welcome to "hannity". alarming new report from the house judiciary committee day. in 2021 believe it or not your federal government began asking banks to sit through private transactions for millions of americans and search for terms like trump and maga, so which banks voluntarily handed over that information? and what did the doj do with it? the house judiciary committee chairman jim jordan will join us with more on this orwellian and frankly dangerous breach of personal privacy. needless to say the 2024 election cannot happen soon enough. thankfully, we are just six days away from the new hampshire primary. one important note, unlike many other primaries, the granite state allows independents and democrats who register as independents to participate in the republican race. over 4000 democrats, by the way,

i think it's really interesting that democrats seam to have a better grasp of the real truth here, which is donald trump is the most formidable candidate who could face joe biden in november. he could prosecute the case against joe biden better than anybody. democrats are terrified of facing donald trump not only because it's going to be four more years of donald trump, but also because they realize he's the most formidable candidate. that is why they are trying to cross over and support nikki haley in the primary. >> that is why they are saying democracy in peril. that is a big fear tactic. the party that is trying to keep donald trump off balance in states, how ironic. they are the ones that want to pile on more criminal charges, as many as possible, and weaponize our justice system. it's a joke. i will give you the last word quickly starting with steve.

defensive them are not hitting the milestones the way every generation did before them. this is wild. 45% of people between ages 18 and 29 still live with their parents. they feel left behind by the economy and see everybody trying to not age out. >> please, get a job. see that they have to work multiple jobs. >> there is a million job openings in this country. get a job. >> they live through a pandemic and worst of times. i'm raising two. i want to defend them a little bit. >> here with reaction is fox news contributor tammy bruce co-host of the big money show on foxbusiness brian brenberg. good to see you both. tammy, half of these kids are living with mom and dad. half of them. i was out of the house young. i was broke and lived paycheck to paycheck for a lot of years. it wasn't fun. but the cost of cars, insurance, car repairs is out of sight for these young kids. new car prices are up 30%.
6:52 pm
used car prices up 38%. tammy, god forbid they want to by a home. with these interest rates you can't afford one. biden inflation on every item you buy, every store you go to. >> look, i think what we saw on the view, we know what the numbers are and we know how difficult it is. what we saw on the view was a fascinating display of a lack of empathy, of selfishness, of a dynamic where there is just this discussed with people who are struggling. we didn't want to get out of the house. that was the main thing we wanted to do. the fact of the matter is i don't think joy behar is an example. she doesn't have to worry about how much gas is going into her car and whether or not she can a protein on the plate for dinner. they might think it's a weird fantasy but that's the reality for many americans right now. they are so disconnected with the reality of the american lifestyle and the style of being
6:53 pm
able to have a bunch. she says get a job. the wages are also getting depressed. if you are on welfare and you are having food stamps, you are making to some degree more money than you would taking a minimum wage job in this country. you can't even afford, unless you are working two and three jobs. it's a remarkable disconnection. she might as well have said let them eat cake. that's what we are looking at at this point. >> i wish i thought of that line. that's probably perfect to describe the arrogance. i feel sorry for these kids, brian. it's the american dream which is that much harder. it doesn't need to remain this way. that's why the election in november of this year matters. they have consequences. >> gen z is breaking the cardinal rule. you're not supposed to ask questions. you are not supposed to care about building wealth and getting a home, buying a car.
6:54 pm
you're supposed to ask for the handouts from the left. as long as you are doing that joy behar is fine. but if you want to have some financial independence and break away from the government a little bit, then watch out. the hammer comes down on you. you need to get a job. gen z, it's good if you want to by a home and afford groceries. you are thinking the right way. ask yourself who wants to help you do that? who wants to give you the opportunity? i can tell you it is not joy behar. this was a very revealing moment on the view. you can see what these guys expect from the young voters. and if they don't get what they expect, they are out of here. >> i don't know what options they are going to have, tammy. interest rates are high and also sales of pre-existing homes have come to a standstill. new new-home construction is basically ended. there is a housing shortage. we have about a minute left. you get the last minute.
6:55 pm
>> it's also the parents. they are living in their parent's home. the parents remember when you could actually live a free life, when you could. hard for a living and get what you needed to get. those parents may be were intending on selling the home and maybe retiring or moving elsewhere. now they can't do that. the gen z person watching their parents reflect back tell them this is bad. it's not how it has to be. none of us expected this. this is not right. i think the good news is that the parent should influence those young people who still haven't moved out of the house about what is possible. >> tammy, good to see you. brian brenberg, thank you as well. when we come back, i think i am impacting gavin newsom. on one issue he sounds like me. i might actually agree with him. we will get to that. also, our big announcement straight ahead.
