ingraham angle from washington. tonight, after an uneven press conference. joe biden is now campaigning in michigan. well, he's losing there. he's about to come out to speak. we're going to follow it very closely. we'll bring you any juicy developments. but first, the big con that's the focus of tonight's angle. ladies and gentlemen, president putin, president putin, we've got beat president putin, president zelensky, you mixed up, presidents, zelensky and putin earlier today, i wouldn't have picked vice president trump to be vice president, but i think she was not qualified to be president. he referred to vice president harris as vice president trump. right now, donald trump is using that to mock your age and your memory. how do you combat that criticism from tonight's listen to him. this concludes tonight's press conference. and now with biden dug in, democrats are trotting out a
1:02 am
new talking point that biden's bumbles are almost reassuring to america because he wouldn't be joe without him. the gaffes and mixing up names, i think for people who've been observing joe biden for a really long time, that's actually just normal biden. he had the energy, the capacity and the ability to be normal, to be normal. joe biden, it's normal. no, it's imbecilic, which is an adjective that has followed biden his entire adult life. now, we all know why obama didn't give him any assignments. my, the guy who runs that outfit over there. thanks to all members of congress and homeland security secretary. i'm not sure i'm going to show the way, but all kidding aside, secretary mayorkas. but no matter how hard biden's supporting cast tries to spin this, people who were paying attention, certainly reporters covering biden were fully aware of how fast he was slipping. but the white house, with an
1:03 am
unrelenting audacity, dismissed any concerns that were raised. i would put the president's stamina, the president's wisdom, ability to get this done on behalf of the american people against anyone, anyone on any day of the week. as democrats accuse president trump of pushing the big lie about the last election, they were busy selling the big con about joe biden. now, it wasn't just the white house staffers. the cabinet was in on it, too. more on that later. but given how bad biden was in public, events where he had his staff nearby a teleprompter, all those note cards, there is no way on god's green earth that biden suddenly became cogent and persuasive behind closed doors. no one, and i mean no one who spent any time with biden, not his family, not pelosi, not jeffries, not schumer, no donor or hollywood celebrity who was in his presence for any extended period of time, believed that
1:04 am
biden was at the top of his game. so the real scandal here is that they all knew that he was teetering. and rather than come clean with the party and the american people, they were all holding their collective breath, hoping that with their interventions, he'd squeak by until november. and now those same dishonest people are trying to convince us that biden's frail condition is a recent development. everyone is trying to figure out, sort of when did things change with him? and it was 112 days between his state of the union and the debate in atlanta, and during that 112 days, did something change? did his condition change? it's an answer, we don't know, but it's something people are talking about a lot. yeah, something sort of accelerated. you know what accelerated? biden's dropping the polls? dementia or parkinson's like conditions occur over time. they don't suddenly appear. but everyone is trying to dodge
1:05 am
responsibility here. and we're supposed to believe that senior democrats knew nothing was amiss. a longtime biden adviser just texted me. i'm angry at his inner circle who have not served him well and at times committed malpractice in their service. and i am frustrated at the family, the biden family, for not expanding the circle so there would be at least a truth teller or two in their midst. they created a perfect storm of an echo chamber, and it is biting them all in the well. how unusual. i've been in dc way too long, but someone in washington, dc is passing the buck. never happens. well, we're not going to let the democrats off the hook here. the truth is, by propping up biden, they were gambling with the economy, our national security, and yeah, even the constitution. we know biden's not making any of the big calls. so who is no one voted for doctor jill or any of those lightweights biden has in his
1:06 am
cabinet? and we sure as heck didn't vote for hunter. who knows, maybe a few prostitutes did what everyone needs to remember tonight is that they were willing to keep this con going for four more years. even now, they'll stand by their decrepit man of course, politico says it's just a conservative conspiracy theory, all of this. but in fact, officials are tacitly admitting that they in fact did know that biden was a mess. abc interviewed several attendees of the white house, juneteenth celebration. a former obama white house official described biden at the event as aloof and stiff, and his speech as garbled. yet they were okay with riding with a broken down, barely coherent joe biden, one lawmaker said her assessment of the president at the event came after she had privately raised concerns to the white house staffers months before, jokingly saying they could keep the president stitched together until the election. keep him
1:07 am
stitched together. it really is weekend at biden's. the most transparent administration ever. weren't we told that? so how desperate are they to hold on to power? well, alabama state rep juandalynn givan told abc news. i'm a democrat. i'm going to vote for biden if he's on a diaper, if he's in a stroller. but am i concerned? absolutely. but if i have to give consideration to biden or donald trump, i'm voting for biden in a diaper. i added that part. all right. this is shameless for not only their coordinated efforts to conceal biden's condition, but for the damage that these people inflicted on america over the past three and a half years. all of them deserve total political annihilation. so november must be a repudiation, not just of their scheming about biden's condition, but of their disastrous policies that their figurehead president put in place to rob america blind.
1:08 am
it was all a big con, and that's the angle. all right. joining us now, florida congressman byron donalds. congressman, biden administration officials now trying to come across as the great truth tellers. oh, well, i have to put the country first by telling everybody what i sa. where were they when we needed them and their so-called new honesty. laura. good to be with you. they were covering up. let's let's tell the truth here. they were covering up this entire time because they were protecting. protecting their job, protecting the agenda and protecting joe biden in that order. now that the cat's out of the bag, now that the entire world has seen that joe biden does not have the capabilities to do this job for four years, let alone for four or more months, now they're coming out because they're trying to protect themselves. the biggest tragedy in all is that we are witnessing the
1:09 am
biggest presidential cover up, in my view, in american history, because they have hid from the american people with a 24 hour media that joe biden doesn't have. the capabilities to do the job and that, frankly, you have a cadre of henchmen behind the scenes who are running this country, and he is nowhere to be seen. this is a real tragedy for our country, especially considering the fact that this agenda run by all these acolytes in this administration has been an abject failure for the american people. well, it's not just biden on the brink, it's america on the brink. and i made this clear tonight. i want to say it again. while his cognitive decline is a complete scandal in the cover up, the decline of america under his leadership, which we know wasn't leadership, it was all just figurehead stuff that is the damaging, devastating referendum that americans are going to vote on in november. that's my view. the cognitive
1:10 am
decline pretty much everyone was aware of. it's the damage to america that people are going to use to throw him out of office. no, you're exactly right. and this is why when they're talking about, is he going to stay at the top of the ticket, will it be kamala harris or anybody else? doesn't matter. in my view. it doesn't matter who's up top. the agenda remains the same. you will still have massively open borders. you will still have a weak and feckless foreign policy. you will still have an economy that is stagnating, where wages have fallen behind inflation and the american people can't get ahead. it's about joe biden, but it's really about the entire democrat party and the democrat elites who do not care about the plight facing the american people. they only want their agenda. and this is why donald trump is surged in the polls. he has led in the polls. and this is why he's going to be the 47th president of the united states. well, ron klain, who, of course, helped biden prepare for his nightmarish
1:11 am
debate performance was in classic spin mode today. watch this. his fitness to serve as proven by him serving and his serving with excellence and distinction and continuing to lead the world, bringing down prices here at home, doing more to grow the economy, create jobs. i think you know the proof that he can be president is that he is president. and i think that's the i think that's the fundamental metric. congressman, the fact is tonight, the new york times is reporting that top democrats who have lent their support to biden in michigan are, interestingly, otherwise occupied tonight as the president takes the stage. and i'm talking everyone from gretchen whitmer to other high placed officials in michigan. what does that tell you? and a state that's as important as that one. it tells me that they don't want to have any parts of what's going on with joe biden, but that's not what they've been doing the last three and a

half years. laura, they were there when he did his stupid american rescue plan, which unleashed a labor shortage in our country, which created a massive inflation. they were there when he when he led the disastrous withdrawal from afghanistan, where we lost 13 soldiers, which joe biden didn't even remember two weeks ago. they've been with him every step of the way, but now they want to run and hide. this is truly a decision for the american people. are we going to move forward with an agenda that puts the american people first and puts our soldiers first, or are we going to follow just some other democrat? i don't think the american people are going to go there. you can already tell what's happening in michigan, new hampshire and other places. it is time for the american first agenda, led by donald trump to lead this country going forward. congressman, it doesn't matter who's on the top of the ticket. the policies have been horrendous for working families. congressman, thank you so much. all right. this is a fox news alert. a judge has just tossed out that involuntary manslaughter case against actor alec baldwin. fox
1:13 am
news jonathan hunt outside the courtroom with more jonathan, what can you tell us? well, laura, it has been a remarkable end to what has been an extraordinary day. alec baldwin left court a short time ago saying nothing at all, but safe in the knowledge that he is tonight a free man. the involuntary manslaughter charge against him dismissed by the judge after his lawyers filed a motion to dismiss that was based on the idea that a box of bullets that was made available to the defense was then not passed on by them as part of the evidence, so that they, the defense, never saw that box of bullets, which they say may well have been connected to the shooting. the fatal shooting of halyna hutchins on the set of the movie rust, and could have bolstered their claim that alec baldwin had no way of knowing that a live round would have been in the gun. now. the judge
1:14 am
asked if she could examine those bullets herself. she did so in what was an extraordinary moment in court, donning latex gloves as she did so, she then, without the jury present, listened to testimony, including from the lead prosecutor herself, who argued that those bullets were never on the set and therefore they, the defense, did not believe they were relevant. that's why they didn't give them to the prosecution. the judge listened to all that, then issued her ruling. listen the state's discovery violation has injected a needless, incurable delay into the instant jury trial. dismissal with prejudice is warranted to ensure the integrity of the judicial system and the efficient administration of justice. your motion to dismiss with prejudice is granted. when he heard those words, alec baldwin immediately began sobbing, breaking down in the court. his wife hilaria, behind him, also shedding tears after the
1:15 am
decision and after alec baldwin had left that lead, prosecutor carrie morrissey came out and i talked to her about the judge's decision. listen here, did you let the hutchins family down, no. we didn't. we did everything humanly possible to bring justice to helena and to her family. and we're proud of the work that we did, again, we disagree with the court's decision, but we have to respect it. the case. laura dismissed with prejudice. meaning those charges cannot be refiled. alec baldwin is a free man tonight. laura wow. big news. jonathan. thanks so much. coming up after last night's speech, press conference, we heard that joe biden's foreign policy expertise was showcased to the world. we'll examine it. the truth next. we planned well for retirement, but i wish have any ide we hada? that they can sell t more cashheir life ie

all were otherwise occupied. according to the near times tonight. this is a crucial speech for joe biden, he needs to set the stage once again for his third relaunch of his campaign, but joining us now as missouri senator eric schmidt, we will dip into the speech as needed to, but they are all trying to put their distance and "the new york times" is almost enjoying this tonight, i mean, they are covering every little nuance, senator, but gretchen whitmer is otherwise occupied on a friday night, what is she up to? >> yes, they are all running as fast as they can away from the sinking ship. and that's exactly what it is. there is strategy all along was to bury trump and pop-up joe biden coming neither one of those things has worked for them. they thought that they could execute the law fair and put them in jail, that's not going to happen. and people are seen through that. and also the court cases are falling apart, because they are a joke and also propping them up, they have known all along that this guy is in serious

decline, he is not up to the task, and his policies have been a total disaster. so there's so much win only so much spinning you can do before people see it with their own eyes on the debate stage, no one cannot see that and i think what is really interesting for me is this is the last gasp on this unholy alliance between the democrats permanent washington and their media allies. they have had a lot of control for a long time and they are pitted against the american people, and i think, i hope and believe the american people are going to rise up. they don't like these concentrations of power. it's all been exposed now, covid was a part of it. you are straining to see that they can hide biden before, they can do it now and i think that the people will rise up and say we want a new direction. >> laura: we can see this with our own eyes and i don't know how many times you came on the show and we were talking about joe biden clinging with a death grip to his dog-eared notecards for the most basic
1:23 am
conversations, like with the spanish president last year. it's clinging to these notecards, looking down feverishly for every little point, and i understand some names are hard to say. that's fine, and donald trump had no cards, this was something quite different and we all know it, and yet we were all called purveyors of misinformation and disinformation. so i think that this is as much of an indictment of the american media as it is the biden cabinet to the foreign diplomats who knew what time it was coming to the senior staff, but it's not all on the senior staff, they were all part of this wagon circling that was going on. >> no doubt about it, i think a fair question to kamala harris is what did you know and when did you know it? there's not been a cabinet meeting weird being told now and like eight months which is unusual, and by the way, i am a republican, obviously is served in the united states senate and represent the state of missouri. i am also an american, an american first, and the idea that the president of the

united states has to put a lid on it at 4:00 p.m. or can't get up before 10:00 a.m. and can't take a phone call and has access to the nuclear codes when a president might have six or 7 minutes to respond is insulting to the american people. i mean, this makes watergate look like small potatoes, but again, the media can't decide where they want to go with this, because they have so badly wants the democrats have complete power and control come they don't know what to do. they don't know if they should dump him or should keep them, and i think that republicans it's a great opportunity for us to present a vision for working americans so that america can be strong once again in the world, and i think that the convention next week is going to highlight the difference, but it is fascinating to watch, the people who cover this up who just a couple of weeks ago were saying these are cheap fakes, this is a right wing conspiracy, you can't lie anymore. >> laura: the big con, they say it's a big lie, it's a big con, senator, great to see you again. thank you so much. all right, remember what joe biden said last night about what you might push him to

reconsider staying in the race? >> you earlier explained confidence in your vice president, if your team came back and showed you data that she would fare better against former president donald trump, would you reconsider your decision to stay in the race? >> no, unless they came back and said, there's no way you could win. >> laura: the comprehensive new analysis by the senior adviser to bill clinton may be all the evidence joe biden needs. describing donald trump's multiple paths to 270, he notes in his "new york times" op-ed, the map of states where mr. donald trump's favorite has expanded, he now has a clear lead over mr. biden in the for some belt battle states, arizona, georgia, north carolina, and one man three of those states in 2016, joe biden won three and 2020. meanwhile, there are five traditionally solid democratic states where mr. joe biden is feared to be losing, struggling
1:26 am
or narrowly ahead. these states which total 36 electoral votes have been safely part of the democratic party base in recent years. maine, minnesota, new hampshire, and virginia, nebraska's second congressional district. this is "the new york times," if mr. joe biden were to lose these states in the seven battlegrounds, donald trump would win with 347 electoral votes. the largest presidential electoral majority since 2008. so, i read this in my jaw dropped. this analysis could be what joe biden said he would need to staff presented it to him in order to drop out of the race. and again from "the new york times," less the basic contours of the race change, and i am quoting "the new york times" here, and some of the sun belt battleground states become more competitive, which is unlikely, biden's only path to winning is
1:27 am
to carry michigan, that's why he is there tonight, pennsylvania, and wisconsin. now guys, this is a very heavy lift, joe biden is down as much as five points in pennsylvania and wisconsin, and he is even slightly down in michigan. this is a devastating piece in the times tonight, joining me now, strategist and pollster justin wallin, justin, this was something. we had like multiple full screens. i don't usually do that, but i wanted to be very clear about what we were laying out tonight, these -- this is the great disappearing path to victory for joe biden. and this is "the new york ti "the new york times." >> it's astonishing. the impact of that debate continues to roll and roll and roll, and you noted a number of different distinct shifts and changes in the contours of the race where we were only to look at where we are traditionally seen as the centocor battleground states, now
1:28 am
donald trump has a lead outside of the margin of error, so significantly need in five of those seven, which means that he wins. so if we were just going to look at the three states that he has to win in that scenario described in "the new york times," he is losing in at least one of those spy beyond the margin of error of just north of five points, this is just disastrous for the campaign. if the election were held today, it is very, very difficult to say with any credibility that anyone other than former president trump what emerged victorious. >> laura: , so joe biden must win michigan, no doubt about it, he has to win michigan, and tonight the very popular, she's one of the most popular governors in the united states, gretchen whitmer, i don't care for her, but the people of her state really apparently like the way she handled covid, she gets very popular, she is not there, debbie stabenow is not there, gary peters is not there, slot cans is there, i mean, everybody

were two different versions of reality in your party right now, well what we saw tonight clearly the speechwriters, the advisors saying just go back on offense, say that you are winning, you're the nominee, you are not going anywhere, go back through all the law fair and try to switch the conversation back to donald trump, because he got to nancy pelosi's name wrong ones, is that going to work? >> i don't know if it's going to work. what it is going to do right now is sort of tried to comfort to democrats, and buy him some time with members of congress. and i think that that's the immediate goal, and it should be, frankly, because right now he has not had a sort of general election math problem, he is a democrat and a supporter problem whether it's the donor community, members of congress, you know, questionable friends who are questioning what they should do on the side of voters, look, that's what this is about tonight.
1:44 am
it is the most aggressive that i've ever seen him probably go after donald trump, they are trying to probably get under his skin, i assume that that's intentional, because they want to see donald trump sort of -- they want to see the undisciplined donald trump, that's what they know will remind voters why the country fired him last time, they want to remind voters of what he is calling the chaos of those four years. and that's what you're seeing right here. >> laura: i want to get into the atmospherics of this tonight, because a lot of this is stagecraft. and i have been on this point, because "the new york times" made a big deal of it and i think that they were right to, to, at a profile democrats of any stature decided to be elsewhere tonight, they knew that joe biden was going to come out swinging, they knew that the staff were going to put them on offense, that's all they could do. they can't relate defending economy, they can't, they can't

do it. they can't defend the border, the camp defend perpetual war, they can't defend american still held hostage in gaza, and they knew that this would happen and they decided not to sit there and clap like seals like all of the people behind him tonight. what does that tell you about the mood of the democratic party at this moment, watching what is happening tonight? >> that there is a lot of skepticism, and that's why when you asked is this speech going to be enough, i don't know if anyone speech is going to be enough, and that's just honesty, like i love the guy. i worked for them, i love him, i'm going to vote for them, but to be honest when i talk about two reality is, we have to be honest about what is happening in the party right now, and it is very divided over what he should be doing, and i don't know if one speech can really solve that problem because it's not really about him anymore, and i don't know if they understand that. i hope that they start to come of these members, the senators have to start seeing a

difference in their own poll numbers before they can start getting back on the team. >> laura: you are nice to sit there during all of those. we'll talk to you soon. thanks so much. join me now, former active dhs secretary, former adviser to president clinton, also a democratic pollster and strategist, i want to go first to you, doug, because we predicted this would happen, they keep losing democrats. it's every hour it seems like there is another democrat teetering on the edge of abandoning joe biden, and publicly abandoning him. they think that going on the offense could make people kind of get a little temporary amnesia about what the rest of america is seeing. will that actually be successful? >> well, i think what they will do is basically run the clock out and it's a two faced strategy. you are exactly right, attacked
1:47 am
donald trump, but also, because they don't have a positive message, use populism, though old old-fashioned go to the democrats always use when they are in trouble, al gore used it, democrats have used it for time immemorial, they are trying to run out the clock, because the democratic leadership clearly wants joe biden out, he is trying to just make time his friend and so far, the leadership has not come up with a critical mass to say joe must go, this is an event to just try to freeze the action, not persuade anybody. >> laura: i want to talk about what's going on in cabinet meetings which became a topic of conversation, and chad wolf coming up have been in cabinet meetings, you know how they run, well, we are learning just now, it's convenient timing about how cabinet members have to submit
1:48 am
questions in writing to the staff i guess, to manage how this all will go down. a full cabinet meeting has not taken place since last october, did donald trump need written questions from people? or was it more freewheeling off-the-cuff? >> [laughs] well, you know the answer to that, obviously. it's freewheeling, no talking points to the president. most cabinet meetings i was involved in was a continuation of other meetings that i would have with president trump. he was up to speed on most of the issues asking the hard questions and did not have to provide any questions or answers or talking points and he had a discussion. and i think, and i was in a lot of oval office meetings as well where you would have some pretty tense discussions about serious issues. you had disagreements within the the cabinet or the senior officials, and i don't think any of that is occurring today. i don't think joe biden is in any of those discussions with us cabinet over senior officials and i think that's what the american people want to.
1:49 am
they want governments working for them. they want hard decisions being answered, and taking on some of these tough issues, and i think when i see president biden, unfortunately, they don't see a chief executive that is -- has command over those types of issues. >> laura: he was screaming at one point that he's not going anywhere and because people aren't quite -- you know, up to speed on issues, he said i am the nominee. so i think by the sheer force of will and doug knows this, the stubbornness of joe biden, he is one of the most stubborn, and i would say selfish politicians out there, as if, i've been here for 50 years, good luck trying to push me out. i think stubbornness and ego is a big part of this. very quickly. >> oh, i think that's absolutely right. he does not want his legacy to be that he had to drop out, that he was seen as incompetence, and he believes by yelling, screaming, and demanding, he can keep his position as the
