>> welcome to this special edition of hannity. i'm jason in for sean and tonight we begin with the headline for the new york post editorial board. trump will win if he does more speeches like the 1 in the bronx. just 24 hours ago former president held a rally in front of thousands of bronx residents from all walks of life but instead of tearing them down with a divisive doom and gloom speech like joe biden trump champion the people of new york and promised a brighter future for all. have a look. >> i'm here tonight to declare we are going to turn new york city around and we are going to turn it around very, very quickly. new york was rain came to make it a big. you want to it big you have to be in new york but sadly this is now a city in decline.
6:02 pm
we have filthy encampments of drugged out homeless people living in our places that we spend so much time with children, low they used to play. we have lunatics killing innocent bystanders by pushing them onto the railroad tracks for sport. don't worry. it gets positive. remember we are going to win. we are going to win so big we are going to make it bigger and better than ever before. >> as of tonight trump is only down by single digits in deep blue new york and after a rally like that in the bronx the mainstream media are very worried. havelock. >> former president donald trump held her campaign rally in new york city the democratic stronghold where he is widely unpopular. you talk to a bronx park to recite some of his most familiar talking points. spee reports the crowd like and what kind of response to get? >> certainly bigger crowd than
6:03 pm
democrats would like to see given this is 1 of the blues counties in the entire country. i wasn't sure what to expect. i've gone to a lot of rallies across the country and they are often people who travel hundreds of miles to see donald trump and they are not necessarily part of the community. 1 of the things that i found was that there were a lot of people here that were from the bronx. >> this is part of his outreach that he's trying to make a case in communities all across the country especially in the swing states areas like detroit atlanta parts of the country where a little bit of change in the feeling of certain commodities 1 way or another could ultimately decide this election. >> it's unclear if the current president joe biden will visit the bronx. he doesn't like to get too far away from delaware. of course that's where you'll find him this memorial day weekend in delaware. here with reaction fox news contributor joe konjuh and project 21 chairman horace cooper.
6:04 pm
thanks so much for joining us. donald trump may be 1 of the best retail politicians we've ever seen and i can't imagine joe biden even attracting a fraction of that crowd and being able to off-the-cuff without having to read every line from a teleprompter. >> you don't have to imagine it. that's the reality as far of what we have seen with joe biden and donald trump. clearly the enthusiasm and the momentum is behind the former presidents. if the election were held today instead of 164 days from now not only is donald trump and ex-president, he wins by landslide not seen in decades. this is not going to say he's going to win new york but even if he is within as you just reported single digits like he is now striking distance like he is in new jersey and a dead heat in minnesota and virginia, that
6:05 pm
will force the biden campaign to spend time and resources in states they felt they had locked up and now donald trump is leading all the major swing states, north carolina georgia arizona nevada, wisconsin michigan, pennsylvania, see you tell me how joe biden wins given the current state of the country cat given where we are with inflation and crime, where we are with the illegal immigration, where we are with foreign-policy education, energy independence, and the fact joe biden particularly lately as we have seen in speeches is aging as well as mayonnaise left out on a summer hot day instead of like a fine wine. i don't know if the election were held today donald trump wins and easily i don't know how joe biden reverses this at this point. >> explain from your vantage point the phenomenon of donald trump. why is he doing so well with so many people across the entire spectrum. he's doing exceptionally well.
6:06 pm
>> there's 2 factors here. 1 is that the former president is doing quite well but there is the factor. the existing president is doing very, very poorly. you mentioned the ability of 1 to be able to speak off-the-cuff and the other to have to use a teleprompter. we can stipulate our president is tired. he's aging. he's not confident but here's the real issue. the real issue is it is the actual program, the actual public policy, the fatal mistake of progressives is they believe like when the president went to morehouse that you have to talk to the audience as if they are from outer space. yes, they are people who are
6:07 pm
black. but they pay a mortgage with a plan to. they plan to get married. they plan to travel. they plan to live life. if you watched the rally of donald trump what you saw was a man that talked to americans. it turns out that all americans don't like it if you show at the amtrak station or the rail station and some but you off. it turns out all americans black ones and brown's, whites don't like if foreigners come into the country and give them a debit card with 2, 3, 4 or $500. there's no special message needed and as i predicted with my book, put you are back in chains how biden's policies herb black america, what trump has discovered and has recognized as
6:08 pm
president can policies that help everyone are popular with all americans. it's joe biden has a real problem here. >> you have to your point, you've got the governor of new york calling the people that attended clowns connect literally called them clowns for showing up as if they don't understand the phenomenon of donald trump and they talked down and belittle these people and they have a very, very negative and dark message for the people of new york and the other blue states and retire united states. >> they don't understand history , recent history where 2016 hillary clinton called donald trump supporters a basket of deplorable's. and i will say and you may agree that was the turning point in that election where you had the elitist hillary clinton talking down to supporters of donald trump in places like pennsylvania, michigan and
6:09 pm
wisconsin, allstate said he won because he understood the struggles they were going through under the obama administration and hillary clinton says they are just deplorable's and racists, xenophobic so why would kathy hochul possibly go down the road and call all the people that attended that rally in the south bronx clowns? it will backfire because again the democrats used to be the party of the working man and woman and now are the party of elites and it shows. it's very obvious at this point. >> jason: last word to you horace. >> this media that's supposed to be helping to inform the american public so they can make decisions about public policy are not equal. of a republican called the rally in a predominantly minority community the people who showed up clowns, i promise you that's
6:10 pm
front-page news on the new york times. it is shameful that this dismissive attitude exists with the progressives that lead the democrats. this is the reason why so many americans black white or brown are running away as quickly as they can. shame on them. >> and they refuse to look at it and understand it and digest it in its own to cost them dearly up and down the ticket. joe konjuh horace cooper thank you so much for joining us tonight on hannity. tonight still no word on just to trump will tap to be his running mate and while it's unlikely that former ambassador nikki haley is in the running after contentious primary trump and haley are both working tonight the republican party. watch this. >> nikki haley said today she's going to vote for you. looks like the republican party is coming together.
6:11 pm
>> i think it is coming together. it's come together for a long time. we did the nomination process the fastest in history. if somebody else were running they would still be running for another month to get the nominee. we did it 2 months ago. the parties together. i appreciate what she said. the parties together and i think will have-- >> joining us with reaction fox news contributor tammy bruce and the tutor dixon podcast host aptly named after tutor dixon. thanks for joining us on hannity tonight. let's go to you first. pretty magnanimous of both of them to throw their differences aside and say we are going to vote in support donald trump and i thought donald trump was magnanimous back to nikki haley for doing that. >> yeah, this has always been all hands on deck endeavour. it has to be. there's been a recognition and president trump is doing what
6:12 pm
he's doing and they are trying to destroy his life. he keeps doing it anyway because it's not about him. he actually knows this. he's standing up obviously for everyone else for america in order to make this work with the damage that's been inflicted over the last several years and without has been revealed over the last few years about the nature of the bureaucracy, companies everybody on deck. the talent bench for the gop is deep and i like nikki haley. and i appreciate ambition. she's an ambitious woman. the founders knew that. if casted as ambitious men and it's really ambitious people who saved this nation. but he also needs people in the closest rome who he can trust because we've also seen with the betrayal, the lack of decorum and appreciation for him and certain other staff numbers over the years.
6:13 pm
so considering the nation is at stake it's got to be people around him who understand the american people, why we are choosing him, the job that he's got to get done that only he can do that he needs the support of a team and i think haley understands that. where she would land i don't know. ron desantis is in the same boat. you got a lot of great personalities but it's about the team that makes this work understanding the importance and the power and the value of donald trump in this unique period of time and then we can start thinking about 28, 32 and all those other things. it's meant to take generations to repair this damage. >> i thought nikki haley her timing was good. she did make a national pledge that she would support the republican nominee and she followed through on that. >> absolutely i think it was
6:14 pm
perfect timing. she needed some time to show that she really wanted to take about what happened, talk to her donors and talk to her supporters, all of the people that came to the israeli she needed to give them time also to heal from that and decide that they were also going to come and bring the party together. but i think in addition to that she gave the democrats time to believe that they could take her supporters and i think that was very key to make sure that for a while they believed they had a chance and she allowed those polls to creep up and creep up for donald trump and just i believe at the right moment she came out and said he's my guy. you guys premature was new he would be my guy when i stepped out of the race. you knew i would vote republican but now i'm coming out as he's high in the polls and democrats are wondering what they are going to to sam voting with him and going to take my supporters with me. >> so the job of anybody running
6:15 pm
for office, is it to expand the tent, to go in and get those independent voters and voters that would have voted on the other side of the aisle may be for some details. the game i have now it's time to guess who the vice presidential pick is going to be because donald trump said he's probably going to do that at the convention. that's less than 2 months away. so what's your best bet for each of you, what's your gas, who should donald trump pick for vice president. tammy gophers, please. >> i've always thought the best team was trump and desantis. we saw with the governor he wasn't quite sure about how to handle a national campaign. that tells you there's something a few things to learn before you become president. being in the vice presidency would help him understand that what's happening to trump's and just for trump, that this is again about teamwork but it's also about the power of personality. he's young in his forties.
6:16 pm
i think that's an excellent position for him. at the same time you got still to make sure that people understand that's a problem with nikki. she didn't necessarily understand where american people were thinking and doing but i think desantis should be the choice but there's plenty of others and i will be thrilled with whoever he picks. >> jason: tutor you are. who is your best bet? >> i agree. i actually don't think it is that important. i think people he's looking at right now the lists that has been linked if they are accurate all those people would make a great vice president and be able to step into that position if need be. there would be a fabulous pair of donald trump need to come up with the vice presidential pick to get people to come onto his team and vote for them. people are coming out for donald trump so as much as we talk about the vice presidency, it's really about him and no 1 is going to help him or heard him.
6:17 pm
he's going to carry that person through. >> i agree with both of you and think there's a lot of good people out there. governor desantis senators tim scott, senator marco rubio. john radcliffe the former congressman robin o'brien former national security advisor but the best analysis i heard so far is doctor ben carson because he probably doesn't want to become the next president even though he's highly qualified, he will be trying to run while he's in office for 40 years as the vice president. that's an interesting thing and i'm sure we'll talk a lot more about that on hand. tammy bruce tutor dixon thank you so much for joining us tonight. let's turn our attention to africa because joe biden once vowed to visit the continent by the ends of 2022. but like so many other empty joe biden promises that never happened. but this week joe biden did host kenya's president at the white house and as you might expect it
6:18 pm
did not go well. have a look. >> 2 years ago our nation's first black vice president come a hair's. we going to ignore it makes no sense at all. >> 2 questions if i may. >> no 1. >> i'm going to do my level best. >> jason: do i ask the next question as well? so people can know that's what it's about. >> [ inaudible question by the media ] >> this concludes the press conference. thanks everybody. >> jason: kind of hard to watch. this can shortly after the white house was forced to issue 9 corrections to joe biden's speech sunday. he's using a teleprompter. 9 corrections. how will joe make it through an

upcoming debate against the former president donald trump? here was an analysis fox news contributor leo terrel and congressman ronnie jackson. congressman i will start with you here. nobody knows precisely what's going on or not with joe biden. there's times he seems like his energy level is way up and other times you think he's going to fall asleep and you wonder if if you could walk offstage. so he's not getting more sprite and more alert and attentive. he's getting a little bit more suspect everything of time he's up on stage. you are a former white house physician. it's 1 of the most rigorous jobs in the world. what's your assessment of what's going on? >> you are right. he will continue to get worse. i tell people we've got 40 years of tape to look at this man and see what he's like before but just go back and look at when he first started running for president and compare it to now. unbelievable deterioration.
6:20 pm
markedly worse. some days he has good days but those are few and i think there is drugs involved to some sort. what they're giving him, what kind of cocktail the white house has him on. his physician is not transparent. he will not talk to the press or answer the questions about what medications the president may be on. but compare the last 2 days when he was in the state of the union, there's something going on here. i assume that's what they will do and he has the debate, whatever they did when he had the state of the union. i don't think that worked out because he may have been more alert but was just angry yelling old manette that point. like a little person being much louder about but we'll see what happens in the debate. he will get absolutely crushed by president trump who can stand up there for 2 hours without any prompting whatsoever and answer any question they throw at him and biden will rely on, typically teleprompters and having the questions prepared
6:21 pm
beforehand making sure coordination between the reporters and his team and him. if that doesn't happen if it's fair debate if they get up there without any notes and teleprompters and have to go off at they have when they walked to the door he's going to get destroyed. >> jason: you have a teleprompter speech with the toes has to issue 9 corrections and then the press conference which is very difficult to watch. it's hard to watch somebody who's failing like that. what's your analysis of what's going on? what's your perspective? >> i think you have a physician in the congressman just articulating the problem with joe biden. attic it's time to be honest. joe biden is unfit to serve as president. he's hurting america. i could take what we have seen the last couple of days, the testimony of the congressman and go to court and request a conservative for joe biden.
6:22 pm
he needs a caretaker. at the expense of the markham people and you have 90% of the media protecting him as if there's nothing wrong with joe biden. everyone in this country knows there's something wrong with him. he is a laughingstock around the world. the key here is simply this. that early debate in my opinion is nonaddition. that's his last chance to see if he can convince the democrats. but everyone knows he's not fit to serve as president. those are not gasps but something wrong with him mentally and i would take the congressman in the course court and demand conservatorship. i think there's elder abuse on the part of his wife, his family and the administrators because they know what's wrong with him and yet they pretend and lie to the american people every day. >> not only does he have cognitive challenges that are out there for the world to see but his policies are failing and he's not able to come in cade where wants to take this country
6:23 pm
i think that's the number 1 reason by joe biden will probably lose this election. congressman ron lonnie jackson, leo terrel thank you for joining us on hannity. coming up the trump trial is set to resume tuesday with closing arrogance. we will discuss what to expect with greg gerrit and matt whitaker coming next of moderate-to-severe asthma that's not for sudden breathing problems. dupixent can cause allergic reactions that can be severe. tell your doctor right away if you have rash, chest pain, worsening shortness of breath, tingling or numbness in your limbs. tell your doctor about new or worsening joint aches and pain or a parasitic infection. don't change or stop asthma medicines including steroids, without talking to your doctor. ask your specialist about dupixent.

decisions, punitive rulings. the legal theory is totally made up. exists nowhere in the law. alvin bragg and judge mark schaan worked in tandem as co-prosecutors to wrongfully convicted. it will never stand up an appeal. they know that. they don't care. they took noncrimes data misdemeanours, disguised them as felonies. all of it is pure fiction and they wrapped it up in a pretty little bowl of legal deceptions and allying witness in michael kahle and. on top of it the da obstructed justice, concealed its! exculpatory evidence to the grand jury, manufactured a laughable indictment and then perjury at the trial. they knew michael cohen would lie. they wanted him to lie. this is guilty by smear. a performance trial not a real trial and i just hope the jurors could set aside the politics of trump and see this for what it
6:30 pm
is. >> jason: what's your take on what's going on here? the other part of it is having 2 attorneys as jurors you see that is a good thing or bad thing? how would you read that? >> good to be with you. i was in court on tuesday. sat right behind president trump and watch the end of the trial, watched the defence rest and sat in the afternoon through the jury instructions arguments and i would have to say i agree with what greg just said. judge mark schaan is clearly pulling for the prosecution, clearly wants this case to be a verdict against donald trump at the american people see right through this. this is an absolute show trial. there's really no legal theory that's supported by the evidence. michael cohen is not only a convicted liar but admitted to stealing $60,000 from donald trump while he was on stand and he also made up stories on the
6:31 pm
stand and i'm guessing the jury doesn't check the reason and common sense at the door and will bring that to the send discount everything michael cohen testified and the case completely falsified on its face -- falls flat on its face. >> jason: i don't think america understands what the case is about. i don't hear the street talking about it or worried about it. it seems to be a case about nothing. this is a paperwork issue and everybody knows this is law affair trying to pin donald trump as an evil person, that there's nothing out there in the public is striving anything to cause concern about the american people. >> i think the worry though is that if there's a wrongful conviction that calculus changes dramatically. they don't realize this is a case of reasonable doubt by far. prosecutors failed miserably to prove anything the private business records were accurate,
6:32 pm
not false. all the testimony shows trump had nothing to do with the computer entries. there's no evidence trump wilfully violated election laws. no election laws were broken which is why the feds decided not to prosecute so where in the world is the fraud? its nowhere. prosecutors claim trump intended to conceal another crime but they won't even say with a crime is. here we are at the end of the case. is it state law, federal law, tax crime? nobody knows. they won't say. any other judge would never tolerate that. it's a violation of defendant 6 amendment right. this is an orwellian show trial. it's a charade. the worry is upon conviction the calculus politically could change significantly to the detriment of an innocent man. >> jason: matt whitaker what's going to happen this next week?

where do you see this going? >> will see final organs tuesday. the juror will go out and liberate starting wednesday. there will finally work on a wednesday at that this was a very leisurely schedule they were keeping up until now but it does boil down here early question. these 2 lawyers on this jury are going to have an important role and that's to point out to their fellow jurors this case is a complete miscarriage of justice and there's really no legal theory that's supported by these facts to convict donald trump. >> jason: matt whitaker and greg gerk thanks for joining us tonight on hannity. do appreciate it. coming up thanks to joe biden memorial day barbecues will cost more this year. steve moore and lawrence will break it all down as this special edition of hannity continueseles

of the for donald trump. he knew what he wanted to do and he insisted in every meeting we had on the tax plan that it be a significant tax cut for middle-class folks. we did cut business taxes to bring jobs back to united states and that was a huge success but a big part of it was increasing the standard deduction. now 90% of taxpayers don't have to itemized deductions so we simplified the code. but the average median family income saved about $2,000 a year on their taxes. if you repeal it you are raising their taxes by $2,000. but i want to correct 1 thing that you said. when you talk about biden's claim of not taxing people who make less than $400,000. because of the higher prices you're talking about every time you go to the grocery store, every time you go to the gas pump, every time you pay your rental utility bill you are paying the biden inflation tax and is a tax.
6:41 pm
>> jason: it definitely is. you are right on that. it's not just that joe biden is promising a tax increase by allowing tax cuts to expire the cost of energy. i mean, the cost of fuel going to the pumps cactus going to the grocery store, these are stunning numbers. when i read there's more than 1.2 truly an dollars of americans having debt on their credit cards, this is not a good formula for success. >> the way we are getting by his swiping away all her purchases and we are not able to behave the bills anymore. there's a silly number and we are talking about that your memorial day barbecue 7 basic items will cost about three dollars more this year than last year and you can say just three dollars who cares that relish went up 40% the past year. i don't even like relish. let's that over and over again

cumulatively for 3 years. constant increases everywhere you look that it's absolutely suffocating. the average household is paying $1,100 per month more since joe biden became president. so now if taxes are going up we are pretty dead set thinking interest rates are not come down because inflation is still 24 percentage points higher than when biden took office in january of 2021. this is like the new reality. a lot of people coast-to-coast are saying enough. these policies are suffocating us. >> i talk to americans all across the country. i defy anybody to tell me what the biden plan is to tackle inflation and make the economy better. nobody can tell you what the biden clan is because i don't think he has 1. if you are advising up president trump should he get reelected what should president trump do in order to drive down the cost of goods and to get inflation under control?
