immigration nationality act under 287 g which allows us to hold those who are committed crimes in our communities and are here illegally, allows us to go ahead and hold them in custody until we can turn them over to ice or to border patrol agents cbp. what we do with here in in my county is totally different than what you see happening in eagle pass, el paso, lukeville, arizona and san diego. what we have in my county people illegally crossing the river. once we encounter them, they run, or if we encounter them on the highways they lead us on high speed purr suits hear of. it's exactly right. >> it's going to take putting a strong leader in the white house, president trump, that is going to back up his talk and make sure our borders are predict frequented. >> laura: congressman roy, 62% in that yougov poll that just came out, favoring, deportation squads or, you know, a program for all illegals currently in the united states.

it's the failure to enforce the rule of law and why? because under this woke orthodoxy, all of it -- the people who perpetrating these crimes are seen as victim or at least they are victims of social justice inequities and, therefore, they are exempted and the legislature won't even let a referendum on the ballot that would change the laws. and then it's not just criminal laws, laura, we have about a quarter of the people who are not paying their power bill and yet it's against the law to shut off your power bill if you don't pay for it. we have a huge black market economy where it's considered illiberal to impose sales or income tax on street vendors on swap meets. the whole state is in a doom loop. we lost 10 million people the last 25 years who were entrepreneurial tax paying class and they are gone. we have imported about 10 million peopled from the poorest parts of the world. many of them illegally.

27%, laura, the state was not born in the united states. and, yet, we did not attempt to assimilate or integrate them into the culture and traditions of the state and the nation. so, i'm not confident. >> laura: one thing that has to be done, clearly, is banning masks in public. none of these masks should be allowed, everyone gets caught on security footage if they are walking across the street or if they are doing something they are not suppose you had to be doing. but, the covid, you know, tradition of wearing the mask that's now been, of course, taken by the criminals, that has to end as well. these are just simple things that could be done. again, that's expression, i guess, masks. it is. we have a demographic problem. we have lost the middle class. we have a huge underclass, 20% of people under the poverty. plutocratic class. $9 trillion in silicon valley.

i bet every father in america feels the same way. this is nuts. these people are so out of touch. >> laura: but, we see that, again, the push for equal rights, and equal opportunity and, you know, girl power and all the rest, i think the argument is, look, that's what women want? that's really what they want? okay. then that's what they are going to get. that means they have to do their part. you know, here's the thing about equality. if women want to volunteer for the united states armed forces, they are absolutely welcome to do it on the same footing as men. of course we have many, many women who serve. including members of my family by the way. that's fantastic. that's not what the liberals are talking about here in some of these frankly war monday gering republicans. what they're talking about expanding the draft. which is involuntary, laura. that's what a draft is and saying if women don't want to serve, too bad. they will get dragged into it. i think this is crazy at the same time that they are saying that women have to accept men in

their locker rooms. women have to accept men in their sports. now women have to serve in the military with men, whether they want to or not. i just -- the further erasure of women in our society by these radicals. i mean, i guess, to that extent it's logical but totally insane place to end up. >> laura: yeah. well, donald trump, i don't know if he said anything about this, he should totally come out against this. and hold the republicans' feet to the fire on this. do you get the sense, by the way, senator, that there is a strong contingent on capitol hill that seems to really be ramping things up for war in a second biden term. it seems like whether it's the 5% g.d.p. push for military spending, othey're move, or pushes to have illegal immigrants in the military, they need bodies. and they want more money. despite the results we're getting in ukraine which obviously aren't very promising. >> well, this is what happens by the way when you turn the military into a social experiment.

the people who want to fight for the united states military who love this country, who are proud to be americans, they are getting driven off by all of the woke garbage that's did going on in the u.s. military, they are not myth recruitment targets, yeah, if you are going to fight a bunch of wars which sadly some republicans want to do all over the world whether it's in our interest or not you need more people. as thee recruitment numbers they can't sustain. this i do think there is a contingent of people we may need to bring back the 2kr5689. whether they want to be military or not and do all these other things. we need to get reality back in check here. we need to refocus on it. number one, there shouldn't be women in the draft. they shouldn't be forced to serve if they don't want. to say number two, why don't we prioritize the national interest of the united states of america and our foreign policy rather than running off to fight every foreign war just so the defense contractors get paid. >> laura: yeah. fix the border. senator, great to see you as always. thank you. all right, biden finally issues a proclamation that issues some
