of emergency, unsure if president biden will be their nominee this november after stumbling and shocking performance at last night's presidential debate. >> president biden: i'm going to continue total ban. the total initiative relative to more border patrol and more -- >> president trump? >> i really don't know what he said at the end of this, he doesn't know what he said either. i've dealt with politicians all of my life, this side for eight years. i've never seen anybody lie like this. >> we have made significant progress from debacle left by president trump in his last term. >> nobody created an economy like us, nobody cut taxes like us. >> my son was not a loser, not a
1:02 am
sucker, you are the sucker and loser. >> this man is a complainer. he said we want to do this, do that issue get rid of this tax, that tax, he doesn't do anything. >> todd: members of biden's own party is calling this the end and his allies in media admit, this is bad. >> i think you wish this night will be remembered in reverse. >> there has been a negative reaction to biden's performance tonight. he did nothing to disaview the notion he is old and lost frequently. >> we should not sugar coat this, this is not the debate performance needed from this debate. >> it was painful. >> todd: so where do we go from here? you're watching a special edition of "fox and friends first." i'm todd piro.
1:03 am
>> carley: i'm carley shimkus. we begin with madeleine rivera, who is live in washington. hi, madi. >> madeleine: good morning, carley and todd. headlines revolve around the president's shaky performance, economy, abortion and foreign policy and immigration were big issues of the evening. the president struggled to make his case, mis mis mistakenly saying border patrol endorsed him. he clarified that. >> president biden: border patrol endorsed me, endorsed my position. when he was president, he was separating babies from mothers, putting them in cages and making sure families were separated. >> the border patrol, by the way, endorsed me for president. we had the safest border in history and now the worst border in history. madeleine rivera they pushed back and said, we never have
1:04 am
endorsed biden and put the president on defense over the withdrawal from evita duffy-alfonso. check out this exchange. >> we were getting out with dignity, strength andure po. he got out, most embarrassing day for our country. >> when he was president, we were in the position you had a notion we were a safe country. truth is, i'm the only president this century that doesn't have any troops die anywhere in the world like he did. >> madeleine: the president's statement is not true, 13 died at the airport in kashesbul. >> president biden made misleading statements, he said he did not have troops die anywhere in the world. troops have died on his watch.
1:05 am
>> madeleine: cnn fact checked him saying democrats kill babies after birth or every scholar wanted roe v. wade overturned. biden campaigns there are 50 of trump's lies, the president is likely to talk about that. >> joe, you did such a great job, you answered every question, you knew all the facts. >> president biden: we're going to beat this guy, we need to beat this guy. i need you in order to beat him, you're the people i'm running for. rpgs >> madeleine: ask about the raspy voice, he said it was a cold. he tested negative for covid. >> todd: we'll be talking about this cold for days and weeks to come, if it is a cold. the president's performance sending
1:06 am
up red flags in the democratic party and media. this headline from politico says "biden is toast." >> carley: brooke singman has more on that. >> brooke: former president trump came out swinging. president biden stumbled through talking points, watch. >> 40% fewer people coming across illegally is better than when he left office, we will get total ban on initiative relative to more border patrol and more -- >> i don't know what he said at the end of this, he doesn't know either. >> president biden: with the covid, excuse me, dealing with everything we have to do with -- l look, if we finally beat medicare. >> madeleine: democratic strategist telling me this was
1:07 am
disabe pointing for the president. end of the day, this president won't be won or lost in one night, it will take time and efrt for biden to regain what he lost tonight. there is time for trump to continue reminding voters he is a chaotic -- the media just as unsettled. >> there is a real concern here tonight there has been some real damage done that cannot be undone. >> no two ways about it, not good for joe biden. >> that was painful for joe biden, he did not do well at all, there are a lot of people who will want to see him consider taking a different course now. >> there is a reason fdr was never shown in his wheelchair, there is a reason john f kennedy p pretended to be a vigorous man when he was not.
1:08 am
>> america looks at you and that avatar looks broken. >> if you are the biden campaign, you wish this night will be remembered in reverse. >> brooke: vice president kamala harris is defending the president. >> first of all, what we saw tonight is the president making a very clear contrast with donald trump on all the issues that matter to the american people. it was a slow start, strong finish. >> brooke: next debate will be abc and expected to be september 10. >> todd: i don't know if we will see that. bring in tomi lahren. advisor to democrat donors telling politico, our only hope is that he bows outs, we have a brokered convention, or he dies, otherwise we are expletive dead.
1:09 am
democrat lawmaker saying this was like a champion boxer who gets in the ring past his prime and needs his corner to throw in the towel. it is time to talk about a new democratic nominee. number one question we have asked for better part of two to three years is will joe biden be the nominee come november. in light of last night, will joe biden be the nominee come november? >> tomi: i've been saying for two years now, no, i don't believe joe will be the nominee. a lot of people are saying democrats are shocked and in panic. i don't believe it, i don't buy it for one minute. they know this man, they have seen everything we have seen and more. they try to convince us behind closed doors he is a different man. they know this man like we know this man. last night he was allowed to fall
1:10 am
flat on his face. the cnn moderators did not come to his protection. this will give them a giant excuse when they can bait him out. i do not buy the shock and awe, this has been part of the plan. shame on jill biden for allowing her husband to go out and embarrass himself like that. do what is right for him and our country. he is not going to be the president for another four years and i'm not sure he is the president now. not sure who is, it is disappointing for our country. >> carley: after the debate, gavin newsom was asked if he would be open to replace joe biden as democratic nominee. >> i will never turn my back on president biden, i don't know a democrat in my party that would do so, especially after tonight.
1:11 am
we have his back, we are all in. we'll double down in the next few months and win this election. >> carley: love for you to respond to that and something that happened all night long, open conversations about replacing joe biden following this debate performance. names were gavin newsom, gretchen whitmer, nobody is talking about kamala harris, which i'm sure is a secondary concern for team biden. >> tomi: there hasn't been discussions about kamala harris taking his position at all. not even top democrats have floated that idea, i'm sure that does not make her happy at the end of the day. gavin newsom saying i would never turn my back on joe. the way i think this will go down, joe biden is going to step down and he's going to turn to gavin newsom who has been his good little soldier through many months. when gavin newsom says he will not turn his back, no,
1:12 am
he will ep is the nomination or position that joe graciously gives him. pay attention to the way gavin newsom talks about this. it is going to be gavin newsom, he's been running a shadow campaign, nobody else has put in the work, i believe it is his nomination to ultimately lose. >> carley: there are articles written about how to replace president biden as the candidate, after 90-minute debate, this conversation is happening right now, see if it continues. what do you think, todd? >> todd: they know they are in trouble. tomi raises excellent points, was this the job all along? great job parsing language. politicians speak in a certain way to fool us, tomi lahren not fooled. >> carley: another major moment, president trump took president biden to task over border and
1:13 am
migrant crime. >> biden migrant crime, they are killing our citizens at level we have never seen before and you are reading it like three incredible young girls over last few days. we have a border that is most dangerous in the world. >> todd: next guest is former democrat turned republican, who has been opposed to biden administration for putting migrants over american citizens, she is next.

>> todd: former president trump railing against biden migrant crime hours after 12-year-old jocelyn nungaray was laid to rest in houston and two illegal migrants face charges for the murder. >> carley: chanley. >> it took center stage during the debate and former president trump blasted president biden and referring to several high-profile crimes involving illegal immigrants. discussed the murder of jocelyn nun nungaray. >> we had the safest border in history, now the worst border in
1:19 am
history. >> he is lying. he killed three american soldiers. >> he killed people, thousands dying and killing our citizens when they come in. they just had the funeral for this girl, 12 years old, this is horrible what has taken place. >> yesterday jocelyn's family laid her to rest at a houston funeral home. family members admitted their views changed forever after jocelyn's murder. one saying, i can't say all of them are bad, there are good people, they need to close the border and not let anyone in. others called for justice. >> i love you, jocey, we will get them, they will get what they deserve. >> both suspects face capital murder charges and are being held on $10 million bail. >> carley: chanley paint thor,

thank you. a life-long democrat who just switched to the gop joins us. there was a big discussion about the open border and how it is impacting the black community. here is both sides. >> donald trump: he's lost much of the black population, he's done a horrible job for black people. he's done a horrible job for hispanics. wait until you see millions of people pouring in and they will take the jobs. it is a disaster. >> president biden: these millions of illegals are coming in andic taking away jobs, there is a reason we have the fastest growing economy in the world and most successful economy in the world. >> carley: president biden appearing to say illegal imknow be grants are helping create the
1:21 am
gr greatest economy in the world, what did you think about that discussion? >> i had a problem with president biden making that statement, that is not in fact how we feel. i think that what you have to remember is the fact that unemployment in black communities has risen since he's taken office. we need more comprehensive programs and job training programs for people who are unemployed so they have a skill they can harness to allow them to make a suitable income. i am so happy to hear that president trump is going to be looking at the immigration policy, looking at closing the border, looking at securing them so illegal immigrants are not coming in and they are coming in when they are supposed to after they submitted proper paperwork and gone through the proper channels. right now people are entering
1:22 am
this country illegally, numbers have risen over the years and furthermore, basically as i look at this debate, i realize that father time is basically taken president biden by the hand and saying let me lead you to the door. it is disappointing to see how he being looed and appeared in this debate. one reason i decided to become a republican is because i was very unhappy with the situation with the border, with migrants, with immigrants coming over. i began to look at some democratic policies and i remember how president biden once called himself the father of the crime bill and i think about what that crime bill did to black communities. it decimated us and even people who were on drugs, not getting
1:23 am
proper help, not getting resources to send them to rehab the way we see now with the people who have the crystal meth addictions. i want to see us really sit down and roll up our sleeves together and find plans and pathways to change the situations that are happening in urban communities all over this country. president trump, former president trump has said that is on his agenda. he sees the need and sees people are hurting and he's going to do something to assist us. the economy is in a very bad state and people who were already suffering and struggling are going through worst changes than they were prior to president biden taking office. >> todd: cat $a truss, thank you for your insight, we appreciate
1:24 am
it. there was talk on foreign policy, former president trump targeting biden for how he handled the israel-hamas war and how kocurrent administration det with iran. >> israel would have never been invaded by hamas, iran was broke with me, i wouldn't let anybody do business with them, they had no money for hamas or anything. no money for terror. you had no terror at all during my administration. this place, the whole worlds is blowing up under him. >> president biden? >> president biden: i never heard so much malarkey in my life. take last point first. iran attacked american troops, caused brain damage for a number of troops and he did nothing about it when he was president. the attack, he said they are just having headaches. >> todd: rabbi, senior advisor
1:25 am
as ambassador to israel joins us now. aside from general cognition, rabbi, joe biden lost most points when he brought up afghanistan, scarlet r letter for him and his response to israel. your thoughts? >> well, todd, good morning, that was beginning of the end of debate from a foreign policy perspective, to bring up afghanistan and not realize what a debacle it was, to not remember the 13 that died on that day is insult to their memory and insult to anybody who has served. it avoided the calamity. president trump said nobody claims responsibility. he made fun of people for firing people, no place more than in foreign policy and the facts on
1:26 am
the ground speak for themselves. >> todd: from sheer optics perspective, any doubt which of these two should be leading the united states on the world stage with allies and adversaries. i'm watching thinking if i'm north korea or russia, i'm salivating at the thought of another four years of joe biden. >> you are 100% correct. imagine if you live in taiwan or israel or ukraine this morning, how you feel when you woke up and saw what wound up happening. we are looking at likely the most dangerous five months we have ever experienced as u.s. citizens without a doubt, there is concern from our allies whether this president after seven days on the channel of his
1:27 am
choosing, time of his choosing, was not able to handle 90's minutes, what will he do with a 3:00 a.m. phone call? >> todd: great point, what about the next four to five months. get down to electoral politics of this. focus on that liberal jewish person that lives in michigan, nevada, virginia, even if they were thinking of pulling the lever for joe biden after all that happened on october 7, after last night, can they still pull that lever for joe biden? >> no, they cannot. i don't think anybody can pull that lever. president trump said something that was underrated this evening. joe biden says he ran because of charlottesville, that speech has been debunked thousands of times and people keep saying it over and over again. what president trump said is jewish people felt
1:28 am
charlottesville over and over again since october 7 with nothing but bare words from the president of the united states of america. there was an riot and i call it attempted lynching outside of a synagogue, where was the police, where was anything but a statement from the president of the united states of america. it is not safe for jews to walk to synagogues. how anybody can vote for joe biden as president boggles my mind. >> todd: we appreciate it. vast majority of young voters think joe biden is too old to be president, that according to a poll. >> carley: gen-zers react to the president's performance right after this. but instead remade over and over... into the things that keep our food fresher,

>> president biden: first of all, i spent half my career being criticized being youngest person in politics. is i was second youngest ever elected to the united states senate, now i'm the oldest. >> i took two cognitive tests, i aced both of them. >> carley: president biden and former president trump face questions about their age and cognitive ability. how did their answers resonate with gen-z voters. good morning to you all. ryan, i will start with you. latest sienna poll shows 87% of voters think president biden is too old to be a competent president, what happens now? >> i think that number drastically goes up.
1:35 am
last night after the debate i watched msnbc, cnn, fox, whichever one i could get and every one had a different message than before. they had a messaging of what are we going to do with biden, i do not think it was a great night for biden or democrats at all. end of the day, that number is going to go up and i know my friends and people i know in the gen-z community definitely think age is a problem for biden. >> carley: i'm sure some stumbles will make their way to social media and young people get their news from social media platform, that could persuade certain young people to vote a certain way. jamill, a lot of the night was talking about how bad the other person was, a lot of punches thrown. here is one moment president biden wishes did not happen,
1:36 am
listen to this. >> what he's done to the black population is horrible, he called them super predators for years. that was the name and they have taken great offense and now see it happening. >> carley: what did you think about that and debate over all? >> i think when biden responded to that and called president trump a convicted felon, it was telling he used it as pajorative and he does not realize he is grandfather of the 1994 crime bill where he called black americans predators and, woed with clinton to incarcerate them for petty drug crimes. when he goes after trump for whatever comments he's made, he forgets how much damage he's done to the black community and
1:37 am
dealing with the problems with his own son shows his -- happening in his administration is not effective in changing his actual feelings on the matter. it shows everything he's said up to now especially with kamala harris is that it has been mostly for face. >> carley: jasmine, i understand you are at the debate location where the excitement went down yesterday. one thing president biden tried to do was talk about america in a positive way and say america is stronger now than ever before. listen here. >> president biden: most admired country in the world, we're the united states of america, there is nothing beyond our capacity, finest military in history much the world, no one thinks we're weak. no one wants to screw around with us. >> carley: you can appreciate the patriotism, when there are
1:38 am
americans being held hostage in gaza and americans being held prisoner in russia, does that cent sentiment ring true? >> that is not true, you see anti-american exceptionalism and biden continues to lead this country down the wrong path. covering hamas protests, i've seen people equate israelis people to nazis. i was approached by a woman shouting she was hamas. there are so many false narratives and this did not happen under president trump. >> carley: thank you for joining us for post-debate coverage. we appreciate you. more reaction from caroline levitt, joe concha and rachel

- [narrator] life with ear ringing sounded like a constant train whistle i couldn't escape. then i started taking lipo flavonoid. with 60 years of clinical experience, it's the number one doctor recommended brand for ear ringing. and now i'm finally free. take back control with lipo flavonoid. her uncle's unhappy. i'm sensing an underlying issue.
1:43 am
it's t-mobile. it started when we tried to get him under a new plan. but they they unexpectedly unraveled their “price lock” guarantee. which has made him, a bit... unruly. you called yourself the “un-carrier”. you sing about “price lock” on those commercials. “the price lock, the price lock...” so, if you could change the price, change the name! it's not a lock, i know a lock. so how can we undo the damage? we could all unsubscribe and switch to xfinity. their connection is unreal. and we could all un-experience this whole session. okay, that's uncalled for. did well. it is hard to debate a liar.
1:44 am
he lied 26 times, big lies. >> todd: president biden seemed satisfied with his debate performance despite dealing with a sore throat. many americans are not buying his performance was because of a common cold. >> carley: karoline leavitt joins us now. good morning to you. the word we got before the debate, president biden sequestered for a team, week, team of 16. now we're hearing he had a cold and that was excuse for his performance, what do you think about his debate last night and how does president trump feel about it? >> president trump won last night and dominated last night's
1:45 am
debate. he pointed out contrast in joe biden's america, where we have veterans living on the streets while illegals are living in hotels. he talked about wars raging and how he'll get us out of them. as far as joe biden, it was catastrophic performance last night. he was mumbling and when you couldn't make out what he said, it was lies. we could the not be prouder of president trump. >> todd: this breaking news report out of axios, all, not some, not a lot, all undecided voters in a pollster group said president biden should be replaced as democratic nominee
1:46 am
after watching the debate. luntz said he never witnessed one reach a conclusion this overwhelming and jake our own j said gop won the house and senate. forget the white house, how confident are you and the trump campaign that republicans are going to take over dc come november? >> we've been confident this entire time and our campaign and president trump has been telling the world joe biden is not fit to serve for another four years and democrats have been denying that reality and refusing to look at polls and not talking to voters who are saying they don't feel confident in joe biden's ability to lead.
1:47 am
joe biden cannot be president for another four years. unfo unfortunate for the democratic party, it is too late to throw another horse in the race. best of luck to them, president trump will be in commonwealth of virginia going on offense in deep blue state that has not been won in years, republicans are going to win it. >> carley: what do you think this debate will do for fundraising totals? >> well, we expect that our fundraising will continue to skyrocket as it has in big moments throughout the campaign. we're grateful for support we are receiving. go to donaldjtrump.com, this man is fighting to secure the border, bring down cost of
1:48 am
living for you at home and we needs all hands on deck. everyone chip in. we're so excited average donation is $70, just proving president trump is backed by millions of hard-working americans whoun wa change. >> carley: has the trump campaign considered the possibility president biden might not be the candidate? >> well, look, there is just over 100 days left until this election temperature is virtually impossible to put another name on the ballot come november. we're prepared for anything. end of the day, democratic policies have driven america into chaos, open border plsz policy allowed innovation of criminals and terrorists, which joe biden denied last night and refused to take responsibility for the crisis and refused to
1:49 am
apologize to families that have been torn apart. he denied reality americans are seeing. open borders, higher taxes and more wars. president trump stands for secure borders, no inflation, less taxes and peace around the world. >> todd: we appreciate it. bring in "fox and friends" weekend host rachel campos-duffy having breakfast with froons "the real housewives" early. they will be on "fox and friends" to see what voters thought about last night. rcd, the floor is yours. >> rachel: good morning, guys. last night i was at the republican party viewing party and it was fascinating. the overwhelming thought was absolutely joe biden bombed big time. you heard a lot of people talking about how scared they are that he still has months to
1:50 am
go running this country and many of them saying they were concerned that somebody like him were in charge, because they had kids of the age that could be drafted. they are worried about world war iii and cost of living and they want to know who is running this country. those were remarks i got. >> todd: tell that lady that tried to take a picture that carley and i smiled for her picture and we hope it comes out beautifully. >> carley: todd waved. >> todd: rachel campos-duffy, thank you, have a great diner section. look forward to seeing you later in the show. >> todd: they are deciding this thing part and parcel. media fall out was swift. joe concha is here with the best reaction next.

our purpose is not just closing a loan. we want to do whatever is best for the individual service person. we want to be known as america's mortgage company for veterans and active duty service people, and they and their families. we're the ones that are there to help them. people are doing hard, arduous, difficult, dangerous things. some of them are giving their lives right now today for the freedoms that we have here in this country. they're willing to do that for you for me and for our family. so for us at newday, to have the opportunity to turn around and help those people at this point in time. it's a labor of love. it's a noble service. and that's what we're all about. no one takes care of veterans like newday usa.

repeat multiple times this weekend across our great country, arguing over handicap. >> carley: things got more loosy goosy. this was a conversation about cognitive ability and age and donald trump was like, i've taken two cognitive tests, i just won a golf competition. and president biden said a handicap of six. >> carley: everybody said that is a lie, no way that could be true. >> todd: we will show video of the two candidates golfs. my mom says all the time, this is the problem with men running things they get their male ego. it was on display in front of millions upon millions. >> carley: donald trump said

let's not be children and focus on the debate. we focused on president biden's debate performance. trump did not take the bait. biden wanted to insult him to the point where he would act out and that did not happen. >> todd: more media reaction from last night's debate. >> president biden: what i've been able to do with the covid, excuse me, dealing with everything we had to do with -- look, if we finally beat medicare, what we'll do with more border patrol and more asylum officers. >> president trump? >> i don't know what he said at the end of this and i don't think he knows either. >> there is a deep, a wide and a very aggressive panic in the

democratic party. >> that is his performance after five days at camp david and rest. campaign had to have an explanation. >> carley: joe concha joins us now. if you look at politico right now, number one headline, democrats have no way to spin this. democrats are freaking out over biden debate performance. democrats could replace biden and wtf panicked dems looking for alternatives to biden. do you suspect this coverage will last? >> joe: yes. this is now the theme of summer, and thanks for having me. the panic is real, here is real, online and what we saw last night as you have been discussing all morning and post-debate coverage, joe biden is done. he is not going to be the democratic nominee, not after
1:59 am
last night. there will not be another debate in september. we've been talking for many months, if not years, cognitive ability, mental acuity, it does not exist anymore. as i have been pointing out again and again and many other analysts, as well, we were called, not conspiracy theorists, our coverage was called into question for observing a man who is president of the united states and saying this person does not look like he is there anymore. he should not be a golf starter at your local golf course let alone president of the united states. media coverage finally caught up and we've been vindicated, the question is who replaces joe biden. it is not a matter of if, it is
2:00 am
a matter of when. >> todd: the sound bite is bad, is it worse, are they panicking? 20 seconds to you, joe. >> scale of one to 10, they are panicking on scale of 15 at this point. they thought because he would prep for all that time, he would be okay if they pumped him with enough whatever, he would be okay, the panic is real, guys. >> carley: what a difference in an election cycle. another debate will take place on september 10th. >> todd: scheduled. >> joe: not happening. >> carley: big morning of news to come. >> todd: where do we go from here? they will ask that question on "fox and friends." it begins right now.
