamas protesters and their jewish students, the university administrators side with the pro-hamas protesters even if it endangers the safety of the jewish students. it is utterly indefensible. they are not apologizing for any of it. much of this was driven by donors who in harvard's case rescinded roughly $1 billion of contributions and why mit is willing to hold out when penn and harvard finally did the right thing. >> senator, great to see you. happy new year to you, sir. glad to have you as always. shocking new record. not a record you should be proud of. we have the day. sarah carter speaking with chicago residents about their growing crisis thanks to joe biden. steven miller will join us as we
6:39 pm
we're traveling all across america talking to people about their hearts. - how's the heart? - good. - you sure? - i think so. how do you know? let me show you something. put two fingers right on those pads. look at that. that's your heart. that is pretty awesome. with kardiamobile, you can take a medical grade ekg in just 30 seconds from anywhere. kardiamobile is proven to detect atrial fibrillation, one of the leading causes of stroke. for a limited time, kardiamobile is available for just $74. hurry, these prices won't last. get kardiamobile today at kardia.com or amazon.
6:41 pm
joe biden's border crisis continues to set more records. get this, border patrol now found over 300,000 illegal immigrants trying to cross in december alone. that is a new monthly record. since biden took office, the total number of encounters is 6.7 million illegal immigrants with an additional 1.7 million, known as, quote, got aways. those are the got aways that we know about. that's a total of 8.3 million people. he is not controlling our borders. he is not enforcing our laws. he is not respecting our sovereignty. most of these people are
6:42 pm
unvetted, rewarded for law-breaking with free travel, healthcare, education for their kids. this crisis is a major, major national security threat, a clear and present danger. we have hundreds of illegals coming from iran, syria, egypt, thousands from egypt and afghanistan, tens of thousands from russia and china, all come ago cross our southern border. now, california announcing as of the new year, passing a law they have not only become a sanctuary state but a haven for illegal immigrants. 700,000 now in the state are eligible for free -- california tax-funded healthcare. a cost of at least $3 billion every year. happy new year, california, your insanely high taxes just got higher. this is crushing. what we have now is an influx of so-called asylum seekers, all told what to say, destroying
6:43 pm
communities around the country, putting an unfair financial burden on people and taking jobs from the american people. the city of chicago is one such place. our very own sarah carter went there today speaking with local residents who have watched their beloved neighborhood park turned into a crime scene. >> you come out here. they pee on my truck, smoke weed across the street. i have seen a guy deliver the weed to them. >> they are smoking weed, drinking, littering. it is -- they play loud music until 11:00, 11:30 at night. i have to call the police to get them to stop. >> they literally walk across the street to park. not no more. you go over there. you find condoms on the floor, see them smoking there. basically, the neighborhood we used to know and love is no longer here. >> i will simply say, that fieldhouse should be for the kids, turned into a youth center, a safe place where kids can go instead of the complete
6:44 pm
opposite. >> i don't know if you come over here seeking asylum and you don't have a job but you are smoking weed, drinking, whistling at all the women that go by, cat calling them. that's what they were doing. they had horns and they were honking at people going by. it doesn't seem to me they are very respectful. >> joining us with more, sarah carter along with president trump's former senior adviser, steven miller, is with us. sarah, let me start with you. we are seeing parks taken away from communities. that's a big deal. the cost of educating the children of illegal immigrants, that's putting a burden on our educational system. we have a burden on our healthcare system. our hospitals won't turn people away. that's not my biggest concern. if you are coming from afghanistan, egypt, iran, syria, china, and russia, why do i
6:45 pm
suspect among those that maybe want a better life for their families, there are groups of people that have other ideas, nefarious intentions for our country. >> you are absolutely right, sean. one of the biggest issues we are facing right now is that national security crisis. it is the weapon i zation of migration. western intelligence officials i speak with in central and south america and across the globe are saying, look, this pipeline is being used by nefarious actors and also by our adversaries like china and iran. iran supplied hamas with the money and training to target israel. iran is also actively involved in central and south america. that pipeline coming into the united states is being utilized by everyone. to put matters into perspective
6:46 pm
so that people can understand this, when people come into the united states, it is impossible to vet them if they are from countries like syria, like afghanistan, like china. why? because those governments do not cooperate with us. when you look at a city like chicago, a microcosm of what we are seeing across the united states, it is the people of chicago that are going to be paying the price. look, the residents told me, we don't know who these people are. they are smoking pot, committing crimes. there was a venezuelan migrant in front of the shelter near gauge park that on december 23rd lost his life when he was targeted. our intelligence agencies are looking into more and more. >> sean: a huge burden
6:47 pm
financialle will i. do you agree with me, i would say it is a 100% certainty that among these people coming from countries, our top geopolitical foes, that they are probably bringing in terror cells to plot, plan, scheme an october 7th, a 9/11 or whatever, against the american people. why would we put ourselves in that type of -- why would we burden ourselves with that type of risk? >> joe biden is waging war against america's national security. every foreign enemy and adversary in the world knows and understands that joe biden has a policy of open resettlement on the border. turn yourself in, get resettled. if you are worried about that, you could be one of the million got aways. you are going to be released or slip right on through along with millions of others.
6:48 pm
anyone who wants to hurt america, knows this, understands it and can freely exploit it. how many foreign spies, that could have been stopped, committing espionage, stealing our secrets, feeding information to our foes, have come through that border over the last three years, among the nearly 10 million that have invaded into our society. this is a national security catastrophe, sean. >> it really is. a preventible one. >> i support immigration, legal immigration. you have to vet people and make sure that they don't have radical associations and make sure in the middle of a pandemic, you might want a health check. maybe you ought to insure they can take care of themselves financially when they get here. steven miller, sarah, great report. happy new year to both of you. jeffrey epstein court documents are set to be unsealed. we thought we were getting them
