the former president is facing a 30-day deadline to fork over that $355 million penalty following the judge's decision on friday and several of his multi-million dollars assets could be on the chopping block to pay off the fine. >> john: kelly o'grady is live outside of trump tower in new york city and kelly, it's rather fortuitous, that is one of the assets some people are saying the state could seize if the former president misses his deadline. >> john, it's absolutely a possibility the state could seize an asset like trump tower. until appeal is filed, all of these penalties are in place. so, excuse me, sorry, didn't have my mic there. so until an appeal is filed, all of these penalties are in place. so, if he's unable to pay up, they could actually seize that legally. now, his legal team did confirm they are going to file appeal, so to do so he would need to pay

up to $450 million, that is the fine, including interest, so have to put the full cash amount in escrow where frozen, he would not be able to touch it or he could post a bond, so would allow him to mix cash as well as assets for the bond. growing speculation that new york real estate assets of his could be on the chopping block to flip the bill for even appeal, talking about properties like the one behind me, trump international. he recently sold his lease to one of the new york golf courses for a good chunk of change, and a windfall, should truth social go public. >> within 30 days even if we choose to appeal this, which we will, we have to post the bond, which is the full amount and some and we will be prepared to do that. what they are doing is a scare tactic. unfortunately, they picked the wrong guy to pick on in my opinion. because he's strong, he's

down what we know. but first details from jonathan hunt, live with the latest on the search for audrey. jonathan, any new leads here? >> well, police say they have this person of interest that is being held in this case, and that person apparently took 11-year-old audrey cunningham regularly to her bus stop or even to school, and that's apparently what 42-year-old don mcdougall has told police happened last thursday, claiming he took audrey to the bus stop just before 7:00 a.m. but he apparently has not told police what happened beyond that, leaving law enforcement frustrated in their search for the 11-year-old. >> i am not giving up hope that we will be able to bring audrey home. so, yes, i am hoping that she is still alive and we are going to work just as hard to make sure we do everything we can to try to bring her home. >> mcdougall was arrested friday on a separate aggravated assault

charge. he has a long criminal record and according to police, lives in a camper behind the house where audrey lives with her father. officials say mcdougall is a friend of audrey's father and a regular baby-sitter for the 11-year-old. her mother says she had no idea about the child care arrangements, just wants her daughter back. >> she has so many people that love her and adore her. she is a very well taken care of child and we just -- we miss her. we don't understand. >> don mcdougall remains officially only a person of interest, according to police, not formally a suspect at this stage. even though they appear to believe he is the last person to have seen audrey before she disappeared. they are asking for patience as they investigate.

time, sandra, is clearly not on audrey's side. >> sandra: jonathan, thank you. john. >> john: joining us now, john and callahan walsh, co-hosts of "america's most wanted." what we know so far, she was walking to the school bus, 11-year-old audrey cunningham, never made it there, bright red backpack belonged to her was found near lake livingston, the parents are beside themselves. a little more from mother kasy matthews. >> we would like to have her come home. it's not like her to, you know, just run off or disappear. she has a lot of loving family. >> john: john, why don't you start us off. what do you know about the case? >> well, we know they have a person of interest and callahan works at the national center for missings and exploited children during the week and i came out of retirement and back on fox primetime, he works with me on

the weekends. so the national center is following them. cal, maybe you want to tell them what the center is doing. >> absolutely. there was an amber alert issued for audrey, an unfortunate, unfortunate story, every parents' worst nightmare. all hands on deck. we know the sheriff's office is working diligently to find this little girl as they said in the press conference. they will never give up hope until she's found. we never give up hope until we find the missing children we are looking for and all signs point to this guy they have in question. no charges have been filed at this point, but the fact he's got a rap sheet a mile long, including a charge for child enticement, none of these are good signs. >> john: we heard, jonathan, talking about this whole case a moment ago, the 42-year-old man is don mcdougall, said to be a friend of audrey's father. lives in a trailer on the

property, and he has a conviction of enticing a child with intent to commit a felony. folks might look at him and say why was he in the company of 11-year-old girl. >> that's what we always ask, john. >> asking the same question now. >> the one we always ask. we can't give up hope and you know, maybe she's somewhere else, maybe he's got her stashed somewhere, so callahan is dead right. keep up the search, sweat this guy, he's the logical suspect, don't give up, don't give up, keep working it, working it hard. >> john: cal, let me ask you this question, in terms of her potential where abouts. the fact the backpack was found by the lake, what does that say to you? >> not another great sign. if the backpack was hers, where is she. and the body of water leads out to a lot of different areas, a huge task for the sheriff's office to search the area. that's why they are asking the

public. if anybody who lives near that dam has dash cam footage or, you know, doorbell footage of the front door, turn it over to law enforcement. they want to create a timeline and if they can spot this guy driving in that area that can absolutely help them out in their investigation. >> john: john, you and the program have had so many successes over the decades you've been on tv, and another one, davey alberan was charged, the child was his daughter, he was featured in 2022 edition of "america's most wanted." a clip from it here. >> what would you want to say to him? >> how dare you, how dare you. i gave you -- i trusted you with what was most precious to me and you betrayed my trust. you traumatized my child for the rest of her life. you know, i -- turn yourself in. that's all i can say.

>> he's on my personal top ten, and i never quit. we never quit. >> john: you happy to be back in business, you and cal making a difference, john. >> just came out of retirement john on the fox network, interviewed those girls last week and this is our first capture. what a great one. clear up a couple misconceptions there. those girls that you saw were his daughters, and he allegedly molested his own granddaughters and this is a great capture. the polk county sheriff and great deputy, and canine dog named creed smoked this guy out, grabbed him trying to get over the fence, the dog brought him down. he's got a rap sheet ten miles long and the two sisters went on tiktok, they got over 9 million hits, and now we know several other girls are coming forward, too afraid of this guy, everybody is afraid of him, violent guy.

so these little girls kept secrets for years and now emboldened by anna and johna's bravery so we have some other cases to work on here. i'll tell you what, and the sheriff, i'm sorry, his sister hid him all this time and i always know the accessory to hiding a fugitive, his sister should be charged from hiding this dirt bag for all this time. but john, it's a great capture, we found a bad guy on our first time out, so i keep telling people call me, you can make a difference and we always guarantee you can remain anonymous. these two sisters were found their father was a child molestor of little girls. his butt is off the streets. >> john: congratulations on a good capture there. cal, i don't have to tell you, your father is such a legend here. how does it feel to be following in his footsteps and now partnering with him. >> huge shoes to fill, that's for sure.

haul. >> i refuse to quit. south carolina will vote on saturday. but on sunday i'll still be running for president. i'm not going anywhere. >> sandra: all right. i'm not going anywhere, says nikki haley. bill is here, a member of the "wall street journal" editorial board and fox news contributor. bill, perfect day for you. i understand the former president, president trump's shot froze up, but greenville, you heard an enthusiastic crowd. nikki haley took to the microphone at noon, highly anticipated speech where some maybe thought she was going to pull out of the race, she says she refuses to quit. looking at the polls, why do you think she's choosing to stay in it? >> well, i think it's the best bet. look, with both biden and trump, they are not going to be kicked out of the race by primaries, you know. trump has proved that already.

there's no candidate going to best him in the number of delegates. but both of them have a lot of mine fields. biden with his health and so forth about whether he'll be on the ballot. things could change in august. so, nikki haley's best bet is the convention where the delegates have to choose a person other than trump because he was forced out. it won't be by her, but it could be. and she could argue it's not given she'll be chosen but she would say i'm the last man or woman standing and i fought it all the way and i'm the best person to beat biden. >> sandra: the latest polls as i mentioned have a commanding lead for donald trump at 63%, and nikki haley 35%, so you are talking a 28-point lead. so, this was nikki haley in that speech she delivered at noon today, somewhat lengthy speech,

and the former president there on the ground there in greer, south carolina days ahead of the primary. nikki haley decided to go after trump and biden, said both are not good options. listen. >> the majority of americans don't just dislike one candidate, they dislike both. the only candidate who's helping joe biden is donald trump. because trump is the only republican biden can beat. >> sandra: seemed to be the strategy. >> i think she has a point. though her speech, she attempted to say all donald trump support from the party elite. that's i think the opposite is the case. the support is from the republican voters where she's weak. that said, what people are missing about the speech, she was saying i am the best republican that can defeat biden. everyone is focusing on her

♪ you don't... ♪ ♪ you don't have to worry... ♪ >> sandra: a live look at the pentagon briefing room as any moment we will be hearing a response from the pentagon to the escalation between the u.s. navy and houthi rebels. they have launched more than a dozen drones in the past two days. robert greenway, former senior director of the national security council, his thoughts in moments, but first jennifer griffin is live at the pentagon. any signs the houthis are slowing down? >> definitely no sign they are slowing down. in fact, the british ship that john mentioned is likely to sink if it has not sunk already. the situation in the red sea is dramatically escalating. u.s. centcom says two u.s. owned vessels sustained minor damage

yesterday, houthi attacks, because of houthi attacks near the gulf of aden. on monday, the houthis fired two anti-ship ballistic missiles at the mvc champion, a u.s. owned greek flag bulk carrier. it was carrying grain to yemen. in 24 hours, shot down ten one-way attack drones. the houthis fired a u.s. cruise missile which a destroyer shot down. u.s. central command said they presented imminent threats to u.s. navy ships and merchant vessels in the region. these actions will protect navigational rights and freedoms and make international waters safer and more secure for u.s. navy and merchant vessels. this is the first time ballistic missile have been used like this, being fired by the iran-backed proxy at specific

sea targets, including u.s. navy ships which carry hundreds of sailors in a densely packed space. an official says if the houthis hit a naval vessel and kill u.s. sailors, many fear is only a matter of time, the war between the u.s. and iran would no longer be a proxy war and would escalate quickly. and the campaign approved by the white house, since january the u.s. has carried out self-defense strikes almost daily. on monday, the u.s. war planes destroyed a one-way attack drone and surface to air missile moments before the houthis launched them at passing ships in the red sea. and now, sandra, we have video of the downed u.s. mq9 reaper drone, thanks to the houthis. a senior official says initial indications suggest it was shot down off the coast of western

yemen using a surface to air missile. sandra. >> sandra: jennifer, thank you. john. >> john: bring in robert greenway, director of the heritage center for national defense and former senior director of the national security council. we are hitting the houthis, military is, and yet they continue to fire back rockets and shoot drones at us. 13 of them in the last couple of days. as jennifer pointed out, took down another u.s. drone. does the biden administration need to change tactics here? >> there's no doubt. the math does not work here. iranian calculation is, they incur no costs associated with the material support. looking at a $2,000 drone, or 20,000 ballistic or cruise missile launched at a ship and we are responding with 2 million reaper. providing resources to iran and the houthis and until we make the calculation shift and impose economic costs on the iranian, they have resources to bear and

the houthis will use it. >> john: this is not just taking out proxies attacking u.s. forces, you have to go to the head of the snake this time. >> no question about it. and probably less than a dozen officials are training and equipping and controlling and directing the attacks and the complicated equipment being deployed and i would argue and have argued that is where we ought to look to counter. houthis can bear the cost, that's their purpose. the iranians and the forces on the ground in yemen, that's another matter. >> john: united nations security council called for a ceasefire, calling for a temporary ceasefire and called for the idf not to go into rafah. israel says unless we go into rafah we are not going to eradicate hamas. is biden starting to go wobbly

on israel? >> i think he has been wobbly on israel. you don't go to the u.n. for concrete actions, they are not capable of it. but does demonstrate broader intent. in the end, israel's calculation is correct, must go to rafah or like last time repeat or risk repeat of another attack like october 7th if they don't. >> john: dig a little deeper into that. u.s. resolution says in part, under current circumstances a major ground offensive into rafah would result to further harm to civilians and displacement potentially into neighboring countries. biden has said israel has to destroy hamas but if they don't go into rafah, a good chance hamas will survive. that just not just setting israel up for generations more bloodshed. >> it is. no way to destroy hamas if they are left in command and control, and the battalions remain at the

border crossing in rafah, i think it's required. and americans were killed on october 7th as well as israelis, and accountability needs to be required. and there is an alternative, the they could surrender and offer up hamas as exchange, but if not, israel has no choice but to go finish the job. >> john: we have not heard a lot about the americans killed. israel has ultimatum to israel, turn over the hostages before ramadan or full scale in rafah. >> the leverage they have remaining and important they hold on to it and their objective is make israel look like the offending party and they are going to use the circumstances to lay all the blame on israel as it conducts the operation. israel is trying to force it on hamas, but ultimately their dilemma, too. >> john: the former ambassador

centcom is looking into that but i don't believe it has been recovered at this time. >> sandra: we'll continue to monitor this update from the pentagon and the briefing. obviously looking for response there and an update from the pentagon on those houthi rebel drone strikes as the news continues. we are going to continue to monitor this. jen griffin getting a round of questions in there. we'll bring you the news as we get it, john. >> john: the world's busiest airport makes a major change to clamp down on homeless people hanging out in the terminals. jonathan serrie is at the airport, how bad has the problem gotten there? >> john, in recent months on a cold night you could see as many as 300 homeless people sleeping here in the atrium of the main terminal at hartsfield jackson atlanta international airport. because it's a public space, there were limits what police

could do. city council has revised a loitering area to close the area 24/7 to the general public but exceptions for personnel, tic tickets passengers. >> everyone is welcome, transacting business at the airport. >> so no changes for the average traveller, but allowing access only to people conducting business at the airport raises concerns for some advocates for the homeless. >> the sort of criminalization, arresting people, that may help the airport's problem, but will not help the community's problem, it's going to make the community's problem worse. >> but city officials say the revised ordinance leaves arrest as a last resort, in fact it spells out that police must

your own door for them to get out. >> such a blurred line between tenant rights and squatter rights and because of the way the law is perceived, it's allowing people to set up residence in a home and sometimes i've run into situations where the family just went on vacation and come home and there's someone there and they claim they have a lease. it's -- the laws are just so vague and law enforcement is not allowed to, you know, figure out who is a tenant, who is a squatter, so with the absence of that, they just have to say they live there and law enforcement can just has to, you know, their only option is to refer to civil court. >> sandra: i want to dig into more of that. i still think it's an incredibly confusing think to think. you go on vacation, somebody trespasses and enters your home, starts living in it and you legally can't do anything about it like call the cops and say somebody is in my house? this is just some of what we are

hearing from some of the squatting victims in georgia. they spoke to our own lawrence jones about their problem. >> how did you get in the house? >> they gave us, they showed us the house, gave us key and everything. >> you think you were scammed as well? >> they told us we were scammed, police told us we were scammed. >> broken into the property, putting these ads on craigslist and then they are taking people's money for deposits and rents and then they don't get access to the property so that's another thing of them getting scammed. >> sandra: now my mind is officially blown. so the squatter is claiming to be the victim as well, some of these squatters are saying they were told that they could occupy a house that they didn't know was already occupied? >> yes. i mean, that is something that's happening, you know, people talk about like online craigslist, things like that. and you know, and they are a victim, but just like if you were, you know, receive a stolen automobile you are still -- that

car is still taken from you. the house should still be taken and you know, they should be going after the person that conned them as well. and it is common. >> sandra: as far as this, you know, reform act to cut down on the problem, they want to clarify that squatting is criminal trespassing, again, seems obvious but needs to happen, make it a police matter not a civil court case which it is today and make any fake lease an additional crime. so do you think this is gonna work? i think some of us are shocked to know this is becoming such a big problem and a trend. >> yes, so all of those things you mentioned are things that i have talked about and proposed. one of the things that will make it successful is there has to be a clear distinction between squatter rights and tenant rights. there has to be, you know, basically it needs to be a criminal offense and i agree, it needs to go to the courts.
