escalate the standoff and seize control of the texas national guard. here is the white house response on that. >> democrat are saying the government need to federalize the national guard. >> i will say this. border patrol agents are now allowed to cut through wire because of what supreme court laid at. it is unfortunate we had to go there, it is unfortunate governor abbott has politicized this. it is making it harder for law enforcement to do their job. >> her talking points fall so flat in the face of all those risking their lives to secure the border and it is not unfortunate, it is tragic and what is tragic, biden administration lack of enforcement of policy that created this and texas is trying to protect themselves.
9:04 am
the biden administration ignored border states and all 50 states that have become border states, why are they trying to collaborate now? >> paul: it is a parity, i could listen to her all day. they have gotten themselves in a situation where they wish they were not in. they own this now. it is simpler than they are conveying. when they came in, they undid remain in mexico. now they own it. easy as it was to undo remain in mexico, it is just as easy to put it back in place and essentialitily an executive order. biden only needs a pen and a phone. they are complicated this because they are stuck. every place is now a border state. they know they are going into election year. and the texas national guard, you know what that is going to look like in this country? it is the kind of thing they

states to fight a federal government that is too centralized, too big and failed in interest to protecting americans. that is what happened. federal government failed to protect us, failed to enforce law and undermine texas's right to fulfill its constitutional duty to defend its borders and sovereignty. there is a broader concept that begs the question, are we still a country? the constitution is supposed to be the supreme law of the land. how much americans have reverence for it anymore? how many lawmakers? we're supposed to have sovereign borders and we no longer defend them. we are a nation of laws and we are no longer. what is holding america together and are we still a country? >> why do actions only happen at

government, texas governor greg abbott. i don't know what is going to happen in that supreme court battle if it gets to that level again. there are legal issues and other than cans over his definition of the word invasion. and the supreme court has ruled against him once, can you imagine if he didn't try and let texas get smacked in the face with this issue? no responsible governor would ever allow them to do that. he still has to try. >> i love that point, carley, so much. former president of federalist society, federalism is there for a reason. to lisa's point, when the federal government squishes american people. tammy, i want your thoughts, this is interesting and speaks to impact and all americans are
