new jersey yesterday here's trump talking about his -- his play on blue states. >> as you can see today, we're expanding the electoral map because we are going to officially play in the state of new jersey. we're going to win the state of new jersey. [applause] got a great group of people with us. incredible group of people we're also looking really great in the state of minnesota not won since 1952 and we're leading in the polls and the state of virginia. and actually many other -- i don't know could be all of them. this guy is so damn bad it could be all of them. he's so bad, i think we're going to win them all. all across america, millions of people so-called blue states are joining our movement based on love, intelligence, and the thing called -- common sense.
5:05 am
[cheering] rachel: not so common these days. pete: everything from the biden administration is rejection of basic decency in common sense across the board. rachel: amen. pete: we talked about it in earlier hour joe biden was in a closed meeting with high dollar donors in seattle yesterday. mumbling about nonsense and donald trump in an angry way may have been interrupted by protesters there who knows. where as a hundred thousand people in new jersey without a single protester -- with a spirit of enthusiasm and love talking about hey we remember when this guy was president and we want him back again. i don't know if new jersey and minnesota are over virginia but if you're playing offense that's a good sign. if democrats feel like they may be forced to defend smflt those places this is what he could be doing across the country if he wasn't stuck in a courtroom in new york which is their whole campaign strategy right now. make no mistake about it. democrats campaign strategy is courtroom.

5:07 am
is converted from the democratic party it is fantastic, of course, other than what you're just saying about the -- democrat strategy to keep him off the campaign trail or jail him or bankrupt him and -- humiliate him. other big strategy is -- for joe biden to talk less which is probably their smartest strategy. >> what other one do they have? charles: so they want to hide their candidate and this is what donald trump is doing. that right there, that juxtaposition should tell you all you need to know. rachel: reviving by the way a lot of his old lines. he's talking about beautiful coal again and make america energy dependent all things that working americans care about. joe biden as you said, pete is over in a high dollar big donor meeting talking about donald trump. >> as caroline levitt says care
5:08 am
about feeding families you're assaulting family's ability to take care of the family, then, then you're not doing anything for moms. >> he said choice for new jersey and pennsylvania is simple. this is donald trump if you want lower costs, higher income and more weekends down at the shore, let's go down at the shore. that was the energy that you got yesterday. pete: to talk about this and so much more bring in benjamin hall correspondent thanks for being here. we mention the contrast of these two campaigns. biden was in seattle talking at a fund raiser here's a portion of what he said about what's happening in -- with israel and hamas. joe biden said this at the fundraiser look before i begin let me answer a question related to the hostage i keep getting asked by press and folks out there a cease-fire tomorrow if hamas would release the elderly and wounded as i said it is up
5:09 am
to hamas if they could do it they would and cease-fire would begin tomorrow and it has to do we've not anyway i don't know -- i guess i shouldn't get into all of this. he tailed off on that one. jonathon or benjamin. but what's your take good to see you. >> look, he is right. if hamas released hostages then yes this may well be over. but important upon the is how do you? the israelis are clearly saying it is through military pressure. they need to sengsd the message to the hamas and unless release hostages there's going to be a huge ramifications for them and the big question now president biden is talking about withholding weapons many in israel are saying that's taking pressure off hamas. why does hamas have to release hostages if they feel they're in a better position. that's interesting thing to do right now and many people are rejecting to withholding weapons because it is not going to get hostages back and cease-fire talks haven't worked that's been tried. ahead of the cia burns flew back
5:10 am
from egypt so the idea that talks are going to help get hostages released that's not happening either. so israelis are saying only way toened this now is to go in and get the militants. >> so you have the strange situation now where president biden is saying no i'm only going to support israel in terms of protecting itself well the whole campaign began after october 7th as offensive operation in defense of the country to go after hamas. so how can you -- how does a president pivot from saying, oh i support, you know, we support your effort to defend yourselves. but then turn it around to now you only support a iron dome or something like that. >> it is a remarkable position they're trying to place themselves in. they don't want to take either side. on one hand they're not saying we will give israel whatever it needs on the other hand we have a reporter that released earlier this week that said they might be committing war crimes but
5:11 am
we're not going say they will. so many are saying out of the white house make your position clear. which side are you on a lot of people again in israel are saying we're not certain right now but one thing is clear, and that is that the israelis are not really being listening that much to the white house. they are going ahead with what they think is the best way forward. and the white house is offering two thing they're offering a carrot and offering a stick they're offering stick by saying we'll take back weapons but they have said also and this is in "the washington post" yesterday they would if israel held back from rafa they would key intelligence that help israel find the hamas tunnels and leaders. go things, why haven't they given that intelligence over already? which is remarkable secondly are they using this intelligence as leverage so really interesting news that came out yesterday the way that biden administration is trying to somehow, you know -- encourage israelis but they should be giving that intelligence from day one. >> incredible. just a shock benjamin by the

5:14 am
as world most dominant military. morale is at an all time low. not one member of the nco or lieutenants those are jr. leaders whom he's serving going to extend their army careers. my son believed in a concept of warriors when he applied anticipated a permanent career. but lack and the condition of the morale and quality of the materials has ended that. i want to thank you for underscoring the problems in the military. that's why i wrote the book the war on warriors june 4th got first copies preorder it now because we're losing a generation of young men who are -- who do believe in valor and duty and love the country and want to serve but then they get in their units and see all of this nonsense and they said i signed up to kill bad guys not to -- play dei games or gender games or quota games or not be trained properly because we're spending trains time on something else and so they're leaving. that's a really dangerous sign
5:15 am
for the future of our military. >> writing the book was both inspirational and depressing because i talked to many who are in the military. i got pushed out of the military because they deemed me extremist you'll find that out in the book. so there's a buy -- maddening with what it's turned into and parents who e-mail me and text me saying same tune. it is just not the military it used to be. now, a new commander in chief named donald trump, can clear house by firing a lot of generals who have gone woke along with the social engineering nonsense and then we would still need our patriotic young people to join. so it is not a ranks full of wokesters. >> but your book has a lot of prescriptions what tods and what a new president can do to
