you are now approaching war with iran. we talked about the deterrence. they will not stop until we make a dramatic move against the iranians. the drones in the missiles, they are not going to get them from a local toys "r" us. they are getting them from iran. we have to send that message. >> the message that they are sending in the meantime if they want a cease-fire in gaza. if they want a cease-fire in gaza, is hamas holding hostages in gaza and if netanyahu is determined to annihilate and gaza, what and how can this deadly puzzle be solved? >> it is not through a cease-fire. it is foolish to say we will go to a six month sees fire to try to get the remaining hostages. they do worry about life. they have pushed back.

when we keep pushing for a cease-fire it is a big mistake. we start the holy month and actually start that sunset tonight when the moon comes out. they will have to do something. we have created a scene. this administration, this president, president biden has created a scene with the israelis. adversaries see them. when you are working with an ally, you should have no scenes. we stand with the nation of israel. hamas started this fight, they killed americans, they took americans hostages and crimes we have not seen since 1945. we need to stand with benjamin that yahoo! the leader of israel as long as it takes for them to finish the job. we have not done that. we have created your problems for them. worrying about civilians

1:14 pm
there? >> he has now said what the real problem is. reconstitute. build their forces back up and they will do that with a cease fire. that is the absolute worst thing that you could deal. they are not doing that. terrorist organization, we should understand that. short-term cease-fire, okay. just left israel. they are not going in that direction. >> let's not forget that they started this with their barbaric terror attacks on israel on october 7. meanwhile the residual suffering continues as you all know. scores of palestinian people are starving to death. those hostages, those people still being held. the families are just living this nightmare. how, i know you just said to me
1:15 pm
that the bottom line is you cannot let hamas regenerate there are casualties of war. you feel like that is just the way that it is. is there any way to make a terrorist pay and stop the human toll? >> they will have to reduce and eliminate them and then you can start to build back and build back and away to create better humanitarian conditions. this is a hard fact. 85% thought october was good. reconstituting and redeveloping that. they will have to bring palestinian people back into the fold. remember, it took them 12 years to reunite the south with the north. almost 10 years to get germany up to world war ii back.
1:16 pm
the same thing here in japan. this is something we have to look out long-term. this makes everything short-term they need to look at a long-term plan. economic military and diplomatic as well. they are not doing it. the cease-fire is short-term. short over the long period of time. five years 10 years 15, 20 years right now i think that we should support israelis as hard as we can. finish the job and then you can go onto the next thing he had i think it's important to understand. war is a terrible business. israel did not start this fight >> i will leave it there. thank you very much. eric. >> much closer to home. the u.s. military today
