former president donald trump canceling three out of four in-person events weekend due to the freezing cold weather and blizzard warnings, opting for virtual rallies instead. welcome to "fox news live," i'm griff jenkins. joey: i'm jacqui heinrich. this is all happening as ron desantis and nikki haley continue duking it out for their battle for a distant second place. we have fox team coverage, we will start with grady trimble who's braving the weather there in des moines. hey, grady. >> reporter: hey, jackie. former president trump was supposed to have a busy weekend here in iowa, but as griff noted, he canceled a few of his events. one of them though is still on for tomorrow. all of the campaigns kind of scrambling because of this cold and snowy weather we've been experiencing. take a look at the latest polling here in iowa. it shows the former president with a commanding lead.

former south carolina governor nikki haley gaining some ground but still way behind trump. at his most recent campaign event here in iowa, trump went after his competitors in the gop race, but he also signaled that he's setting his sights on november. >> we don't love the job that ron desanctimonious has done or nikki haley or even worse when you look at -- and this is the one that we just cannot play games, we have got to get rid of crooked jo biden. joe biden. >> reporter: in a message to iowans posted on truth social last night, the former president urged his supporters to show up no matter the weather on caucus day. temperatures already low are going to plunge even further from here, it's possible they don't get above 0 degrees on monday. the trump campaign is trying to recruit first-time caucus goers. he also leads the pack in small dollar donations. other campaigns are going after

former president trump for not being here in iowa while the other candidates are, but it's clear that his support in iowa is strong. now he's just trying to get out the vote is, get caucus goers to their caucus places on monday. now i'm going to send it over to my colleague aishah hasnie who is smarter than i reporting from inside today. [laughter] >> reporter: that's right, grady, thank you very much. we are at smitty's, a very popular spot to talk politics and eat lunch, and you can see behind me people are here, so they're braving the weather. they're getting out, they're grabbing lunch and talking politics. now let's talk former governor nikki haley. she is physically back on the trail out there in cedar falls earlier this morning, now headed to iowa city. she had to replace all her in-person events yesterday, guys, to telephone town halls instead because of the dang weather. haley is surging in iowa though, second now in that suffolk if university poll grady just mentioned, about 8 points ahead of governor ron desantis.

here's haley talking about that today to try to work up some more votes. >> you can see our numbers going up in the polls. americans just want to see if it's possible, and you're going to set the tone. this starts with iowa. y'all know how to do this. you take this responsibly. >> reporter: so the campaign and the pro-haley superpacs are flooding the airwaves here in iowa, spending the most now on ads in iowa, that's according to ad impacts, and we'll see if it has any effect monday night. now i'm going to toss it to my friend bill me lieu gin who is out there braving the cold for more on what team desantis is up up to today. hi, bill. >> reporter: hey, aishah. governor desantis had to cancel one event already because of the weather, but he just wrapped up an event in council bluff withs a short time ago. take a look, this from earlier this morning in council bluffs despite the weather deciding to host that event.

look, governor desantis has been trailing in the polls, currently number three behind both trump and nikki haley, but he is telling his supporters he is the right man at the right time, and he has a beaten the left at every turn. take a listen. >> if you look at the problems of this country whether it's open borders, whether it's overspending, whether it's crime, whether it's some of the problems we've had internationally, whether it's education, whether it's woke ideology, the people responsible for that on the lefting or i'm the only one running that that has beaten these people time and time again. and more often than not the democrats and the left just eat their lunch on issue after issue. >> reporter: and desantis says those polls that show him trailing really can't be trusted because this is a caucus system, and then you're throwing another wrench into it monday night with these extreme temperatures. nobody knows what the turnout is going to be like. he says he's going to lean on his ground game, he's visited all 99 counties, he's got the

endorsement of the popular republican governor kim reynolds, and his superpac says they've knocked on more than 3 million doors in early states. his sporters say they are disturb supporters say her ready for a president desantis, take a listen. >> the country is divided, and we need less division in the country. somehow he did that in florida, and hopefully, he can do do the same thing nationally. >> reporter: and the desantis campaign confirmed to fox news that immediately after the iowa a caucuses are over on monday, he is going to get e on a flight on tuesday and go to south carolina instead of immediately going to new hampshire. he's going to be in south carolina to have a campaign event in greenville, then he's going to fly to new hampshire where he will campaign in new hampshire. it sounds complicated, but at the end of the day, he tells us the message is he's going to south carolina first because he wants to send a message to nikki haley that he intends to beat her in her own state, then he'll go to new hampshire. back to you. gigi all right, guys, try to

[laughter] >> that's ridiculous. look, it is cold in iowa, but

iowans are tough, and there are no more enthusiastic candidates than those for president trump. we see them line up at his rallies in the wee hours of the morning, waiting in the cold, and if you live in iowa, it is so important that you do get out and caucus on monday and make your voice heard. let's turn the page away from these establishment candidates like nikki haley and ron desantis. in the past week alone, nikki haley said that illegal immigrants are not criminals, and ron desantis was lying like a democrat on cnn about president trump's record on the border. more importantly than nikki haley and ron desantis is joe biden. he can hardly speak. our secretary of defense, lloyd austin, and he just launched airstrikes against houthi rebels in the middle east. joe biden's weakness is leading us into with world war iii. we have a wide open border that is being invaded every single day, and our economy is increasingly unaffordable for americans. we are confident that iowans will get outs on monday, and then i'll come to new hampshire

which will propel him to the nomination. >> pete, i'm sure you have a lot of things to say to that, but i want to begin with a question about this news about ron desantis, you know, going to south carolina first before heading to new hampshire. and if this comes after nikki haley has been pointing out that she's getting this surge in the polls that desantis who has been the number two for a very long time is not getting, your response to that. is this -- >> look. sure, i mean, i think it's a right strategy. there's no one tougher in this race than governor ron desantis. he has taken more negative ads against him than any other candidate including the former president combined. and he's still rock solid. i think he's going to do very, very well in iowa. but i love it. he's going to take it to nikki haley in south carolina. i mean, to quote governor christie the other night, ron desantis cleaned nikki haley's clock in the debate. he won every single debate that we've had so far. he's like the kobe bryant of

debaters, you know? all he does is win. and he's going to continue to do that. now, look, i actually agree with caroline, i think president trump is going to do really, really well in iowa. i mean, he's predicted that he's going to win by 40 points. i think he should expectation wise break 50%. i mean, after all, he's the former sitting president in his own party. yeah, and if he doesn't win by 40, there's probably a problem. and the same thing really with nikki haley. she's had $67 million of establishment and money come her way. if she is not a rock solid second, just a tick or two behind president trump, there's a real problem. but i think governor desantis is going to get one of those willy wonka golden tickets out of iowa and take it to nikki haley in south carolina. >> caroline, is it at all harming the trump campaign that he had to spend at lot of time in the courtroom this week? >> no, because the events that

president trump is holding in iowa a, people are more mire fired up than ever partially because of the fact that democrats are weaponizing our justice department against this man who fought for our country, who secured our border, who unleashed the might of our domestic energy. the lives of the american people were better under president trump than they are under joe biden, and it's infuriating to americans to see what's going on with this two-tier system of justice. and that's why it's laughable that pete just said no one is tougher than ron desantis. please, give us a break -- >> caroline -- [inaudible] >> donald trump is facing 90 indictments by the corrupt democrats that are baseless, he's face ifing witch hunts, he's faced lies and smears from the left, and he is still stepping in the arena to fight for the american people. >> but he didn't get the job done. >> pete, i want to ask you to respond to caroline because, you know -- [inaudible conversations] to caroline's point about, you know, weaponization of government and all of these investigations that he's facing, you know, i'll ask you, pete,

[laughter] what do you say to that? is. >> i can't speak to sammy the bull as a character witness, but i will tell you what is happening to president trump is downright criminal. it makes our country look like a baa man that republic. it is wrong, and understandably, there's a good amount of sympathy for president trump because of these witch hunts by the democrats. that a said, you know, when president trump was in office, we had really, really good policies, but with he didn't get the job done. and that's what ron ron desantis is actually going to do -- >> how? how? >> he's going to make sure our country is safe, our country remains open and we remain free.

president trump, you know, tried to solve covid by turning the country over to tony fauci and absolutely december rating -- desecrating our civil liberties. it was wrong. it was the wrong policy. it destroyed hundreds of thousands of small businesses and really harmed our children by keeping our schools closed. >> go ahead, caroline. >> it's ridiculous, pete. president trump accomplished more in four years finish. >> by -- [inaudible] fauci? >> i'll give you a few examples, and let me get to fauci. president trump built nearly 500 miles of border wall, we had the greatest economy, mortgage and interest rates hit a record low, and tom homan, the former director of i.c.e., said president trump did more to secure the board or than any president in american history. you want to talk about fauci? >> dehe did, but he didn't get the job done, caroline, look, i agree -- >> because the democrats came in and installed joe biden in the white house, and ron desantis -- [inaudible conversations] >> all right, all right. we've got to bring it back with.

we've got to bring it back in here, guys. very last word, you know, last topic. you had chris christie saying on a hot mic as he dropped out of the campaign that nikki haley's going to get smoked. do both of you agree with that? >> yes. she did in the debate, absolutely. look, she better come in second place with a bullet really close to president trump or there's a major problem. all of that open border and wall street money flooding in on her behalf, she better show something for it. >> and, caroline, last answer to you. how do you explain if she's going to get smoked this momentum that she seems to be building? >> nikki haley is an open border globalist. her campaign is funded by democrat donors. she said illegal immigrants are not criminals. she flip-flopped on the debate stage the other might about social security. she will will raise the retirement age on hard working senior ises. president trump promised that and he did it, but that's the truth. he protected social security, he secured the border, those are

for our tax money to be diverted to israel rather than the kind of money that they're spending there could be used to get people off the streets, to feed people, to provide universal health care. so at the very least, ceasefire and stop funding, end funding to israel. >> reporter: let's take a live look at the event stage. there have been some speeches. we do expect protesters, to hear from some presidential candidates on the left. cornel west and jill stein. palestinian flags are all over the place. there are also some signs mocking prime minister benjamin netanyahu and president joe biden. obviously, a lot of energy here, you can hear people saying that it's time for ceasefire in the middle east and, obviously, hoping that the united states will stop backing the israelis in that military conflict. this was also the location of a similar rally in november 4th, it was packed with people from all across the mud west coming

here to say they -- midwest coming here to say they wanted the u.s. to stop funding the military operation. that day the march ended at the white house when red paint hand marks were left on the gates of the white house. it's worth noting president biden is out of town, he's at camp david for the weekend, but there's certainly a lot of spirit here trying to send a message to official washington. griff? griff: and, mike, just a quick follow-up, you covered the november one, now you're in this one. how do they compare? >> reporter: you know, griff, it is really filling up at this hour, and we're seeing some people from some different places, people being bussed in by different groups from texas and florida, or wisconsin and minnesota. so people really investing a fair amount of time to come to washington to express their opinion on this conflict in the middle east. griff: all right. mike emmanuel right there in the middle of it keeping an eye on it for us, a thanks. >> coming up, why one of the

selloff with the rental car company blaming the decision on higher repair costs and ev deappreciation. madison car pinot is live with the latest -- scarpino has the latest updates. madison, this is very interesting. >> reporter: yeah, jackie. hertz is one of the largest rental car companies in the world, and it plans to take the money from selling these evs and put it towards more gas-powered vehicles to meet customer demand. and if you look at some teslas that are up for sale on hertz's web site right now, some are listed for as low as around $20,000. >> hertz in their filing seems the indicate that it comes down to money, to cost. evs cost a lot more to repair. those battery packs are extremely expensive to e place. >> reporter: back in 2021 hertz committed to buying 100,000 teslas to build up its ev fleet, but in 2022 and the beginning of

jeff swre this is a fox news alert. two u.s. navy sailors were reported missing off the coast of somalia thursday. search and rescue operations are ongoing. a u.s. official confirmed this is an isolated incident and not part of u.s. protection of the red sea in operation prosperity guardian. griff: meanwhile, the u.s. carrying out another airstrike on a houthi radar facility in yemen as a defense secretary lloyd austin remains hospitalized and the houthis vow a strong response. lucas tomlinson is live outside the white house following all of the developments. hey, lucas. >> reporter: griff, the defense secretary remains in the hospital for nearly two weekes now. today marked 13 days in the hospital, but that dud not stop u.s. forces from carrying out another strike against the iranian-backed proxy group in yemen, the houthis. the uss carney launching a salvo of tomahawk cruise missiles to finish destroying a radar site in yemen that was not completely

destroyed thursday night. president biden's been facing some criticism over why he has not listed the houthis as a terrorist group. if you recall when he took office, one of his first actions was to delist the houthis. he was asked about this yesterday in pennsylvania. >> it's irrelevant whether they're designated. we've put together a group of nations that are going to say if they continue to act and behave as they do, we'll respond. >> how are concerned are you on the strikes -- [inaudible] >> i'm very concerned. that's why we've got to 107 it -- stop it. >> reporter: griff, you interviewed morgan ortagus about biden's decision to put pressure on saudi arabia to end the war against the houthis and the u.s. cutting off arms shipments to saudi arabia. >> we told them that the war had to end. what happened? the houthis spent three years instead of the saudis continuing the go after them and do the work for us and go after the terrorists for us, we -- the biden administration spent the last three years letting the houthis build up their capabilities, and now you have a

nightmare scenario. >> reporter: and as was mentioned off the top, we are monitoring this situation off the coast of somalia, two u.s. navy sailors reported missing. we'll let you know if we receive an update. griff? griff: lucas tomlinson, thank you. jacqui: for more on this we are joined by democratic congresswoman from pennsylvania and member of the house armed services and intelligence committees, christy houlihan. congresswoman, thank you so much for being with us. appreciate your time. >> thanks for having me on again. jacqui: of course. i want to begin with what lucas mentioned, this whole discussion about the need for the u.s. to redesignate the houthis as a foreign terrorist organization. understanding the biden administration took them off that list as part of an effort to allow aid into yemen early in the administration, you now have a lot of pressure on the administration to redesignate the houthis, criticism that not doing that the harms our ability to respond. the president gave a little bit of a conflicting answer saying he thinks they are terrorists,

but it's irrelevant if they get redesignated. do you believe the administration should put that designation back on the ooh houthis? >> so i think that's a fair question and i think something that's worthy of conversation not just -- consideration not just by the administration, but also by the congress itself. i think what we've seen has been pretty alarming in terms of their aggressiveness against not just the united states, but against just trade in general in the red sea. and i think that the response of the administration, as he anticipated, kind of almost regardless has been the appropriate one. we've seen the houthis attack in the open sea million billion ships -- multiple ships that are civilian carrier withs that are doing nothing other than carrying goods from a to b. this part of the world accounts for something like 12-15 percent% of the goods that travel all over the world getting to the us and priming our economies, and it is, i think, absolutely appropriate in combination with our allies and many other nations who have

joined together to respond to the houthis' aggression. jacqui: and speaking of the u.s. response to the houthis, you've had pretty broad approval coming from congressional republicans over the president's response this past week. but we've had some criticism coming from democrats. your colleague, ro khanna, tweeted: the president needs to come to congress before launching a strike and involving us in another middle east conflict. that is article i of the constitution. i will stand up for that regardless of whether democrat or republican's in the white house. the white house say says that they were under full authorities to take this action and, moreover, gave a heads up to top congressional leaders. but do you agree with your colleague? >> i do not agree with mr. ro khanna, with all respect to him. article ii also allows for the president to exercise these kinds of attacks based on the fact that we are in defense mode. we have been attacked, as have many of our allies been

attacked. our civilian economy is being threatened. and i think it's fully appropriate for the president no matter who the president is to act in this way. he also has, as you indicated, come to congress and indicated that that was his response opinion and his reaction, and it is the responsibility of congress from this point forward to think about what that means in terms of longer term offensive actions. one thing that i'm frustrated by, frankly, is let's say that that that's true and that we need to, you know, think really hard about article i. this congress is so incredibly dysfunctional that i don't think we even have the opportunity to fund the government let alone think about our article i responsibilities. and that's why i get frustrated by the responses from both sides on this particular houthi attack. jacqui: speaking of dysfunction, and i'm bouncing to another topic, i realize, but we're coming up on a government funding deadline, and you've had threats to the speaker of the house from the far right of his party to vacate the chair if they, you know, bring another

c.r. or don't do these budget cuts and any number of complaints. and i've seen reporting that some moderate democrats are saying that they would this time save speaker johnson from a motion to vacate. where do you fall if on that? >> so i think it's an intriguing possibility. i think that speaker johnson now two out of three times has shown that he is able and willing to work across the aisle and in the better interests of the american people as a whole in things like suspension bills which is pretty wonky but, in fact, one way we might be able to avoid a continuing resolution. if he continues to demonstrate the fact that he's willing to work across the aisle, i think that will be interesting in terms of what would happen should the far right once again try to vacate the chair. that being said, speaker johnson has also anticipated that he is not willing to work with across the aisle -- [laughter] and so i'll be looking to see just what kind of a leader he is. he's a speaker for the entire house, all 435 of us, and i look forward to continuing to work

with him, continuing to work for the american people. jacqui: there's certainly a lot coming up just over the course of the next week that everyone's going to be watching very closely, so good luck with everything that's on your plate, congresswoman. thank you for coming on the show again. really appreciate your time. >> thank you for having me. griff: for more on the u.s. strikes on the houthis and the possibility of this government shutdown talk, we're joined now by republican congressman from texas and member of the house armed services and oversight committees pat fallon. congressman, i want to get to the houthis, that's the top story, but just picking up with where your colleague left off, congresswoman houlihan, what do you make of this prospect of speaker johnson being imperilled? i want to play just a quick sound bite of chip roy, your republican colleague. he seems to suggest that perhaps what happened to kevin mccarthy could be in line for mike johnson. listen here. >> -- refuse to honor the caps that we embraced last year.

they are fine with all the side deals and the gimmicks. again, that destroyed kevin mccarthy's speakership, it's going to destroy mike johnson's speakership if he continues to allow the warmongers, the war hawks to continue to rack up debt for the american -- griff: do you agree that your speaker is possibly in danger of getting dragged out like we saw mccarthy on this and even possibly headed for a government shutdown? >> well, griff, here's the odd thing, i don't necessarily disagree with the fact that we have to cut the best deals possible, we have to get our fiscal house in order and we need to secure the border or the government might have to shut down. that's number one. number two, but i couldn't disagree more with chip roy's approach about, you know, doing another call on the chair. if he does another call on the chair of mike johnson, i think it's going to troy the republicans' chances to maintain the majority in november moving toward into the next -- forward into the next congress. it's the worst possible move, and i'd like to say vacate their

seat, quite frankly. griff: it's going to be interesting to watch. the end of next week is when that deadline comes. let's shift to the top story, and is that is another strike on the iran-backed houthis in yemen. what is your assessment of how the administration is handling it, and this talk about really the only way to stop them is to also go after iran. >> well, you know what, give? if it's the like a day late and a dollar short with the biden administration, and if you're the manager of starbucks, it just means people's coffees get cold. when you're the president of the united states, unfortunately, people lose their lives. we saw that with, you know, ukraine. the time to really support ukraine was prior to putin's invasion to show and send a signal and a message. so in 2021 when this administration said, you know what? the houthis aren't terrorists, we're going to play nice, we're going to not enforce the sanctions that the prior administration imposed on iran, so iran's reseated -- receipted went to over $40 billion.

and when you're the greatest state sponsor of terror, you're going to have a lot more money for folks like the houthis. so they plaid it dead wrong. now, again, day late, dollar short, but it's better late than never they're at least taking some aggressive actions because we have to project strength in the world. griff: yep. and one more question on that. do you believe in the redecember its nation of the houthis as terrorists? where do you come down? >> absolutely. that should never have been lifted. they should redesignate them immediately, and that's going to help us choke their financial base because without money, the terrorists, their reach is so incredibly limited. i think that's something they should do forthwith. griff: i want to shift to hunter biden. you are part of the oversight committee. now his attorney, abby lowell, suggesting he will decide to come for if a deposition

although it's interesting language in the letter. meanwhile, it looks like the committee is full steam ahead on holding hunter biden in contempt of congress. >> yeah. until i talk to the chairman, you know, chairman comer and chairman jordan, and until there's a date set where they mitt to having him come in for the -- commit to having him come in for the deposition, we're going to move forward with the contempt of congress. this whole charade they plaid, public testimony you only get five total hours, each member gets five minute, there's about 60 of them, and half of that time will go to democrats n. a deposition, the clock doesn't run out. you take as long as you need. so it could be hundreds, and it usually is, hundreds of hours of testimony so you can really drill down. that's why it's important to follow the profits he'll have his day in the public because what you do is you, first, have the private deposition and then the you have the public hearing. talk about a day late and a dollar short again, at least hunter biden is finally -- we

eagle pass. matt. >> reporter: we're standing inside of that city-owned shelby park here in eagle pass, and this piece of property has become a battleground between governor greg abbott and the biden administration. the texas national guard seized this property and basically kicked out federal border patrol agents. this exact park has been a very busy hot spot for illegal immigration over the past three years. you may even recall that huge surge of tens of thousands of migrants crossing the rio grande river into this area a few weeks ago. governor greg abbott argues that president biden has allowed cartels unfete ored access -- unfetedderred access to smuggle migrants into the park and into the state, so this past week texas put up more razor wire and fencing and has forced out federal agents. that results in the department of justice filing an emergency court document this week arguing in part that the federal government needs to regain access to this park. the white house is responding to seizure of the property writing

in part: governor abbott continues his extreme political stunts that not only seek to demonize and dehumanize people, but that also make it harder and more dangerous for border patrol to do their jobs. so we will be here over the next couple of days. this issue is now standing before the supreme court. you know, at any moment a decision could come down that would allow the federal government back into this park, but for right now we're standing here, the state of texas has really put up a lot of fencing and razor wire in this area. we've seen what appears to be a slowdown of migrant crossings in this particular area. so we'll keep you upday-to-day on the status here in texas -- updated on the status here in texas. jacqui: an interesting new development in this ongoing battle between the state of texas and the biden administration. thank you. give. griff: all right, here to talk more about the migrant crisis and fentanyl trafficking, former acting i.c.e. director and fox news contributor tom homan. tom, let's dive right into what we're seeing in eagle pass. what do you make of this

situation? it really seems -- and i spent september, october, december there in eagle pass -- it e seems that that governor abbott is making a bit of a battleground that he's drawn there with the border patrol, with the federal government. >> well, you know there's pros and cons, right? first of all, i think both sides are frustrated. the dps, texas, the ps is frustrated because the federal government, the white house and the dhs, they've advocated -- abdicated their respondent if to secure the border, and that has consequences. it's a welcoming committee. come in, we process and release. i think texas dps and the governor are frustrated, and i can understand that. i'm frustrated. i just wish both sides could work together. but border patrol's been prevented from actually doing the job they the were trained to do, the oath they took to enforce the law. i think what the government did, the pro, i think, is going to release more border -- border patrol agents, texas dps will arrest hem, charge many with trespass and put some in jail,

and that's going to relee some of the border patrol agents out to other areas where they haven't been able to patrol, where the gotaways are coming through, where the trafficking, sec trafficking -- griff: right. so that's, this is what the -- and i get along great, i have a great relationship with him, brandon judd, the border patrol consul president, john an finson is in all these meetings. but here's the challenge, and that is, ultimately, most of these migrants end up having to be turned over to border patrol, and agents say this is making it more difficult because you've got on dangerous roads and other areas where the texas national guard and dps is handing these migrants that they're not charging, which is the majority of them not being charged, handing them off to them, further complicating it. and the prospect of putting a agent back out on the line, last week i was tweeting out weapons and ammo that was being confiscated by agents, they were already going back to the job

that they were, you rightly point out, signed up to do which is to secure our border. they were already doing it because of a drop in numbers, not because of what abbott did. some agents, who remain anonymous, say they've been stuck in the middle of a political stunt being carried out by abbott. >> well, i've talked to a lot of front-line agents who are loving it. and i agree with you, they started releasing some border patrol agents to do their job outside of the zone, but what governor abbott's doing is going to release even more. look, the numbers aren't down. they won't go back up -- will go back up -- griff: of course they are this. >> they're going to go back up. griff: this is going to play out in a court of law, and i highly think that abbott is going to lose this because you simply can't prevent federal law enforcement officers from doing their federal duty which is to be on that border. >> that's where you and me disagree. actual, i think doj will file action, and they're probably going to win because immigration

enforcement is -- griff philadelphia that train's already left the station. >> yeah, supremacy e clause, right? they have the right to enforce immigration law in the state of texas. however, the state of texas can arrest people for trespassing. but i still say by texas stepping up and doing some of this meet and greet concierge stuff that the border patrol's used to doing -- griff: but that's not border patrol. >> it is border patrol. griff: the agents, the chiefs in charge are not -- they carry out the policy, they don't make the policy. governor abbott stood up operation lone star in the spring of 2021 in response to what he saw happening, but he saw a border crisis before anybody because biden undid all the trump policies. and it was rightfully done so. texas dps has done a wonderful job, abbott's brilliant idea to send the migrants to new york p chicago, brilliant. now all of a sudden when the crisis is the worst it's ever been, he's creating a distraction that is making it much tougher for those border patrol agents particularly in

eagle pass. that's what's frustrating ab it. >> it will force the administration to take action, just like you said. when he delivered thousands to sanctuary cities, democratic governors speaking up, democratic mayors speaking up. genius. this, actually, he just did -- it's going to go to court, it's going to force the administration to make some tough choices. again, i just want every one of the 20,000 men and women of the border patrol to get a back to doing the job thenar be doing -- they should be doing. griff: and that's where they want to be. last thing, you know, the country music singer jelly roll testified on capitol hill today, and i went and covered it. we don't have time to play the interview i did with him, but he was, he was very encouraged, he said, because he said i see washington fighting all the time, but people are coming together on trying to cut, bring fentanyl down and the deaths that happen, 150 plus every single day. there you see jelly roll. do you think enough's being done, short answer here, on fentanyl? >> no.
