and fox news contributor. jason, it is abundantly clear it is a make or break day and certainly week. something that caught my eye this morning was axioms, you may have seen this writing about just how real and intense the pressure is on biden in the calls against and they write this president biden says nothing besides an active god will persuade him to quit his reelection campaign. but outside biden's protective bubble a fast growing number of democrats are praying for and plotting a more earthly intervention. they want everyone from the obama's two congressional leaders to bag biden to drop out of the race by this friday. you are in congress, you are friendly with calls like the one leader jeffries is holding. how do you see this going? >> democrats created this problem buried the demise of the cognitive capabilities of our president did not happen last

moving to the northwest at 10 miles an hour. it is been kind of stuck there right around 60 miles an hour, 65 miles an hour we are running over warm water we do expect throughout the rest of today into early tomorrow morning before it makes it landfall this will continue to strengthen ultimately still forecast to become a category one hurricane. deceit winds up to 85 miles an hour by the time you get into early monday morning. hurricane warning's are in place from south of corpus christi running all the way up to sgt a little further to the north and look at houston. tropical storm warnings are currently in place they could be seeing some tropical storm wins. here is our in-house forecast model prayer there's still room for this to move a little bit because you a sense of where the storm could go at 10:00 p.m. seeing some of the rain, seeing winds begin to batter the coast before ultimately really pushing on shore early tomorrow morning over night in houston by 6:00 a.m. think a bunch of activity. very heavy rain there. the rain is going treated part of this especially on the

eastern side of the storm. by the time we get into tomorrow afternoon were washed and storm of into portions of north texas. griff: meteorologist adam klotz in the whether center thank you. alicia: on the ground in houston streets are already waterlogged as people scramble to prepare for beryl to come ashore but likely as a category one hurricane. fox weather correspondent katie vern live in galveston. how are things looking right now? >> a lot of people are spending today getting ready for this pair were in that lowest lying neighborhood here in galveston. this typically sees a lot of flooding and people are preparing for that to happen. you see the water behind meat we are on the bayside right now they are protected by a seawall here all of this water is likely to flood the street in the next few hours as we approach high tide. you're not would see a ton of cars in the driveway so that's a big priority people are moving those to higher ground. where we are we are just north

everyone in south texas wrapped box with a correspondent katie vern live in galveston, texas thank you. griff: further south along the texas coast brita is alive in surfside beach what are you seeing? >> it definitely an increase in the wind also a huge group of folks coming out to look at the waves before they have to head up the barrier island we are positioned further south from galveston surfside beach which is about an hour south of houston were under hurricane warning and the storm surge morning. by the time it's this evening love feet of water over the rock jetty moving into this neighborhood. the homes in surfside beach is known for storm surge they struggle with storm surge you get coastal flooding during high tide it's interesting because beryl is over hundred miles from landfall we have seen a little bit of flooding this morning.

in fact minor wash over already on areas around surfside beach. there is a mandatory evacuation local officials letting residents out they choose to stay tonight they are on their own. they will beat marooned and surrounded by the storm surge. it might not get into their homes, they are going to be stuck there. unfortunately in this location we are concerned about the strong winds. in fact we could get very close to the eye wall meaning the strongest winds good brushing along the coastline later tonight addition to the tornado warnings are pretty much a guaranteed multiple threats we are looking out for us in surfside beach. but you're in the southwestern part of the state. let's talk about the folks who live in the place you represent. what are they concerned about right now is all of this is going on? >> absolutely, thank you for having me. yes southwestern pennsylvania is a very, very different than the southeast. my district is literally the arms of west virginia. we have a different lifestyle different mindset these arrays in the coal mines and gas and oil fields. it is the heart and soul of energy for pennsylvania. we have a very different lifestyle and way of thinking. alicia: in the state of pennsylvania in 2020 president biden beat trump there by about 80000 votes. things have obviously tightened tremendously in the critical must win state for both candidates. now, while all of this is going

on you've seen a lot of top elected officials in the state of pennsylvania coming to the defense of president biden since the debate performance apart for example senator john fetterman on x's" democrats seem to get a spine or grow a set, one or the other biden is our guy. how does that hit you when you sail this going on? >> a couple of different ways one i work with john fetterman for several years as he was the president of the senate and i've been a center for going on 10 years now. when john fetterman was running for office he was not the president of the nights he was not on a world stage. i don't really care what happens on a debate stage as much is the world stage right now we have a president who is stumbling, and forgetful, and the excuses that have been made for his performance he was tired, he had a cold, he was traveling. those are excuses you might make

for a toddler having a tantrum but not the leader of the free world. secondly the democrat party is in complete disarray right now. they knew president biden was in this type of cognitive condition for a very long time tried desperately to hide it there was no hiding in that debate with the 60 days of preparation we saw clearly the leader of the free world, the president of the united states was incapable of even having a 90 minute debate and looking like a leader this is embarrassing and frankly dangerous. >> setting to western pennsylvania beutler county is not the district you represent but neighboring. can you talk about hoping to hear pretty much a pennsylvania as a whole over all. we are not the party of chaos. even the democrat party many, many of my friends are on the other side of the aisle.
