you want to do things that are going to help them progress academically and so forth. then i also check myself and i'm like wait a second, mine is six. let's not get ahead of ourselves. let them enjoy childhood and just be. when we were growing up you had to figure up what to do. you weren't constantly entertained. it is a balance of everything. which is difficult. you are balancing it with the cost of childcare, which is outrageous. >> ainsley: moms and dads have to work extra because of inflation. everything is so much more expensive. >> a hamster wheel. you have to work more to survive as opposed to enjoy life. it is so difficult. no matter what you do, there is so much content telling you how to parent, what to feed them. how to discipline them. there is a lot of pressure. i'm sure you are caught in the moment, too, where you are like what is the right thing to do? you were telling me that your

daughter is starting -- >> ainsley: she did an all around camp. a swim camp. tomorrow she starts a pony camp because she loves to ride horses and then goes to sleepaway camp. it is all expensive but learning through those events and learning to get out in the community and surrounded by friends. she loves it. it is a struggle for parents around the country having to pay for daycare while they work. they feel guilty. >> you feel guilty. i took off two weeks where it was being present with him and enjoying that time. at a certain point you want them to be around their friends and get socialized and disciplined by somebody else. he doesn't listen to me all the time. he listens to his teachers more than he does me. it is a good balance. >> ainsley: they get the book, the summer reading. on spn you have hitting home, rebuilding the dream. hard to get to that american dream. >> it is much harder because of the current climate but i still do believe that real estate
