10:04 pm
he had a crowd there. c he made it very clear. and that wasrowd clear. >> yeah. i'm not going not going anywhere. but it is also notableg he has that it's something that he has to say right now. i mean, four months until the election and he is in ationa position where he has to say, i'm not goinnd ag anywhere right now. and that is the president right now walking out of the whitelki house on the balconyou about to look at the 4th of july y. eworks displa he's smiling right now. but you have to wonder what's rig havgoing on inside his min. >> well, this is a big momentt o for the president where he just has to stand and say to the american people, he looked at his clock, he looked at his watch, because he's waiting ford the fireworks to go off. i think we're all looking at our watches right now. looky.arley:, a big spotlight om right now, i mean, literally e everyfiguraely, becaus single step he makes, every single word he utters is goingtl to be, you know, under a microscope. and there is his family now comingl be out as well. his family celebrating 4th of july with him.
10:05 pm
l ly celsome tender moments there. but look, guys, he's got to prove to the american people, you know, those poll numbers that are coming out now internallpeoplel externally are not good after the debate. so he's got to do some things. and the campaign has been pushing him out there to doth e photo ops and to do an interview coming up tomorrow. u a lot of folks in d.c., especially the white house press corpow as, really ws him to do a live press briefing from the briefing room, as so many other presidents have donet in the past. he just hasn't. and i thin ande justk that is wt set the record straight and be w able to portray that he can he can stay up there forfor 90 minutes and take live fire questioning and be able to handle it , because these sit down interviews. lawrence you know, joey, you can jump in here. he i don't know how much they proved to the american people. i mean, if it's a taped interview, even if it's, you know, an hour long that you
10:06 pm
know, are you fit for that? you're talking about the tape interview that he's supposed tomorrow was that abc tomorrow? but, joey, the thing that he's>w facing right now is when it comes to, you know, we're not talking about the next four years, if he decides he's not going to runext fn, hey also be saying i'm unfit to lead right noint w. he and so the president is having to tackle two things. does he remain president o presf the united states, not just the four years in the campaign that is set foot in just a few months? you know, it's not mean spirited or unkind to want wan the president of the united state s in a in a place where we have two wars going on that we're directly involved in is goinn a time when we feele the border really makes us unsafe in a time where we bo to get back on track again, in a time when there's just a lot that americans are concerned lot about. you want the sharpest person in that office oamerican in in w months, we have a chance to pick one. so this i don't think this is . mean conversation. it's not some it's a conspiracdy theory. it's a necessary one. i mean, we just watched a video of him talkingcy theor and he looks
10:07 pm
slow and he looks rigid and he does not looooksk spry. and you say that they want him to come down and do a press conference. until he does, we have to deduce that he and can't. >> yeah, it's true. and, you know, it's -- it's a conversation that the white house and the president t has to face head on. and he did a series of radioth interviews today. and in them he said, listen, i made a mistake. istake it was 90 minutes. but look at my record fo irhe the past three and a half years. when you have a weak record as a presidena halfhavet, you can'u that because then people look at it and say, loo'tk at what's going on with the open border. you know what's going on with the economy. looks yo at what's going on wite crime. is that really what he wants? the american people toon be focusing on? >> and that's what we should be talking about right now, because quite honestly, fore tak progressives, he's got a good record. the vice president, kamala harrist becausssives, has now ct as well, who has been r for himcomingtne as well. so many folks have been throwing her name out ther out e as a possible replacement on the ticket in washington. so many circle a possis that i'n

in someone getting electedte president. we may not like it, but we m accept it. and that's the donor class todaay not y, the heirs of disney pulled funding today, i believe the i don't know his name, but he's the guy behind netflix who said he's noe gu longer goin to fund. that's a problem. they raised th d almost 100 million less than donald trump this quarter. >> you know, just now joining cup is real quickly the big independence day special you're seein e dag the presidentf th of united states, joe biden, the first lady, as well as kamala harris, the secondlada gentleman as well. they just made their way. you'vendeconn as seen the presis grandchildren. right now. we're standing by for the firework andchilds show as the president as well. they're calling. yeah, you know, it's funny because usually we're watching the fireworks. we're watching them watcfunny be h the fireworks because there's so many the fireworks of theirth very own inside the white house right now. interesting thing about th e right ein shot that we're seeing is thatst last year the vice yea president was not on the dais with the president. so i think this is what they're unity. that's exactly right. lastly, and yet, the first time
10:10 pm
that the president had a sit down lunche fi with the vice president after this debate was on wednesday , on tuesday, rather. so the one person we haven't seen yet is hunter biden. well, he was in the back. did you see him? just want to go see the young child, feed their little boy. and there's been. yeah, that's the way they want to provoke that is what theye want the country to see that they are united, that he's not tot going anywhere. and she is steadfast right behind him. s they and i guess they're pointing up at the fireworks now, which i believe have begun'rherks no. but look, i mean, i got to say,, ,yeah, there go the fireworks. look at that. just beautiful sight there in washington. the nation's on capital on this 4th of july. this is a big moment fors thi the country, guys. and there a lot could change in the next couple of days. at the end of the day, itth all comes down to how much t pressure can this president withstand so far he's been able to do it, but we haven't heard very many voices d

the like happy birthday, america. a stunning display of fireworks over our nation's capital. just a beautiful fireworksng di in front of those monuments. the image, though, that is going to bfi e on every newspaper tomorrow is the momentpresid that president biden there that you see at the balcony of the white house, grabbed the hand of his vice president and they both raised their hands up united and really looking defiant in the face of criticism coming not only from republicans and voters, but also membersf fh of their own party, people asking them loteins

of newspapers across the country, asking them mak to make a decision for the president to step aside. and there's that image that's going to be talked about tomorrow as the really essentially telling the world we're not going anywhere. he's not going anywhere andgoin we're in this together. we're in this foan hr the long haul. >> big hurdle for for the president, as i look at ther images that are carly, knowing the old joe bideident ann being democrat back in the day, his greatest asset wasas his ability to be with people and to have that charm, that charismy toa, to point to e crowd, talk to people, hug people and the thing that he cannot escape is time and the i stiffness. and you see the current president of the united states tryins ang in that videot he's trying to to show this presence that he's still there. i'm not going anywhere. we played that cli ip earlier in the show, but i'm not sure that meets the moment. it's true. and as i was watching the

they sent tonight to thosemessae that write the checks and those that rally the troops. i think what's so importanthat' to remember as well is that they're not just speaking to us. you know, the presso s, ress the viewers out there, the voters out there, they're also speaking to democrats within their own party there. there are many democrats out there privatel y, very much so, you know, talking to us in the ardia, telling us how frustrated they are, especially after that just a disastrous debate performance. but then there are somfterhae that are being vocal. so they're really trying to stem this from becoming a tsunameing'sreally ti of crit. right now, it's just a little a few little ripples. what the y don't want to seecome is become a really big problem that they cannotproble they cant fix. >> the problem is no, carly, is that there's not enough democratx.'s not es that want to on the record and put their name on it. and they're not doing that at this momen ot. and just to wrap it up, we did see a lot of the family members we saw hunter with his son and a lot of the grandkids. we know that the family is ap rallying around the president right now. we saw them all togetherit
