>> hi jon. united states geological survey has now recorded more than two dozen aftershocks since yesterday 4.8 magnitude earthquake. more could continue according to seismologist to say this was one of the largest earthquakes in the northeast and the last century. the earthquake epicenter was northwestern new jersey where the state's governor did several phone interviews. made several posts on social media but was out of town to the democratic governors association according to his public itinerary. critics now have this to say. >> our folks in new jersey really have to look to new york officials and what they were saying. even though the actual earthquake was centered in lebanon, new jersey in the northwestern part of the state. it would've been a nice simple if he came back and said everything is going to be okay. i'm going to personally review infrastructure it myself. see with the team has done and then he could have gotten back

you can see mar-a-lago behind me. tonight's fundraiser is actually at a private home here in palm beach. on the social media bit ago the trout call it the biggest night and a fund-raising of all time. itit said it will double up the divided number of last week at radio city. now trump is behind his competitor who raised a record $26 million at the new york city fundraiser last week. there is former presidents clinton and obama and attendance. hedge fund and billionaire jon paulson is hosting the event tonight. oil tycoon harold will be there and casino mogul steve wynn among the many big-time republican donors at tonight's event. some of trump's former rivals center tim scott, governor doug virga him will also be at the fundraiser tonight. trump is trying to close that big gap with biden who raised $187 million so far this year.

immigration and foreign policy, ultimately that's what will decide the race not fundraisers necessarily. jon: let's take a look at the way the race stance and some swing states. you point out it's not really a national election. various states have ernie pick their favorite. it comes down to basically seven states and we are looking at them. an arizona trump is up five, georgia up three, michigan he is up to paris north carolina eight, nevada, four, pennsylvania he is up three. the only state to the only one of the seven swing states that goes a blue right now is a wisconsin. do you want to take a whack at those numbers? >> the whack is, if that holds an donald trump take six of the seven swing states it will be an electoral landslide as you said and as i pointed out before national polls are essentially meaningless. it's the polls of those seven

states that matter you have to ask the question, what will change in terms of the sentiment on the ground in terms of inflation continuing to rise question of the wall street journal had a great report this week showing food prices for example bunch of people feel amo sets a session with the by every day is up 37% since 2019 for example but what is going to change in terms of violent crime? positive mass exodus out of major cities like san francisco and chicago in a place like florida, tennessee, texas where things are going to deteriorate or improve the u.s. border? that's a number what issue to voters dump donald trump is seen by decisive margin as a present who can better handle and fix that crisis. will the world get more or less stable over the next seven months? this is an election at this point solid majority of elections feel this country is going in the wrong direction. especially the swing states we just spoke about.

monday's total solar eclipse that will cross north america. it's been seven years since the last eclipse astronomer say the u.s. will not see the phenomenon again for another two decades but fox weather max gordon is live which will be in the path of totality on monday. >> excitement isn't growing across the path of totality. places that will be plunged into darkness as the moon crosses in front of the sun. we are done with mexico up through texas, northeast across the united states into canada. here in cleveland, ohio we will see totality between 3:13 p.m. local time through 3:17 p.m. the big question is whether or not mother nature will play along because the clouds are in the forecast. a lot of people are converging onto cleveland to see this eclipse. we talked to one guy from north carolina who says he is going to be happy to see whatever he can

see. take a listen. >> even if it's super cloudy i think we'll still see since we are in the path of totality will see it turning dark i think. i think it will still be cool regardless. when that moon completely blocks out the sun it essentially looks like a turn tonight for a bit and i am really excited to see that. >> multiple events will be happening downtown this weekend. of course on monday to commemorate the eclipse according to the city of cleveland between 1 140 and 200,000 people are expected to crowded parks and into the downtown areas. to put things in perspective the cities of the crowd expected here would be s of three browns games are going on simultaneously. here in the city of cleveland all of the city's sworn police forces will be working on monday to manage crowds and respond to service. go beat road closures, parking on some people are being urged to work from home to ease the congestion but limited cell service is also going to be an issue is so many people gathered

exactly where we want to be if we want to see anything. it can get a lot of people prepared to make sure they are in the right place at the right time to seat totality. because seeing totality is tremendously different than not being within the path of totality if you have 99% coverage, i think from a colleague i heard a fantastic way to describe this is like driving all the way to disney world and stopping at the gates. being in the path of totality is going to give us such a huge experience compared to being at 99% even. this covers a lot of north america. jon: you talk about people being able to see it we do have to stress it is not something you should just look up and stare at. >> that is true. if you are going to be looking at the total solar eclipse before totality this is really important, you need to have the special glasses. i have some here with me.

this is what you are looking for in particular these classes are going to let you seat nothing else. if you tried to wear them for driving your car this could be disastrous. looking at the sun however it will keep your eyes safe from harmful sunrays he would also run into view tried to look at the sun without these glasses. there are solar filters out there but it is important to note if you are using something it should be clear and you want to make sure it's an official cleared by the international standards organization. ask ordinary sunglasses are not going to cut it either. >> definitely not my prism the wild things from ordinary sunglasses to using dvds or cds to look at the sun. even people using old film. these are bad ideas and good ideas go down to your local museum on get a pair of solar eclipse glasses they'll let you safely view the sun you won't have to worry about anything. however, once totality hits so depending on where you are

southern border shows migrants trying to illegally cross through holes in the wall in new mexico. scouts transporting others ovary prayer mountain there. matt finn is live with the latest on the border crisis. >> hired jon but we are standing on mount christo rey right now. over the past day we have witnessed consistent illegal migrant activity here on this mountain, and a cat and mouse game between border patrol the scouts and the coyotes and the migrants they are trying to sneak into the united states for over the past day our cameras have caught scouts and coyotes looking down on us. monitoring us while running away from us and trying to conceal the groups of migrants that are with them. we only spent a few minutes on this mountain it ran right into a group of about 15 illegal migrants who walked right past us. also here in new mexico our crews have spotted many holes in our border wall. in fact we spotted two men trying to climb into one of the

jurors. but shortly thereafter chuck schumer for the first time in the history of our government is going to table the articles of impeachment. we are going to do everything we can to slow it down. got a few tricks up our sleeves but at the end of the day all he needs is a simple majority to table the articles of impeachment. again it's breaking all senate tradition can you imagine what would've happened in 2019 if the republican majority in the senate had tabled the impeachment articles on donald trump? i think this will have dire consequences in the future. jon: the democrats in the senate must not be paying attention to the fox news polling i was talking about earlier in the hour that suggested illegal immigration is one of voters are primary concerns this year. >> yes i can assure you americans number one worried not just a concern but their number one worry was the open southern border and the threat on their

own safety. in kansas we are seeing a young adult die everyday from fentanyl poisoning. we are using narcan 10 or 20 times every day played the mexican cartel, the chinese triad is going up and down our highways with not just the sentinel but with human trafficking. now they are setting up bases all across the state of kansas. every state is now a border state and it's killing our young adults. it is a tragedy this is on the back of joe biden. that is why we need to fire secretary mayorkas this weekend and 200 days of fire joe biden. that is the only way were ever going to get back to safety and security. jon: what if mayorkas is just doing what his boss tells him to? >> i think that is a great points bradys is doing exactly what his boss is telling him to do. that is why elections have consequences for this is exactly why we need to make sure the rest of the united states knows what's going on here. i am fearful half of america does not know how grave the situation is out there.
