10:00 pm
>> are you calling for another lead investigation unit to be on this and take the fbi out of the picture? bring someone else in you to have the federal crime the fact correct former already in h sitn demand briefings. if he's not getting that we will know about it. i guess what i am saying is we do not need to reinvent the wheel i'm speaking on behalf of the good fbi agents i know, i hear myself we need transparency on this because without it, you will have conspiracy theories. >> always great to get your insight. thank you for coming on. as we get paul morrow and his insight, it is 1:00 a.m. on the east coast.
10:01 pm
it is 10:00 at night here and los angeles. we will get you up-to-date because breaking news continues, fbi last hour and pennsylvania state police finished their news conference, lasted about 27 minutes and they said there was no red flag, no information that led them to believe this incident might happen today. again, a lot of focus on a building that was to the right of the stage where the former president was holding his rally. that building right there is a class and plastics fauci, they make drinking containers and their and that is where the shooter was, as they said, the shooter was taken out, he was killed on that building just seconds after he fired what many are saying at least seven or eight shots for the president, toward the crowd on the stage. that location is 130 yards from the stage the former president
10:02 pm
was located and the reporting is, and we have not confirmed this door has the fbi confirmed this, the reporting is it was a high-powered semiautomatic weapon for lack of a better t term. as we talked to experts before, we know that that weapon has a range of four to 600 yards, 130 yards also in that range. it is highly lethal at 130 yards. there is the video of what we believe to be the shooter who was neutralized, killed on top of that building so the breaking news -- we have not confirmed this but reporting that the former president has arrived at newark every international airport in new jersey, fox has not confirmed that, six hours after the shooting at his rally in butler, pennsylvania. with that, it's important to bring in fox news medical contributor doctor janette nesheiwat to give us an idea.
10:03 pm
are you surprised that if he was released from the hospital this time that he's getting on a plane and likely going back to florida to get ready for the republican national convention? if you were a doctor, he would say that's fine? >> well, president trump is very tough and resilient you saw him right away after he was struck but personally, i would want my patient to be observed a little bit longer but what we see happen, we saw most likely the bullet grazed his ear. from what the pictures we saw, the external part of his earlobe was swollen. it looked like he had what was called a hematoma, collection of blood in the year and tissue damage from the bullet so most likely happened is after they conducted their initial assessment in the primary survey of what happened and check vital
10:04 pm
signs and airway and breathing, check him head to toe for all entry and exit wounds, they probably put in an iv and pain medicine and started him on antibiotics, cleaned his ear, cleaned the wound and a surgeon or specialist come repair damaged tissue whether it be internal or external surgical repair with sutures and put him on antibiotics to make sure he had his tetanus shot and close follow-up so president trump, no i'm not surprised. he is a tough and strong leader, not surprised to see him but i would probably want him to take it easy and relax because after all, we are all human. this is a shocking thing to happen to anyone. when it first happens, our adrenaline is pumping, our body enters into flight or fight mode and it's reasonable to take it easy for a day or two. >> we got the video on the left-hand side of the screen, this is the video at the airport
10:05 pm
in newark new jersey. we don't know if he's going back to florida -- we don't know if he's going to go someplace else do something else because the campaign has not released that. would you recommend may be the best advice would be go directly to the venue and get relaxation) set of thousand state to state? >> would be a good idea to rest and take it easy because it's not physical trauma, it is the mental and emotional injury. ptsd can happen to anyone but we know he is strong person, strong leader and cares about what he's doing. he cares about this country. he's not going to let anything happen. i do hope once he gets to his final destination will be able to get some rest and hopefully
10:06 pm
to be prepared for the days we see in the future the upcoming days and pray to have courage and resilience to move forward. i would hope he does take time to rest and recover. >> psychiatrist on here, what about the trauma that could be the president clearly in a rough time today. what do you make of that? does that take time to get over that? >> everyone handles shock and trauma the family. for some, it may be an initial shock and trauma that it takes time for them to register for what happened to the realists,
10:07 pm
delayed almost just get killed? assassinated? everyone is different and how they handle, they may be initial symptoms and it may not hit them until days or weeks later. everyone is human and everyone has times in their life it may be challenging and difficult and that's why i am happy for the fact that president trump has surrounded by loving family and immense support. seeing his doctor for follow-ups and wound checks and that sort of thing. we are human and i hope he gets the care he needs whether physical or medical or even talking to someone is a little bit of therapy if you will. >> it's exactly right.
10:08 pm
thank you for your insight and appreciate it. retired nypd. i want to go forward, i'm sure you saw the fbi or parts of the fbi in pennsylvania state police news conference earlier tonight and am wondering what you think of the information they are releasing, do you believe they might be withholding a little bit of information? it has been vetted or they're not quite sure yet. what is the next step in this investigation and your assessment? >> i believe rightly so. his associates might be an getting search warrants for areas they have to make sure where they are going to and it is on their side but i think they know who this person is and is identified.
10:09 pm
in the way it is handled, there will be handled later on and assess everything they do in every major incident in this country. this one is more out there than anything we've seen as of late. refer to the perimeter, that is the outer perimeter. this team means more manpower, a preassessment team to go and again. all of these open sites. we are dealing with president trump and how many times and told them, this isn't a good idea? let's not stop at this area and stops anyways. he's a people guy. everybody knows it and loves it and drives on it but it's an element of risk that everybody has to assess on the go and
10:10 pm
assess these things this is nothing, i know they had the team beforehand. given the manpower, they could have gone further but they had to focus on the stage and where the president was to put the manpower to the area. as of the currency and you are asking for what happened next at this event coming up in the next couple of days. it is a lot, a lot of work goes into it. there's a lot of work that goes into this. i think you will have a lot more work going. >> they have the resources to do a lot more work, 24 hours to beat this plan of if you meant to be that or is it one of those things? we know the fbi and local security is very good at
10:11 pm
securing an indoor venue. they are very good at it. they've got all of this stuff to work, securing outdoor events so do they have to go the extra mile to secure republican national convention? >> i think there's a lot of eyeballs on this attack and u.s. secret service is going to kick up to get every resource will be dumped in beating this up. escalating all the layers. this is so high profile but i always think the president loves it. i think he wants to get out there and sees it as an opportunity. this is just one of those ways, the master this pr wave but we need to be careful and he needs
10:12 pm
to be careful. if i was handling that detail, i would be going every body i could at this. this counter assault team responding on that roof, the counter sniper teams in the second they jumped on this, this is not the bodyguard, this is the real thing and that found comes in and all i have to say, thank god his head was turned but let's let the do the investigation and feel a part, figure out who this wacko is fired the shot. who's connecting with it any other tentacles that lead to any other potential attacks but these events coming up and getting closer and closer to november. let the federal government do what they do best. the secret service, regardless of failures today long guns presidents is a historical fact
10:13 pm
that happened with jfk, i just wish there was more so we could debrief that but trump is going to do his thing and all the power to them but let's get security where it needs to be in figure out who the etiquette is and let the tentacles expand so the investigation shut down any potential future attack. >> i wonder about the shooter because it is interesting when you get this identification and some believe the justification, not ready to release it. might be a little reticent to release this because they might find something that can be politically inconvenient some side of the aisle, hesitancy to release information one side of the other could take and use for their political benefit. >> that is the back of the investigation as far as i'm concerned. right now what they have to do
10:14 pm
is i know they have this individual identified. they are going through is going to his background, not just social media. they will do a search warrant on the house and secure as much information as they can get laptops and computers and every piece of social media they have on this guy and then they can but information out. you get one shot at these investigations to get a right because everybody is watching you and you want to get it right so it doesn't happen again and you covered everything. i like everybody bashing the fbi because there's a lot of good players out there and they are doing their jobs and everything they have to do and everybody is ranting and raving about everybody else. we work with them closely through the secret service and fbi when it comes to dignitary protection. over here you had a couple of
10:15 pm
lapses and it may be because they didn't get that protection. as for everybody to determine the let the good people, men and women in the fbi and law enforcement pennsylvania do their job and let's not pressed them on the time comes and i'm sure you will get the information everybody needs but it's their investigation on a need to know basis. >> some witnesses, you can tell me if the name is wrong but lauren blake and jack bauman, thank you all for coming on. hannah, i'm just wondering if you can tell me what you saw and where you were and what you thought when this first hap happened. >> i was in the lawn and i pull out my phone to record a video and i thought what i think a lot of people thought, first shot i thought was a firework and then
10:16 pm
i looked away and looked back and heard more shots and saw the president trump go down and then everything turned into complete chaos. we all went to the ground and we didn't know what was going on. we didn't know how many shooters there were. we didn't know what to do in that exact time but i think i speak for everyone when i say this. we didn't understand what was going to happen at all. >> i can understand that. if i could have the team put their names back up to make sure we are correct in who's who. put their names back up on the teleprompter. it is interesting when you go over this we talk to somebody about 12 feet in front of one of the people who were shot and you look at this and you think, that is as close as you ever want to
10:17 pm
be to something like that. where were you and what did you see? >> we -- i was with hannah on the lawn and we just heard the gunshots and we got down to the ground. there were people panicking, people jumping over each other and crying. i was nervous shooter could spread into the crowd and unlike the former president, he doesn't like us so i was nervous for everyone's safety including the final president. >> when did you realize the former president was safe and how did you respond to the way he reacted? >> whatever everybody was exiting, we were all unsure of his well-being. is he okay? is he that standard? the overall consensus was is doing okay and being taken away.
10:18 pm
>> when the crowd sorted chanting usa, usa, where you among them? did you look at the crowd and think what was happening here? the president's fist bumping us, pumping his fist and saying fight, fight. were you among those in the crowd chanting that? >> i mean, it was a great exciting because we didn't know what else was going on but we thought him going on, we thought the worst. we thought it was worse than it actually was, we didn't know how close of the call it actually was so when we saw him get up and put his fist up in the air, it was almost rejoice will. >> did you think when the former president went down, we are showing the video, maybe this is worse than we first thought? >> i didn't know if it was fatal or not and i also didn't know there were casualties going on.
10:19 pm
i thought shots were going directly to him, i thought the worst that could possibly be happening but when he stood up and told us to fight for our country, it was rejoicing in the moment. >> what do you think this does to the former president? how do you think that the country looks at this from here on out? >> it makes trump supporters more passionate about him, it makes people a little bit angry at this is happening. such a close call and i think people are upset it was a close call and being fatal but we'll see. >> what about you, jack? >> , the lad thing went away it
10:20 pm
did, i'm sorry about everything that happened in all the families affected. we need to remind ourselves we are one country, we are all one people and remember we have the same common goal and that is the greatness in america. we need to be great and bring it back. >> jack, lauren, hannah. thank you all for coming on. we appreciate your time. >> thank you. >> we want to give you an idea of the reaction that people are talking about is handling social media. all of this stuff over the past six, seven, eight hours. let's bring in a new global. >> reaction as you can imagine, pouring in from all corners of the globe from political friends and foes alike. former president obama has had major differences with president trump over the years saying this
10:21 pm
on x, there is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy although we don't know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved former president trump wasn't hurt, seriously hurt and to use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics. michelle and i are wishing him a quick recovery. former president george w. bush along with his wife, laura, putting out a statement thanking the brave men and women who protect political figures. from president biden, trump supported in the selection earlier this evening, taking to the podium and denouncing the shooting. >> there is no place in america for this kind of violence. it is sick. it's sick. one reason we have to unite this country. we cannot allow for this to happen, we cannot be like this. we cannot condone this. >> where the two men, a phone call earlier tonight and hope to hear more details about this. well wishes from the leaders of

japan and australia. the prime minister of the uk and from israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu, sarah and i were shocked by the apparent attack on president trump. we pray for his safety and speedy recovery. nancy pelosi, former speaker of the house and one of terms critics in congress, she says is one his family has been the victim of political violence, i know firsthand political violence of any kind has no place in our society. i think god former president trump is safe as we learn more about this horrifying incident. let us pray those in attendance from the president's rally today are unharmed. in milwaukee right now on the eve of the republican national convention including dancing and barricades closing of streets.
10:23 pm
there are various media outlets reporting new york police increased security around trump tower and other new york landmarks. there is a heightened sense of now. >> when you look at milwaukee and the republican national convention that there are some people like thinking we got this covered? even if they will not change the plan, it sounds like they're going to go over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure every detail is covered and there are no caps. >> cannot afford any slip ups, not after what happened. >> former u.s. marine veteran, it's great to have you on. i want to know what you think, you've been watching this covered all day. the former president getting on a plane to go. we don't know where because we haven't been told but to go somewhere, what you think about -- what is your big thought of
10:24 pm
this? when you first heard about this, what struck you? >> i'm thankful president trump is okay. right before the shot went off, he saw him filled his head and that would happen. behind the scenes, it will take a lot more than that. president trump is able to said he and the american people will not stop fighting, this will not deter the american people. what i've seen something that should never have happened and free country in america where any political opponent take something like this. violence against it political

opponent. his leading presidential candidate and he deserves the best security so to answer, what stood out most is why shooter would be on that roof. before a person security is in a place, security vulnerability assessment. anyone would have looked at the environment and said where the vantage points for the shooter to be? that rooftop was only 130 yards away. an easy shot for even a modest shooter. secure this threat with clear vantage from this rooftop and should have been secured and should have been on that and civilians and police officers and service members with a ri
10:26 pm
rifle. get president trump out of the someone needs to look into why shooter got on the rooftop with the clear vantage sitting a lot podium. they should never have happened. they would have identified that is a threat and address that ahead of time. >> what about the reports that was identified dozen people did saying that there is somebody climbing up this building, do you think it was ignored is nothing? do you think it was something they couldn't -- didn't have the resources to handle? you think somebody assessed that it wasn't that big of a threat? >> when you look at something like this, the leading presidential candidate for this upcoming election in the resources and manpower and if
10:27 pm
they identified this, i could just look at it from the map. they should look at this and say if i was a shooter and want to do harm to president trump, this is where i would be at secret service, they should have had all of that and secured the rooftop deck access or an element right on top of that and should never have got on top of that rooftop. i am thankful a secret service shot him and killed him. however, there should not have been shots fired, he shouldn't have been there in the first place. anything about the security assessments should know that in secret service and anybody involved should have to entered the because this is a long time ahead of the.
10:28 pm
president trump is someone is going to be targeted. unfortunately, that is just reality. >> your insight is valuable as always. thank you for coming on. i want to bring back in kaylee mcghee white. we were listening earlier to alexis mcadams and peter doocy was also reporting that president biden is planning to take down a lot of his advertising, and campaign ads for at least the next couple of days. do you think it is a good strategy? do you think they are doing this in deference to the former president and what happened today? is this something that potentially could be a problem for the campaign? >> i think their motivation is to avoid making themselves look politically bad and what clearly is a tense environment. to be frank, i want to be lectured by president biden about political violence when
10:29 pm
the man got up on the stage last year and called half of the country semifascist for supporting donald trump. i want to be lectured by the likes of barack obama and the other leftists who frankly have encouraged annexation political violence on their own side for the past several years. they refused to condemn black lives matter riots and will get hamas riots on college campus recently when democrats have been given the opportunity to do something about political violence on their own side, they just sit back and watch it happen. most of the pro- hamas protesters who stormed columbia university, the charges against them have been dropped by alvin bragg so that something the democratic party and the left will need to reckon with as we move forward and look at the environment in which this happened. >> and i wonder on the flipside, if you look at the images today the you talk to historians and they will tell you that these images are indeed historic. he saw the president putting his
10:30 pm
fist up in the air saying fight, flight, you will see that again and again. it is something you think the trump campaign would utilize or do you think they want to move past this? get him back to the campaign itself? >> i think this will be the defining image of the 2024 race not his choice, i'm sure he would prefer to talk more about policy but because this is so representative of what he's facing matches as a candidate but a human being and i think when trump focuses this on the american people as you mentioned when he says i'm in the way and they actually want to do this to you, to, that strikes home for a lot of people tonight. that image is going to resonate. i get goosebumps every time i see the clip of him telling his secret service agents wait, wait, let me speak. it's striking and will be the defining image of this campaign,
10:31 pm
absolutely. >> you talk about the image, i think the image you were talking on the left hand side, on the right-hand side we have the president, we had him looking up with his hand up and then the american flag behind him. i'm not sure if we have a to put that full-screen but it's one of those things -- there it is. you have him like this in the flag of the. i wonder you look at history and what is emblazoned in the memories of americans -- that image is going to be among them. >> absolutely. even consider the cross reaction when they saw trump raise his fist, their immediate reaction was to chant usa. these are patriotic people who love their country and want what is best for their country. it's so disturbing to see efforts by biden and others to demonize trump supporters because we see the fruit of that play out right now. >> does the bill organization
10:32 pm
stop right now? is a have to stop for both sides? it down to policy issues instead of name-calling? do they have to get down to campaign stuff and go forward with here's what i want to do and here's what you want to do, let's let the people decide? >> i hope so because our country desperately needs it the democrats launched an entire campaign on fear mongering and rhetoric for the end of democracy as we know it. they haven't talked about policy because biden's policies have not helped americans. dave focused his entire campaign on donald trump, fear mongering about him and what he represents, what his agenda is in this is the result so americans need to wrestle with you and i hope the biden campaign takes a step back and do some serious soul-searching about the message it was platforming for the past several months because we do need to lower the rhetoric, the temperature of this country and until then, i really fear for
10:33 pm
the future direction of the country. >> thank you for coming on, we appreciate it. we were talking last night, you and i for on this same set talking about potential cease-fire, framework for cease-fire and israel and here we are 24, 25, maybe 26 hours later and it's interesting that that story has one, there's no remedy, no conclusive answers coming out of it but the story is on the back burner. >> well that's because of what we are seeing right now. this assassination attempt by the shooter. it is interesting what kaylee was speaking to -- there is connective tissue between some of that rhetoric out of hamas with the rhetoric directed -- that tactical world, that my piece but the fact is when you systematically go after someone
10:34 pm
like resident trump as name-calling as you said, you start pointing your finger and attacking him and spreading almost propaganda, it takes me to believe you are destined to see something like this pop out of the woodwork by taking young minds and twisting them against trump readings that rhetoric and propaganda and focusing eight years on this guy, he was have wax jobs out of the woodwork will start to believe that -- >> believe they are doing the right thing because they've been told so many times that this person's ability, this person is hitler, this person is bad and if this person gets in office and it looks in the past ten days, it looks like more than ever this person is going to get back in office, you think this person is evil. >> it metastasize us as we see
10:35 pm
it, doctors, you called him hitler for how many years? you demonize his americans who want to see what's best for the country, you start pointing her fingers up the people who voted for him and wonder how long it will be until someone like this idiot pops out of the woodwork. the problem is there's a lot of guns in this country and legally they can be purchased, i am a fan of the second amendment between all of politics and name-calling and rhetoric and propaganda, it's a must a question of time until you have one of these kids like we saw three palestine movement and antifa in 2020, blm and all this stuff popping out, it doesn't take much for one idiot to fire a round at 130 yards and missed the president within a matter of
10:36 pm
millimeters and i got to say to myself, with got to come together and snuff this nonsense off and put together and get back to the issues like you said. >> and how many times to be talk to these young people at these rallies on campuses where they have no idea what they were talking about. they didn't know what it meant to say from the river to the sea get they said it again and again with no concept with they were talking about. they were there because they thought in their minds eye or somebody told them that it was the right thing to do this kind of the same thing we are talking about here. it is easy to believe if you're young and uninformed that this is the right thing, the right fight. >> is that impressionable mind, the undeveloped mind and the common thread -- >> , the fbi i'm being told has identified the shooter. we have the identity?
10:37 pm
fbi identified thomas matthew crookes thomas matthew crookes. as the subject on july 13 in butler, pennsylvania. this remains active ongoing investigation and anyone with information may assist with the investigation is encouraged to submit photos or videos online and while we are talking about this, former u.s. army reserve captain abel on this, it is important but to you first, it seems to be everybody who's got this information now, 20 years old from pennsylvania is now going over looking at his social media footprint trying to find out who he was involved in, what exactly was his ideology and his background. that is what we can do.
10:38 pm
>> based on age in the last 30 seconds, 20 years old, impressionable. his physical, male, white, the capability of getting up on the rooftop. very disturbing that wasn't covered, i won't be pointing the finger at the secret service but as they continue the litigation and agree, let them do their job. most of these guys are very skilled, they mean well and have a lot of tools and they will continue to unravel based on search warrants and subpoenas and they will start looking at the cell phone records and start peeling away all of the layers to figure out who he's connected to if he was acting alone. what his belief system was to figure out what the motivators were that got him on the roo rooftop. the fact that the fbi released this to me, that is a sign they realize there are a lot of
10:39 pm
eyeballs right now and i think they understand that transparency is really important especially with the fact that donald trump is as boisterous as you can be, they are doing the right to get the information as quick as possible. >> would you agree with that? what is your thoughts now that we know the identity -- the 20-year-old alleged shooter, the shooter, thomas matthew crookes, what you think of this? >> first of all, prayers go out to the victims family and the audience watching president trump. these are patriotic americans going out supporting resident trump doing their civic duty and getting themselves involved in the political process, tragedy. he has taken -- he almost took a bullet for the american people but i agree if you look -- it is a little early but clearly this is a security failure.
10:40 pm
we had reports of people identifying this suspect on the rooftop pointing them out to law enforcement possibly secret service and he had access to get to the rooftop with a gun climbing the ladder to take a direct shot is very concerning and i do think after it's all said and done, future events especially rnc convention it will be higher security measures but the profile of this individual, a 20-year-old male, it is interesting how much damage the kid can do and will take out the former president so we look at our adversaries watching closely here in the united states and it seems like we are in political chaos all the time. we need cooler heads to prevail and calm the temperatures. >> do think the identification of the shooter could be politicized? of course it's going to be politicized, do you worry that it is going to be politicized to the end?
10:41 pm
>> it's important to know whether the the rhetoric on the left has caused this possible assassination justification so that is what concerns me. it could also possibly bring others who want to do this because you saw biden took down those ads he has playing are about a threat to democracy so it would motivate will to take out some like president trump. these are young impressionable people in politics seems to take over our mind we have to be on guard so this is polarizing right now. >> you talk about threat to democracy and a husband the common phrase used by the democrats and then you have leading democrats and democratic writers and people in the party saying we never thought he was a threat to democracy, just kind of thing.
10:42 pm
you can't just keep saying somebody is a threat to democracy and somebody is hitler and somebody is this without somebody believing what you are saying. >> absolutely. they reap what they sow and even biden himself has been using this rhetoric and he is the sitting president of the united states. whether he uses the rhetoric because he believes it or knows it helps him electorally, it is dangerous. we have to go back to how the country is supposed to operate worry discuss and debate on the policies, not try to lock up the former president and use software but our country looks like a third world. we have a president being locked up, conviction and out an attempted assassination, this is not a good look for the united states on a global stage so i think our adversaries are watching closely and i hope everybody in our government realizes the seriousness of what happened today. >> thank you, appreciate it. former police lieutenant and
10:43 pm
steve rogers. thank you for coming on, i know you are listening to the conversation, what are your thoughts on the identification of the shooter? thomas matthew crooks of duffel part pennsylvania. quoting here from the release, the subject involved in the assassination attempt of former president donald trump july 13 in butler, pennsylvania. this remains active ongoing investigation. anyone with information who may assist with information, submit photos or videos online at fbi.gov/beutler or call 1-800-call-fbi. the fbi said during this whole thing they needed videotapes, they need videotapes because they wanted to put the rest of the pieces together so tell me, do you think that this is
10:44 pm
critical to get to the context? the entire picture? >> it is very critical. make it much easier to track down people that they have associated with and keep in mind he didn't wake up this morning and decide to do this. there is reconnaissance and he knew exactly who he was aiming at and that there would be a clear view. so there was a security breakdown. hopefully lessons learned but more important, we find out the overwhelming majority of these spaces, somebody else knew something. whether internet or having him discuss something like this for the friend, a relative that on the road of police interview people, someone may have seen
10:45 pm
something but didn't say anything. >> if you continue this investigation, was the first place to go? his immediate family, closest friends? were the first people you are interested in talking to to find out more about this person? >> start at ground zero, the home, the family. they know his movements at who he associates with, they know his behavior pattern and on and on so start with the family and extend out to friends, maybe work relationships and etc. but ground zero is clearly important. pavers may have seen him acting differently, where did he get the gun in the seems to be connected. at the end of the day they will find out who what, when and where. >> when you talk about where he gets the gun, maybe they have, don't you think in a matter of moments or minutes or maybe a couple of hours identified where the gun came from x is that a
10:46 pm
fair assessment? >> it is a fair assessment. i'm sure they have a lot of questions answered but not releasing that right now. i believe they are probably concerned if he had any involvement with anything else especially in the planning stage so they had to be careful before they release information and you could get your bottom dollar they are very involved in this. >> meeting what? in what capacity? >> ideology for example, we are going to learn about his ideology, was he radicalized? did he work alone? these are actions that need answered to find out what the motive is. >> you talk about ideology and we done this over the course of crimes over a long period of time and you wonder, at 20 years old, it's hard for 20-year-old to build up his ideology of some

sort. >> i don't think so. maybe years ago, yes all you see or hear or read about is these groups coming into the country on the internet and they said over and over, they are impressionable and what did they hear on the air a lot? the demonization of the opposition and donald trump has been demonized by the courts and congress and the president of the united states, i could go down this long list of unnecessary demonizing him and his followers of government has to wake up and realize they are causing a firestorm to develop we are all going to regret. time to calm down and work together heal the country. >> thank you for coming on and appreciate your time. you spent a great deal of your
10:48 pm
career profiling, you try to identify if this person means harm to somebody. >> i think there is a systematic effort to demonize trump. i think that is exactly what it is and we are seeing the fruits and results of that demonization for almost a decade metastasizing coming to fru fruition, landing on a weapon in the hands of a 20-year-old shooter who got up on that building. it was the perfect storm if i had to venture to guess, not enough manpower secret service personnel dedicated to that security detail but like the gentleman said, all of that will want to rebel, e-mails and conversations, the family, all that will be peeled back and we
10:49 pm
will find out who this guy is. i wouldn't be surprised if it's not that sophisticated because any idiot struggling to cook staring at the phone voted by countries and adversaries in the united states, don't bring that propaganda into their brain and we see this with the free palestine movement and kids across the internet where they get their information from the powerful psychological will. >> social media is there ideology where they get their information in there getting their news from tik tok. fifteen seconds of this, 45 seconds of this, amid of this. is that where you are leading? >> a powerful psychological tool, cia great infiltrator if you will. short bursts and attention spans are low.
10:50 pm
anybody could cut a video on kat cut for tik tok. hearing of the stuff for a while and i've seen the effects attack on israel, anti-semitism pro,'s rhetoric comes out. university professors for the last decade brainwashing these kids the it is he running around setting up in camas and now you got this. this is a cia great infiltration so easy to manipulate algorithms and build shooters, killers it doesn't take much again for the 130-yard shot and thank god trump happen to be looking this way because anyone with sniper education can tell you based on the video that had trump staring forward, he might not be with us today.
10:51 pm
>> i wonder if the doctor janette nesheiwat would like to join us because it's interesting and i don't know enough about social media i'm wondering what you think about that theory, the fact that social media at the very least in a list is having an oversized impact on our young people, we know that much. i'm not saying it's negative or positive, i just know it is oversized. >> absolutely. i think social media has had tremendous negative impact on all aspects of society especially younger generations. what happens especially those who have underlined mental or emotional issues, they become alienated and feel rejected. they have a sense of anger and hostility towards others, they don't have the coping mechanisms to handle their stress and anger and sometimes we see it manifest with violence. we see that they are withdrawing from society, their family and
10:52 pm
friends, their community and sometimes just obsessed for violence and any other outlets and unfortunate because we see a common behavior, a common theme among these mass shooters and assassins and violent people. sometimes they are lunatics and violent political lunatics but sometimes underlined mental health components and substance abuse of the drugs and alcohol which will further exacerbate undiagnosed mental illness so vicious cycle in society. we see starbucks and mcdonald's in every corner in this country. we need easy access to medical care and mental health access to put a stop to this and in my opinion, social media should be banned to all teens, young children because it's done nothing but harm.
10:53 pm
>> one reason we bring kaylee mcghee white on, she is young, a political reporter and political analyst. i'm wondering as you watch as listen to this conversation, i'm wondering if you think it's a fair take away. maybe social media is being built nice, demonized? do use the word? weaponize? >> social media has only ever had negative effects on my generation, generation z and its exacerbated problems that people my age were already experiencing. the sad reality is that many gen z and younger americans are completely on any moral grounding. they have no idea what to believe or why they believe it and that makes them right to be radicalized and we have seen this play out the past couple of years on college campuses across the country. they do become radicalized by extreme rhetoric and we don't
10:54 pm
know the motivations of the shooter, we don't know what his political affiliations might be but certainly this is an overriding problem with my generation. >> is it safe to believe in some capacity like we've seen in all of these anti- israel protest on campus across the country, we talk to these young people and they don't really have a basis for why they are out there. they decided to go out and join this group or whatever, do you think we are talking about the same type of feeling? the same drive for these young people? >> in this case i certainly don't believe you can spend eight years. mongering about donald trump and his supporters and threatening that another return to the white house would be the end of democracy as we know it and not expect some people to take that seriously. it turns out when you fear mongering, people do listen. in this case, there have been
10:55 pm
disastrous results. >> kaylee, standby. are we on the same base here? >> i think she nailed it. i believe social media has been weaponize, one of the dumber generations of kids, what is interesting as i run my profiles free palestine movement looking at this shooter released, i'm going to dig into him, the less they know, the crazier they get. the less they know, the more boisterous they are, the more they talk and post videos. i think back to what the doctor was saying, i think there is a need to connect something if i was to put together an intelligence based profile for the purposes of preventing another potential attack like we just saw. you got to understand who people are pulling the trigger you've got an army of drones starting to rise up because of this anti- trump frederick delivered to
10:56 pm
millions of users getting dumber and dumber by the minute with 152nd clips. it doesn't have to be hamas, it doesn't have to be 25 or 45 militants ready to take them israel. he got a problem emerging and growing and i'm sure the fbi is going to start looking. they were the best investigative agencies in the world. start profiling was these kids are popping up to be how to prevent that from continuing to fester. >> he called your name and asked if you wanted to weigh in and i think you credited but you think we are going down a dangerous path here? >> absolutely, i agree. this is why it is important to have a doctor, a pediatrician so we can start with the foundation and look to see early in life. for example, someone who has get sophronia, hugh tend to see
10:57 pm
signs and symptoms of mental illness and diseases and patterns of behavior early in life so we can start to make a record of that want to track them and make sure we can try to control her symptoms and manage their stress and manage whether it is bipolar disorder or schizophrenia or anxiety or depression or some sort of compulsive behavior to identify and manage it so that person doesn't go off on the wrong track and doesn't go off killing people and hurting others so it is a matter of having a doctor that follows you and takes care of you, having a good family social support system and people in the community, if you see something, say something. if the teacher sees something off with their student, say something, talk to the parents and talk to their doctors. get these people the help they need early so we can try to mitigate any negative outcomes we see today. unfortunately, the loss of an innocent bystander into people

critically injured in. grateful to god that we didn't lose president trump and he was mildly injured but things could have been a lot worse. >> we got about two minutes and 45 seconds left in the show. we will continue coverage on this. the fbi for breaking news identified thomas matthew? , 20 years old of bethel park and savannah. this is how the fbi categorized this tonight. in the assassination attempt of former president donald trump on july 13. we can tell you the former president has left the hospital, he was checked out, we saw him a video of him arriving at the airport in newark, new jersey and we do not know exactly where he's going but apparently he is flying somewhere, maybe directly to the republican national convention may be somewhere else but the former president has been checked out by doctors and he appears to be fine and that

is what his team is telling us and what his doctors are saying because they released him. if we can go around warmer time very quickly, 30 seconds each. final thoughts on what you witnessed today? >> i thought a man in the 70s attempted assassination and grazed his ear through his fist up like a beast and got extracted and however many hours later on his way to his next location to continue. i say hats off to him. i say don't pull the trigger quickly on the secret service and their response. all this starts from the top down. make sure manpower was in place. if it wasn't, we will find out soon. that will be part of the investigation. but the fbi continue to unravel this case with this kid make anything that bothers you about the way the former president was medically? >> no, he's a tough person. i just hope he rests takes it
11:00 pm
easy because i want him to develop any complications from this year injury like balance issues or dizziness or infection but all i can say is i'm grateful to god is okay. i pray for peace, courage and resilience not only for president trump but our entire nation because it doesn't just affect him but everyone, the bystanders against everyone in the country. >> fifteen seconds. >> i think the american people want some answers and also want consequences. i do think we are going to see a rally around the former president by many americans would not have considered themselves trump supporters before this and want to make sure he gets answers and consequences. >> we will have continuing coverage on the assassination attempt against the former president. breaking news coverage, i am trace gallagher in los angeles. >> take a look at what happened --
