8:00 pm
confidence to look at his opponent while he was speaking. this was a terrible night and there will be revolt on the part of the democratic party and i said if he has a bad night democrats... they do not want to go to certain defeat and that happened tonight. >> we are still far from our convention and there is time for this party to figure out a different way forward if he will allow us to do that. >> the big question is whether or not they can bypass kamala harris in that process which they would like to do. >> thank you for joining us. sean hannity is next life from the spin room in atlanta it has been a historic night. >> thank you for joining us. stay tuned for sean hannity next >> sean: welcome to hannity, welcome to georgia.
8:01 pm
we start with a fox news alert. the first 2024 put -- presidential debate is now in the books. we are alive from a very busy spin room right here in my former home atlanta georgia. we are going to be joined by senators, laura trump and many more people that you were going to want to hear from tonight. first this was historic. this was a night to remember. first word out of my mouth was well. by the way, one that joe biden will want to forget, probably already has. his performance was the single biggest disaster i have ever seen in our presidential in the history of this country. a complete total train wreck from his opening words he sounded awful. he looked even worse. he was over rehearsed he continually lost his train of thought, mumbling bumbling stumbling bumbling kite dazed and confused and this all after
8:02 pm
one full week of prep. at times totally incoherent and to make matters worse joe had the strangest weirdest stair like an empty vessel. i was feeling so bad for him i was hoping maybe at some point a family member might come in and throw in the towel. he simply is not strong enough physically. he has not strong enough doesn't have the stamina. he's not strong enough cognitively. he doesn't have the mental acuity to be the president of the united states. that's what the country sought tonight. you decide. >> although this -- those things we need to do, making sure that we continue to strengthen our healthcare system, making sure that we are able to make every single solitary person eligible for what i've been able to do with dealing with everything we have to do with look if we
8:03 pm
finally beat medicare. >> thank you president biden. >> sean: can you decipher what he was trying to say there? does joe even know what he was trying to say? president trump pointed that out at one point. it is scary and it was not the only unusual moment for joe biden tonight, here he is trying to talk about kitchen tables and rising prices. pay close attention to how he says it. >> no senior has to pay more than $200 for any... the situation and we are going to make that available to anybody. we are working to bring down the price of -- around the kitchen table. >> sean: on the topic of abortion joe biden very weirdly focused on people getting raped by their siblings and their brothers and sisters pure take a
8:04 pm
look. >> there's so many young women who have been included a young woman who was murdered and he went to the funeral. she was murdered by an immigrant coming in. here's the deal,. >> sean: we are going to interrupt this tape for just a second. joe biden is speaking live. let's go to joe biden. i guess he's talking to the press somewhere. >> they are going to be out there fact checking. i can't think of one thing he said that was true. we are going to beat this guy and we need to beat this guy or chi need to you in to beat him. [ cheering ]
8:05 pm
>> sean: that's joe biden added debate watch party. can't make out what he's saying let's go back to the debate itself. here he is trying to talk about veterans and d-day. take a listen. >> i was in france for d-day and i spoke to all... i spoke to... he was standing with his four-star general and he said i don't want to go in there because they are a bunch of lutheran suckers. you are the soccer you are the loser. >> president trump. >> that was a made up quote. they made up it was in a third-rate magazine that's feeling like many of these magazines. >> sean: let's stop here about joe biden. you cannot diminish the unbelievable debate for performance that we saw from donald trump.
8:06 pm
donald trump was focused, he didn't take debate. he did not in any way react. he was lucid, he was on his a game, he did not get upset at anything biden tried to throw at him and in fairness to fake news cnn, fake jake and fake dana they put aside their prejudice and their hatred towards donald trump for the night and they actually asked questions and waited for answers and i thought they manage the debate fairly well, something i didn't expect considering we've been playing all the tape of them trashing donald trump for many years. credit for one night. biden didn't just get confused and bumble over his words, he also lied. he lied about suckers and losers and that hoax. he lied about the economy and about taxes and about violent crime. he lied about the border in particular. even lied when he said he got an endorsement from the border patrol union. the border patrol union tweeted this statement.
8:07 pm
to be very clear we never had an and ever will endorse joe biden despite all of this is most egregious lie was about brave men and women of -- brave men and women of our military. >> when he was president they were still killing people in afghanistan and he didn't do anything about that. when he was president we found ourselves in a position where you had the notion that we were the safe country. truth is on the only president this century that doesn't have -- this decade that doesn't have any troops dying anywhere around the world like he did. >> sean: really? no troops dying? i know you are looking at your watch during the dignified transfer but did you really forget about the 13 americans who were killed in afghanistan or the thousands that you abandoned and left behind because of that disaster will of a withdrawal. this debate made one thing very clear up your joe biden is not
8:08 pm
fit to be president. donald trump clearly is. the report sounding the alarm on what they are calling operation replace biden. they scramble with 130 days to go, debate catastrophe or as politico put it, biden is toast. calling it now. biden stumbles, rambles and opening of debate. the potential vice president selection senator jd vance from ohio. good to see you both how are you? first i need to apologize to you. i did not know your life story. everybody reed your book except me because i have a pile of papers this high every day to study for four hours being on air. i saw your movie. i was so inspired by your life i was blown away. amazing life story. what is it mean to be considered
8:09 pm
to be donald trump's vice president on top of that story? >> an incredible honour to be here and to have the opportunity to serve the people of ohio and to be considered as vice president is crazy and it's a testament to how incredible this country is. whether it's in the senate or some other role i kept thinking about how this debate would look through the eyes of someone who grew up like i did. i remember my grandmother negotiating with the meals on wheels person to get more food. you think about this when joe biden talks how about how inflation is donald trump's fault. it was 1.4 percent when donald trump was president. grocery prices have gone up 30 or 40 or 50 percent depending on the item. that means real people can't afford to get the food that they want for the kids and grandkids. the contrast between these two was so extraordinary. the energy of donald trump, the meandering of joe biden the fact
8:10 pm
that joe biden seemed to forget his talking points. donald trump was in command of the facts. i think it's such a remarkable contrast for the american people to see. this shows the difference in how they are going to govern. who do you want to be the president of the united states for the next four years? watching this i think the obvious answer is donald trump. >> it does bring us to the point about your father-in-law and the fact that he had such a command of issues. people are asking me in the lead up how to why think that donald trump is going to do. i happen to be with him about two weeks ago. we did about an hour and 15 minutes. then he went to do an interview with dr phil. then he went to a dinner for about two and a half hours and he was so conversant on every issue and so well-versed and none of it rehearsed. there's a lot of talk he barely prepared for this debate and he seems so ready and so dialled in
8:11 pm
and do so in command of the issues, nothing fazed him so people thought he would react to joe. he didn't react anything. >> i love that. if you watched him the whole time people said what donald trump are we going to get? he was calm and concise and direct. everything that he said resonated with the american people and a lot of times people wonder what is he doing to debate prep. you set it. this is his life and what he does every single day. his quote was i've been preparing for this my whole life. if you are president for four years and you actually were a successful president as he was, you understand the issues. you understand what needs to happen and how to get this country back. you understand where we've gone astray and what joe biden has done that has destroyed this country. so he had command of the entire debate because of that. we have a huge contrast on our hands when you look at these men
8:12 pm
on the stage. i think that's why this debate was so vital for the american people. you almost didn't need to watch it with the sound onto see the difference between these two men to. it was weakness versus strength. we need strength right now in this country. we need to get this country back. the american people are desperate for it and it's donald trump who will deliver it. >> sean: i'm going to show a montage in a short period of. do we have that available? >> sean: when he wasn't even speaking, it was split screen and he was on camera and that stair, he seemed like he wasn't there. we have it. let's show it now. i want to talk about this. when we cut this i said to my staff i want you to get joe biden when donald trump is speaking and just staring into space. if i was going to use words i
8:13 pm
would say it was the stair of an empty vessel and i really am wondering there is something wrong here. for four years, i pointed this out before the 2020 election. [ inaudible ] >> nobody would pay attention and i got hit by the liberal media that is so unfair of sean hannity. it sounds kind of indicated like our coverage of the russian hoax after three years. we got it right they got it wrong. what is this mean going forward? >> i think they are going to try to get joe biden off the ticket because he was a disaster tonight but they can't, it's too late. they have let their voters, they gave them one choice and that is what they are stuck with in presenting these -- this case to the american people. you hear democratic operatives,
8:14 pm
they are talking about how they don't want joe biden on the ticket anymore. what is the bigger threat to democracy then running this entire primary process and then effectively throwing a guy off because... this is the choice the democrats have offered the american people. i'm proud that republicans have offered a different choice and i think they're going to make the right one. >> i think this is obviously very clear to the american people. if it wasn't before, if you watch that debate there is no doubt you came out understanding that donald trump is the leader we need in this country. he was the only leader on that debate stage. when i watched it there were moments i felt sad about joe biden. then i thought more and i said i'm mad about this. >> sean: i felt anger because president... and those in iran who biden have been sucking up to. they are watching this and they
8:15 pm
see a weak united states of america under his leadership. any surrender to the war on terror by abandoning israel and not supporting their offensive efforts to win their war against terror. >> i'm mad because the... we all tried to call this out in 2020. we were all told that we were crazy. i was told i was making fun of us daughter that nobody knew he had. this was the problem when you do not allow the american people transparency. you get this. >> sean: by all accounts it was a bad night for joe biden and a great night for donald trump. democrats are now in panic mode and for good reason take a look. >> making sure we are able to make every single solitary person eligible for what i've been able to do with dealing with everything we have to do with look, if we finally beat
8:16 pm
medicare, third time is between the doctor -- between the woman in the state. the idea that the politicians, the founders wanted the politicians to be the ones making decisions about women's health is a ridiculous. they... everyone from the new united nations security council straight through to the g-7 to the israelis and netanyahu himself have endorsed a plan put forward. we find that the impact on the choice that black families have to make relative to childcare is incredibly difficult the idea that... the millionaires pay 1 percent.
8:17 pm
>> sean: so what are democrats going to do,... joining us now with reaction, former 2024 republican presidential candidate vivica ramaswamy. and dog bergen. >> sean: let's get your reaction. the first reaction i want is what did you think of donald trump's performance versus joe biden? i don't want this to be about joe biden mumbles and stumbles because he does every day. >> the discussion beforehand is where they going to drug him up. i think they gave him a lobotomy instead. just take the actual republican democrat nature out of this, this is frightening. this is the man responsible for defending our homeland when we are facing the greatest national
8:18 pm
security threats we have faced in our history, that's frightening regardless of the debate did donald trump mopped the -- mop ford tonight? absolutely. >> sean: separate and apart from joe, his performance stood apart from many that i've seen over the years that i've watched. i've been addicted to politics since ronald reagan was president. what was your take. >> we got to sit together and watch it. if you are a business person and you are watching this there was no answer from joe biden about inflation. nothing about energy policy. nothing about high interest rates. all he talked about was i'm going to keep taxing the rich and when he talked about a solution everything was him spending money. this is a 50-year-old democrat planned tax spend and they think that's their way to a solution. what... prudent was watching this. china was watching this. what they're doing in the
8:19 pm
philippines last week and what they may do now when they see that kind of weakness, it is frightening. >> it's chilling because we were told last week that these are great fake videos as if attacking the work that i do every night because we did not edit. this is not edited. this was realtime tape. barack obama did go over grabbed his hand and put -- and walk him off the stage. we saw him walk away at the g-7. these are moments where he has brain lapses, whatever you want to call it. and for the biggest period of time, 130 days out of the selection, the media mob in this room lied to the american people, the democratic party lied to the american people and they've been trying to hide this for the entire time. now all of a sudden they are in a panic because they see donald trump had a great night and their candidate did not. now maybe we made a mistake.
8:20 pm
everybody with eyes to see saw this. >> joe biden also lied to the american people four years ago in the 2020 debate. if you are cnn and you are hosting this, the question they should have asked is why did you look into the camera and allied to the american public about hunter biden's laptop? >> he lied about the laptop, the ... they did it to basically influence an election. polls show that it had an effect on the outcome of that election. he also lied about never speaking to a son or brother or anybody. his own sons size he gave half his income to his pops and paid his home repair bill. >> if you look at the polling of independence after the 2020 election many of them said they would've changed their vote had they known about the laptop. on maury this time around we would be at risk of seeing that on steroids. imagine a scenario where biden
8:21 pm
won narrowly after he goes on that stage and calls trump a convicted felon which is the strategy of the democrats right now. and if the supreme court overturned the conviction, what is like winter due to the future of the health of democracy in this country? the best moments were when he really came through the camera and landed things that were just true. the fact that he doesn't have to be doing this. the fact that i would not be running for president if you had done a good job. i was rooting for you. >> wasn't. [ simultaneous talking ] >> i thought it was the best moment. >> the part where trump looked through the camera and said i don't want to be doing this. i wanted you to be a good president. the contrast and that in the absence of presence will bring a lot of independent voters over. >> if you are asked would you accept the vp spot.
8:22 pm
>> anybody has duty to this country to say yes. >> sean: i would say no but go ahead. i could not as well as you. >> that's an edging question. it's all about donald trump and his fantastic performance. you look around the serena. [ simultaneous talking ] >> sean: when we come back we're just getting started. governor ron desantis will check in. marco rubio will join us. so many more great guests as we continue we are in atlanta on debate number 1, the 2024 presidential election is now history straight ahead

8:28 pm
>> sean: we continue live in the spin room in atlanta and tonight mass panic in the democratic party. donald trump had an amazing night and an amazing debate joe biden delivered what was probably the worst debate performance in the modern televised history of presidential debates. he is another sad moment from your president take a look.
8:29 pm
>> now you are in a situation where there are 40 percent fewer people coming across pick that's better when he left office. on going to continue to move unless -- until we get the total initiative relative to what we do with more border patrol and more... >> i don't know what he said i don't think he knows either. we had the safest border in the history of our country. >> following the debate president trump walked off the stage while joe biden was greeted by jill who appeared to help him walk off the stage. my senator from my home state florida, the free state of florida. i apologize. [ simultaneous talking ] >> sean: let me ask you your name is prominent now as a potential vice president.
8:30 pm
how do you feel about that. >> only one person makes that choice and he's got good people to pick from. we've got ten or 12 people who are better than kamala harris. i think anybody who is considered should be honoured. especially now. the things i got from tonight's debate was life is better under donald trump p. american's have more money in their pocket. the world was safer place and americo is more respected. we didn't have people... so i think that point came across pick the other point was a scents of urgency. that we are now at this tipping point where we can't afford another year like the last three years. that was -- that is something we all share. whether it's in the senate or and opportunities...
8:31 pm
no one has talked to me about it. one guy makes that decision and he's going to make a great choice. >> i say this and i feel this country has been so good to me. your story is so compelling and i feel like i've had an undeserved life when i consider that my parents both grew up poor, my mom is a prison guard, my dad was a waiter on weekends and... i've never been this worried about the state of the country or the state of the world. i've been pointing out now for over four years joe biden's cognitive... with 130 days out, the rest of the democratic party and this corrupt media mob behind me. they all of a sudden caught up and realize he's got a problem. >> i think we saw tonight what we've been seeing for number of years. i was watching, they were putting a video of the debate just four years ago. it's dramatically different from what he was.
8:32 pm
let me tell you why that's relevant. it's also about this. they are going to watch this debate and beijing or moscow and you worry that adversaries will see that and conclude from it they have a weak president. it makes you wonder who is calling the shot's. it's clear that this ministration is being run by a bunch of deranged radicals. there's a lot to unpack there. it's unfortunate for the country but it's the reality. >> it's a disaster. joe didn't understand it. president trump went back to it again and again. i was so grateful to hear him mention the names. we have a 13-year-old girl brutally raped in broad daylight new york, a 12-year-old girl ravaged for two hours, murdered in houston texas. a mother of five murdered. laken riley and the list goes on. >> every day there's a new story about it.
8:33 pm
these guys that have come into the country they are criminals in venezuela and they are coming here. you have the guy that was actually fleeing murder charges in el salvador that came here and murdered someone. it's case after case and now we find out today that they are looking now for upwards of 50 to 400 people who were trafficked here by isis. i asked the fbi director about this months ago. >> four times in a row they said it's the worst it's ever been. by the way msdn sea, former white house press secretary, we referred to her as circle back ... i will circle back with you on that she told viewers that the biden campaign now has a large hole to climb out of and that she is hearing veteran democratic campaign operatives asked what can we do now and are
8:34 pm
wondering if biden can be replaced. kamala harris just told cnn yes, it was a slow start but strong finish. not sure what she was watching join is now is ron desantis. governor great to have you. >> i'll tell you what sean i think eyewitness to the unofficial end of the biden campaign. and it will either officially and at the dnc this summer when they replace him or it will end this summer or november win he suffers a resounding defeat to donald trump. the reality is you cannot watch that performance and say that he can serve another four-year term i don't think he can even get on -- get through another seven months. this country is in serious trouble with him at the helm given the weakness that he is projecting their. i think about it this way. you and i are conservative. we want to go conservative. there's a lot of voters that i
8:35 pm
maybe in the middle but this is something that will matter. if he were applying to run like an agency in the state of florida, your home state, there is no way in a million years i would hire him to run even a middling agency in the state of florida. there's no way the american people are going to sign him up for another four years as commander-in-chief. kai think this was the most lopsided debate performance that i've ever seen. one of the things i think donald trump did a good job of it is always coming back to biden's main weaknesses, especially the border. it did not matter what the issue was he would talk about what biden has done at the border period biden had no answer for that. he at one point was even -- acknowledging that wound were being raped by illegal aliens under his watch. it was a disaster. they are going to try to do something this summer but if
8:36 pm
they don't there is no way the american people are going to give him another four years. >> sean: we are going to see for sure. i said this to senator rubio. i've never been more afraid for the state of the country and for americans that are struggling. in my early adult years i lived a paycheck to. 25 percent of americans literally are forgoing meals. 66 percent of americans say they are struggling and gasping for air financially and biden seemed very disconnected from that tonight president trump went in and said we are better than this and we can turn this around. i felt it was a very hopeful message. a very disciplined donald trump tonight. >> bottom line is people could afford to buy a home and groceries when trump was president. we didn't have 10 million people come in illegally when trump was president and our enemies were
8:37 pm
on the run away not on the march towards more bad activity because i think they feared trump and i think they recognized that biden is a weak president. that contrast worked really strong with him. biden is somebody, the media always has he's empathetic and yet his policies have intentionally driven up the cost of living for americans all throughout this country. he seems not to be willing to do anything about it. >> sean: thank you and i'm sorry you have to put up with me now as a resident of your home state as well. i apologize in advance but i do vote conservative and republican. i say you have to move to florida, don't bring your liberal new jerk -- new york new jersey with you. go move to california. >> we have a million republican vote margin in florida. we used an ever have a margin it all. you are in a red state.
8:38 pm
>> i'm grateful, i appreciate it every day. thank you governor p. joining us now... lindsey graham both from the great state of south carolina. i thought the interview you did with ainsley on fox and friends with your fiancé who i've known but never talk... >> ainsley, what a sweetheart. she was fantastic. my fiancé she was brilliant, beautiful and loves the lord with all of her heart. >> sean: all admit, we've done bible studies together online and we share a love of pastors that we know and we occasionally get mad at them. let's go to the debate tonight.
8:39 pm
i was very concerned about joe biden p. required hit he say no troops died under his watch. >> it's about his capability to be commander-in-chief and a time of great peril. the debate was a wipeout. it was a train wreck for biden. trump did fantastic whether like it or not. president biden was weak. i worry about what iran is thinking. if i'm the iranians or hezbollah or some of the bad guys i'm thinking between now and the fourth is my time to... i worry that they will break out the nuclear weapon. i think the hostages coming home is harder. what i got from this debate is that it's pretty clear that not only does biden not understand the world, is not capable of being commander-in-chief. >> sean: what is that mean? you have...
8:40 pm
saying they but we have to rethink biden. are they going to -- going to try to pull a fast 1130 days out of the election. >> the only decision after this debate is does he stay or not. it's shifted dramatically to trump. there's no way that anybody believes that joe biden can be commander-in-chief for four more years. the contrast was how dialled in donald trump was on every issue. >> those that thought he was going to take debate with biden, he stayed on his message. >> he smiled through. the most dominant performance we've ever scene. the contrast could not be more clear. donald trump is ready for four more years. the issues that the american people care the most about, the border and the economy. donald trump dialled that them in and told the story of four years of unbelievable success under donald trump. we saw the poorest americans,
8:41 pm
their paychecks went up faster than the rich americans. >> we had record low unemployment for african-americans, hispanic americans, asian, women, african-american youth unemployment. then the pandemic happened. >> under donald trump we saw taxes go down by 4000 more dollars and under joe biden the average family has lost $28,000 in spending power. contrast. december 2020, 1000 illegal immigrants crossing our border a day under donald trump. three years later, 10,000 a day under joe biden. nearly 15 million illegal immigrants coming to our country because of joe biden. >> you said you would accept
8:42 pm
vice president. do you want president trump to pick your fellow senator. >> he's qualified to be president which matters to me. >> i can't believe he remains friends with you. for those at home, i'm kidding. >> he's the same way when nobody's looking. i want to say this. it's not about contrasting anymore. there's no way that joe biden is capable of being president. president trump is ready to go. i worry we are in a dangerous spot in the world after this debate. we don't need anymore debates. >> sean: you don't think he should debate? >> this should be at. >> sean: somebody else told me that tonight. >> i don't want the world to see this again. i don't want to see this again. >> sean: thank you both come
8:43 pm
8:44 pm
8:45 pm
8:46 pm
8:47 pm
8:48 pm
>> sean: welcome back as we continue we are live in atlanta georgia report... tonight's debate could prompt new poles for the tapes to be released. they should be released. release the tapes.
8:49 pm
that's a special counsel preferred to as biden has... joining us is jim jordan and... i want those tapes released but according to those tapes joe biden was asking was i still vice president in 2009 at, didn't recall when his son had past away and they said before a jury he would come across as a nice old man and very forgetful. they have the tapes, why won't they release the tapes. >> it's because they are trying to cover up the feebleness and the fact that i believe that they edited the transcript that they turned over to congress. i think it's worse. i know we are going to use every tool at our disposal to hold the department of justice and to the administration accountable for not turning over those tapes. it's our constitutional responsibility. we are focused on passing...
8:50 pm
but let's talk about what's most important. what voters are concerned about when it comes to the tapes and this old, unfit individual. we saw that on the debate stage today. the worst debate performance in modern history from joe biden versus the strength of president trump. >> i thought donald trump brought his game. donald trump was dialled in p. or he had an answer for everything p. or chi knew that was coming. i saw him two weeks ago during an interview i had with him and i was pretty impressed. we saw what happened with the deep state in 2016. donald trump brought up tonight 51 former and now we know some contractors within the cia that knew nothing about hunter's laptop, lied to the american people to give a talking point to joe biden. this was in their last debate before 2020. it definitely had an impact on the election, likely an impact on the outcome of that election.
8:51 pm
epitaph -- if it happened in 16 and 20, what do they have planned this time. >> at the right question. what political move are they going to make to impact the election? i think you're right p. or president trump was focused, he was funny, he was dominating yet relaxed. i love the line when he said... he wants to get back to where we had a secure border versus this open border where we had straight -- safe streets where we had to dollar gas versus four-dollar gas and where american families had stable prices versus this record inflation. i thought president trump was masterful what are they going to try this time because we learned not only was that political but people who put that operation together were on the payroll on contract with the cia when they signed as some of those guys when they signed that. >> sean: exit question. we are a little short on time.
8:52 pm
we will have you both back. will joe biden, will there be a push to get him off the ticket. >> this is a disaster for democrats. joe biden is who donald trump is going to defeat, that's what we are focused on. >> sean: jim. >> who knows. i don't think it matters. i think president trump was so dominant and the american people know what he did for them. i don't think it matters. i think it's going to be joe biden. >> sean: good to see you, thank you both. when we come back more coverage of tonight's debate as we come to you live from atlanta.
