ways that we sensorily have learned the hard way. there is a lot of ways that parents across the country need to become aware of how dangerous social media can be and what parents can do to protect their kids. and the surgeon general's op-ed and the positions he took is certainly a good start. but, by no means is a warning label going to do everything. >> todd: i'm hearing in your answer that you would like government to go further how would you like government to go further, robert? >> well, my wife and i are part of multiple efforts both at the state of illinois level where we live and at the federal level. there are three things in particular that i would mention one is we have been advocating for a law called sammy's law force the social media companies to open up their software to allow third party safety monitoring software to help parents protect their kids online this is something that is
