>> we have lost technology from new york. i will pick it up from here and scroll it back so we know. fewer than 24 hours from new hampshire's first in the nation presidential primary. iowa caucuses were last upon monday, so this season is on. it is a two-person race for the republican nomination for president. florida governor ron desantis dropped out, that was about 21 hours ago. he says he will back former president donald trump. >> we can't go back to the old republican guard of yester year
9:02 am

9:03 am
she worked for me for 2-1/2 years. she was okay, not greats, okay. i don't see a path for her at all. >> harris: he's very upset with her, we'll kof it all. this is "outnumbered," i'm harris faulkner joined by kayleigh mcenany in new hampshire. bedford here and also joined by co-host emily compagno and fox news correspondent molly line, former congressman and gubernatorial candidate lee zeldin, wonder how close he could get new york now? he might do better against democrats, did well last time. latest polling out of new hampshire shows donald trump with 57% support and nikki haley 19 points behind at 38%. you know, congressman, it is hard to know what voters will do, in this stase especially, largest group of voters in new hampshire is undeclared.
9:04 am
>> lee: this is still a republican primary. all the momentum is with president trump, endorsements of different candidates in the presidential race fuel that momentum. result in iowa fuels that momentum. as of right now, heading to tomorrow, president trump is favored for a really big win and possibly the end of the primary if nikki haley chooses to end her bid after that. >> harris: emily. >> emily: more compelling question for us is how democrats will write-in for joe biden? we know president trump has a commanding lead over nikki haley, even before ron desantis dropped out. david miller filed a report this weekend and pointed to the fact democrat dean phillips is on the ballot and biden is not and suggesting mr. biden's strong
9:05 am
showing could wound biden and lure big hitters into the race. that might be a stretch, if you think it is a stretch, look over editorials from the "new york times" and politico and the wsj, stories about biden being on the back foot in michigan. john fetterman got a lot of attention for blasting the out of control border and party insiders have laced the white house for not paying more attention. this could generate more interest to mr. phillips, what will it do for president biden? >> harris: what i love about that, i was in the green room this morning getting new hampshire makeup, it is cold, it comes with hot tea. dean phillips walked in behind me. wow, he's here for a republican primary. i think he's getting the point you are making, emily. all eyes on new hampshire.
9:06 am
biden just didn't think it was worth his time. i don't know the whole story. dean phillips does. would he go no labels? maybe, maybe not. he has shown up, that is tip of the hat to democrats who this is not their primary, but why not show voters you like some love. molly. >> molly: great point. interesting addean phillips put out endorsed by his campaign featuring bigfoot and talking about how hard president biden was to find in new hampshire. democrats and national committee not committing to new hampshire and not participating and shrugging that off. interesting to see how seriously it is taken, whether the write-in is successful or not. there is a story either way. they can say we were not playing there, this is irrelevant and move the news cycle forward.
9:07 am
or say we didn't play there and we did win. they will try to spin it to their advantage either way. >> harris: biden has no competition right now. for someone to show up and say i'm the competition, that person is in person. i want to get back to desantis 21 and a half hours ago dropping out of the race. we saw each other in passing late yesterday evening and both said the same thing, didn't see that coming right now. it's changed, when you spend time with voters, the mood. >> emily: this news rocked the political universe. governor ron desantis got a friendly audience but the calculation for governor desantis was get out now and i believe probably save face for 2028, do the right thing was part of the calculus.
9:08 am
in all senses, this is nightmare scenario for nikki haley. vivek ramaswamy's percent could go to donald trump. it did. all showed majority support for president trump in new hampshire. desantis 6%, traditional faith voters, voters who would like someone like donald trump. i anticipate desantis vote could put trump over majority support. flip side, theory for the nikki haley campaign. 40% independents in the state. expecting record turnout. their theory, independents may help us, we get within striking distance. if donald trump wins here issue first time since 1976 in open republican primary to win iowa
9:09 am
and new hampshire. it would be a big victory. >> harris: the way you point it out, the daily tracker. kayleigh is right next to me here, they picked up 2% overite, after desantis dropped out. we can't tell what that will shake out to be in terms of number of voters. they both got part of that. i wonder what that says about a desantis voter. those are numbers we're watching for. new warning for president biden's campaign. another one? one democrat warning the problem is not policy, the problem is the man.
