>> ainsley: what do you think is going to happen with the supreme court? >> >> i don't know. my lawyers feel very good about it. and me, i don't believe anything until i see it with my own eyes. >> ainsley: yeah. hel dorado county. this is part of their statement. county fees under attack have already been upheld by the california supreme court and california court of appeals which confirmed that the county complied with all applicable requirements for the imposition of development impact mitigation fees. you know, we are seeing this in new york. so many people are leaving new york. they are finding ways to tax people. they have to make up for the income of the wealthy that have left to go down to florida or nontax states. didn't they add this fee just a few years ago? >> well, i believe they added it just when i started to do mine. i wasn't aware of it at the time. so it's got to be close to 16, i would imagine. and it's a lot of people can't afford it, too.

they have fees -- what are they going to do with it, the fees have gotten a lot higher since then. it's not just the road fees. it's impact fees on everything. >> ainsley: yeah. most people, george, get the bill and say well, you know, they cry. they don't have $23,000 in a bank account but they have to pay it if they want to build their house. they just pay the bill and the government knows. this so, proud of you for fighting. this keep fighting. you didn't know retirement was going to look like this. you thought you were going to live on that property and not have to be dragged in and out of courts. god bless you. thanks for coming on. >> thank you, ainsley. and i love fox news. so you guys are fabulous. >> ainsley: do you get up that early you live out on the west coast to watch us? >> no. i do not get up this early. good morning to you. >> so, amy, you are the moderator for this. this has become very popular. older pickleball player. warms my heart kids are going to pick up the sport. >> very exciting. all student-led. it was their idea. they wanted to start a club with when we put it out there for sign-up. 120 boys showed up, signed up and became part of a really successful fall season, which is just about snowballed into something really exciting. >> steve: that's very exciting, indeed. thomas, we are looking at some still pictures from the first match that was played on wednesday. tell us a little bit how it's going at your school in maryland. >> we had an idea. we quarantine. we thought why not make a school sport. we have almost every other club except pickleball.

that's what we did. we proposed the idea and turned into one of the most inclusive and biggest clubs at our school. we even have a team now. >> steve: that's right. do you have a team. just at a club level. not at the varsity level yet. how does that happen? >> yet. we hope in the future it would turn into a sport. as of right now yes, it's still a club. >> steve: amy, i would like to come back to high school and finally letter in something, just saying. >> you are always welcome to join us. our hope is that this does become an miaa sport. we have 17 sports right now that are official sports but we would love this to be the 18th. that's our goal. >> steve: okay. so we have got a lot of the team right there. and this is open to all you boys. and, by the way, we should point out this is all boys school. fellows, who is the best player? let's see the hand. who is the best player? >> right here. [laughter] >> steve: hey, cooper, so, as the best player, what are you teaching the other guys about pickleball? >> right now, just like hitting the ball in the kitchen. you want to get the drop shots and all about having fun right now. >> steve: that's right. you know, where i play in new jersey, it's mainly people my age, 50's and 60's and stuff like that. but, cooper, when we have got high school kids on the tennis team they come and play with us. they clean our clocks. do you guys play with older players and you think oh, that's so cute, they are going so slow? >> no. they are really good. they have good placement on their shots. they are fun to play with. good competition. >> steve: yeah. cooper, why were they trying to hide you during this segment? >> what? >> i'm really not sure. [laughter]

>> steve: let's move the camera over to amy again. amy, as it starts to take off. i didn't realize that apparently this is also picking up steam on the college level. and so it makes at your level you start to teach the kids about staying out of the kitchen. >> yes, exactly. and they are really great. it's a great sport at all levels. so, a lot of our guys, about 50% of the team picked it up for the first time. and you can learn it quickly at all different athletic abilities. it's really an inclusive sport that's a lot of fun. it's picking up in our area, especially, we know a number of courts are being changed over to pickleball, which is really exciting for us because it gives us a lot of options of where to play. >> steve: all you need is tape and turn that old pesky tennis court into a pickleball court. thomas, before we go, have you heard from other schools interested in doing the same and asking you logistics questions and stuff like that or is that a question for amy? >> i can answer that question. so after we played the first
