mr. wade is a prohibited source, correct? >> what i agreed to is i don't believe he has given me gifts, but you would like to classify these trips as gifts. i have always paid my fair share on these trips, so i did not look at them as gifts. i don't think that what this is disclosing, and they can tell me if they need something different. i don't think it means that if you go to dinner with somebody over the course of the year that gets to $100, you are supposed to report it. is my understanding of that is wrong, i probably have lunches with a couple of people that throughout the course of the year, i paid. they paid. >> we already went over this. >> i have to make a foundation before i can follow-up. >> i don't know why -- the foundation has already been made.
2:12 pm
>> your 2022 disclosure form did not list any of the thousands and thousands of dollars that mr. wade paid for on trips that you were on. isn't that correct? >> that's because mr. wade has paid that money back, or he was paid due to the fact that i about the plane ticket. i paid for the hotel. there was never money that he gave me. that was not the nature of their relationship. there is so many men, and mr. wade is one of them, they are just paying for a woman. it is companionship and friendship. despite the way people would like to paint certain women, it is just not true. >> final question. not a single solitary documentary showing that you have withdrawn the cash to pay him back. >> that's not accurate. >> okay, mr. floyd.

[indistinct] >> we can handle that now. ms. wilson, you can step down. >> do you want me to leave the courtroom? >> you can sit at the council table. two witnesses, and other defense counsel. i know there was a potential witness that was objected to by the state. there is another one there. we can talk about that. any other witnesses anticipated?

seeing no show of hands, and any witnesses? >> dana: and fani willis has left the courtroom. this has been a marathon day. we all have opinions. we will start with the judge. this started earlier today. i did not think it would be -- i don't know -- i am totally into this story, but i did not know that it would be like this on the witness stand. it started out slow but picked up a lot of steam. >> jeanine: everyone i've talked to has been glued to this. this is a combination of a real courtroom but also a soap opera with characters and explosions that you don't usually see in courtrooms. let me start by saying that fani willis is out of control. no judge would tolerate what she did in the courtroom. i don't know why this one did, but any judge that i have tried a case with would have helped me in contempt if i acted that way if he or she was condescending, out of control, combative.
2:16 pm
she was gratuitous. she was lecturing. she yelled at the attorney and said "don't you yell at me." the attorney was not yelling, but she was yelling at the attorney. she literally thought that this was her show, that she was running the courtroom, and that all of these issues -- everybody had to be lectured. if she was asked a question, did you keep cash? trying to assess the real issue, whether or not there were misconduct issues that can lead to her being disqualified. those allegations include did she have an affair with that guy before she hired him? what has come out is that she hired him in november 2022, and the affair started in early 2023, so i guess two weeks after they took a look at each other, they decided that they were going to have sex together. there is more than that.
2:17 pm
was she partaking in trips that she was indirectly paying for? when i got to the point that she had to prove that she was in fact reimbursing mr. wade, she could not have any proof. she said she went to belize with cash. who does that? she said she never received a gift with an aggregate of over $100. what she has to worry about is not so much her reputation, but the reputation of her office. they have the best stink on them now. did she hire someone that she brought in because she wanted to have a relationship with him? by the way, how do you go on five trips as a d.a. in six months? i mean, from belize to the bahamas to aruba, napa valley. who is running the office? nobody has time to do this.
2:18 pm
she was out of control, but in the end matt, i think she started understanding that it was not her show. she had to calm herself. >> dana: so i went on for hours. can you get number four ready? i will ask jesse about this. if you tuned in late, there were all these questions about money and cash and how much she paid. she said she paid her fair share, but this was a moment today where you thought oh, there could be trouble. >> i have given him cash -- probably the most money i've ever handed him his $2500. >> you have no proof because it is all-cash, right? >> the testimony of one witness is enough to prove a fact. >> i did not give him money in a contract, so that was cute, but i did not give him money in a contract. i don't need anybody to flood my bills. the only man who has ever feted my bills completely is my daddy.
2:19 pm
>> dana: you've been watching all day. you love it. >> jesse: i don't know where to start. i'm so engaged in this courtroom drama. so many things i want to say at once. we are covering this for the full hour, is that correct? >> dana: i don't know if i can promise that. just start. >> jesse: first of all, it must be exhausting to prosecute trump because this woman has taken seven vacations. my favorite part was when she was asked if she's ever been to any other consonance with wade. she said she's been to belize. what consonant is belize? north america? this woman is prosecuting the former president of the united states. she flies to a country and does not know what consonants it is on. that is just number one. these are not smart or professional people. these are petty people that all

2:23 pm
he is just asking her did you put a snickers bar in your purse? i guess she's hoping that people will forget what the case is about as long as you keep building and building this nonsense. you dig a bunch of little holes over here and hope that people just fall in, but i could not handle it. it is weird that this person is a d.a. presiding probably one of the biggest trials, you know -- it is a president on trial, and that's the person in charge? that is not -- that's not an even k keeled person. maybe she thought the jury would identify with her, but there is no jury. all i can think is that she's auditioning for "the view." she knows she's going to be impeached or whatever you call it. this is her next gig.
2:24 pm
she does not a script. she just goes. >> dana: this is the msnbc host saying that she's in a lot of trouble. watch. >> this is epic. this is monumental. if things are going in the direction we think. fani willis lied to the court. it's game over for her. she will be disqualified. >> i could watch a bravo tv episode or salacious details about a romance. >> dana: which means, jessica, it's a good day for president trump. this case -- we will get to the judge on this in a moment, but it looks like it's not going well for fani willis. you imagine all those other defendants are thinking this case could get thrown out. >> jessica: i am not sure i would comment on that. the trump team and what they are happy about, if she's disqualified, it's another de delay.

he was in court in new york today trying to get the alvin bragg court lengthened. they don't care about this, but they care about the election interference case. i agree with much of what has been said. i think that there were some moments where she had legitimate reason to be upset. when she was holding up the documents saying "you lied in here," the lawyer had lied and put in the documentation that is they had spent time in her condo, she said that's not true. that's where the disagreement is with a friend. the relationship had not started. >> it does not mean it is a lie. she does not determine that. >> jessica: she was refuting testimony that had come from her former friend. obviously something very bad happened and not falling out. >> dana: she says "i have not spoken to robin in over a year."

wade puts everything he spends his money on on his corporate card. and then at the end of the year, he gives the statement to his tax attorney, and the tax attorney divides what was business and what was personal, and then they file their taxes. i have never ever heard of anybody doing that at all. also funny from wade. at this point he is not supposed to be sleeping with fani. he's going to her condo. and this is when she is very lonely. he is just picking her up, and they are going to dinner at lickety-split's. or mellow mushroom. or sometimes they are reviewing documents. has anybody else from the legal team gone to fani's condo to review documents? absolutely not. this would be like -- i don't know, robert mueller appointing
