up in the fund raising they've spent tons of money 50 million plus is the figure on -- legal fees. but he's got some new arrangements going on with rnc their numbers ticked up but way behind joe biden and hasn't had to campaign and didn't have a season to go through and coughers are through and issue when you can get the message out and air waves to spngd the money so i think trump team is aware of ground they have to make up and how tough it would be for that money to have to go to the judgment instead of where they would like to spend on the campaign trail but my question is i'm wongsdering when the legal team and fight this all the way to the supreme court. but i'm a little bit surprised they have not gone there yet and waiting for interim courts to rule so they can say we have exhausted their opportunities but you know back in 2019 justice ruth bader ginsburg applies to the states and she even has language in that

decision that talks about -- using this to silence political enemies so i think his team if they eventually get there will have that strong argument. >> can i talk to you about the politics i want to bring you back to that, obviously, this look like it is communist you're trying to imprison and bankrupt your political opponent. the democrats are about are it doesn't look good on that front for sure. but then there's also the other point where it makes you look weak -- that you have to do this that you're not able to just -- you're talked about coughers like the democrat coughers are full because donald trump has had to spend money trying to fight off his opponent so at some point, you know, you just look weak when you can't fight man to man at the ballot box and you have to tie donald trump's hands like this in law fair -- >> i think that's been the winning argument for the last year former president hoping he will be again the president. but for now the former president this is the message he's had

over and over again at his rallies for a year plus. because it was about a year ago that alvin bragg was first to indict him. and ever since then he's had this advantage in fundraising, against his primary opponents he's had the polling advantage because he will go to people and say, this is why they're trying to take me out because they can't win at the ballot box strong argument for those rallying to him. i think there's the optics of this you pointed out that attorney general is going after properties potentially we think in westchester i think about the fact if they went after hill in new york took the name off of the trump tower that is a big optical situation i think they're going try to avoid because it sends that message to other people doing business in new york like president trump and his supporters have said, this is a places that going to be hostile to you. if you take down icon or trump tower right there in the middle of the city i think that invites backlash that maybe attorney general doesn't want. >> like another mug shot photo that ended up rallyings people.

after political opponent. you know, and at some point it sort of undermines justice in this country. >> that's the argument that trump and all of those codefendants in the case down in georgia are making. because they're going to say listen even if she wasn't disqualified from the case willis has taken hits and there's trouble seating jury that doesn't know all about this and you have a number of people pointing to what happened there and also -- the judge is allowing those defendants down there to appeal his disqualification decision on fani willis a number of other investigations going won the state senate other potential legal, you know, bar organizations that sort of thing so not completely out of the woods yet and going to proceed with this case and whether the former president wins again or not it is a state case. it can't pardon himself from it he's going to have to deal probably with fani willis at some point. >> all of these cases realize

surgery insight with dr. siegel so great to have you here on this sunday so you saw the video you're seeing her, and she's given a few clues along the way in that statement. based on what you saw and heard what is your guess as to what she might be facing? is it ovarian cancer some said colon any thoughtings on that? >> yeah rachel but i want to start by saying that video she shows with daffodils behind her strength resilience and life sends a great message to the world and also early diagnosis that you can find cancer when you're looking for something else get it out early, and treat it early with chemotherapy every few weeks for several weeks. she's facing it with great optimism. as to what it is, oncologists around the country i've talked about this country and london have said to me they think it

could earl be colon because ab abdominal surgery as having a ob/gyn procedure and found it after the fact pathology can show that. but you know the question here is beyond that because i think the more information she gives more people can learn. but certainly as i've said we've already learned here about early diagnosis about hope, about going on with your life but we immediate to learn about privacy too and about not intruding on people's lives and people even royals deciding what they want to admit and when. now it was world down syndrome day no week and you had valentina your beautiful daughter on "fox & friends" doing pilates you are sending about life and celebration and millions saw that. and heard that and it was so important and saved a lot of lives. she's in that same position here. rachel: she's going to have an incredible platform to talk

about cancer, and also about the support that's needed for those around it. one person as a layperson i'm not a doctor but she said she's undergoing preventive chemotherapy but i saw her luscious full hair and i thought well -- that's not what i think about when i think about chemotherapy what did you think? >> well that's true. so there's two points there first is people should know that preventive chemotherapy is done when you get it all out you hear chemo but it is agavant more optimism about what this means very good prognosis now you mention her hair. there's two different types if she had a gyn cancer on one that causes you to lose your hair and colon you would be on different

chemo -- 5fu that doesn't cause you to lose your hair and seems to look like she has her hair and implying more of a gi type of cancer. then you would be wearing a wig with taxall. >> go ahead i'm sorry -- >> no it is still something that it's up to her to disclose and then we, you know, then we give more information. rachel: agreed in general give us a last thought on the kind of support that anyone who has a diagnosis with cancer what kind of support can those around them provide? >> i think the family is first as always. and i think that her family has risen to the occasion, i mean, i don't to talk about prince harry but, i mean, william and the king, they've really -- and this great sentiment pouring from around the world in england and u.k. here wishing her well.

filed original lawsuit accusing the biden administration of colluding with big tech when he was still missouri attorney general. he joins us now senator schmitt. >> great to e sou -- see you. >> you said earlier you felt like arguments went well in the supreme court. but it also sounds like the justices were somewhat skeptical of the case. where do you think it stands right now? >> well i think a case of this gravity which is the most important free speech certainly case in our lifetime perhaps and u.s. history you should expect some tough questions. but i think it is tricky to read too much into oral arguments, i mean, truth of the matter is a lot of cases that you'll hear where you think questioning goes one particular way from one particular justice that ultimate decision goes another way. seen that happen both ways ultimately these cases are decided on the briefs that are submitted in the record and the good news here, when i was a.g. before we got the political their injunction hearing because

we wanted district court level that was affirmed at the circuit court there's 20,000 plus pages in that record of e-mails and texts and correspondents in discussions of special portals censorship meetings, you know all of these threats that were latened if you don't take this down or else when the court attacks this in and laid before the issue their decision probably some time in june they're going to see a vast censorship enterprise this wasn't a one off thing and wasn't one official saying something publicly. this was trying to crush desent that anybody who questioned the narrative of the bideen administration particularly on covid whether on masks or the vaccine or on the lab leak theory any of those thing they were down at the best of, you know, the, you know, some of the highest rank government officials in our country by way of some of the biggest social media companies in world so -- my hope that the supreme court

sees it the same way that lower courts did. >> my only concern you're speaking in past tense i'm afraid it is still ongoing just through different mechanisms but i hate to ask you about -- you know, a viral moment from the oral arguments because you say you're -- but i think this was a important moment to i wanted to get your reaction i was appalled by statement and questioninom justice brown jackson when she said you're really hamstringing the government here, and it was my understanding and i only did three years of law school. but -- it's three years -- but that's the point like, that's not only point the first amendment but point of bill of rights and point of constitution to hamstring. >> founders were well aware of the authoritarian regimes right that wanted to crush decent and very first amendment of our constitution of the bill of rights was so say that government doesn't have anything to say of restricting what you can say or what you can hear or

what you can believe. and that goes to the heart of it so i think this was revealing question but it also -- gives us an opportunity i think to rekindle what should be something that you know unifies human expression it is a pressure release valve for a free society to get these opinions out and that government can't restrict that also by the way one of the other plaintiff guys was doctor -- who talked about this implications on science. science depends on questioning assumptions. constantly pushing back, and so i think it is just really important for us to hold this first amendment dear. and protect it and that's what this case stands for as we're fully in the digital age now in the virtual town square where speech needs to be protected. rachel: you know i'm just so proud that you guys put this forward. this case forward. i think it is the most important free speech case in our lifetime. and i guess you said this should be a unifying moment.

i agree. but i've been sort of confused as to why classic liberals aren't concerned about this. why it feels like this is a left versus right issue -- why -- what's happened to our country if you can step back even from the case a little bit. what is happening to the country and -- to people in general that free speech isn't something we can all come together and be in favor of. that one side has so much power inside of the government that -- that censorship industrial complex they think they own it? that you know, that they're not onboard with free speech? >> yeah listen, i'm old enough and you're old enough to remember when liberals actually believed in free speech. and somewhere along the way, they lost the plot. and you started seeing it on college campuses where, you know, conservatives were kind of put into the upper bleachers if they have negative to say

speakers, being disinvited now you see it fully weaponized in a ways by again biden administration wanting to stop any sort of decent and this is dangerous. if you take a step back to your question this is a very dangerous thing so i think -- the democrats hear not all of them but the left certainly has crossed the rubicon on this and all about power and control it is not abouts marketplace of ideas and persuasion but it is about power and control and covid revealed this and talk about power corrupting but revealed and covid revealed fact that these folks it was just about aggregating an exercise in power. put the mask on. you know, or take the darn shot whatever they were saying nobody could question. and i think that this is defining moment for our country who are we going to be because free speech gets to what it is to be an american without fear of adverse repercussions from the government we saw that on full display on covid and on the

year. but on the other hand i read interpreter is ostracized by his family at this point which i guess suggest he's potentially guilty of theft. i mean, what do you think like is this theft or covering for ohtani what's going on? >> well, good morning, will i think the bigger issue is lying one time you say well, ohtani paid this off, and put in loan, other time you're saying he has no knowledge and that opens it up. a bookie will let you run up debt if he knows ohtani is behind you i assume that's part of the problem why be the bookie allow this guy to ring up this kind of debt, in fact, if that is true. the guy, bookie knew that ohtani was behind and somebody could pay this debt. the bigger problem, though, is the lying. you go from ohtani knew he set payments told to put loan in there. to oh, no ohtani doesn't know it was awful he didn't have a clue

and hates betting and you know this, will. in every major league, whether it is baseball, football, basketball, college football or basketball there's a sign don't bet on it and goes through what you lose if you do. basically your career. that's where major league baseball comes in. and major league baseball has no choice here. because of the lying -- and one way or the other, this is going to get sorted out. now i would imagine major league baseball will do everything to protect ohtani he's their superstar but who knows where this goes. will: we have to get down to the truth i don't know if we can trust internal investigation to get down to the truth and there's crimes involved as well so may be other investigators -- if ohtani is like cleared or forgiven, i mean pete rose he has some things to say here. all pete should have done is an
