what you would do if you are vice president? >> well, i think the easiest thing to say, president trump and i, zero daylight between his position and mine. pick someone who has had the position he's landed on, which is i'm absolutely and totally opposed to federal abortion ban. i ran on that as president. when i was running for president, i made that clear i was opposed to that. read the "wall street journal" or "new york post" today, we are aligned. he's brought the republican party and taken this issue off the table. when i've been campaigning in swing states, not been an issue. i've been doing it six months. why? president trump does not want to impose rules. he cares about maternal health and issues that matter to eshg m. it is left to states and what north dakota decide does not work in minnesota. i've said that all along and whole campaign. this is place where during that

debate president trump took this issue, turned it for weakness for republicans and turned into a strength. democrats are extremists in this. joe biden did not have an answer for that. take it further, historic, what happened in last two weeks, democrats, forget candidate and joe biden incapability right now to do the job, forget all that. they replace him with someone else, campaign strategy was be afraid or be more afraid. be afraid of lack of democracy or be afraid we are taking away rights around this issue. now president trump in two weeks, there is so much chaos is on the polling, people are more concerned about joe biden's threat as a democracy and this other issue is not going to be a campaign issue for president trump, for me or anybody campaigning because it belongs to the states and will not be a campaign issue. >> steve: governor, talk about

the other side. joe biden campaign has been in disarray, since the debate, according to "new york times," biden campaign is polling kamala harris versus joe biden at the top of the ticket. they want to know who does better with the american people. we've seen polling, neither of them do well. what do you make of the chaos, sounds like party leaders, barack obama and nancy pelosi are trying to force joe off the stage. there is cbs story that dozens of congressmen and senators are ready to pull the plug on joe biden in a coordinated effect tell him over the next 24 hours, you got to go. >> this is what happens when you don't really have real leadership. in 2020, what happened in spring during the campaign on the democratic primary, joe biden got fifth in new hampshire and 10 days later he wins south carolina, there is ruling

coalition established between all the different groups and they were all the part that were deciders and decided then, they made him president then and propped him up and last 18 months when everybody knew the condition he had, they hid that from the american public, hoping to get him to the finish lean next january 20th and then swap him out. that is not democracy. this ruling coalition does not know where to turn. if you put the vice president, somebody else in, how do they get back on the same page? they are in complete disarray on this regime they put together and i don't know if they can put it back together. president trump is so strong, he will beat whoever they put on the ticket, driving inflation, open borders, causing war overseas, the policies don't change when you change the candidate.

a battleground state? i think it is because it is. you need a number of different things, you need democratic voters, a million democratic voters to look at their party and candidates and say we're screwing up royally. we have chaos at top, inflation, migrant crisis in new york city and now in the suburbs and leading a lot of democrats to say, wait a second, maybe my party has let me down and i should try something different. you need a candidate who will campaign differently. you saw that with president trump. he held his rally in new york, not on long island, in the south bronx and that is what you have to do. reach out to minority voters, african american voters latino voters and jewish voters are upset with biden, real opportunity in new york. >> brian: i want you to hear president biden saying he's doing everything possible to
