>> steve: as we just mentioned 1:$08 ago the u.s. supreme court at 10:00 this morning is expected to issue at least one ruling. we know that for sure. >> ainsley: and it could be on the colorado case to determine whether or not former president donald trump can be kicked offer the state's primary ballot. >> brian: madeleine rivera has more. maddy? >> madeleine: good morning, guys. the supreme court announced one or more opinions will be reissed at 10:00 a.m. as per usual practice we don't know which one. court almost issues decisions on days the judges are expected to take the bench. this time the justices will not be doing that they are not scheduled to return to the courtroom until march 15th raising speculation that a ruling on the colorado case colorado super tuesday. during arguments last month the supreme court appeared skeptic

news, former president donald trump's main republican opponent nikki haley is heading into super tuesday on the heels of her very first historic primary win the former governor south carolina winning in washington, d.c. yesterday. trump still maintaining a lead against nikki haley in the delegate count now at 244 to her 43. >> brian: will there be a knockout glow tuesday night. despite the lead she sin cysts staying in for the long haul now says she might not even support the republican nominee if she loses. >> so you are no longer bound by that pledge? >> no. i think i will make what decision i want to make. that's not something i'm thinking about. >> brian: different g.o.p. now. >> steve: so she dodged that question. both candidates on the republican side now look toward tomorrow's huge super tuesday with voters in 15 states, including colorado, which we were just talking about, heading to the polls. and a total of 874 delegates, about a third all republicans

out for grabs. >> brian: all right. let's go over to lawrence. lawrence, let's dive into the polling. >> lawrence: hey, good morning, family. i want onto bring y'all attention to different polling. the first three are going to tell a similar story. let's go to the fox news poll right here. you got joe biden at 47%. and donald trump at 49% amongst voters right now. and then you go over to the "wall street journal." a similar story. if the election were held today from whom would you vote for? donald trump is leading with 47% of the vote. and then you go to the "new york times" and that siena polling, a similar story but now the president, the former president is leading the current president by 4 points with 48% of the vote. but this is the stunning news. when you go over to black supporters, which is a lot of contention right now with the democratic party, donald trump gets 23% of the black vote. that's up 19% from 2020. a game changesser if the former president could do that.

but this shocked everyone. when you look at hispanic support, the democrats have been pandering to the hispanic community saying open borders, that is what is going to win the hispanic vote. but it looks like donald trump is getting 46% of the hispanic vote. alarms must be going off in the white house right now when you have all of these minority groups and when you look at the overall tally going to donald trump. >> ainsley: i wonder why that is? do you think it's a lot of cubans in south florida know what it's like to live in a communist country they came here the right way? >> brian: not enough. >> lawrence: hispanics at large are pretty conservative. texas and florida and they don't like what is happening at the border. i think it's disrespectful to them because they did it the legal way. then you have the black residents when you look at the unemployment figures, it's hitting them and they don't like what is happening at the border it's being brought to chicago, harlem, boston, all these areas where they once supported

out and vote tomorrow because right now it odoes look like it's going to be a trump vs. biden matchup like right there. but, we started this by mentioning the fact that nikki haley won the d.c. primary yesterday. and her campaign put out a statement i didn't realize that but yesterday nikki haley became the first woman to win a republican primary in u.s. history. and it sounds as if campaign is thinking tomorrow in super tuesday they have real good chance in virginia. the suburbs around northern virginia, around washington, d.c. are very haley friendly. >> lawrence: i will be interested to see what the number one issue, as you all know, has been the border. i don't think anybody was surprised by. this you got raúl ortiz, the former head of the border patrol says he hasn't talked to the president at all about the border. he is now retired, but this is what he had to say.

some of the victims are now seeking compensation. firefighters continuing to fight the smokehouse creek fire as strong winds and dry conditions are feeding into that fire as of yesterday it was only 15% contained. so far it has scorched more than a million acres in the state of texas and thousands ever acres in oklahoma. at least two people are dead and a new blaze that ignited yesterday forcing some residents to evacuate. the malaysian government might reopen its search for airlines flight nh 370. a decade after it disappeared over the indian ocean. a u.s.-based firm has now been invited to join the latest search to evaluate new evidence that could shed some light on the plane's disappearance. the malaysian airlines flight vanished on march 8th, 2014. now to college basketball. iowa's caitlin clark making history breaking the ncaa's all-time scoring record during the final home game of her career.

dangerous parts of doing this work. any time dealing with these, you know you are going in dealing with people that are armed that, are dangerous. and usually when you confront them, there's going to be some sort of encounter. we saw that back in 2010 when brian terry was murdered by a rip crew and now we just saw it again where a gun battle erupted in this particular case. but, what's amazing about this is normally when we're dealing with rip crews, it's normally a little bit inside the united states. while people are trying to evade apprehension. these people have become so emboldened that they are doing it right in front of our cameras. they are doing it pre-trial people are on the border and we get all the footage. that's why our bortac is out there. we have had several instances where rip crews have been robbing and stealing from migrants right in front of the cameras. the bortac unit was deployed. and, unfortunately, this is -- this was the fallout from this. >> these guys are so bold they thought they could take on

bortac. not good day for them. one of them was killed on the scene. brandon the overall criminal element though. migrants criminal convictions apprehended by border patrol. it's been over 6,000 of them. can you talk to the severity of what is going on? especially now you got new polling saying that many folks are calling an emergency, 41% of americans say it's an emergency. can you talk about the criminal elements that border patrols are having to deal with now? >> yeah, what is crazy about that number. that 6,000 number that's just what we know of. those are people with criminal records here in the united states or having interpol hit. we don't know their criminal records in their own countries. we don't have access to these databases. so these individuals that could be crossing our borders illegally. they could be murderer s rapist. we know we are dealing with potential murderers and rapists that have criminal records in the united states. we don't know what it is in the

other countries. that's the really dangerous aspect of border security. that's the problem when we can't vet these people. when we're dealing with 45,000, 6,000, 7,000 apprehensions every single day. you are not going to be able to properly vet them before they are released into the united states and that's why we are seeing a crime surge here. that's why you are seeing all the robberies in new york city. that's why you are seeing and this is so unfortunate the laken riley incident. that he was why we are seeing all of the crime that is coming from our border into the united states. look, lawrence, it's really frustrating to every single one of us. we could get this control tomorrow and all it would cost us is proper policy. >> lawrence: so glad you brought up laken rile lift. the mayorkas was asked about her and this is what he said about the illegal immigrant in the country. he said they didn't know. watch. >> should man have been deported. >> one individual is responsible for the murder and that is the

murderer. and we work very closely with state and local law enforcement to ensure that individuals who pose a threat to public safety are, indeed, our highest priority for detention and removal. >> was there a breakdown in the system. >> if a city is aware of an individual who poses a threat to public safety, then we would request that they provide us with that information so that we can ensure that that individual is detained. we were not notified in this instance. >> lawrence: essentially being deceptive, brandon, because they don't work with sanctuary cities. and the white house supports sanctuary cities. >> it really makes me sick every single thing that you heard from him right there. he said if there is a threat to public safety. that's a huge definition what could be a threat to public safety. what one person considers a threat. compared to another person. it doesn't matter. every single person that gets arrested in the united states by law enforcement here.

conclusion and say yeah, that's good for america. let the voters decide. i think that's the fundamentally these politicians, they work for the voters. and if the voters can't vote for who they want to, then there is something fundamentally wrong. >> brian: right. look, he hasn't been convicted. he hasn't been charged with this. if this happens and they say yeah you can kick anybody off your ballot. that's going to happen in oklahoma against the democrat. it's going to happen in red states. they are going to decide, do you know what? that guy is a little radical to me and that woman out to lunch. they will be off the ballot. it will be the worst precedent possible. see what happens told. probably give the former president more power gets a court case win. it's almost like winning a primary in my view. the other big story is what happened last week and that is s the supreme court decided to take the immunity case. should a president be immune are from a criminal case for what he did when he was in office. january 6th he was in office. here's what jamie raskin said.
