america's foreign policy in the hands of president biden is proving to be deadly. iran's paid for and trained terrorists are hitting our military men and women at will. look at the map. is biden even up to the job of protecting americans in the middle east and even at home? we'll get into that later in the hour. three of our u.s. service members were killed over the weekend. 34 were injured. u.s. officials identifying the terrorists. they are iran-backed, of course, all eyes on our commander-in-chief and his administration. do they know what to do? why was nothing done before it came to this point? i'm harris faulkner and you are in "the faulkner focus." just a few minutes ago, we saw for the first time since he was in the hospital, the nation's defense secretary lloyd austin at the pentagon.
8:02 am
first day back in the office after two weeks in the hospital and recovering. he said he was able to work from home. and his first public appearance since the fatal attack on our troops. now remember how long that's been going on. 104 days, october 17th. the first time we've seen him publicly on that. the drone attack happening in northeastern jordan near its borders with syria and iraq. the region has been hit over and over and over in the recent months, as i just said, 104 days. congress wants more from president biden. don't we all. their demands now. >> we have to reestablish deterrents with regard to iran. we're seeing the result. more americans killed, wars in the middle east, appeasement policy of the biden administration has completely failed.
8:03 am
our enemies smell weakness out of the white house. there is no doubt about it. >> harris: most of the attacks since the middle of october, at least 160 of them, look at that. just since october 17th. and the commander-in-chief ordered only responding 15 times and the criticism from generals has been even though those 15 times were woefully undergrade for what we needed to do. general jack keane has been saying it for months that it is not the way to play the game, at least not to win it. >> to deter the proxies themselves by hitting them will not be sufficient. we have got to go after iran. iran doesn't care how many rockets an missiles we destroy. the administration doesn't get it. they don't care how many rockets and missiles are destroyed or how many proxies are killed as a result of our strikes. what they do care about is the

counter drone measures thought it was a u.s. drone coming back to the base. so clearly that is something that they will be looking at very closely in the coming days as they investigate how this terrible tragedy occurred. >> harris: i guess my first question would be how well the enemy knows us. i don't mean those proxies, those people paid and trained. i mean iran. they watch us closely. a fast question for you, jennifer, has there been any indication how whatever retaliation there would be from the united states military per the commander-in-chief joe biden be different than the lesser than that we saw in the build-up to this point? generals have criticized it as being lesser than it needed to be to deter. >> based on conversations i've had this is a turning point. once u.s. troops were killed, i was always told there are many, many targets, some of them including iranian targets, that be presented to the president and it will be his choice in the end but there is a campaign plan and the question is which targets will be chosen and that

8:10 am
have gotten the message loud and clear that they can get away with it. not only can they get away with it, that to the extent we do respond, it will be feckless. i've talked to soldier in the field and commanders in the middle east now. we're bombing empty warehouses in the middle of the night so the administration can look like they are doing something in response but they are still beholding to this appeasement strategy when it comes to iran. you heard the chairman of the joint chiefs brown. if you listen carefully whether it's kirby, him, the president, they end every statement if we are going to defend ourselves but we don't want this thing to spread. and what iran hears from that is well, let's take it to the next level and see what we can get away with next time and now we have three dead service members because of it that many of us have been warning eventually one of these missiles or drones will

get through. when you try to play defense constantly rather than punching back in a meaningful way, this blood is on this administration's hands, period and they need to take responsibility for it. >> harris: i don't know if you heard jennifer griffin. she said that from the indications that she is getting at the pentagon this is a turning point. my question was how will it look different from the other times we've retaliated. that was her answer. we have to watch and report that. i take it you don't believe that. >> well, i don't think -- don't worry about what i believe. i don't think the iranians believe it. i don't think the militias in iraq believe it. i don't think the houthis or hezbollah or hamas believe it. right now you can have all the capability, military capability in the world and by the way, there is an opportunity cost. we're stripping from places around china and ships and
8:12 am
things that should be in maintenance, soldiers resting to surge in the middle east. if our enemies don't believe we have the political will to use it in a way that will hurt them, not their proxies, not empty warehouses in the middle of the desert but them. then they will continue to push. that's how the middle east works. they only respect strength and they only -- they need to believe that there will be serious costs imposed so it is just not worth messing with the americans anymore. >> harris: i want to dig deeper into some of the reporting. jennifer griffin just brought it to our attention. the "wall street journal" broke it and originally reported the u.s. official now has confirmed to fox news the iran proxy drone that got past our defenses for tower 22, because it was mistaken for a u.s. drone expected to return to the base at the same time. this has now been confirmed by a u.s. official. now, what i said to jennifer
8:13 am
moments ago was how well does the enemy know us? i don't mean all those proxies paid for terrorists, i'm talking about iran that they can do this. >> well, harris, at this point i'm speculating and we'll ask for briefings on exactly what happened. did our defensive measures fail? have they captured one of our drones and reverse engineered there? this is the cat and mouse game that's going on but bigger picture we're shooting down these 30, $40,000 drones with two to 3 million missiles. it's not sustainable and from my position as the chairman of military readiness how are we reacting when you can throw thousands of these things at little cost, buy them on chinese websites and we have the super elaborate system. >> harris: the same kind they're using you can buy on the website

8:26 am
it is already a federal law it is illegal to enter anywhere except those ports of entry. the american people are not fooled at all by the biden administration cutting razor wire and letting people is. it is an invasion. governor abbott is in his right to defend his state. other republican governors have a lot of common sense and standing with him. >> harris: we've seen governor desantis and kristi noem and others promising and then sending resources there, people on the ground, national guard. i want to take the temperature of this. once you get involved in this, it is half the country now against the white house. will you send resources? >> yes, oklahoma will do that. i've publicly said it and already sent resources before and we'll be doing it again. we're already looking at the numbers and again, every state is a border state. fentanyl deaths have gone up 500% in our state.
8:27 am
again, this is just so common sense. and i want the american people to think about it. you have the biden administration right now cutting razor wire to let people in illegally. i mean, what other explanation is there besides that's wrong and it goes against what texas should be doing to protect their border or any governor, for that fact? >> harris: i want to make sure that we put parentheses and highlight and everything we need to do around what you just said about a 500% fentanyl increased problem in your state. that is unbearable. you get the last word. >> yeah. well, the other thing that people need to realize is this is not against immigration. we need to have, you know, visa reform and know who is coming into our country. you have military-age men from other countries on the terrorist

georgia. concerns are growing over her love affair with nathan wade. who she hired to head the case, the biggest case of her career. documents of wade's divorce proceeding show wade spent thousands of dollars on lavish vacations and bought an airline ticket in willis's name and could all come up when wade has to testify two days from now in his divorce case. attorneys for former d.o.j. lawyer jeffrey clark are demanding that all communications between fani willis's team and the biden administration be made public. they claim wade and willis had two separate meetings at the white house. and former prosecutor said this. >> i'm not sure if it is more soap opera or john grisham legal thriller. the cards seem to be falling for

willis. were the meetings trying to set up the timing to interfere with the 2024 election. all these questions need very serious answer. >> harris: what word comes to mind for me, collusion. was there collusion between fani willis, the district attorney's office and the white house of joe biden? doug collins, attorney and former georgia congressman who served as a ranking member on the house judiciary committee. first of all, doug. what do you think about the situation with the meetings? >> that's been the thing i have oh he been most concerned about from the beginning, we talked about this before. salaciousness of the affair and everything will come out and believe neither one of them will be doing it in divorce court now. the issue with the biden, the hit you had on there is concerning, collusion, how you actually, were they planning the cases out and timing them between smith's cases and the new york cases? doing it in such a way or being

case-wise. she can step away from it and try to give it to another district attorney or try to hand it off to somebody but it doesn't work. she is not focused on the case that was supposed to start in march. this puts it off for a long time. >> harris: i mean, according to published reports, ms. wade has receipts and not focused on the trump case now. she has to get through the couple's divorced if she is involved with the husband. let's move. house republicans pushing ahead to impeach deputy mayorkas and they have two articles of impeachment. one accuses him of refusal to secure the border. the other accuses him of knowingly making false statements to congress that the border is secure. doug. >> this is going to be the pivotal point with all the immigration discussion now. most of us believe mayorkas is incompetent and ideologue when it comes to the immigration side.
8:55 am
what they are saying in my mind is we can have differences of opinion. he gets in trouble saying the border is secure. i will take illegal entry ways not in the law. that's where he breaks or bends the law into ways it was never intended and comes out and says our border is secure. that's where the willful and knowingly come in here that are really important. >> harris: it seems like biden is kind of stabbing him in the back because by him pushing forward with the politics at the moment and saying he wants something to go through congress that gives him power right now to shut down the border if he needs to or to -- when you read some of the wording in what he wants to pass through congress it doesn't sound like he is supporting mayorkas. i have to let you go but when we get back we'll dig into that. thank you. >> i'm shocked biden being political, are you kidding me, really? >> harris: all right.
