democrats are turning on one another with the crime. they have to deal with this. a growing problem to the point they can't look away anymore. >> it is emblematic of the schism in the democratic party these days on criminal justice issues in particular. those who want to govern moderately and be perceived as moderates but a very progressive wing which has a lot of energy and very vocal these days committed to what he with talked about last week, which is defund, destroy, deflect. they had that opening post george floyd. they took advantage of that. you had in new york, for instance, all the criminal justice reforms were written by the defense bar. no law enforcement input there. so now you are seeing the results. they destroyed their municipalities and now deflect mode because it's an election

year. >> dana: in san francisco they made changes in terms of what they wanted. they did the same in d.c. last week. new york is starting. kathy hochul wouldn't do this for no reason. politics are involved. could it actually change? if you were to get rid of the progressive d.a.s, how quickly might you see crime go down or people feel a little bit more like the quality of life gets better? >> you would see it quickly. there are a number of other things that our elected decisions made here that also need to be undone. among them is the sanctuary status. because migrant crime will continue to be a thing. it is a thing. then we'll have to start to look at ways to not only incarcerate but deport. venezuela doesn't take them back. then we have to come up with a work around for that. maybe they have to go to federal prison on big rico cases because it is an organized entity. there are other things that really do need to be done. of course, the first thing that needs to be done as you say is get the progressive d.a.s to do

their jobs. the problem is, in a number of these places particularly in new york they have baked into cake the fact that we can't do that much prosecution. why? because they are closing jails here in new york, ryker's will be closed over the next couple of years. we'll go down without any resource by half. you think we're not looking up anybody now? imagine cutting our criminal justice incarcerations by half. that's where we're going to be. consider that. >> sandra: it's a big warning. >> dana: thanks, i guess. good to get the information out there. >> sandra: a big day looming on capitol hill tomorrow. special counsel robert hur will testify before the house panel laying out his findings on president biden's mishandling of classified documents. david spunt is live at the justice department on what to expect. >> good morning. dana good morning. the hur report 345 pages, and it was clear right out of the gate that president biden would not

be charged with a crime. the report reads in part we conclude no criminal charges are warranted in this matter. we would reach the same conclusion even if department of justice policy did not foreclose criminal charges against a sitting president. it contains picture after picture of classified documents kept in torn and tattered boxes in the president's delaware garage. sensitive documents relating to afghanistan and his time as v.p. reads on page 223 there is evidence when mr. biden left office in 2017 he willfully retained his classified notebooks. he knew he kept classified information in notebooks stored in his house and he knew he was not allowed to do so. there are also sections of the hur report that call into question the president's memory quote he did not remember even within several years when his son beau died and his memory appeared hazy when describing the afghanistan debate that was once so important to him. source close to the special counsel tells fox news it was not robert hur that brought up

into a menace that will threaten our countries. what did we do? we made a decision to conduct an unconditional surrender. pulled out our three c.i.a. bases, seven military basis shut down and we said we will still maintain contact with afghanistan over the horizon. an eight hour flight by an airplane to get there. eight hours to return is not much capability trying to keep your eyes and ears on what is going on. this is a menace that's growing. it is attacking inside of afghanistan. it is beginning to attack the region and it will grow into a menace that can attack europe and the united states. that is what we brought on ourselves by that awful decision. you mentioned president trump. yes, he destroyed the caliphate but what did he also do? kept forces in syria and in iraq where the caliphate was, minimum

zone inside urban centers. when the sound of the guns come people normally leave. hamas doesn't let them leave. israelis have moved them away as best as they can and it resulted in civilian casualties. the rose has to be pinned. the reason for the casualties is hamas. we have this thing twisted and blaming israel for that. it is not the case. israel has to finish this. dana, what they are about supported by the iranians is make the security situation inside israel for the israeli people, make that so vulnerable that people don't want to live there. that's what this is all about. if we let hamas live again because we don't destroy the remaining battalions and their leaders they will rearm and reattack and make israel vulnerable once again and erodes the state of israel.
