and i think the white house correspondent peter doocy made this point yesterday or the day before. that is the way this white house now -- it was actually last night on "special report," the way the white house now and the campaign is managing joe biden during the campaign is to minimize falling down. we heard about the bubble wrap strategy a while back. but now they are -- for the most part, keeping him away from people as well and peter said last night, unlike every other person running for an office in 2024, joe biden is not out in crowds taking selfies. >> ainsley: what are they going to do for the next year. >> steve: bubble wrap. >> brian: how do you retain a presidency without campaigning against a guy that will out campaign anybody? >> lawrence: exactly. he is all over the place. to that point, brian, i think that's why governor haley has to be -- listen, politics is a blood sport going back and forth with rhetoric from the former president. she has to be really careful with making the comparison that

donald trump is unfit comparing him to joe biden when you can see how different is he. >> brian: democratic argument. >> lawrence: such a democratic argument. people can see the difference with the way that joe biden communicates right there in that soundbite and how donald trump is crisscrossing the country back and forth in court and on the campaign trail talking clearly. >> ainsley: what if we have a terrorist attack. what with if we have a natural disaster. who is making the decisions behind the scenes? >> brian: who is making the decisions in the middle east. our secretary of defense not talking to our president and no one cared and yet we are under attack constantly in the red sea. we have a situation ready to explode in gaza. and we know that russia has designs on taking all of ukraine. >> ainsley: what do leaders of other countries think when they hear soundbites like that. >> brian: evidently if you look at reports so relieved donald trump is not in the white house. >> steve: they are bracing. >> brian: they are bracing. i don't hear much praise. i don't hear much derision. they like when america is not showing our muscle.

news to get. to say starting in michigan the mother of the oxford school shooter ethan crumbley back in court today as her defense prepares for a second day of witness testimony. jennifer crumbly sobbing in court yesterday after watching surveillance footage of the 2021 shooting that left four students dead and seven people injured. jennifer is charged with involuntary manslaughter. her husband james will face a separate trial. prosecutors argue that even though jennifer didn't pull the trigger, she, quote: chose to do nothing to stop it. ethan has already been given a life sentence. new overnight, king charles is in the hospital this morning for a scheduled procedure for an enlarged prostate. the 75-year-old is getting treatment at the same london clinic where princess kate is recovering from abdominal surgery. buckingham palace releasing a statement this morning saying king scwot is delighted to learn his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness. how about that?

october when the u.s. military flew that bomber off the coast of china and it was intercepted with the chinese fighter jet. of course, the u.s. is showing support for taiwan as the name suggestions there with the taiwan straight after the big elections and the chinese-backed candidate lost. and it comes ahead of jake sullivan's meeting with the chinese by the administration. of course, wants china to help stop these attacks from iran's proxy forces see the connection here? >> brian: i see it. lucas, real quick. right now we are in talks to possibly leave iraq. we have 2500 troops there at least. they are on the constant attack as of late since the hamas attack on october 7th. should we leave iraq? >> well, the time something very suspicious. you just showed the full screen graph. we have been talking about for a long time. 150 attacks on u.s. forces in iraq and syria. right now does not appear to be the right time to wave the right flag. there is no question the government of iraq is under a lot of pressure from iran. many people iraq is a de facto province now of iran. there is pressure to expel the

of the way and some messy stuff, wintry mix for the northern new england area and the great lakes. and then we see this next storm system moving in from the south. by the way, this could provide the potential for severe storms, including tornadoes on saturday. and then moving up towards the mid-atlantic and the northeast. behind it pulling cold air from canada. so we could get a period of snow, depend on where you live, new york wawa i still think it's rain across the coast. boston you could get some snow flurry activity. coast central plains that's where we have a lot of moisture working its way in potential for flash flooding and west coast another round of rain and mountain snow for the northwest. severe storm threat today for parts of the mississippi valley towards the southeast and that could include tornadoes, just keep that in mind and there is your forecast highs today. a lot of country today above average. but, again, i would take the snow. wouldn't you, ainsley? colder temperatures and snow instead of this stuff? >> ainsley: definitely. you know i would. i know you would, too.

impact fee that they charged which basically in my opinion is just another tax and another way to extort money from the average person you ended up paying that. you wanted the money back, $23,000. i'm sure you spent well above that in your attorney fees. why is it important to fight this? >> i just think government is out of control. just look around this country and see the way that it's falling apart. it's very sad to someone my age. to see what's happened. i just think everybody has got to do their part. me doing my part, i guess. >> ainsley: what is your argument you say $23,000 not proportionate to the actual impact your house would have on the roads, right?

>> well, what they do, i think, is they put it in the general fund and use the money wherever they want. not just me. it's everybody that has attempted to build. and a lot of other things going on that are just out of control. i think if everybody would jump in and start fighting back against government and abuse of government, it's going to get back to the way this country used to be. >> ainsley: tell us about yourself i understand you are taking care of your grandchild too. >> he is actually grown and going to college. yes, we raised him. >> ainsley: you are just an a hardworking man and an american. you see abuse here. you went to the county and complain about it they said well, you don't have to build here. >> yeah. they were a little rude. but i guess they are just trying to do their job what they are told to do.

>> ainsley: what do you think is going to happen with the supreme court? >> >> i don't know. my lawyers feel very good about it. and me, i don't believe anything until i see it with my own eyes. >> ainsley: yeah. hel dorado county. this is part of their statement. county fees under attack have already been upheld by the california supreme court and california court of appeals which confirmed that the county complied with all applicable requirements for the imposition of development impact mitigation fees. you know, we are seeing this in new york. so many people are leaving new york. they are finding ways to tax people. they have to make up for the income of the wealthy that have left to go down to florida or nontax states. didn't they add this fee just a few years ago? >> well, i believe they added it just when i started to do mine. i wasn't aware of it at the time. so it's got to be close to 16, i would imagine. and it's a lot of people can't afford it, too.

they have fees -- what are they going to do with it, the fees have gotten a lot higher since then. it's not just the road fees. it's impact fees on everything. >> ainsley: yeah. most people, george, get the bill and say well, you know, they cry. they don't have $23,000 in a bank account but they have to pay it if they want to build their house. they just pay the bill and the government knows. this so, proud of you for fighting. this keep fighting. you didn't know retirement was going to look like this. you thought you were going to live on that property and not have to be dragged in and out of courts. god bless you. thanks for coming on. >> thank you, ainsley. and i love fox news. so you guys are fabulous. >> ainsley: do you get up that early you live out on the west coast to watch us? >> no. i do not get up this early. good morning to you. >> so, amy, you are the moderator for this. this has become very popular. older pickleball player. warms my heart kids are going to pick up the sport. >> very exciting. all student-led. it was their idea. they wanted to start a club with when we put it out there for sign-up. 120 boys showed up, signed up and became part of a really successful fall season, which is just about snowballed into something really exciting. >> steve: that's very exciting, indeed. thomas, we are looking at some still pictures from the first match that was played on wednesday. tell us a little bit how it's going at your school in maryland. >> we had an idea. we quarantine. we thought why not make a school sport. we have almost every other club except pickleball.

that's what we did. we proposed the idea and turned into one of the most inclusive and biggest clubs at our school. we even have a team now. >> steve: that's right. do you have a team. just at a club level. not at the varsity level yet. how does that happen? >> yet. we hope in the future it would turn into a sport. as of right now yes, it's still a club. >> steve: amy, i would like to come back to high school and finally letter in something, just saying. >> you are always welcome to join us. our hope is that this does become an miaa sport. we have 17 sports right now that are official sports but we would love this to be the 18th. that's our goal. >> steve: okay. so we have got a lot of the team right there. and this is open to all you boys. and, by the way, we should point out this is all boys school. fellows, who is the best player? let's see the hand. who is the best player? >> right here. [laughter] >> steve: hey, cooper, so, as the best player, what are you teaching the other guys about pickleball? >> right now, just like hitting the ball in the kitchen. you want to get the drop shots and all about having fun right now. >> steve: that's right. you know, where i play in new jersey, it's mainly people my age, 50's and 60's and stuff like that. but, cooper, when we have got high school kids on the tennis team they come and play with us. they clean our clocks. do you guys play with older players and you think oh, that's so cute, they are going so slow? >> no. they are really good. they have good placement on their shots. they are fun to play with. good competition. >> steve: yeah. cooper, why were they trying to hide you during this segment? >> what? >> i'm really not sure. >> steve: let's move the camera over to amy again. amy, as it starts to take off. i didn't realize that apparently this is also picking up steam on the college level. and so it makes at your level you start to teach the kids about staying out of the kitchen. >> yes, exactly. and they are really great. it's a great sport at all levels. so, a lot of our guys, about 50% of the team picked it up for the first time. and you can learn it quickly at all different athletic abilities. it's really an inclusive sport that's a lot of fun. it's picking up in our area, especially, we know a number of courts are being changed over to pickleball, which is really exciting for us because it gives us a lot of options of where to play. >> steve: all you need is tape and turn that old pesky tennis court into a pickleball court. thomas, before we go, have you heard from other schools interested in doing the same and asking you logistics questions and stuff like that or is that a question for amy? >> i can answer that question. so after we played the first
